(Mommy fumbles around in the kitchen making Dezi and Raena’s breakfast and mumbles something about the time)
Hey, sissy? What’s mommy mumblin’ ‘bout? Is it already brekky time? I’s not sure I’s really hungry yet. I’s know I’s not ready to hunt. ketch and kill anythin’.
Don’t let mommy hear you meowin’ that, we’ll never get brekky furst thing in the meownin’ again. Seems humans think they know better than God and change their clocks a couple times a year.
What does that mean, they change the clocks? What does a clock have to do with anythin’?
Oh Raena, the clock has Eeeverythin’ to do with everythin’ humans do. Even our mommy. The clock tells them when to get up, when to go to sleep, when to work, when to eat…
When to eat?!!! Why don’t they just go on tummy time? It works fur us.?
Ya’ think? You wanna know a secret?
A secret? Of course I’s wanna know a secret. What is it?
Calm down, mommy’ll think you’re tryin’ to rush her. The secret is, we think we run on our tummy time. But the truth is, mommy programmed our tummy clocks to the humans clocks so that our tummy time alarm goes off at the time mommy wants it too. Mommy’s a sneaky one, ya know.
What? What are you meowin’ ‘bout sissy? Our tummies have clocks? Did mommy furget to change them last night? Cuz really, I’s not think I’s hungry yet.
Trust me, by the time mommy gets our brekky ready, you will be. The hands on the clock may have moved fast an hour, but mommy’s movin’ in slow motion. Happens fur ‘bout a week every time the time changes. ‘Specially since it’s turned cold again.
(Dezi and Raena look over at mommy who looks a bit confused at where she was in preparing their breakfast)
Don’t worry, she’ll figger it out. Did you see the cool colorin’ book mommy got yesfurday?

I’s sure did. We won that fur mommy from awnty Marjorie and the Dash Kitten Crew. It travelled across the whole world to get here. And ya’ know what? I’s could still smell the kitties. It was really nice meetin’ some of our furiends. Ya’ know gettin’ to smell ‘em like that, I’s feel like I’s know them in the fur.

Yep, I’s exchanged a few scents too. Fank ya’ll, mommy’s gonna have lots of colorin’ fun. And she put the little paintin’ on her desk so she could look at it every day.
Hey Dezi, don’t furget to tell everypawdy ‘bout the fundraiser fur mommy. She got a big surprise this week.
Yep Raena, she sure did. An Angel sent us $800.00 to our paypal this week. Ya’ know what that means? We’re ‘bout half way to our goal. Fank you soooooooooooooo much. Of course mommy cried, cuz she was so grateful. You know, mommy hates that she needs help. Askin’ others to help us, is purrobably her least favorite thing. She’s always said she’d do whatever she had to in order fur us to get what we need, but when it comes to herself, she’d rather go without. But what’s goin’ on with her teethies is really bad and we’re desperate. That’s why we started the fundraiser fur her. We need our mommy to be here and as healthy as she can be to take care of us. Even ifin she moves in slow motion. She’s our slow motion mommy and we luv her. That might not seem like a big deal till ya’ know, awnty Petal lives across the big pond. We are so blest to have so many wonderful and caring furiends.

Clocks oh how we wish they would not mess with our clocks…we see no point in time change. We totally understand about the eating times that hour messes us all up with eating and sleeping. Mumsy is old and she moves pretty slow all the time but when the clocks change in the spring she really moves slow. We enjoyed reading the conversation between the two of you beautiful sweeties while you were watching your mommy fixing your breakfast slowly. Love, hugs and nose kisses

Oh I understand… that clock changing can bee confusing. we have 14 days till we change it… the mama is curious if I will notice the difference or if I will sleep anyway till my common brekkie time… Hugs to that angel, we hope the goal is reached soon and your mama can relax, because one big rock what pressed on her heart is gone then…

We didn’t seem to have too much trouble with that silly changing of the clock, but dog-guy was quite surprised to see the peeps up at what to him was 5am…so they could get ready for church…its a 26 mile drive one way so they have to be up early…dog-guy was so mixed up he didn’t eat his brekky until noontime!
In petcretary’s line of work…slow motion in her residents is way better than no motion, so she patiently waits for them to do as much as they can before giving/offering assistance. Cause slow or fast, is you do not use it you will loose it…tomorrow when she is there (second shift) no one will be wanting to go to bed…they do not do well with those clock changes at all…and its a full moon today…OMC!!! MOL!

Fanky fanks. I’s sure not unnerstand these clock thingys, but sissy says they be really purrtant. I’s can’t magine why, mommy always says ours are wrong. MOL But it is good to let mommy’s sleep later than 5, they can be purretty grumpy ifin ya’ don’t. I’s know from furst hand ‘sperience. Dat wasn’t fun. And yep, I’s growin’ big, but I’s still a kitten, least til mine’s birthday. Sissy said so, and she’s s’posed to know everythin’. Big huggies
