I’s gettn’ to that sissy. I’s just wanted to tell everypawdy what mommy gave us furst. I’s do luvs gettin’ luvved on. Anyways, you’re right sissy, we do have a scratcher to meow ‘bout, so I’s’ll get to it. Ya’ll know how much we kitties luvs to scratch. Ya’ know, it’s not somethin’ that can be trained out of us. Mommy says us kitties are really smart and can learn lots of things. And, while you might be able to teach kitty not to scratch the furniture, you can’t make kitty quit scratchin’ altogether. And why would ya’ wanna? After all, we’ve got claws made fur scratchin’. That’s where a good scratcher comes in. Not only does it help purrtect the human furniture, but it gives us kitties a place to sharpen our claws and get a great mani-pedi.

Yeah, it’s purretty. And, fankfully, there’s no assembly required.

          The PetFusion 3-sided Vertical scratcher comes in 2 sizes, Standard: 18” X 10 1/2” X 16” and Large: 23.9” X 10.5” X 21” at a cost of $44.34 and $59.95 on sale right now. It’s really ‘purrtant to get a scratcher that’s large enuff fur kitty to get a really good stretch. All that scratchin’ we kitties do isn’t just ‘bout a mani-pedi, we’re also exercising our muscles. Cuz we’re such large kitties, we got the Large one. It’s a really nice size and purretty sturdy to boot. It also came with a page of silicone grippers that were easily applied so that it wouldn’t fly out away from us while we stretched and scratched. It’s made of cardboard altho’ the scratchin’ surface isn’t like any other cardboard scratcher we’ve seen. Mommy took some close ups so ya’ll could get a good look at it. Ya’ may be askin’ why that matters. Well, as we pointed out in our Why Cats Scratch Service Cat Monday posty, kitties like certain textures better than others. And, ya’ might have more than one kitty in your house that purrfurs somethin’ different each.

Yeah sissy, initially neither of us showed much interest in this purrticular scratcher. With it’s long  scratchin’ surface ‘stead of the traditional honeycomb like holes, we couldn’t really get much of a grip fur stretchin’ and pullin’. Even the old silvervine couldn’t entice us. And the bag of nip that came with it? Throw that stuff in the trash, it ain’t any good. Mommy couldn’t smell it at all, and even our keen sniffers couldn’t pick it up. Anyways, mommy moved the scratcher ‘round the house and furinally found a spot where we’ll use it.

opposed to the traditional honeycomb shape.

          Meow fur yourself Raena. Me still doesn’t like it. It just doesn’t feel right to me’s paws. And the walk thru cubby isn’t really big enuff fur me. Me has a kinda boxy build unlike your long thin build, so me needs a wider openin’. Oh me could fit thru ifin me wanted, but me just purrfurs somethin’ a bit bigger.

Hmmmmm What’s on the other side? Fanky fankfully,

choke or strangle a kitty girl.

That’s okay sissy. We just happen to be one of those houses where we like different textures. You kind’a like scratchin’ carpeted surfaces and I’s can’t ‘magine why. And yet, we both like sisal. Anyways, with the PetFusion 3-sided Vertical scratcher sittin’ in the dinin’ room, I’s use it sometimes while waitin’ on mommy to fix our brekky. I’s can scratch and keep tabs on mommy at the same time. It’s not mine’s favorite scratcher, but it does look nice and will get the job done in a pinch. So, I’s give it 2 paws up. Mommy says she thinks it’s a bit overpriced cuz of the strange scratchin’ surface. And, we’re not sure ifin it’s just ours or ifin they all come that way, but ours has a notch cut out on just one of the corners?. Kind’a strange ifin ya’ ask me. We can’t see the purr-puss in the notch, so we’re thinkin’ it just might be a quality control issue.

Now, the scratcher came in a huge box with tons of packin’ paper. I’s mean a box that any size kitty would luv. That Chewy sure knows how to make a kitty happy.

It’s not quite as tall as the other scratcher, but it’s a nice size.

          They sure do Raena. We must’ve pulled out packin’ paper fur a hunnerd minutes. What fun. And, Chewy has all kinds of goodies fur all the furry, feathered, scaled and unfurries in your life.
