It’s Caturday and weez chillin’ and getting’ sum much needed rest. When sissy got sick last week nopawdy slept. She kuldn’t stay outta da pawdee box and me didn’t know what to fink and well all mommy kuld do was cwy and purray. Not haviin’ gween papers to help sissy was tearin’ at mommys heart. And then came da night when it got weally bad. Sissy was runnin’ to da pawdee box so offen she shulda just stayed there. And then she wuld lay down to “clean” hers ouchy, cuz youz know it hurt, and wuld hold hers leg up a little and nuffin’ but blood wuld seep out. Mommy put piddle pads on da bed and unnew neaff her and she didn’t even move. Mommy was cwyin’ and me was wipin hers tears wiff meez paws and in tween pawdee box visits sis Lexi was still twyin’ to give mommy head massages. And dat wuld make mommy cwy even hawrder. Cuz there sissy was bein ‘bout as sick as a kitty can get, but still twyin’ to work and take care of mommy. Ifin dat ain’t da epitome of a Service animal me dusn’t know what is.
So da next meownin’ fwu a face full of tears and a heart dat was bweakin’ into itty bitty pieces, mommy cweated a YouCaring fundraiser fur Lexi’s care. We owe da VET fur our wecent visits and till they be paid off weez can’t go back. And it had become evident dat hims wasn’t even takin’ our calls cuz nopawdy had ever called us back when mommy called in ‘bout me bein’ so sick after dat rabies vaccine. Yes, da VET is all bout da gween papers and yes, we need a new one, but da sad fing is dat all da VETs in our awea be da same way. And wiffout gween papers to pay them, weez can’t go see anypawdy new eever. So anyways, after mommy made da funraiser she posted it and shared it. Not too long after a few donations came in. Mommy had alweady checked da purrices of antibiotics online so when there was enuff gween papers to cover da cost of them mommy took da chance and called our VETs office. They had all gone home fur da day even tho’ it wasn’t even 5 o’clock. Turns out dat was da bestest fing dat kulda happened fur us. Cuz when mommy called da VETs emergency cell fone, he actually called hers back.
He was quite purrterbed and sed hims was dealin’ wiff a furmily emergency and what did mommy want. She told hims she had hers own emergency and splained what was goin’ on wiff sissy. So he abwutly sed, “I guess you want me to call in some antibiotics, huh?” Mommy weplied in da affurmative and hims chose da most spensive fawmacy wound and then called in da most spensiv antibiotic hims kuld and told them we kuldn’t have da generwic. Mommy be fwugal and wulda purrfured da generic so as to make da gween papers go furver cuz sissy will still have ongoin’ medical due to da CKD, but in this instance there was nuffin’ mommy kuld do ‘bout it and she just wanted Lexi to get sum weal medicine. It had been stowrmin’ like cwasy here fur da last kupple days and it was pourwin’ wain when mommy and me left fur da fawmacy. Weez got to twy out da stwoller raincoat cover and it worked. Mommy was so fwazzled hers didn’t get any fotos, but weez sure weez’ll have to use it again. sumday and hopefully da next time will be unnew better circumstances and mommy will get fotos. Anyways, we got da medicine and headed home. Once home mommy gave sis Lexi hers furst dose.
Not even 30 minutes later she fwu it up. Mommy gave hers anudder dose and fixed us our dinner. Fankfully sissy kept down da next dose and each dose since then. And fankfully she’s on da road to wecoverwy. Ain’t dat wight sissy?
Youz rite Dezi, I’z feelin’ much better now. I’z kant faynk youz awl enuff fur helpin’ mommy to git me sum medzin. I’z kant say dat I’z likez da medzin or how it tayztz, but I’z taykin’ it like a good gerl and feelin’ better ebberday. Fanks sissy. Me showed you, didn’t me? Cuz yep, dat’s me alwight. Stwetched out on da floor and sittin’ in fwunt of da Fandango Liberty cat twee. Me shocked mommy too. So much so she had to take sum fotos. Well today be Blest Sunday and our favowit posty of da week. Ifin yous read our last posty yous know sis Lexi not be duin’ to good. She has a purretty bad UTI and we have no gween papers fur da VET or medicine so mommy be tweatin’ it wiff natuwal purroducts and purrayers. So yous wunnerin’ why we fink weez so Blest? And we wuld answer cuz we know dat God can answer purrayers and so many of you, our wunnewful furiends be purrayin’ fur her too. And not so many days ago me was very sick and yous all purrayed fur me and meez all better now. So we know sis Lexi can get all better too.
And, member we told ya’ Ms. Ellen and Phoebe sent us a package wiff sum white gwass of our very own? Well mommy planted it up fur us and it’s spwouted!!! Me duz like to nibble and lick me sum gwass. Fanks again Ms. Ellen and Phoebe and all da gang at 15 and meowin’. Weez luvvin’ our gwass.

Frum owr furiendz Bugsy, Sparky, Tiger and Blackbeard. Faynk youz awl soz berry much. Ov korz weez lubz it. And I’z say weez cuz youz awl noez I’z sharin’ wiv Dezi jiz like she shayrz wiv me.
Oh sissy do yous member when mommy opened da box? We was boff stuck to her like white on wice waitin’ fur her to get it put togedder so we kuld play. And when she finally put it down and pushed da stawrt button we was 2 happy kitties. Of course mommy wanted to ketch sum fotos and at least 1 video, so she gwabbed da camewa, and…OMC da battewy was dead. So she gwabbed da udder camewa and…OMC Dat battery was dead too. MOL So mommy had to plug in and chawrge boff camewas. Well by da time da camewas was chawrged we was tired out and didn’t wanna play anymore. Ain’t dat da way it always goes? And then you got sick Lexi and mommy put da toy away till you get better So you can enjoy sum play time then. And me dusn’t mind cuz we also have sum pawsum udder toys dat weez’ll be tellin’ yous all ‘bout later this mumff. And guess what? Weez gunna get to have a few gweat toy give aways. We weally can’t wait fur dat. Me even told ‘em me wanted to be a cat tester fur any new toys this company makes. What company yous ask? Me can’t tell ya’ today, yous’ll just have to stay tuned.

Weez’ll be puttin’ dat machine fwu da test. And weez;ll be puttin’ da shwedder fwu it too as she found a lot of old papers dat can be fwown out.

Weez got a gweal blessin’ this week fwum Ms. Ellen and Phoebe. Weez got a package and when mommy saw who it was fwum she asked, “Girls, did y’all win something I didn’t know about?” Weez told hers no, cuz we haven’t won anyfin’ in a while. Well we have, but she knew ’bout dat. So mommy opened up da package and OMC Fank you. Mommy got sum of those pawsum made wiff luv dwyer balls. And let me tell ya’, mommy fwu ‘em in da dwyer this weekend, and they awe so much quieter than those nobby hawd plastic ones. And a side bonus is dat all da fur fwum da clothes and sheets gets twapped on ‘em and easily disposed of. We, Lexi and me got a pawsum straw each and Ms. Ellen and bootyful Phoebe included an extwa made wiff luv yawrn ball fur us. And weez can show our 4ff of July purride wiff our toof pick flags. And…OMC Sum of dat white gwass of our very own!!! Mommy planted it up fur us this weekend and we can’t wait till it spwouts so we can commence to nibblin’. We all luvved our package, fanks so much fur sendin’ it too us.
And member when we got home fwum da VET da udder day and had boxes waitin’ fur us? Well let me tell ya’, what a big ole blessin’ dat was. A kupple of them boxes sed Chewy wight there on ‘em. So you know they had to be good. Da boxes themselves awe pawsum. But inside was da biggest bag of Swheatscoop they make. WooHoo Fank you awnty Ann and da Highcats. Weez weally purreciate da big ole bag o’ litter and da noms. There was also a case of da EVO 95% meat noms and a case of Canidae noms. Kittens, how blest can these 2 girly’s be?. There was a furd box, but weez’ll be fillin’ ya’ in on dat pawsumness in July. And believe me, yous don’t wanna miss it.

Well a Blest Sunday to you all. And based on yous comments, nun of ya’ be tired of hearin’ ‘bout BlogPaws, so weez gunna tell ya’ more today. After all, attendin’ was a huge blessin’ fur us and weez still reapin’ da rewards of dat blessin’. We need to stawrt a week afur we left tho’ so you unnewstand it all. Sis Lexi hadn’t been duin’ very good at all. She wuldn’t eat again, at least food. She ate her teaspoon of ham baby food dat mommy mixed hers meds in, but she wuldn’t eat anyfin’ else in da house. And twust me mommy was twyin’. She was dwinkin’ a lot and a little lethargic. She had long since quit playin’ wiff da cat twee which mommy was weally sad ‘bout. See sissy had always luvved to jump and climb and be high up too. And of course mommy had wanted a twee fur years afur we got one cuz she knew sissy wuld just luv it, so it weally hurt mommy to see sissy not getting’ to enjoy da cat twees we had been given.

We didn’t wanna tell you all how bad it ws cuz mommy didn’t wanna be judged and called bad fings. See sumtimes when we be in da spotlight peeps fink they have da right to tell us how we oughtta do fings and ifin weez not do what they fink is wight then they can be weally mean. And mommy felt bad enuff. But she just knew ifin she kuld get Lexi on this twip fings wuld turn wound fur her. Nopawdy knows us like our mommy, and mommy knows dat sissy luvs to twavel and stay in motels. (They used to twavel sum when sissy was yunger.) Mommy sez ifin she kuld afford it we wuld stay in a motel one weekend a mumff cuz it duz her so much good. Anyways, da day came fur us to leave. It was mommys birffday so we was hangin’ out wiff mommy watchin’ her pack up. Then it came time to load us up. Since we live so faw fwum everyfin’ mommy combines twips, so da only place we been goin’ lately (or so it seemed) was da VET. And we wanted no pawrt of dat.
I didn’t wanna be in da stroller wiv Dezi and she didn’t want me there eeber. Yep weez purretty spoiled.
So when mommy stawted puttin’ us in da stwoller we stawrted actin’ out and hissin’. We didn’t wanna be anywhere near each udder. Usually we twavel weally well in da stwoller togedder, but not this time. So mommy had to get da udder carrier outta da closet. So we finally got loaded up and we was off. And altho’ weez not usually sing in da car, we was tellin’ mommy all ‘bout why we didn’t wanna go to da VET. Mommy kept tellin’ us we wasn’t but we wasn’t so sure we oughtta believe her. Course it’s a lot of twubble to holler constantly so we didn’t sing fur too long, and as we told ya’ yesfurday, we ran into funnerstowms and dat shut us up purretty quick. By da time we got to our furst stop we knew da VET wasn’t in line fur this twip but we wasn’t fur sure what was actually goin’ on. So da day we arrived, we got checked into our hotel room and got our bags put in da room and we went back downstairs to check in. Dat’s when we got this pawsum “swag bag” and mommy got a t-shirt. Lexi and me was checkin’ it all out fwum inside da stwoller. And we saw this giant doggy wiff pink and purrple fur. OMC da fings hoomans do to us. It ain’t wight, it just ain’t wight. Anyways, after getting’ this pawsum swag bag we ran into sum furiends and visited a few minutes afur adjoirnin’ to da exhibit hall/room.
There were tables side by side all over dat big room. So many in fact dat mommy didn’t weally know where to stawt. And so she just stawted at da furst table she came too. Mommy was pushin’ us along and there were so many peeps everywhere there was barely any room fur us. Every once in a while sumpawdy wuld ask mommy ifin we was doggies and then look in and tell us how cute we was. Mommy opened da stwoller a few times so peeps kuld pet us, and pawently so da doggies kuld sniff and bawk at us. Fur da most pawrt most of da animals there were very well behaved, but there was a few dat weally needed to go back to school, and so did their hoomans.

There was even a big enclosure wiff fake munny dat mommy got in. See mommy stepped in and they closed da door and turned on a fan. Mommy was posed to gather as much of dat paper munny as she kuld as fast as she kuld. OMC Yous shulda seen how cwazy mommy looked twyin’ to gwab paper mummy. Mommy wuld have fweaked out ifin sumpawdy had of taken a foto of her, so no…there’s no fotos. At da time da camera’s were still packed away anyways and needed rechawign’. Weez not have extwa batteries and weez use da cameras a lot so da batteries not hold a chawge fur very long anymore. Not complainin’ here, just statin’ why we don’t have fotos of everyfin’. Altho’ as me stated, there wasn’t gunna be any fotos of mommy lookin’ cwazy. MOL Mommy caught sumfin’ like almost $400.00, but she wasn’t even close to da highest catcher who was at $1000.00. To be honest, weez not even member what da purrize was. MOL
What’cha duin’ on da balcony wiffout me mommy?
Anyways after dat bit of fun, we went on to da next table and da next. And dat’s where we ran into da Tiki Cat and Weruva peeps. They make foods dat be low in phosphorous and good fur sissy to eat wiff hers kidney purroblem. They gave us sum sample packets and talked wiff mommy fur a while and finally it was time fur da exhibitors to shut down. At da end of da evenin’ mommy took us up to da room and got us unpacked and settled in. And then mommy got out one of those packets of noms and offered it to Lexi. She came flyin’ off da bed and stawrted chowin’ down like she was stawrvin’. She finished off one packet and asked fur anudder which mommy was glad to give her. Just as mommy suspected, da twip was stawrtin’ to pep sis Lexi up. Later…well me just wealized how long this posty alweady is, so me will tell ya’ more later. We awe so extremely blest to have such pawsum furiends here in da world of da innewnet. Take a few moments to count yous blessings today and everyday. When you stawt yous day wiff gwatitude it’s just better all da way wound.
