Who’s Got The Peppermint Oil

Meollo evewypawdy and happy Caturday to ya’. As you know, cuz me told ya’, meez at Cat Scouts hostin’ a day of fun, games and dancin’ and of course eatin’. We scouts do know how to have a good time. Anyways, mommy wuz asked to do a weview, so it works out purrfectly. And cuz this purroduct be sumfin’ wiff many uses includin’ sum all you pet luvvers wuld be innewested in, mommy’s gunna tell ya’ all ‘bout it. Me will see you all fur blest Sunday. I’m going to talk to you all today about peppermint oil. I mean the essential oil and not the flavoring. As with any essential oil DO NOT apply on your pets skin or allow them to drink it. An if they get into by accident, see you vet immediately. Now I know what you’re asking yourself. If it’s so dangerous for our furries why then are we writing about it and suggesting it’s use? The answer is, because it’s natural and has a lot of beneficial uses. And if you know to keep it away from your pets you can do so and still benefit. So when we were asked to review Peppermint Oil for Go Pure Naturals skin care, we jumped at the chance. I’ve been using essential oils since my accident. They can be very beneficial.

We received a 4 ounce bottle of 100% Pure, Therapeutic Grade A cold-pressed Mentha Piperita/essentail Peppermint Oil. It arrived in only a few days in an amber glass bottle with a dropper attachment included. And it smelled divine. I personally love the crisp fresh scent of peppermint oil. I first learned of peppermint oil when I was 12 years old and singing in a competition. I had lost my voice right before the finals and thought I was going to have to drop out. I was also entered in the duet category and my duet partner knew a trick that would deaden my throat and give me back my voice. That little trick included a few drops of peppermint oil in the back of my throat. I gotta tell ya’, it burned like the dickens, but I got my voice back and was able to compete and won. It was then that I went on a research spree for all the uses of peppermint oil. And OMC I found a ton of them.

Peppermint oil is one of the most used essential oils with a history dating back almost 3000 years. It has been used both externally and internally to treat a variety of physical and mental ailments as well as it’s common household uses. It has a high concentration of essential minerals like magnesium, potassium and calcium. A few drops in a glass of water can help with digestive disorders. It can also be rubbed on the chest or inhaled through a vaporizer to help with respiratory issues. It can be rubbed into the scalp to assist with getting rid of dandruff and lice. And used on the face to encourage cell regeneration and aid in getting rid of acne.

Now I’m going to tell on Lexi a little bit. Remember I raised her from 10 minutes old, so she didn’t really learn how to be an average cat so to speak. One time when she was much younger we had a little visitor from outside come into our apartment. Yes, we had a mouse. I’ll tell ya’ I hate mice. They terrify me. I know you think I’m silly, but that’s okay I don’t mind standing in the chair and screaming. MOL The thing is, Lexi joined me on that chair and she was meowing like crazy. Luckily for us her brother Lucky wasn’t afraid and he took care of that problem for us, but Lexi is not, nor has she ever been a mouser. So, peppermint oil to the rescue. Did you know that a little peppermint oil on a cotton ball placed in cabinets or closets will keep those little rodents away. You can also place it outside your home, especially if you live near a field. It also works on wasps, ants, spiders and more.

Meowllo evewypawdy hope yous enjoyed da weekend, cuz it’s Monday again. Fur sum of ya’ dat be da beginnin’ of da work week and fur udders just anudder day. Fur us, it’s gunna be a weview day. We told ya’ da udder day we got to twy this tweat dat sis Lexi weally liked. Well Chewy sent us this pawsum tweat fwum Orijen. You know Chewy has so many pawsum bwands to choose fwum, and da Orijen bwand is a all natural one. Their slogan be Nourish as nature intended. And dat’s da kind of ingwedients dat goes into their food and tweats.

So this tweat we twied is anudder fureeze dwied one. You know dat be ow favowit. And we chose da one called Tundra. It be made wiff ranch raised venison, elk, quail and steel head trout. Don’t those sound like sum yummy ingwedients? We sure fink so. And sis Lexi weally fawt so. Da Orijen bwand be made in Canada. And guess what?  This be anudder tweat dat be edible by boff kitties and doggies. 1 tweat fur da whole house. Isn’t dat gweat?  As me sed, sissy luvs ‘em and gives ‘em a 4 paws up. Yous wanna know ifin me liked ‘em too don’t ya’. Yep, me did. Me wuld giv ‘em 3 paws up. They also cwumble purretty easy so mommy can use ‘em as a toppin’ on ow noms. They come in these little cubes dat purrawlly be bite size fur a medium size doggy. But they be soft enuff to bweak into smaller bites fur us kitties.

So what duz mommy fink ‘bout ‘em? They be fureeze dwied and nuffin’ but da meat. So faw so good. They claim to be low calowie altho they don’t say how many calowies awe in a tweat. They be carbohydwate furee, so dat’s a good fing. They awe purriced ‘tween $5.49 – $12.99, so ‘bout avewage fur this kind of tweat. Da Tundra be easily cwumbled or bwoken so mommy likes dat. They come in a vawiety of flavors and altho’ da same ingwedients be in boff, they do have specifics fur dogs and cats. We just happened to get da dog tweats. Mommy will also sumtimes do this cuz you can get a lawger amount fur not much mowe munny ifin any. In this case, da one we got wuz a 2 oz bag (dog) and it cost da same purrice as da cat bag dat wuz only 1.25 oz. And we got da same ingwedients we just had to bweak them up into smaller bites. So overall mommy gave ‘em a fumms up too. We wuld like to twy da wild boar and da lamb ones too.

We Won Da Kitty Lottery–PetBox

Meowllo evewypawdy, hope yous been enjoyin’ yous week. Weez had roofers all week and mommy has da mudder of all migwaines. We wusn’t too purrleased they wuz here eevew. So when finally came outta hidin’ to find ow supwise we felt like we had won da Kitty Lottery. We got ow very own PETBOX!!! Weez been seein’ these all ovew da blogosphere and weez entered numewous contests to win one. But so faw, weez not won any of them. We wuz a little sad and so mommy set ‘bout to make us glad. You know mommys, they don’t want us to be sad. Specially wiff all dat’s goin’ on wiff sissy and all. Anyways dat leads us to now. Weez kinda twyin’ out to be Petbox ambassadors. Dat means we wuld get ow very own Petbox evewy mumff. And OMC Wait’ll yous see what all we got. Well let me just tell ya’ ‘bout it and show ya’ evewyfin’.

As me sed we had been hidin’ nappin’ and twyin’ to avoid all da noise da roofers wuz makin’ so we didn’t even hear da delivery man come. Well mommy knew zactly what it wuz when she got da package cuz it sed Get Petbox.com wight on da box. Knowin’ dat we wuz gunna be weally ‘cited, mommy quietly opened da box to take a foto or two afur we dug in. Then she put da box up on a shelf so we wuldn’t get into it afur her wuz weady wiff da camewa. Once fings quietted down we slowly emerged fwum ow hiding nappies. And boff ow noses went up in da air. Sis Lexi maneuvered da chair, anudder box, and climbed up sevewal levels of da cat twee to get to da “box”. She stawted rubbin’ da bottom and scentin’ it all up. Me didn’t know what it wuz, but da smell wuz overwhelmin’ and me wusn’t gunna let her hav it all, so me jumped up next to her. It wuz callin’ ow names. So mommy gwabbed da camewa and took da box down. We followed post haste. It wuz like dat box wuz pullin’ us to it. And oh da wunnew when we finally got to see inside. There wuz so many pawsumly amazin’ fings in there.

Da furst item we found wuz a Yeowww nip heart. These peeps must hav da mawket on da bestest nip ever, cuz they just don’t make a bad toy. Least in ow sperience. But dat wusn’t da only pawsum nip in da box. Also included wuz a whole big ole bag of Priscilla’s cat nip. Now let me just tell ya’ we won a cat gwass kit fwum her not too long ago, and OMC dat gwass wuz amazin’. All their purroducts be Home Grown. So you can magine how good dat nip is. And it’s so finely gwound it’s almost a powder. So da bag…it is cwam packed full. No skimpin’ or cheatin’ ya’ there. Yous fur sure get yous munny’s worff. But alas, dat’s not all dat wuz in dat lottery box.

There wuz also a door hangin’ scwatcher fwum Petlinks. (We actually hav sum of their udder toys. They’s all purretty cool. Most of them hav a snap attachment dat can be innewchanged.) Altho’ no need to hang it on ow account. We liked it just like it wuz. And it even has a zipper openin’ so yous hoomans can add sum of dat Priscilla’s catnip to it. As ifin we needed mowe enticin’ to use it. NOT!!! MOL Mommy sez da scwatcher is quite nice and goes wiff any décor. Like we care, it felt good and smelled good and comes wiff a snap on toy. Ifin it ever gets unused enuff to get hung on a door, weez’ll let ya’ know. MOL But wait, there’s mowe. Da cutest little weebly wobbly nip egg wiff feathers comin’ out da top by Petlinks too. Weez been chasin’ dat wound da house fur days now. Awe you wantin’ yous very own PetBox yet? Well wait, cuz weez not fwu. There wuz also a sample size bag of Royal Canin Indoor Adult 27 dwy noms. Meowllo evewypawdy and here’s to a pawsum week ahead. It’s Monday and da end of anudder weekend. Here it is Mawch alweady. Da days and weeks awe just flyin’ by. Afur we know it Christmas will be here again. We found out da tire be weddered. We didn’t know what dat meant, but it means dat it can’t be patched. It’s cwacked and split and losin’ air outta da whole side. Anyways, we hav a pawsum weview fur ya’ today. You all know we be pawt of da bloggin’ team fur Chewy.com, and we get to twy new fings evewy mumff. They hav so many pawsum fings on their website and gweat purrices too. Yous oughtta check ‘em out. You know we wuz shoppin’ wiff Chewy afur we even stawted bloggin’, cuz they carried so much at such gweat purrices. And da shippin’ can’t be beat. Anyways, We got these pawsum tweats to twy this mumff and OMC…well let me tell ya’ ‘bout ‘em.

You all know by now ow favowit tweats be fureeze dwied chicken bweast. So when we had da oppurtunity to twy da Halo Liv-a-Littles Chicken Breast, we jumped on it. After all wiff a name like at they must be fur mommys little angels wight? We kuld see in da foto dat da jaw contained da whitest, purrettiest pieces of chicken. And well we awe a bit spoiled. We purrfur da white meat. So they awwived and mommy took them outta da box. Me wuz wight there waitin’ to hav a taste. As you all hav learned, me be a little on da picky side. Okay a lot on da picky side. So mommy’s always lookin’ fur sumfin’ to giv me dat me will actually eat and enjoy and dat be good fur me. Mommy opened da 2.2 oz jar and wealized da pieces wuz quite lawge. So mommy took a piece outta da jaw and it easily bwoke up into smaller more bite size pieces. She gave me a piece and waited. Well let me tell ya’ she didn’t hav to wait long. Me scawffed dat bite down in no time and wanted more. Me wuz lickin’ meez lips and checkin’ da floor to make sure me hadn’t left a bite. Me ended up getting’ da whole piece mommy had taken out just in smaller bites. So an all paws up fur me. In fact, ifin me had more paws me wuld giv ‘em 10 paws up. They awe delishus.

So what ‘bout sis Lexi? She wuz next to giv ‘em a twy. Again mommy took a piece out and bwoke it up into smaller pieces fur her and…she went to town. 

Lexi: I’z lubbed ‘em. And I’z wandid lawtz mower. Faynk katnezz I’z bin loozin’ wayt cuz mommy will giv me aneefeeng I’z want. Soz she gayv me da whole big owel peez. Korz she broke ‘em up intoo smawller bitez fur me. Minez lack ov teef wuzunt a purrawllem at awl. Dey wuzunt hard at awl and browk reel eezee fur mommy, and chood relee good fur me. Dey eeben broek up good nuff fur mommy too pudid sum on minez dinner. I’z gibz ‘em awl pawz up too.

So, what ‘bout mommy? Well they be made wiff only one ingwedient, chicken bweast. They also use a little water, sodium phosphate, salt and carrageenan fur seasonin’ and purreservation. Dat makes mommy happy. And da fact dat we like it makes her happy too. But what ‘bout da company? Well furstly mommy members ‘em when all they had wuz Spot’s stew fur doggies and wuz a small mom and pop type company. She even talked wiff ‘em ’bout purrpawin’ a raw diet fur hers kitties afur raw wuz pawpular. So she knows da company. But dat’s not where it stops. They not be dat little company anymore and hav lots more purroducts these days. They wuz even bought into by a celebwity.
