Blest Sunday: God Bless Our Veteran’s

MeOW Raena, where are you? It’s time fur our Blest Sunday posty.

          I’s comin’ sissy. I’s just had to help mommy with one last thing fur our posty today.

As always, we’re a day late and a dollar short, but that’s okay. Mommy says, every day is the purrfect day to say a meowsy big Fank you to all those who serve and have served our Country, and to their furmilies. We all want Peace. We purray fur Peace. But, the truth is, Peace only comes after war. And to those brave men and women, anipals and their furmilies who sacrifice(d) so much to ensure our safety and our Freedoms, we salute you. The very Freedoms they fight to purrtect are offen withheld from them.

          That’s so right sissy. Some of our soldiers are away in lands where they’re not allowed to openly purratice their Christian faith, or read a Bible, or purray out loud. Women have to cover up from head to toe and fear bein’ raped or worse. Not that it’s any better fur the men. Yet, these soldiers willingly put their lives on the line each and every day so that you and we can sleep safely in our beds at night. So that we can choose to worship or not. So that we can speak our minds and peacefully debate the issues impacting our Country. Those rights are sacred, God given, and ensured by our fore fathers in the Constitution of the USA. Purrlease, don’t let all the blood that was shed, all the lives that were lost or furever changed, be fur nuffin’. Make your voice and theirs be heard.

That’s great Raena. Fur those of us here at home, we can fight to keep our Freedoms by voting and letting our leaders know what we want. We live in the greatest Country in the world and are so Blest to have so many brave men and women doin’ what they can to keep us great. As far as we’re concerned, your sacrifice and service is/was not in vain. We purray daily, Lord, bless our soldiers and keep them safe and bring them home.

          We are Blest, sissy. We’re not sure why the Happy exists, so we’ll just say, Fanky fank you to all the Veteran’s and their furmilies. We send loud rumblin’ purrs to all of you. And fanky fank you to all our furiends. We don’t always agree, but we always come together to luvs and suppurt each other.

Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. And it’s Furiday!!! I’s don’t know why we’re so x’cited ‘bout that, but we are. To me, it just seems like any other day.

          Fur us Raena, it is like any other day. But humans have been celebratin’ the arrival of Furiday fur a long time. It used to mean the weekend was here and peeps didn’t have to work fur a couple of days. Now we live in a 24/7 world so peeps might be off work in the middle of the week ‘stead of the weekend. Still, we get x’cited fur Furiday.

 

Oh, okay. Whatever. Hey, did you hear mommy say that Ms. A was comin’ over today?

          Yeah Raena, me did. When we made me’s hat fur summer camp, we broke the needle on the sewin’ machine. Seems mommy can’t hardly see it to replace it, so Ms. A’s gonna come help her. Mommy hand’t been that worried ‘bout it since we don’t actually have any material fur her to sew. But, when she was over there takin’ somethin’ to Nubs, they got to talkin’ ‘bout sewin’ and, well, the rest as they say is history. Me’s just happy to see mr. Sunshine again.

Oooooh Me too, sissy. Me too. It had been so yucky and drab lookin’ fur ever. I’s thought mr. Sunshine packed up his bags like ms. Fall. I’s was thinkin’ old man Winter must be really inhospitable.

 

          Well Raena, you can keep right on thinkin’ that, cuz he is. Me can’t believe you can’t ‘member last winter?. You weren’t that young.

 

Maybe I’s have mommy’s furgetful disease, sissy.

 

          Oh Purrlease Raena. That ain’t no disease, that’s old age. And, well, purroblems left over from her accident. Me thinks your purroblem has more to do with your care furee catitude. You don’t care ‘bout anythin’ so long as you can lay in mommy’s lap. You’re such a lap hog.

I’s luvs mommy sissy and I’s luvs layin’ in her lap. It’s the bestest seat in the house. (Feeling that Dezi may want to sit in mommy’s lap, Raena jumps up first and makes herself comfortable)

 

 

          Me knows Raena. And me would like to sit in it ever once in a while too. You know, mommy’s lap belonged to me furst. And, it iiiiis me’s birthday month, ya’ know.

          (Dezi paws at mommy’s leg from the floor and whaps Raena who’s bathing and oblivious to Dezi’s plight) C’mon Raena, it’s me’s birthday month and that means me gets more special luvvin’ this whole month. More specials than you even. Now Meow-ve!!!

(Raena jumps to the back of the chair and looks down at Dezi who mommy has picked up and put in her lap) Okay sissy, it can be your turn now. You know I’s luvs you too. How ‘bout we play later. Maybe, I’s’ll even let mommy take you fur a stroll furst ifin mr. Sunshine sticks ‘round.

Hey, some of ya’ asked ’bout that cutesy tunnel toy with the track I’s was playin’ with in our last posty. We got it at Wally World the day I’s had to get mine’s rabies shot. It had been returned cuz pawrt of it was broken, so they had it on clearance fur $2.00. Mommy was able to add some tape and poke a few extra holes in the tunnel to make it work fur us. We don’t ‘member what it was called, nor do we know how much it actually costs.

Chatting Cats: Where Did All This Cold Come From

Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. I’s can’t believe the week we’re havin’. And OMC It turned cold, cold, cold here over night.

          Raena, ya’ need to s’plain what happened on Monday. You know, with our Service Cat Monday posty?.

What’s that sissy? Why me? Ya’ make it sound like it was mine’s fault. I’s didn’t do anythin’ wrong. I’s didn’t make the innernets be sketchy, or the storms to roll thru, or all the letters and calls that came fur mommy with upsettin’ mews. And I’s fur sure didn’t schedule mommy’s doctors ‘pointment to be right in the middle of it all.

          Me never meowed it was your fault Raena, me just meant that you should let everypawdy know that we’re okay and sorry we missed Service Cat Monday. But, never fear, we’ll be back on schedule next week. Well, lessen the innernet’s ghosties appear again.

(Raena looks around a bit confused) Somehow, I’s still think that’s not nice. But fur now, I’s’ll let it go. I’s gotta tell ya’ sissy, I’s not really likin’ all this cold weather we’re havin’. Mr. Sunshine hasn’t been out fur days. I’s thought it was Fall? Ya’ know cooler days fur strollin’? But Nooooooo, we went from Summer to Winter overnight. Altho’, I’s do like the appearance of the ‘lectric blanky. Snugglin’ with mommy the last couple of nights has been really toasty. Well, once you quit meowmblin’ that is. What’s up with that anyways.

          What? You kept jumpin’ on me. Mommy told you it was late and time to go to bed. You know play time’s over when mommy takes us to bed. We’ve done the same thing every night since you came to live here. 

 

Maybe I’s wasn’t ready to go to bed, sissy. Maybe, I’s wasn’t sleepy yet. Maybe the colds have given me more energy. Maybe, you just looked to temptin’ not to jump on.

 

          Well, temptin’ or not, sleepy or not, you know the rules. You know mommy can’t sleep without us layin’ beside her. And besides, that ‘lectric blanky sure makes fur nice cuddlin’. As fur all that energy, me’s kind’a feelin’ it too. But me did hope fur a few more days of strollin’ weather befur it got so cold.

I’s purromiss I’s’ll do better tonight sissy. Meowin’ of sleepin’ and ‘lectric blankies, I’s thinkin’ a little nap just might be what the doctor ordered as mommy would say.

 

          That does sound like a good idea Raena. (Dezi sees the manager coming up the walk) HiSSSssssssss  Me’s thinkin’ we oughtta go nap right now Raena. Looks like more bad mews is on it’s way to the door now.

Blest Sunday: Blessings Love and Peace

MeOW Raena, c’mon, it’s time to write our Blest Sunday posty. You know we have lots of blessings to meow ‘bout this week.

          I’s sure do, sissy. I’s started off this past week not feelin’ so good. I’s sure was a hungry kitty girl, but I’s just couldn’t keep any of mine’s foods down. That’s a purretty miserable place to be. ‘Specially when I’s already needed to gain a few pounds. I’s quickly lost those 2 pounds I’s had gained and then some. Mommy’s eyes were so filled with tears, she could barely see. But, fanky fankfully, our furiends started purrayin’ and God showed up and calmed mine’s tummy. I’s ate 3 helpings last night and asked fur a few treats. Mommy’s eyes were still filled with tears, but, she said those ones were the joybell tears. I’s’ll never unnerstand the difference t’ween human tears; but, I’s really glad that mommy’s happy now. I’s still have a tad of the wheezy sneezies, but it seems I’s back to eatin’ like a champ again.

That you are Raena, that you are. Me’s glad you’re feelin’ better too. Trust me, you’ll never figger out those human tear things, so don’t even try. We don’t know why you had such a bad tummy upset Raena, but mommy thinks those wheezy sneezies just might be allergies. She’s wonderin’ ifin that might be the purroblem with your eyes too. They got all better after you got those eye drops, till the last couple of days durin’ your sicks.

          I’s thinkin’ mommy might be right, sissy. I’s heard mommy sayin’ that we might have to take a trip to the V E T as soon as we can. And, fanky fanks to uncle Pete, Timmy and furmily fur sendin’ some green papers to help with mine’s medical, that day might be sooner than later. Mommy’s just tryin’ to decide ifin she wants to put those green papers towards our bill so we can pay it off faster, or just see a new V E T. Decisions, decisions. I’s sure glad we don’t have to worry ‘bout those kinds of things sissy.

Me too Raena. We’ve got enuff to think ‘bout what with where to sleep, nap and what toy to play with. Anyways, as most everypawdy knows, we don’t blog on Caturdays anymore. And cuz of that, we missed the big Blog Fur Peace day. But, truth is, we think ‘bout and purray fur peace every day. We just don’t unnerstand why peeps would wanna kill each other over somethin’ as small as a disagreement. Ifin everypawdy thought the same way, what kind’a world would this be? Obviously, we luv God and believe He’s the one and only true God. And, we wish everypawdy believed it too. After all, we want all our furiends to be saved from their sins and spend eternity with us in heaven. But, we know that just isn’t gonna happen. None the less, we respect your right to believe somethin’ different without hatin’ ya’ and fur sure without killin’ ya’.

     True sissy. We luvs all our furiends so much and don’t want anythin’ bad to happen to any of you. We purray that God would bless each of you and your families. And, that He would send healing to those that are sick, comfurt to those in turmoil and purrvision to all. We purray fur peace on earth and good will to all. Fanky fank ya’ fur bein’ our furiends and luvvin’ us even when we disagree. Diversity makes fur innerestin’ conversations and causes us all to strive to be better than we are.

Sometimes you can be really smart Raena. We really do ‘purreciate all of you fur your differences and the things we have in common. We fank you all fur your purrayers and suppurrt and ask that you continue to keep Raena in your purrayers. We wouldn’t be the least offended ifin ya’ said one fur mommy and me too. As always, we wanna remind you to take a minute today and every day to give thanks fur the blessings in your lives.
