MeOW C’mon RaenaBelle, it’s Blest Sunday. And do we ever have the Blessings to give Fanks fur. Me just luvs givin’ Fanks, don’t you?

Yep sissy, I’s do, cuz it means we have another day to lives and luvs. Looks like Summer arrived and kicked Spring on down the road. I’s guess that’s okay tho’, mommy said Spring wouldn’t be stayin’ long. It’s turned really hot and there’s been lots of fun teevee to watch from mine’s purrch. Y, I’s saw birdy’s and wasps and bunnies last week. Mommy says the waspys are dangerous and she’s always sprayin’ somethin’ outside to make ‘em go away. They must not be too smart tho’, cuz they just keep comin’ back fur more.

Yep Raena, mommy’s ‘lergic to waspys, so that’s why she’s always tryin’ to shoo ‘em off. Now where did you see those bunnies? Me didn’t see any bunnies.

They were right outside sissy, eatin’ the grass and flowers. There’ll be more bunnies to see, don’t worry summer’s furinally here. In the meantime, we oughtta give fanky fanks fur the nice weather and all our furiends.

Me is fankful fur the nice warm weather Raena. And of course me’s always fankful fur our furiends. Meowin’ of furiends, mommy got a birthday card last week from awnty Mary Beth and uncle Garth. And they also included a card from Gizmo and the rest of the furry family. Mommy thought that was just the sweetest thing ever.

Ain’t that the truth sissy?. She also got a card and some green papers yesfurday from one of our Anonymous awnties, that made her smile. Actually, I’s think it was more of a big o’l grin rather than a smile. Mommy’s kind’a embarrassed right now cuz she doesn’t have a tooth in her mouth.

Oh Raena meowin’ of mommy’s toothlessness, she had furgotten till recently that she had to renew her driver’s license befur the end of May. Ya’ know license fotos aren’t meant to be purrtraits, but mommy’s always gotten all purrettied up fur the foto anyways. Ya’ know she paints her face and fixes her hair and gets ready to pose and smile her big teeth showin’ smile. But, this year she doesn’t have any teeth fur that smile, so when she sat down to have her foto taken, all she could do was grin. She looks so funny, kind’a like a blowfish or somethin’.

Sissy, that’s not very nice of you to compare mommy to a blowfish. Besides, how do you even know what a blowfish looks like?

C’mon Raena, mommy knows she looks funny without any teethies. Her lips have all but disappeared. She keeps pushin’ ‘em out cuz she says skinny lips mean she’s gettin’ old. And you know how much mommy hates lookin’ old. MOL

That’s the truth sissy, she blames every wrinkle and gray hair on us. I’s can’t ‘magine why she would even think such a thing.

Me neither Raena. Oh well, we’ll think ‘bout that tomorrow. Me wonders how many of our furiends might be the cause of their peeps wrinkles and gray hairs? Anyways, we wanna Fank all our furiends fur their luv and fur sharin’ their lives with us. Blest Sunday: A Very Special Thank You

MeOW C’mon Raena, it’s Blest Sunday, and we have lots of things to meow ‘bout today. As you know, today is mommy’s birthday and Memorial day weekend. This month has just flown by.

It sure has sissy. How old do ya’ think mommy is? Do ya’ reckon she’ll tell us this year?

All me knows Raena is that she’s old, as in wrinkles and gray hair and creakin’ bones old. Me’s not sure even she ‘members how old she is Raena. Ya’ know, they say the memory’s the furst thing to go. MOL

Oh sissy, I’s don’t think mommy would find that so funny. But, I’s do agree that mommy’s memory ain’t what it used to be. Anyways, I’s don’t really care how old she is, I’s just glad she’s our mommy. I’s do luvs her whole bunches. You know she always puts us furst. Y, she got some green papers fur her birthday and ended up spendin’ most of ‘em on us. Seems that Drs. Foster and Smith place had our Primal Freeze Dried Rabbit noms on sale fur half purrice. We don’t think we’ve ever seen ‘em that cheap anywhere. So, mommy used her special money to get us a few bags.

Yep Raena, we do have a good mommy, that’s fur sure. We do wanna say a meowsy big Fank you to awnty Vonda, awnty Susan, awnty Anonymous, and awnty Ingrid, Pipo and Dalton fur mommy’s birthday money. Mommy cried a lot of happy tears this past week.

She did sissy. And then she cried some more when she got the box from my kitty godmommy awnty Ellen. Mommy luvs exotic house plants. Rumor is that she used to have a whole house full. Anyways, one of her favorite plants is the maranta, better known as the purrayer plant cuz it closes it’s leaves at night to resemble praying hands. When mommy opened up the box from awnty Ellen, she saw the purrettiest purrple leaves pawppin’ out all over the place. ‘Course we had to check it out too. We could smell somethin’ emanatin’ from inside that box that really caught our attention. Sure nuff, awnty Ellen hadn’t furgotten ‘bout us. We got one of those furtastic pieces of silvervine toast each. I’s ‘member when Sammy modeled his fur their posty. That awnty Ellen is so clever. Who would’a thought ‘bout makin’ silvervine toast?

Me sure did enjoy that toasty Raena. You’re right ‘bout awnty Ellen. She is so very talented. We luv all her Made with Luv goodies. You slobbered all over your toasty and then tried to steal me’s one. Hmmmpht That wasn’t happenin’. MOL

You were s’posed to share sissy. ‘Stead, you flopped your floofy big hiney down on your toasty and hid it.

You had your own Raena, and me didn’t want slobber all over me’s toasty piece. Fank you soooooooooooooo much fur includin’ us awnty Ellen. The silvervine toast was a big hit.

Sure nuff. Fanky fank you awnty Ellen. Sissy, can you x’plain a bit ‘bout Memorial day? Peeps keep sayin’ happy memorial day and I’s don’t know what’s so happy ‘bout it.

Yeah Raena, me doesn’t get the happy pawrt either, me thinks peeps just don’t know what else to say. Memorial day is the day set aside to pay homage to those men, women and anipals that died while serving in the military. Me knows fur sure, that we ‘member them and their families every single day. Ifin not fur them, our country and way of life wouldn’t exist. The freedoms we have, wouldn’t exist. This country is great because of those willing to fight and die to make it so. No where else in this world has the freedoms and rights that the U.S. does. And shame on those who want to tear it down. The next time you complain about the government or somebody saying/posting something you don’t like or agree with, remember, you have the right to do that because someone died to make it so.

I’s sure am fanky fankful fur all those who gave their lives so we could live in such a pawsum country sissy. I’s so fanky fankful fur their families who suffered loss, fur the children who lost mothers or fathers to wars on distant shores. Sometimes peeps furget, the soldier serving and fighting should be at the top of our purrayer list, but their family serves as well. So, to all those soldiers who never came home, we salute you and purromiss not to take the freedoms your lives bought us fur granted.

Yep Raena, we are blest to have been born in the U.S. and mommy and me join you in saluting each and every soldier. Thank you fur your service and your sacrifice. And to all those Vets and currently serving, we fank you as well. God Bless America. As we do each week, we’d like to remind you all to take a minute today and every day to give Thanks fur the Blessings in your lives.

Blest Sunday: Furever Blest

MeOW (Dezi sits atop the liberty cat tree looking out the door) It’s time fur Blest Sunday, so Thunderstorms, ya’ll just stay away. This is me’s day to post and me doesn’t wanna have to yell over ya’.

Raena: Sissy? Who are you meowin’ too, I’s don’t see anypawdy outside?.

Don’t worry ‘bout it Raena, it’s time fur Blest Sunday and me was just meowin’ how Blest we are. Spring, or rather Summer has furinally showed up and nature’s all a-flutter. The pawrents of those last birdies in the nest over the alarm on our door have been hangin’ on our walkway rails all day every day keepin’ watch over their babies and runnin’ off any other birdies that might come by fur a look see.

Yeah sissy, they sure have been fun to watch. They take up their stations at each end of the rail till some unsuspectin’ birdy comes along and then they start chatterin’ and swarmin’ the intruder.

Yeah Raena, they’re quite the sight to see. Me thinks a couple of cardinals teamed up the other day to see what it was they were purrtectin’.

I’s saw that sissy. While the pawrents were chasin’ one cardinal off another came swoopin’ in fur a close-up. ‘Course that mommy bird must not have been too fooled cuz she came divin’ outta the sky and chased off the other cardinal. It made fur some purretty x’citin’ bird teevee…fur ‘bout ten minutes. I’s wanna know where all the squirrels have gone off too? And where’s our Coon furmily that comes up fur spam?

Well Raena, maybe the Coons figgered out we were broke. The last time they came up askin’ fur spam, mommy gave ‘em an old can of expired chicken chunks instead. Me doesn’t think they liked it nearly as much as they do that canned meat bi-product. And with all the rain and thunderstorms we’ve been havin’ it’s purrobably a little too wet fur ‘em. Mommy did see a bunny rabbit the other day. By the time she got the car door open and her new smeow-arty pants fone out and the camera app open, that bunny was long gone. Mommy even tried searchin’ fur him with the flashlight app on said fone; but, no bunny in sight.

That poor bunny must’ve thought mommy had one of those big woofies that chased him the other day.

Ya’ might be right Raena. Me would like to know where those woofies came from too? Me actually likes the big woofies much better than those heel nippers that run ‘round here without their humans, but our ‘pawrtments’ has a size and weight limit fur anipals and those woofies were fur sure too big. They might be the reason we haven’t had any squirrel teevee this year too?. They chase everythin’…even with their human attached to them by that leash. They just drag her right along with ‘em.

Yeah sissy, they may be funnier than squirrel teevee even. On another note, we need to say a meowsy big fanky fank ya’ to awnty Cindy. Mommy luvs the purrfume you sent fur her birthday. We luvs it too, don’t we sissy?

Yep Raena, and it’s gonna smell much better on mommy than it does on the carpet. Mommy just couldn’t wait 7 more days to open it. She jumped in the shower the minute she got it so she could put some on.

And then I’s nuzzled up next to mommy’s chest to smell her sissy. I’s do luvs it when mommy smells so good. It reminds me of the sweet smell of luvs I’s felt the day I’s met her fur the furst time.

Yeah Raena, me too. Anyways, this past week was full of Blessings fur all of us. Mommy saw her new dentist and really likes her. Mommy’s mouth is healin’ up nicely and she’ll be startin’ the purrocess to get her purrmanent dentures next month. We’re still waitin’ to hear from those nasty peeps at Aspen dental, but we’ve been purrayin’ that God will give us favor and make them return the green papers mommy gave them fur work they didn’t do; she needs it to pay the new place. Spring/Summer has arrived and brought warmer days and more Mr. Sunshine with her. That means we’ll be strollin’ befur long.

Ifin we can get rid of all the wets, sissy. We can’t go strollin’ in the rain and thunderstorms.

True Raena, but mommy says there’ll be purrlenty of dry days fur strollin’ soon. Anyways, mommy got that early birthday gift and reminded us how Blest we are to have such pawsumly amazin’ furiends. Fank you all fur sharin’ your lives with us. We luv you all very much. And as always, we’d like to remind you to take a minute today and every day to give Thanks fur the Blessings in your life.

Blest Sunday: Happy Mother’s Day 2018

Dezi: MeOW RaenaBelle, hurry up. It’s time fur Blest Sunday. And, today’s Mother’s day too. You heard the lady in the box (alexa: echo dot) didn’t ya’?

Raena: I’s comin’ sissy, I’s just lookin’ fu a dry spot to walk in. I’s thought we were gonna do somethin’ special fur mommy today, you know, like let her drink a whole cup of coffee while it’s still hot, and give her extra luvvins and massages. I’s purretty sure she didn’t want your gifts. Ya’ know, we’re s’posed to be treatin’ her today and takin’ care of her, not the other way ‘round.

Oh Yeah? Well Raena, me got to thinkin’ ‘bout your suggestions and me decided mommy would much rather have the gift of knowin’ she was needed than a hot cup of coffee or a massage that we give her everyday anyways. So, me decided to start her day off right at 2:30 this meownin’. What’d ya’ think ‘bout me’s aim from the top of the liberty cat tree when me hurled that hairball wrapped in dinner? Did you hear it splat on the floor and on all three lower ledges of the tree? Me even got some on the table beside mommy’s sittin’ chair. Me’s got game that’s fur sure.

Oh sissy, I’s not so sure that’s what “game” means. And, judgin’ by the look on mommy’s face and all that huffin’ she did, I’s not so sure she was all that impurressed by your purrjectile hairballs. I’s know fur sure she wasn’t happy ‘bout the puddle of piddle you left in the middle of the pawtty box room floor at 4 a.m.. Why would you do that? Both pawtty boxes we purrfectly clean, just the way you like ‘em.

Me already meowed that to ya’ Raena. Me wanted mommy to feel needed. Me hasn’t decided what me’s gonna do next. Me might have to save the rest fur her birthday at the end of this month.

Sissy, I’s would bet you all mine’s treats fur a month that mommy would much rather have a massage than purrjectile vomit or puddles of piddle any day. You already meowed that gift ideas weren’t your thing, so why don’t you leave the plannin’ to the master…Me!?

Master? You? Huh!!! Conceited much? Mommy knows how much we luv her, she doesn’t need to finish a hot cup of coffee to feel our luv.

Nope sissy, she doesn’t. That’s why it’s a good idea; it’s somethin’ she doesn’t need, but somethin’ she doesn’t get to do very offen cuz of us. Of course mommy knows we luvs her, just like we know she luvs us…even when you leave puddles of piddle on the floor. But she always tries to make our special days extra nice, so it’s only right we do the same fur her. That means, no more purrjectile vomit or puddles of piddle fur her to clean up…at least fur today.

Me will think ‘bout it, K Raena? Me’s so blest to have such a luvvin’ mommy. No matter how tired she is or what she might be doin’, she always makes time fur me. She never hollers at me, even tho’ me knows she might not be happy with somethin’ me did…like the puddle of piddle. Me knew the minute me met mommy that me never had to worry ‘bout anythin’ ever again. Mommy’s kept every purromisse she’s ever made to me, so that’s how me knows, we’ll be together furever. Me luvs mommy sooooooooo much.

I’s luvs mommy too, sissy, and I’s just as blest as you. Mother’s day is the day we celebrate the special peeps in our lives that take care of us and keep us safe and cherish us no matter what. Givin’ birth doesn’t make you a mother, luvvin’ unconditionally does. Bein’ there and purrtectin’ and guidin’ the young does. Whether your kids have fur or skin doesn’t matter. We wish all the mother’s out there a very Happy and Blest Mother’s day. And to mommy, we say fanky fank you; your luvs can never be measured or replaced. We luvs you more and more each day.

Hmmmmm Guess you’re purretty good at this Raena. We do luv our mommy and purray her day is as Blest as ours. We’d also like to remind you all to take a minute today and every day to give Thanks fur the Blessings in your life. I Audra, am the human behind Service Cats U.S. aka DezizWorld. I am disabled and use cats as service animals instead of dogs. They are just as capable and can perform duties other animals cannot. We started our online journey to bring awareness to the ability of cats and to help others understand the relationship between a service animal and their handler/person.
