Blest Sunday: It’s Finally Here

(Dezi looks up from her breakfast and yawns. She looks around and sees Raena and mommy A yawning too. Mommy A takes a sip of her hot steamy coffee and Raena begins to cover her breakfast with the imaginary “dirt”, toys, tissue paper and anything else close by before heading to the cat tree for a bath and some bird t.v.. Dezi takes a few more bites of breakfast before meowing.) Me sure hopes we can get some sleep tonight.

(Raena stretches and meows) Me too sissy. I’s know we stayed up fur a good reason, but I’s sure am tired. You’re so tired you didn’t even run when the thunder clapped outside.

Thunder? Was that thunder? Me thought that was the neighbor again. Ya’ know, she’s been keepin’ her toddler grandson and he keeps escapin’ and comin’ over here to bang on our door or play in mommy’s garden.

I’s don’t know why he’d wanna play in the garden, sissy. Everythin’s dead now. Did you see him push his face against the door tryin’ to peek inside?

Yep Raena, his face was more smashed than yours. Who knew the human face could do that? MOL

Yeah sissy, (Raena shakes her head) fanky fank the cats he didn’t come in. He was puttin’ everythin’ in his mouth. Can you ‘magine how slobbery our toys would’a been?

(Dezi and Raena shudder.) Fank you mommy, fur not openin’ the door. MOL Hey, what did you think ‘bout the surpurrise box mommy got?

Oh MeOW What a box!!!

Oh sissy, I’s luvs it. Mommy was so x’cited. She cried and cried. She said they were the happy tears, and I’s sure they were. She also did a little jumpin’ ‘round. She only does that when she’s happy. That Valentine and awnty Kerry sure were sweet to send mommy a new bag. Somewhere along the way, it got delayed, but when it furinally got here, mommy was thrilled. What most peeps don’t know ‘bout mommy, is that befur her accident when she worked, she had a bag fur every occasion. Ya’ know, they were really nice bags, mommy was a bit of a bag snob she says. I’s don’t think mommy could be snobby ‘bout anythin’, but, she says that’s what peeps call it when you’re a bit purrticular ‘bout somethin’.

Me ‘members some of those bags Raena. Unfurtunately, a few bags got peed in by sick kitties; and some kitty, not me, chewed the straps off one of her bags. Fankfully, we’re good kitties, so mommy’s new bag’s in no danger of bein’ chewed by us. We’ll just have to watch out fur the neighbors grandson. MOL What a blessing mommy got. Fank ya’ll bunches, we all luv the new bag.

We didn’t think our week could get any better, and then the fone rang with some really x’citin’ news. Mommy’s been fallin’ out of the bed and crawlin’ ‘round the house fur over 6 months waitin’ fur our new wheelchair. Ya’ know, uncle Sam doesn’t get in a hurry to do anythin’. But, it’s furinally happened!!! The new wheelchair is furinally here!!!

Oooooh It’s got a nice soft cushion too.

Yep Raena, that’s why we’re all so tired and sleepy. Well, that and the weather. Travis the wheelchair man wanted to come out furst thing in the meownin’ to deliver mommy’s new wheelchair. Since mommy can’t walk in the meownin’s and she can’t reach the door knob from the floor, we had to stay awake all night. Mommy won’t teach us to unlock the door, so we’re no help. We think the neighbor thought she was getting’ one too, cuz she’s been bangin’ on the walls at all hours of the day and night fur the last couple of days. And then, the weather went from below zero one day to the low 70’s the next. Now, ifin that don’t throw ya’ into a tailspin, me doesn’t know what will.

It’s soft alright sissy. I’s luvs it.

That’s all true sissy. But we sure are happy to have a wheelchair again. We’ll be meowin’ more ‘bout it in our Service Cat posty’s startin’ in February. Believe it or not, we got a ton of questions ‘bout addin’ a new powerchair when the last one broke. In the meantime, we’re just feelin’ really blest that mommy doesn’t have to crawl ‘round in the meownin’ any more. WooHoo

Fur sure Raena. We’ve had another week of outta this world blessings. And, another week with the mostest pawsumest furiends in the universe. Fank you all fur bein’ a pawrt of our lives. We luv ya’ll sooooooooooo much. We wanna remind you to take a minute today and every day to give thanks fur the blessings in your lives.

Chatting Cats: Changes Are Coming

Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. We’ve got some big changes comin’. Bet’cha ya’ll didn’t even notice, but mommy’s been workin’ hard to simplify our Service Cat posty’s and make ‘em easier to find fur peeps visitin’ us, even ifin it’s their furst time. Did you know we added lots of new furiends/family last year? Sure ‘nuff, we gained lots of new followers here and we’re so fanky fankful fur all of you. Ya’ know, we meow, you’re only a visitor once. After that, you’re family.

RaenaBelle, slow down. Have you already been in the nip today?

Nip? Nope I’s not sniffed any nip today, sissy. Least not yet. Ya’ know, I’s could go fur some of that vine awnty Vonda sent us fur Christmas tho’. I’s just happy. Happy and cold that is. Mommy says us kitties can get really active the colder it gets. And, it sure is cold here today. The weather guessers said we’ve got wind chills at 15° below zero. And ifin ya’ don’t even take that into account, it’s only 12° as it is.

That’s outside silly.

I’s know, sissy, but mommy ain’t cranked up the heat inside much either. But, I’s don’t think her purrsonal summer’s are occurin’ nearly as much as they used to. Even she’s been wrappin’ up in a blanky lately.

Yeah Raena, but don’t those blankys make her lap even more comfy?

They sure do sissy. I’s just luvs layin’ in mommy’s lap. Anyways, I’s was lettin’ everypawdy know that we’ve added to our menu. Now when ya’ need to refur back to one of our Trainin’ posty’s, ya’ won’t have to find the last post we wrote fur the linkys, you can just click on the Trainin’ Tips link from our menu and find every Educational or Trainin’ post we’ve written. We’ll also be includin’ things like Feline Nutrition, and other educational type stuffs there. And, mommy even thought it would be a good idea to put a Contact us form right there on the page so peeps could submit their questions or blog topics they’d like to see.

You’re right Raena, that is somethin’ to get x’cited ‘bout. Adding all those links to every posty was getting’ a bit tiresome. We’re not done yet tho’, mommy’s gonna be addin’ descriptions to those linkys along with specific tags. So, ifin you’re lookin’ fur how to set up a Decompression room say, you’ll be able to find it really easy without havin’ to re-read every posty. Me thinks it really is gonna be helpful fur everypawdy.

Me too sissy. I’s can’t wait to start postin’ our Service Cat postys again. I’s also wanted to mention that we’ve got a few requests fur mommy to add some more songs. Our Christmas Carols posty was well received, but several peeps wanna hear mommy singin’ some Patsy Cline and other Country songs. We even got a request from awnty Petal fur mommy to sing Amazing Grace. That happens to be one of our faves, so we’ve got mommy workin’ hard on recordin’ some more songs. We don’t really have the right equipment fur all this, so it is takin’ a little time. But, ifin ya’ wanna follow our SoundCloud channel, you’ll be among the furst to know when mommy adds new songs. Our camera’s battery doesn’t hold a charge long enuff to make videos. The battery fur our Canon camera went bye bye over a year ago, and now the one fur our Nikon is just ‘bout charged out. Ya’ know, those batteries aren’t meant to last furever, and with as many fotos as mommy takes, they need chargin’ offen.

Yeah Raena, we’re workin’ on gettin’ new batteries, but like everythin’ else, they cost money, we just don’t have any to spare right now. Anyways, we need to wrap it up Raena. Me’s gonna go lay in front of the fireplace and have a little nap.

Chatting Cats: New Year, Same Old Same Old

Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. What a week we’ve had so far. I’s don’t like these below 0° days and nights. Let me tell ya’, we’re all feelin’ yucky here. Mommy can barely move. She’s all hunched over like that big ole wisteria bush outside. And sis Dezi had a bout of the sneezy wheezies and horkin’ everywhere. Me? Yep, mines eyes are all gunky and mommy’s had to clean mine’s bloomers more than once in the last couple of days. Hmmmmpht I’s don’t like bloomer cleanin’. No dirty bloomer fotos. Mommy says not even she wants to see that. I’s a big girly and not s’posed to need such things.

RaenaBelle, what are you meowin’ on about now? Trust me, ya’ never outgrow bloomer cleanin’ ‘round here. Mommy always says she ain’t kissin’ a mouth that’s been cleanin’ such things that get stuck on our bloomer furs. Furankly, me would much rather have mommy clean it up than me. Yuck!!! Anyways, ya’ know we’ve been meowin’ with mommy ‘bout our postin’ schedule since she’s gonna have that new standin’ ‘pointment on Mondays. We’ve also been thinkin’ maybe mommy can do a few more postys/reviews this year. We think sometimes companies furget we kitties have humans.

Maybe sissy, but I’s hope mommy gets somethin’ more fun than the product she’s tryin’ out now. As fur our new postin’ schedule, seems we’ll be postin’ Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Furidays and Sundays. Blest Sunday has been a pawrt of Deziz World since almost the beginnin’, and we luv meowin’ ‘bout our blessings. So Blest Sunday’s ain’t goin’ anywhere.

We do luv our blessings Raena. Our Service Cat postys will return in February, so get your questions and desired topics in now. We’re also workin’ hard on figgerin’ out a way to go to BlogPaws. It’s so close, we just hate to miss it. We have a ticket, we just need to get the green papers fur the room and transpurrtaion. Anyways, we know 2018 is gonna be full of fun and we can’t wait to share it with all of you.

And, meowin’ of all of you, we’re really behind in our visitin’ cuz of mommy tryin’ to get green papers and bein’ sick. But, we’re slowly tryin’ to get caught up. So, we’ll be by to visit with ya’ as soon as we can.

Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. Sissy, c’mon, the world’s stopped spinnin’ and we can load our site again.

Are you sure? Me’s so tired of waitin’ fur the pages to load. Mommy says it’s cuz we live so far out and the innernet peeps haven’t upgraded the wirin’ ‘round here in like, furEVER.

This box is huge, mommy.

I’s sure sissy. I’s already checked. What did you think ‘bout that big box we got delivered yesfurday?

The box is great Raena. It’s what was in the box that me’s not so sure ‘bout. Mommy says we have to use it cuz we’re s’posed to write a review.

Yeah sissy, but I’s think it’s ‘bout more than just writin’ a review. Mommy seems really x’cited ‘bout it and says it’s gonna be a big help to her. Anyways, I’s just glad we can get back on the catputer. We’ve not been able to visit our furiends fur days. ‘Course, that did give mommy some time to clean the house. You know we’re havin’ a play date soon and we wanna make a good impurr-sion.

Hmmmmm let’s see, where are we gonna put that thing?

Yep Raena, me can’t wait. It’s gonna be so much fun. We haven’t had a play date in so long. By the way, did you hear mommy on the fone last night with Ms. A, Nub’s mommy?

Bye Nubs. RIP

I’s did sissy. It’s so sad. We hadn’t been over to see him in a couple of weeks. Mommy had said we were gonna take him some special treats this week and then this happens. Ya’ know, Ms. A ended up with Nubs after his person died and nopawdy wanted him. We just can’t ‘magine what it must have been like fur him. Mommy says that’s why it’s so ‘purrtant to make plans fur us fur babies in the event we happen to outlive our peeps. Unfurtunately fur Nubs, he went to heaven on Monday. Ms. A had been at her daughters house, and when she got home, Nubs was layin’ in the kitchen almost dead. He died in Ms. A’s arms on the way to the V-E-T.

It’s really sad, Raena. but, at least he knew luv befur he left this world.

He also knew the joy of a Yeowww nip nanner since we shared one with him.

Then ya’ know he was a happy kitty. Anyways, ‘nuff sad stuffs. Ya’ know, Christmas is comin’ up really soon. Me can’t wait fur mommy to put up our tree so we can watch all the lights. You know, you’re gonna have to leave the decorations alone. The tree baubles aren’t toys.

Me?!!! What ‘bout you, sissy? I’s seem to ‘member it was you that mommy had to get on to last year.

That’s not true and you know it. Me thought you didn’t ‘member anythin’ ‘bout your furst Christmas?

How could I’s pawssubly furget somethin’ like Christmas, sissy? We got lots of purresents from our Angel furiends. And, we got to go visit and sing carols to the peeps in what mommy called an old folks home. I’s can’t wait to do that again. We are gonna do it again, aren’t we sissy?

Mommy says some of the rules have changed. But, she’s gonna call and ask ifin we can come again this year. Me just luvs all the lights and decorations this time of year brings ‘bout. And peeps seem to act a little nicer too.

That’s nice sissy. I’s wish peeps would be nicer all the time. Maybe our world wouldn’t be so full of hate. Ya’ know, we better get busy visitin’ our furiends, and helpin’ mommy clean up fur our play date. I’s’ll race ya’ to the new box.
