It’s time fur anuvver Blest Sunday posty. And let me tell ya’ weez fur sure had a blest week. As ya’ know sis Lexi had been on da down side of ups and downs and had quit eatin’ again. Well purrayers and medicine turned dat wound and she headed back fur da up side. She wasn’t eatin’ as much as mommy wulda liked, but at least she was eatin’. She’s been finishin’ off tween 10 and 12 ounces a day. Weez’ll be even happier when she be eatin’ at least 16 ounces a day. (yes, weez big kitties) And you all know how much mommy likes hers coffee. She sez she needs it. Sumfin’ ‘bout a caffeine addiction. All me knows is dat ifin she dusn’t get it she gets weally shaky and cwabby. And this past week she ran out. Yep, sure nuff. She was climbin’ da walls and pullin’ hers hair out. It’s a site to see fur sure.

So there we was trwyin’ to visit all our furiends and da big UPS twuck dwove into da complex. We didn’t pay him much tention cuz we hadn’t ordered anyfin’ and wasn’t spectin’ nuffin’. When all of da sudden there was a knock on da door. Well it’s still purretty hot here and we be on sum plan wiff da lectwic company where they chawrge us more purr klw duwin’ da day and then da cheap at night and weekends so mommy sits wound a lot in nuffin’ more than a big long shirt and hers unmentionables. Anyways, me jumped outta hers lap and headed fur da door wuff mommy wight behind me. She opened da door and sed, “Hello hon, we weren’t expectin’ ya’.” Our UPS man handed mommy a box and da chatted a minute ‘bout da wevver and left. Mommy opened da box and inside was a case of Tiki Cat chicken and duck noms. OMC Weez luv those noms. Mommy gwabbed da camewa and stawrted takin’ fotos. Sis Lexi weally luvs ‘em and was more than happy to pose wiff ‘em. She fawt she was gunna get a can wight then. She didn’t, mommy made hers wait fur dinner, but she posed anyways.

Mommy had just sat down to post a fank you on Facebook and there was anuvver knock on da door. Mommy went to da door and there stood da UPS man again. Hims pawlogized and sed hims furgot a box and handed mommy anuvver box. Mommy kuldn’t magine what it kuld be, but she opened it up and stawrted cwyin’. Inside dat box was a case of da Folger’s canned coffee fur hers to dwink. She was so cited she made a cup wight then. Sumhow we fink weez got shortchanged. Mommy got to enjoy hers box wight away and we had to wait till dinner. MOL Dat’s okay, mommy weally needed dat coffee. Awnty Jennifer and gwand awnty Peggy, yous awe da bestest. Fank yous so very much. Yous made our week and beyond.

Dezi, you got sum ‘splainin’ to do…

Yep dat’s zactly what mommy sed to me when we began to wead da comments fwum Fursday’s posty and our emails. And what better day to put a pawsitive light on a negative than Blest Sunday. Cuz yous know we be blest. So weez told you Fursday dat we was gunna be takin’ sum cweative licenses wiff our Izzy and Tristy flat scout twavel posties. And dat it was gunna be fun. We also added dat it wuld be a challenge cuz mommy has a blood clot on hers bwain dat affects hers cweativity and short term memorwy. Thus story tellin’ (ie: lyin’) isn’t sumfin’ mommy duz very well. Me must tell ya’ dat mommy never did like lyin’ and lyers so dat pawrt of da injury dusn’t weally bovver her. Da pawrt of da short term memorwy fing dat duz bovver her is da furgettin’ fings and peeps and names and such. So mommy lives by a calendar. She puts everyfin’ she needs to do in not 1 but several calendars and sets up weminders fur da weally purrtant stuffs. Da puter has been a pawsum help wiff these fings. As fur da cweativity, mommy wrote fings like songs and poetry and short stowries all based in fact. She sez it dusn’t take a lot of cweativity to write facts. Least dat be hers ‘pinion. So da clot never weally bovvered her in dat wespect. ifin our Flat Fursday adventures wemind you of a book yous read or movie yous seen it’ll be cuz mommy and me will draw fwum those speriences as well as sum of mommys own to write ‘bout Izzy and Tristy’s adventures. Mommy has led a very adventurwous life back afur hers accident. Who is she twyin’ to kid…it’s been purretty ‘citin’ since da accident too. And as you can see fwum our fotos today, mommy’s been playin’ in da foto apps again. MOL Hope yous enjoy seein’ them.

It’s not all good tho’, it duz come wiff it’s own issues. Da blood clot be da main weason mommy has constant migwaines. Migwaines be pawrtly a blood flow issue and when da blood can’t flow fureely it causes purroblems. So da clot on mommys bwain duz affect her health and pain levels. But mommy sez da bestest medicine is a purrin’ kitty massagin’ yous head. But mommy sez da blood clot be da least of hers concerns cuz da pain in da rest of hers body, da sciatica and da neuropaffy causes hers more aches and affects hers daily life in ways da clot dusn’t.

Fur those of you dat asked, No, there weally isn’t any tweatment. Yes they kuld do surgerwy and twy to dissolve or wemove it, but there’s a huge chance she won’t ever wake up again. And since it’s affects awe manageable she dusn’t weally fink ‘bout it much. By manageable we mean calendars, notes, schedules, purrin’, massagin’ kitties, and migwaine medicine. The good news is dat it hasn’t moved or grown in all these years so it’s purretty stable. There is always a pawssibility dat it kuld bweak loose. Ifin dat was to happen…mommy wuld dwop dead instantly. Now mommy’s fur sure in no hurry to die or leave us, but she duz say dat she’s weady to meet hers Maker ifin and when da time comes. After all it wuld be immediate, and pain furee. Dat’s sumfin’ to be fankful fur. Now weez in no way mean this to be a sad and somber posty. As you know we don’t live dwellin’ on these fings. We just ‘cided it wuld be easier to tell everypawdy at once stead of twyin’ to write it a bunch of times to tell yous individually. And lots of you dat asked awe on blogger and don’t know when weez weply to yous comment anyways.

We give fanks everyday dat we have anudder day togevver. And we feel extwemely blest to be here and to have met all of you. Seems this past year has flown by so fast and it’ll be over afur yous know it. But what a blessin’ this year has been. We’ve met in purrson so many more of our wunnewful innewnet furmily and it’s been furbulous!!! We do hope to be able to attend BlogPaws this next year so we can meet and weconnect wiff all of you. Only time will tell, and weez purrayin’ it happens fur sure. Weez also sendin’ out purrayers to all our furiends, and extwas fur those in need. It’s time fur anudder Blest Sunday posty. We do so luv our Blest Sunday posties. You know weez blest each and every day, but we chose Sunday to talk ‘bout it cuz it’s also da day set aside when peeps gather togevver and worship God. A little known fact is dat mommy be a ordained minister. One of our furiends sed dat our Sunday posties made a lot more sense when she found dat out. So weez fawt weez wuld fwo it out there in case anypawdy else was wunnewin’. Anyways, as me sed weez be blest every day but this past week had us getting’ a few extwa blessins. When we got da puter and stawrted checkin’ fings out online we joined a cat gwoup full of pawsum peeps. We made so many wunnewful furiends and even when da website closed we kept in touch.

All those pawsum furiends became furmily or as we like to call them, awnties and unkles. Then weez stawrted sis Lexi’s facebook page and met lots of new wunnewful furiends. Yep yous know it, they became awnties and unkles too. Here we awe today in Blogville and our furmily just keeps wight on gwowin’. Once our little furmily was mommy, sis Lexi and me. Now…we can’t even count how many furmily members weez have. We awe so humbled and blest by da outpurrin’ of luv weez have weceived and like to take Sunday’s to tell you all how much we luv and purreciate y’all. We never fawt it wuld be pawssible to actually meet any of our wunnewful extended furmily fur to face, but dat didn’t matter, we luvv you all just da same.

And then da day came when we actually met one of our pawsum awnties live and in purrson wight here in our pawrtment. OMC Weez just kuldn’t believe it was weally happenin’. Now you all know hers as awnty anonymous cuz she’s innewnet shy, but she’s weal as weal can be. And then there’s awnty Ann what bwought us da Liberty Twee Cat Tree Steve fwum Fandango Cat Furniture donated to us. And then came BlogPaws where we met so many of our wunnerful Blogville furmily. Meeeeow what was once a mere dweam was weally happenin’. And of course while we was there, we got to spend a little time wiff awnty Mary who lived in Nashville. Awnty Mary followed sis Lexi’s facebook page fwum almost da beginnin’. We was da furst kitty peeps hers ever talked to online and there we was 2 years later meetin’ in da fur to face.

As you all know mommy be tech challenged. We have an awnty what’s posed to live in Austin, but she’s been away teachin’ English in Slovakia. Slovakia, can yous believe it? She’s been twyin’ fur years to get us to chat wiff hers on Skype, but mommy just can’t seem to figger da silly fing out. So when we got da message dat she was gunna be back in da states and wanted to meet up wiff us, we was all kinds of ‘cited. And we fawt maybe she kuld teach mommy how to use da Skype so dat when she left again we kuld talk to her this time. So da awwangements was all planned out and we waited wather impatiently patiently to finally meet up wiff awnty Lizbeth. Hers name is actually Elizabeth but sissy and me call hers awnty Lizbeth. So on Tuesday when she called to say she was on hers way, our hearts stawrted racin in anticipation. When she awwived she had bwought a furiend wiff her, so we ended up wiff 2 awnties stead of one. MOL Awnty Sonia be a burd purrson, but dat’s okay weez not mind.

Awnty Lizbeth bwought us sum tweats and sum Sheba noms, and a whole lot of plastic bags fur mommy to use fur twash bags. We was all ‘cited over our gifts. And twuly blest to be meetin’ wiff her fur to face. Even flat scout Sammy P got in on da foto action cuz he awwived on Monday. After a way too short visit awnties Lizbeth and Sonia took mommy out to eat. Mommy finally had sumwhere nice to wear one of da pawsum new outfits dat awnty Jennifer and gwand awnty Peggy sent her. Mommy so enjoyed da meal and da conversation. Many Fanks awnty Lizbeth fur all da goodies and fur bein’ so nice to mommy and takin’ hers fur a gweat meal. She left to go back to Slovakia later in da week but purromised to weturn fur anudder visit when she comes back home. Just so yous know awnty Lizbeth, weez can’t wait fur a longer visit next time!!! We awe so blest to have so many wunnewful peeps in our lives.

And as you all know, sis Lexi wasn’t eatin’ last Furiday again. She wanted too and was fur sure hungwy, but it was like she “kuldn’t” eat. Mommy was so upset and worried. But a lot of purrayers and a few pepcid later and…sissy be eatin’ again. WooHoo!!!!!!!!! We awe so extwemely blest!!! We don’t even have da words to expwess our gwatitude. And weez wanna fank unkle Terry fur donatin’ to sis Lexi’s care. Da fundaraiser’s still active ifin you wuld like to donate. It’s Blest Sunday, and weez not da only ones feelin’ blest today. So is our neighbor cat Buddy. Why yous ask? Well yous all know what mommy found when hers took care of Buddy dat last week and yous all know dat mommy wasn’t gunna let it go wiffout havin’ words wiff Mr. W. So when hims got home mommy laid into him but good. We kuld almost hear her yellin’ back down at our pawrtment. Mr. W dusn’t unnewstand anyfin’ but yellin’. HIms a gwuff old twuck dwiver dat finks only of hims selff. Now bein’ a twuck dwiver didn’t make hims selfish, but it did teach hims how to eat cwap outta cwap so hims finks nuffin’ of feedin’ Buddy da same way.

Mommy was there fur Buddy, so we didn’t tell ya’ ‘bout da hooman mess she found. So a lot of ya’ fawt we shuld tell him fings like hims wuldn’t wanna dwink outta a dirty glass, etc. But dat’s da fing. Hims duz all da time and finks nuffin’ ‘bout it. When mommy went up da furst day, there was a new tub of mawgarine open on da counter wiff gnats all stuck in it. There was a pan on da stove wiff gwease and a burned sausaage. And da dishes on da “dwyin’ towel” what was posed to be clean had dwied foods still left on ‘em. Now fur yous sake and ours weez won’t leave da kitchen in our tellin’ ’bout hims. But hims was plannin’ on bein’ gone 4 days. And when he got home da mawgarine was gunna be used on those still dirty dishes, and who knows ’bout da sausage. But we can tell ya’ dat da skillet wasn’t gunna get washed afur bein’ used again.

 

Anyways, mommy had hers talk wiff Mr. W and hims huffed wound fur a few days. And then finally on Furiday hims stwolled up to da door and asked mommy ifin hims took her to da pet store and gave hers gween papers wuld she buy what hims needed fur Buddy. Hims has purrlenty of gween papers to take care of Buddy purropurr hims just dusn’t like to spend ‘em on anypawdy but hims selff. So mommy sed, “Sure, but only if you don’t complain about the cost and you buy what I tell ya’.” Hims agweed so yesfurday they went to da city to da pet store and Buddy got sum new clean fings. Mommy will have to yell at Mr. W purretty wegular or those new clean fings will be ruined and lookin’ like da old stuffs in no time, but fur da moment, Buddy be a blest kitty boy.

We awe blest too. Weez have a mommy dat duz take good care of us. And weez have all of you dat help hers when we need sumfin’ she can’t affurd.
