Blest Sunday: Growing Green

MeOW It’s Blest Sunday. Me luvs Blest Sunday. Ya’ know, we count our blessings each day, but we so luv takin’ the time to fank God fur them and fank all our furiends fur sharin’ their lives with us.

          I’s luvs Blest Sunday too Dezi. We really are blest to have so much. Our furiend Valentine recently innerviewed us, and it reminded us just how blest we really are. You can check out the furst installment here.

Yeah Raena, what an innerview. Valentine asked a lot of great questions. Of course we meowed ‘bout how it is bein’ Service Kitties, but he also asked a lot of questions, we bet peeps have wondered ‘bout and just haven’t asked. As a matter of fact, he asked so many good questions, he’s gonna post it in pawrts.

 

          Ya’ reckon he also decided to do it that way cuz we’re kinda wordy sissy? 

 

Wordy? Who’ve you been meowin’ too Raena? We’re not wordy, we just have lots to say. ‘Purrtant stuffs. Wordy means you’re meowin’ nonsense; and we don’t meow nonsense?.

          Of course I’s agree with you sissy. But, we have been called wordy and long winded befur. I’s don’t know why anypawdy would say that, but mommy says it’s true. 

 

Well, that’s okay Raena. Peeps can say whatever they want. Mommy says us Southerners have lots of colorful ways to express ourselves. So, we’re just doin’ what comes naturally. MOL

          Well sissy, did you see what Valentine and his mommy sent us as a fanky fank ya’?

Me sure did Raena. Mommy said she’d never seen such a cute little grass kit. We’d never heard of Maggies Micro-greens befur, but we can’t wait fur our grass to start growin’. Fank you so much Valentine, we do luv grass.

          That’s fur sure sissy. I’s couldn’t hardly wait fur mommy to get it planted up. ‘Pawrently, we have to wait fur it to sprout now. Kinda like when mommy grows her salads in the Aerogarden.

Me sure hopes we don’t have to wait that long Raena. Fanks to awnty Anonymous, mommy’s got more salad greens to plant fur herself. Looks like we’ll all be eatin’ salads befur too long. MOL

 

          Awnty Anonymous also sent mommy some more of that shelf stable milk so she could make more of that cheater mac and cheese. We really do ‘purreciate her. Mommy made a big ole plate last night.

Yep, and then you jumped on the counter right next to that hot burner. Oh Me Cats were you in trouble!!! 

 

          Yeah sissy, I’s guess I’s shouldn’t have done that. Mommy was so scared she was cryin’. And I’s never seen mommy move that fast, have you? Did you see her come runnin’ fur me? 

 

Who could miss it Raena. Her arms were flailin’ thru the air and she was hollerin’ “Danger!!! Danger!!! Don’t step on that burner!!!”. 

 

          She snatched me up so fast mine’s head was spinnin’. I’s purrobably won’t be doin’ that again. MOL

Well Raena, me’s sure mommy will be happy to hear that. Ya’ know, there’s usually a reason fur the rules mommy makes. We might not always unnerstand, but mommy says they’re fur our own good and safety. You coulda got really hurt ifin you’d stepped on that hot burner. Me’s just glad mommy got to you befur anythin’ bad happened. Yet another blessin’ we’re fankful fur this week.

 

          You’re right sissy. I’s a blest kitty fur sure. We’re so fankful fur all our furiends too. We live such blest lives.

  6. You never talk nonsense my sweets! Mom is told she is wordy, but like you, she has a lot of important things to talk about. It is my pleasure to have a special part two post to share the rest of your interview! I guess I asked a lot of questions, but I would think of a question for you and then another question would come from that question and so on and so forth until there were many! And that’s great ’cause I find out so much more about you!

    I was so worried I was sweating when I started to read that you jumped up by the burner! Thank goodness that you didn’t get your lil’ bean pads burnt or fur singed!! That would have been awful, just awful! Your momma acted lighting fast & saved you from what could have been a terrible accident! Maybe she a super hero?! XOXO

    1. Fanks Valentine. We thught you asked pawsum questions. We can’t wait fur da second installment. Mommy does worry tho’ sometimes, dat peeps might think we meow too much. We just tell her not to worry. Peeps who know us, know we’re chatty cats. MOL And yes, mommy was lightnin’ fast. She hasn’t figgered out why Raena would jump on da counter after knowin’ it’s a no no and livin’ here fur a year without ever doin’ it, but it won’t be somethin’ she repeats. MOL Not sure who was more ‘fraid after it was all over with. Big hugs

  10. We are glad your Mommy saw you, Raena…and snatched you out of harm’s way. You don’t evfur want to find out what a burn feels like, that is fur sure.

    And yes there are so many blessings, and our furends and furmily are way at the top of that list:)

    We feel blessed just looking outside at all the springtime beauty! And this spring we have the super channel of bird TV…since we never had feeders at the windows before. Petcretary has been taking some pictures, maybe we will have a guest post one of these days, but of course we will have to forewarn the Tabbies o’TT! MOL!
