Well here we awe wiff anudder flat cat scout Caturday. And as purromissed me has anudder guest posty fur you today. Meez Pawsumly handsum mancat Andy is here to tell you all ‘bout meez flat scouts’ visit to hims house. Meez gotta tell ya’ meez flat, Izzy, had a pawsum time and never wanted to leave. Thank you Dezi. We did have a lot of fun. But you’re here to hear about the visit. We have lots of covered bridges in Ashtabula County. My mom and dad took Dezi, Christy, Meiko and Pete to see a covered bridge. This is my mom and dad’s favorite covered bridge because it has a nice park. It was really cool. The bridge goes over the Grand River. It is a one lane bridge and the wood makes a lot of noise when a car drives over it. It is a little bit scary. There is a walkway on the side of the bridge and people walk on it and fish from it. My mom took pictures of my dad showing our visiting Flat Cats the entrance to the covered bridge. Then mom took the cats for a walk on the walkway. Mom held them up and hung on to them so they could look down on the Grand River. They saw a few fish jumping but mom would not let any cat jump over the side to get the fishes.

Lookit dat bootyful water and all this “litter”. Not much purrivacy, but it sure is purretty.

The next day the cats went for a bicycle ride. My mom took Dezi and Christy for a ride and then she took Pete and Meiko. Mom and dad live on a busy road so mom always walks her bike down the road to a nice quiet side street. The Flats had a nice ride down the street. Everybody had a good time. Mom posed for a picture in the back yard with the Flat Cats. Mom Judy thinks she looks like a giant ladybug with her orange bicycle helmet.

Mom went to see Grandma Doris and the Flat Cats got to go along. On the way to see Grandma Doris they got to stop at the lake again. This time they got to play in the sand. Grandma Doris loves cats and she loved seeing all of the flats. They sat on Grandma Doris’ lap and had a nice conversation with her. Uncle Frank (mom Judy’s brother) came over after work and he brought dinner. They had chick hen and all of the fixins. It was really good. He also brought some wonderful pumpkin muffins. They were made at the in store bakery where he works. All of the flats enjoyed meeting mom Judys mother and brother. After dinner they said goodbye and came home.

The next day mom Judy put Dezi and Christy in an envelope and sent them on another adventure. They are going to see Timmy Tomcat his brother Einstein and all their fursibs. We were sad to see them go.

Well it’s Monday and meez been teasin’ you all ‘bout meez give away fur a while now. Meez tellin’ ya’, everypawdy needs one of these. Ifin there’s a head of hair or a body of fur in yous house, then pull up a chair and let me tell ya’ all ‘bout it.

Every furry out there needs sum groomin’. And there’s all kinds of tools out there fur helpin’ to get rid of mats and tangles and loose furs. And ifin yous like meez human yous purrobably tried more than a few of them. And purrobably ended up spendin’ a small fortune only to have your long haired furry run and hide or fight with you the whole time. Me purrsonally hates bein’ groomed. And mommy sez fank catness fur meez special Ragdoll fur udderwise me wuld be a matted mess. Dat is till recently. We received this pawsum groomin’ tool called da Groom Genie. Mommy gave it a once over and checked out da website and didn’t give it much fawt.

A few days later when me was layin’ in hers lap, mommy membered receivin’ it and reached over to pick it up. Me saw it, but it didn’t look like a typical brush or comb so me laid meez head back down and this time, me didn’t give it much fawt. Mommy then gently put it on meez back and stawrted brushin’ me wiff it. Oh me cats and kittens it felt sooooooo good. Me stawrted purrin’ and then da slobber came. Me was in groomin’ heaven. Me fawt to meez selff, “so this is why sis Lexi gets all beside hers selff when mommy brushes her fur.” Me just kuldn’t get enuff. There was no pullin’ or scwatchin’ just a nice massage. It’s made of plastic and has soft flexible bristles in diffewent sizes. It’s ergonamically crafted fur ease of use by yous human. Although mommy sez she wishes there was a strap to give her awfur-ritic hands a better grip, it’s still easy to handle. Me gives da Groom Genie 4 paws and a floofy tail up.

Sis Lexi likes every brush and comb mommy’s ever brought home, so she didn’t weally need to twy out da Groom Genie, but wantin’ to be fair and all, mommy used it on her too. She purred and cooed and drooled too. She sez she gives it all paws up and then sum. So now you’re askin’ yous selff what duz mommy weally fink, wight? Well let me let her tell ya’.

Thank you Dezi. Every long haired cat I have had the pleasure of knowing has hated being brushed, and Dezi was no exception. Yes she does have non matting fur but she still sheds and thus causes hairballs. And my poor baby looks horrified when she’s trying to get up a hairball. She has these projectiles that can go clear across the room. So matting or no, she needs to be brushed. It’s often done while she’s growling her displeasure and trying to bite the brush/comb. I didn’t expect anything different with the Groom Genie. But to my surprise, she loved it. No growls, no biting, no hisses, no protests of any kind. Instead she was offering spots to be combed and purring so loud I couldn’t hear the t.v. It removes dead fur easily and cleans effortlessly. I loved it too.

But it doesn’t stop there. They make one of these groomers for humans too. It’s called the Knot Genie. I have naturally curly hair that knots up like crazy. I pull out handfuls every time I pull a comb or brush through it. I mentioned that I needed to get one of the Knot Genies for myself and a few days later it was here. It not only works, but it doesn’t pull on my scalp and cause pain. Where was this when I was a kid? We all love the Groom Genie and Knot Genie here and think everyone needs at least one of these.

A Chewy Catswell Tuesday

Well Meowllo day of labor. MOL Yous know sis Lexi has had sum weally bad days here lately where she “kuldn’t” eat. She was innewested and hungwy but she just didn’t seem to be able to eat. When we finally figgered out what was wrong and got da acids unnew contwol we was all a happy bunch here. She was finally eatin’ again. Gwanted she wasn’t eatin’ as well as she had been but mommy and me was just happy to see hers eat anyfin’. She was lookin’ like a bag of bones and had mommy cwyin’ all da time.

Well as you know weez pawrt of da Chewy.com blogger purrogwam and very gwateful fur dat; so when we got da list of choices this mumff we tentatively aksed fur da Catswell Nutrisca Grain Free Chicken Entre`e in Savory Broth. It comes in 10 different flavors and costs less than $22.00 fur a case of 2.7 oz. cans. Me eats purretty well so mommy dusn’t worry so much ‘bout me but when sissy be eatin’ we don’t like to upset da kitty by changin’ fings up. But at da time sissy was eatin’ nuffin’ but tuna and you know how much mommy hates fur us to eat tuna, so she was weally hopin’ Lexi wuld not only like this new food but dat it wuld kick stawrt sissy into eatin’ udder purroteins again. Dat’s a purretty big burden to put on a little ole can of noms, but we was purrayin’ and believin’ it wuld work out.

Da day came when our chewy box awwived. Me was ‘cited cuz we had a new box. We had wecently had an inspection and so mommy had to fwo out all our boxes. (‘cordin’ to da management, boxes be a fire hazard.) Anyways, mommy opened da box and pulled out da case of Catswell Nutrisca noms. Me had a good sniff and went off to play in da box while mommy had a mini foto shoot wiff da cans. Dinner time was still a ways off so mommy went online to see what she kuld find out ‘bout this new cat food and da company dat makes it. Turns out da pawent company called Dogswell is fairly new. They was founded in 2004 when they developed their furst purroduct, a dog tweat wiff glucosamine and chondroitin. Now they make food and tweats fur boff cats and dogs; da newest bein’ da Nutrisca Grain Free canned noms.

Dinner time finally awwived and mommy gwabbed a can of these new noms and pulled da tab. Sis Lexi immediately stawrted meowin’ fwum her place at da table and me chimed in while rubbin’ mommys legs. As mommy duz wiff all our weview items she pulled out da flashy box and stawrted wiff da foto shoot. You know me dusn’t know why she has to do this when we be hungwy and waitin’ on her to fix our plates. Finally on da plate, mommy had divided da can ‘tween us; she set our noms in fwunt of us. Mmmmmmmm nom, nom, nom. This is good mommy, me meowed fwum meez plate. So me gives it 4 paws up. What ‘bout sissy you ask? Well let me tell ya’.

Sissy didn’t bovver to look up or tell us whevver she liked it or not. She kept hers head down and just kept eatin’. When she finally finished hers half of da can, she looked up and meowed fur more. WooHoo!!!!! (Dezi jumps down briefly and does the happy dance) Dat wuld mean 4 paws up fwum sissy too. She licked da plate clean and asked fur seconds. We kuldn’t have asked fur more. So what did mommy fink ‘bout it? She’s fwilled sis Lexi liked it so well and continues to like it days later. She was also weally happy dat it looks just like chicken bits and shreds. Da furst 2 ingwedients be chicken bwoth and chicken, and you can fur sure tell by lookin’ at it. Anudder fing mommy likes is da lack of carrageenan in it. Mommy was a little disappointed dat there not be much infurmation ‘bout it and she kuldn’t find da DMA (dry matter analysis) anywhere. Since sis Lexi has CKD it’s weally purrtant dat mommy knows da DMA of any noms sissy eats. So mommy called da company and spoke to a weally nice lady dat sed da noms be so new they don’t yet have all da nummers available, but dat she wuld get back wiff us as soon as pawssible. So 2 fumms up fwum mommy too. Even tho’ she dusn’t know da nummers, their customer service was pawsum and easy to deal wiff. Dat means a lot these days. We know yous know what we mean.

Scratch It Cat It

Well it be time fur anudder fun Chewy weview. Lissen up cuz this weview is ‘bout a pawsumly fun toy, piece of furniture, necessity. We was so ‘cited when we saw this dat we bugged mommy constantly till it got here. We fink every cat needs one. And in fact every cat duz need at least sumfin’ like it. What is it yous ask? Y it’s a scwatcher dat’s what. But not just any scwatcher, Noooooo. It’s da Catit Bench Scwatcher. It’s made of a high quality corrugated cawdboard and it even comes wiff a bag of nip. Not dat yous need da nip fur enticement, but hey, weez wuldn’t say no eever. MOL Mommy sez it was a bit bigger than her actually spected which is a good fing cuz as you all know we be purretty big kitties. When it furst awwived sissy and me was nappin’ so mommy put it up till we kuld boff be awake to see it.

After dinner mommy bwought it out and stawrted takin’ da plastic wrap off it. Sissy and me boff watched attentively anicipatin’ dat moment when she finally set it on da floor. Mommy gwabbed da camewa wiff one hand and da Catit bench wiff da udder and leaned over to set da scwatcher tween da two of us. Sissy was da furst to hop wight on it and stawrt scwatchin’. No catnip needed. Well me didn’t wanna miss out on da foto shoot so me stawrted rollin’ wound next to her and lookin’ all cute and stuffs. And da flashy box just kept on flashin’. Sissy was so enjoyin’ dat scwatcher dat when me looked up at mommy me saw those happy tears runnin’ down hers face. Me went over to mommy and rubbed hers legs and she sed, “Oh sweety it’s okay I’m just so happy that you and Lexi are so happy and love each other so much.” Me meowed to mommy and so did sissy. We was telliin’ her dat weez do luv each udder and weez luv hers bunches too.

Da Catit Bench scwatcher is 19 inches long and sturdy enuff to hold at least 30 pounds. We know dat cuz dat’s what me weighs and meez laid on it purrlenty and it’s not bwoke yet. MOL Da cawdboard be gweat quality and will last a good long time. We know dat cuz weez been scwatchin’ it up a stowrm and it still looks bwand new. It looks gweat and wuld go wiff just ‘bout any décor. And as ya’ know ifin yous have a cat, yous HAVE to have a scwatcher. You actually need more than one, but this wuld be a pawsum place to stawrt. Specially ifin yous kitty is a horizontal scwatcher dat luvs da corrugated cawrdboard. Meez typically a vertical cawrpet or sisal scwatcher but me luvs this little bench so much meez been givin’ it a good work out too. Me did however tell sissy dat since she liked it soooooo much dat she kuld call it hers. And anytime she wants it, me will gladly get off of it and let hers have it.
