A Special Day in the Cat Blogospere

Well Furiday is here and we’s all welkumin’ in da weekend. We was gunna take today off, but it’s another special day in da Cat Blogosphere so we kuldn’t let it go wiffout sayin’ a little sumfin’. You know when we got started in Blogville we knew absolutely nuffin’. We don’t member exactly how we furst found out ‘bout BlogPaws or da Cat Blogospere, but we found ‘em purretty early on. While BlogPaws is a community fur all pet bloggers and has things like conventions and such; da Cat Blogosphere is a smaller group of just us Cat bloggers.

Da Cat Blogosphere is a place where we can go and link up and see other cat bloggers posts as well. It’s a place dat lists all da special days we celebrate here in Blogville. And when there’s a birthday or blogoversary or even a death, you know you can count on it bein’ posted at da Cat Blogosphere. But hey, it’s not run by a machine. Sumpawdy has to be respawnsible fur puttin’ all dat infurmation together and postin’ it fur all of us to see. And let me tell you, it’s not an easy job. We only have our blog to keep up wiff and we get behind and furget things here all da time.

We thought we shuld give a little background ‘bout da Cat Blogosphere cuz altho’ we found it early on, we’s recently talked wiff more than a few kitty bloggers who didn’t know it was here. Paw on any Cat Blogosphere in red to go right on over and check it out fur yous self. Ifin you have any special days you want listed on da calendar, all you have to do is submit ‘em. You know like birthdays, gotchadays, blogoversaries and da like. And dat brings me back to da part ‘bout it not bein’ a machine. There’s a real live purrson who takes care of all those calendar listings and postin’ da daily link up.

Who’s dat you ask? Y it’s Little Isis’ daddy Mo of course. And da special day me was talkin’ ‘bout earlier? Well today be Mo’s birthday. Dat’s right, da cat man behind da Cat Blogosphere is havin’ a birthday. We wanna say a meowsy big Fank You Mo. You’s membered to list our blogoversary yesfuday and our birthdays and gotchadays too. Just as you member fur all da other cat bloggers. We also wanna wish ya’ a very Happy Birthday. We sure hope it’s Purrfect.

Happy artsy Caturday to you all. Afur me goes any further, me wants to pawlogize to anypawdy what thought sissy had gone to heaven when they saw yesfurdays blog post title. We thought we had worded it so dat wuldn’t be da case. Sissy just wanted to tell mommy how much she luvved and purreciated her. Me will be writin’ one of me’s own to mommy, so we hope you stay tuned. Anyways, we messed up and furgot to add da link to da Pet Parade. Can you believe it? A hop dat we’s purrticipated in since almost da beginnin’, and we furgot to add it. Mommy gets more and more furgetful every day, and now it’s rubbin’ off on sissy and me. MOL  Check out sissy below in da same effect as me’s top foto. Mommy just adjusted da settings a bit and voila’.

We also furgot da Pet Blogger Blooper Roundup hosted by The Lazy PitBull. Me’s gunna let mommy slide on dat one since this is only da second month. And altho’ we’s a little late, we’s gunna join up today. We’s also gunna join up wiff da gawjus Athena fur Caturday Art. And we don’t know how many of ya’ be purrticipatin’ in da BlogPaws #BoostYourBlog10K hop, but ifin you’re not, ya’ might wanna check it out. This month is all ‘bout fotos. A Day For Conversational Quotes

Mommy it’s so purretty today, can we go fur a stroll later?

Dezi it’s time to write your blog post. It’s finally Friday dear, and yes, we’ll go for a stroll later.

Oh mommy today be da last day on da 3 day quote challenge. Me has a really good one fur today. 

You do? Well you need to tell everyone the rules of the challenge first honey.

Okay. Me also wants to thank da Menagerie Mom from Four Legged Furballs. Here’s da rules:

So there ya’ have it. As we have dun fur da last 2 days, we’s leavin’ da challenge open fur anypawdy who wuld like to do it. Just follow da rules and start quotin’. 

 

Yesfurday when mommy and me were out and ‘bout after hers doctors pointment we were talkin’ ‘bout all da quotes one uses in a day. Lots of us use quotes in our normal everyday language dat we don’t give a second though ‘bout. We don’t know when they started or who actually coined them. You know da kind, mommys are famous fur sayin’ to their daughters, “Beauty is in da eye of da beholder.” And then there’s da one, “if ______________ jumped off a bridge would you want to as well?” Anyways, you get da idea. Mommy uses a lot of them. Since we began writin’ mommy’s had to be very careful ‘bout “givin’ credit where credit’s due.”  Anyways, me’s quote fur today is:

 

“Adopt Don’t Shop” 

 

We searched high and low fur da name of da purrson respawnsible fur this quote and came up empty. It  was furst used as a campaign slogan to get more peeps to adopt shelter and rescue animals stead of buyin’ from breeders. Today, it’s almost as pawpular as sum of those old conversational quotes we talked ‘bout earlier.  So dat wraps up our 3 day quote challenge. This has been fun.

Oh What A Night

(Dezi sings) Oh what a night…Oh hey, it’s Finally Furiday, WooHoo!!! Meez singin’? You wanna know what dat was all ‘bout? Well let me tell ya’. Things have been goin’ purretty good round here lately. Sissy and me have both been eatin’ really well, no pawdee box purroblems, no errant hairballs, and weez been playin wiff a new toy. Stay tuned fur more on dat in a later posty. And then last night…OMC mommy was fit to be tied. And when me sez night, what me means to say is da lonely hour of 4:30 a.m. when mommy had gotten so tired she kuld barely hold her eyes open and we was finally goin’ to sleep. She gathered me up so we kuld join sis Lexi in da bed. We turned off da last of da lights and headed to da bedroom. We always stop off at da bed to turn on da lektric blanky and tell sissy weez comin’ to bed so she needs to move off mommys pillow.

And dat’s when it all happened. Throw up was all over da bed!!! Yep, sure nuff, sis Lexi had thrown up hers dinner on da not so soft anymore top blanky and all over da edge of da mattress right next to mommy’s pillow. She was layin’ in da one clean spot on da bed. Me looked at mommy who was starin’ down wif half closed eyes in disbelief. Me’s guessin’ we ain’t goin’ to be right now me mewed quietly. Mommy set me down and moved sis Lexi and started cleanin’. Da whole time she cleaned she was shakin’ her head and repeatin’, “We don’t throw up where we sleep. We don’t pee or throw up where we eat, sleep or sit. Why did you do this Lexi? We have a pawdee box room full of piddle pads.” Sissy didn’t care, she was already back in da livin’ room getting a drink of water. Me was sittin’ at da edge of da pawdee box room door watchin’ an exhausted mommy tryin’ to get da bed sleep ready. Here we was, me’s once purroud sissy dat wuld never throw up on da bed, was now eever to weak or too lazy to get off da bed to leave her yack depawsits. An hour later mommy finally got da bed all clean and we turned in.

A few hours later mommy and me was awakened by a heavin’ sissy. Yep she was getting’ ready to yack again. Course mommy kuldn’t move, so she hollered, “Not on the BED Lexi!!!” So sissy took 2 steps and stood on hers climbin’ steps and one convulse later, blah. All over da steps. Then she went and stepped in it afur leavin’ another depawsit all over da floor. Me just lay there in disbelief. This ain’t how me’s sissy duz things. Me just dusn’t unnerstand why she duz things like this. Mommy sez it’s a combination of her age and da CKD; but in times like these me just wants me’s old sissy back. And while mommy was tryin’ to clean a bit and fix our brekky, me had her. She was climbin’ all over da Liberty tree and checkin’ out da big cold outdoors thru da crack in da door. Mommy has lots of laundry to do now and sum sweepin’, moppin’ and carpet monsterin’ too. Me just hopes sissy be thru throwin’ up fur awhile. Course now dat da bed is covered in piddle pads, nopawdy wants to lay on it.

Well me’s gunna go take me’s place at da top of da Liberty tree while mommy gets sum work dun. Weez’ll be by to visit as soon as we can. And as we do every Furiday weez joinin’ Rascal and Rocco fur da Pet Parade blog hop. And maybe fur mommy’s sake, me will switch songs. Me dusn’t think she wants to repeat or even think ‘bout last night again. We sure wuld purreciate sum purrayers fur sis Lexi and all of us ifin you can spare ’em. Fanks.
