We’re Feeling Blest

Well what a weekend. We missed our Blest Sunday posty mostly cuz of mommy’s finger issue which is getting’ lots better. She was finally able to file da jagged skin so it dusn’t get caught on things and hurt more. Another reason we didn’t post was cuz we’re workin’ on sumfin’ special fur Christmas and didn’t wanna overdo this week.

We also got a kupple more packages in da mail from meez fellow Cat Scouts. They are such a pawsum gwoup of cats and peeps. Ifin you have been wantin’ to join and just haven’t yet, what are you waitin’ fur? It’s a gweat place to gather wiff other cats and cat pawrents fur fun, adventure and learning. We got a package from awnty Ellen, Sammy P and da kitties of 15 and meowing dat mommy wuldn’t let us see just yet and it included sumfin’ fur mommy. Fank you soooooo much fur includin’ us in yous holiday givin’.

And then mommy opened a big ole box from Cat and awnty Lisa. Me kept twyin’ to check out da contents in dat box, but mommy sed it was fur Christmas. And they included a gift bag full of fings fur mommy. Fank you bunches and bunches and bunches. Cat and awnty Lisa have done a lot fur sis Lexi durin’ da year and now they’re sharin’ their Christmas wiff us. Mommy sez you hit a home run and dat weez gunna luv everythin’.

So needless to say, tween these packages and da ones we got earlier in da week, mommy had da leaky eyes big time. They was da happy kind but salty tears none da less. And just when we fawt mommy was all cried out, another of meez fellow scouts sent us a email and sed they had sent us a little sumfin’ sumfin’ dat shuld be here today. We are so Blest!!!

You know times are tuff all over and this year has been a real strain fur us with both sissy and me needin’ da extra VET care and special type noms so we really weren’t spectin’ to have a Christmas with purresents. Sum of you already know dat afur we got into social media, mommy wuld take da lesser played wiff toys from our toy box and put them in our stockings fur Christmas and she wuld buy a can of special noms fur us to eat. Because we recently changed foods and da new ones are so spensive, there wasn’t gunna be a special can of noms this year. But you know what? We feel so blest to have each other and all of you. And after all isn’t luv what it’s all about? Let me tell ya’, in dat department we are overflowin’. And now meez furiends have purrvided da purresents. We al have da leaky eyes round here. We are so gwateful to have so many pawsum furiends.

Furiends and family of da innernet, Y’all are amazin’, pawsum, wunnerful and purrfect. Purrfectly luvved by us. You give us a gift every time you read our postys, comment and share. We are purrayin’ your week is full of joy and luv. We know a lot of you are really busy this week with last minute purrepurrations and company. But we hope you’ll take a minute to remember why we’re celebratin’ and give thanks fur all da blessings in your lives. We know we’re thankin’ God fur each and every one of you. And we can’t wait to see what you all get from your secret Santa’s. We can’t afford to purrticipate in da givin’ department, but we so look furward to purrticipatin’ in da joy of seein’ what y’all get. Meez gotta go now, mommy sez there’s sum treats we gotta try fur our last review of da year 2015.

The Poor Relations

Oh weekend weez so glad you’re here. Meowllo everypawdy how’re ya’ doin’? You all know we be da poor relatives right? It’s okay, we know it. You know mommy qualifies fur one of those cheap cell fones. Yeah dat’s right, they be free all across da country ‘cept here in one of da poorest states in da Union. Here they cost money. Anyways, they don’t get a signal at our house so mommy’s just always kept her old prepaid fone. It dusn’t get a signal at da house eever, and it ain’t smart by no stretch of da magination; but it’s cheaper than da cheap government fones. So anyways this past week mommy had to go pick up her medicine from da farmacy and da cheap cell fone peeps had a tent set up outside da grocery store. Mommy decided to go on over and ask ‘bout da smarty pants fones. Ya’ know what? They had one. Sum android job fur da cheap. So mommy thought she’d take da plunge and smarten up wiff da rest of da world.

A few minutes later and mommy was off wiff her new teeny tiny smarty pants fone. Yep dat’s right, it’s ‘bout 4 inches wiff a 3 inch screen and a keypad smaller than mommy’s pinky. Sissy and me fur sure won’t be usin’ this fone, but dat’s okay, it don’t get service anywhere but da grocery store…5 miles away. MOL   So mommy tried to connect to da innernet but when she typed in meez blog address da auto correct kept changin’ it. Course mommy’s not as smart as da fone so it took 10 tries and 45 minutes fur her to figger out what was happenin’. We still haven’t found da auto correct button to turn it off, cuz mommy had another little accident in da meantime and now has a finger twice it’s size. Me knows what you all are finkin’. Mommy got ripped off by sum fly by night. but truth is, our town is just dat small. We don’t have any cell stores within a 100 miles so da companies set up little tents in these small towns like ours and do business. There’s lots of little towns like ours in Oklahoma. And da tent’s there 4-5 days a week, so they be a real business. Course dat doesn’t mean mommy didn’t get ripped off. MOL 

 

Anyways, meez been takin’ it easy on mommy and not askin’ her to type too much cuz she broke a fingernail. Now me knows what you’re thinkin’. BooHoo a broken fingernail, just get over it. Right? Normally me wuld agwee, but this ain’t just any broken fingernail. Mommy has purretty long nails to begin wiff and it bwoke way down in da quick. Me thought she wuld never get it to stop bleedin’. 2 days later it’s finally stopped, lessen she bumps it, gets it wet, or ketches it on sumfin’.  And it ain’t purretty, let me tell ya’. Me kept meowin’ at her to stop typin’ da furst day cuz da blood was everywhere. So weez takin’ it easy fur now and will get back to visitin’ and commentin’ more when mommy’s finger gets better. Maybe in da meantime, she can smarten up da smarty pants fone afur she gets so furustrated she has ‘em turn it off. MOL

In other news, a couple of meez fellow cat scouts sent me and sis Lexi a little sumfin’ sumfin’ fur Christmas. Mommy let me see and smell ‘em but she wuldn’t let me have ‘em. Oh da torture. cuz let me tell ya’ they all smell divine. Thank you sooooooooo much Dora, Tiger, Trouble and Spooky. We can’t wait to open yous gift. And fank yous bunches Timmy, Einstein, Fitz, Buttons, Rumpy, Buddy, Toby and uncle Pete. Me can’t believe mommy took back da toys after lettin’ me smell ‘em. Meez thinkin’ me might need to call Austin and have a NuCat meetin’ over this or sumfin’. Me better wrap it up. poor mommy’s one handed typin’ is fadin’. Y’all enjoy da weekend and member, Christmas is almost here.

Sharing Christmas Thru Song

Meowllo everypawdy and welkum to our Sharing Christmas posty. Have you been wunnerin’ where we was? And now you wanna know just what sharing Christmas means don’t ya’? Well let me answer both those questions at once. As you all know mommy is a little technically challenged and well…she really just doesn’t know what she’s doin’ on da catputer half da time, so this latest purroject really stumped her. Anyways, we finally finished as best we kuld. We had wanted to add photos fur you to look at, but dat just didn’t happen, so just use your imagination, okay?. And be kind, this is our mommy after all and we fink she’s da cat’s meow.

As you know sis Lexi and me are Service cats, which means we purrfurm certain tasks to help mommy live independently. But on occasion we also purrfurm da duties of Therapy cats, meaning we go and visit and bring cheer to those in nursing homes, or educate da public when da oppurrtunity purrsents itself. Every Christmas we like to go to da nursing home and spread a little Christmas cheer and sing carols with da residents. And so on Caturday we loaded up and away we went. We learned last year dat we kuldn’t take photos to post since we’re not kin to any of da residents and they hadn’t signed releases fur social media. Well this year we learned they weren’t considered competent to sign da releases we took. Hmmph, There’s always gotta be a scrooge. But dat’s okay, me talked mommy into playin’ and singin’ a couple songs fur y’all when we got home. Several peeps have expwessed an interest in hearin’ mommy so me fawt this was da purrfect time. Mommy was a bit tired and hoarse, but sis Lexi and me still think she’s pawsum. And we both laid on da nip mats and lissened intently while she recorded da video.

 

We soon learned however dat recordin’ it was da easy part. As me sed, we kuldn’t figger out how to insert fotos stead of da fireplace or just add it to one of our videos. Weez sure there’s a way, we just don’t know it. So like me sed, just magine ‘em in yous head. And again, purrlease be nice, it is our mommy.

Blest Sunday Vrooooooooom

Welkum Sunday, we’ve had so many blessings this week. We have received so many beautiful Christmas cards thru da mail and e-mail. Mommy’s twyin’ to help me make a purretty with them so we can post ‘em all on Christmas Eve. Each one came with da most wunnerful wishes fur da holiday season and da New Year. Weez a little behind ad haven’t got all our Christmas wishes out yet, but will be wrappin’ dat up this week.

Now You all member me tellin’ ya’ ‘bout dat hot rod scratcher mommy finagled fur me? She went back over da email to see what was said and altho’ me can’t use it in da derby at Cat Scouts, me will be postin’ it there purr our purromise to receive it. But meez also gunna be showin’ it to you all today. Mommy finally took off da wrapper and let me have it. OMC it’s sooooo cool. Da racin’ stripes make me feel like a Mario Andretticat.

She’s so ‘cited ‘bout bein’ able to do dat. Me also wants to Thank awnty Sylvie, Cleo, Mika and Patteron. They sent us a little package dat mommy sez is fur Christmas, so we can’t see it or have it yet. And a meowsy big Thank you to awnty Belinda fur donatin’ to sis Lexi’s care fund. Weez both doin’ good right now. We be eatin’ well and playin’ and workin’ and luvvin’ mommy, each other and life and all of you.
