Blest Sunday

Well weez made it to anudder Blest Sunday. Me hopes yous enjoyed pawrt 1 of meez flat scout visit wiff Andy yesfurday. Hims will be back next week to tell ya’ da rest of da stowry. And be sure to join me tomowwo fur a pawsum give away. Meez tellin’ ya’ every house needs at least one of these.

Sissy’s been duin’ purretty good. She’s eatin’ ‘bout 12 ounces a meal so dat makes mommy and me purretty happy. Even tho’ she fwu up this meownin’, she was weady to eat more wight away. And she’s been playin’ a little which has always made mommy happy. She sez we work hawrd and deserve to play hawrd. Mommy always smiles when we play. She gets da leaky eyes when we play togevver. Sumfin’ ‘bout bootyful sisfurly luv. Da one fing dat makes mommy sad is dat sissy has been not sleepin’ wiff us. She comes to bed fur purrayers and to massage mommy off to sleep but then she goes and sleeps unnew da kitchen table. She always comes back to help get mommy up in da meownin’s but mommy has twubble sleepin’ wiffout boff of us. So me has been weally cuddlin’ up to mommy so she won’t miss sissy so much. Mommy sez dat sissy be weadyin’ us fur “da day.” And NO, we can’t say it or even fink ‘bout it. Altho’, mommy has been lookin’ a little longer at da kitties needin’ homes lately, me finks she’s just twyin’ to wish ‘em a gweat home like we have.

But dat duz bwing me to our huge blessin’ this week. And dat is dat weez all here togevver still luvvin’ each udder. And dat we have all of you who luv and support us and who we luv very much. And even tho’ da days awe getting’ shorter and lookin’ gloomier it’s still warm outside. Winter will be here soon enuff bwingin’ wiff it fureezin’ temps and yucky gway skies. We worry so much ‘bout da ferals duwin’ da winter time and awe so fankful to see so many of you makin’ such pawsum accommodations fur them outside yous homes. We know they fank you too and feel blest to have wandered upon yous luvvin’ home. Tho they may never know da touch of luv they will know da feelin’.

All of us here awe so very blest. We may complain ‘bout da wevver, but weez not weally know what it’s like. We awe blest to have homes and hoomans and purrlenty of food and soft beds and lots of toys and all da luv in da world. We have a/c’s and fans fur da summer mumffs and heaters and warm blankets fur da cold ones. Ifin we turn our nose up at da meal placed afur us our hoomans almost always offer us sumfin’ else. We all live in da lap of luxury and awe blest to have these lives. So as you go ‘bout yous day, stop fur a minute and member to say fank you fur da many blessings in yous life.

Asleep At the Keyboard

Well it hasn’t slowed down a bit here and it’s still cwazy busy. Least dat’s da way mommy sees it cuz she not be sleepin’ so good lately. Now let me splain. Mommy dusn’t sleep so good ever, but she usually duz get a few hours of sleep at night which isn’t enuff, but she’s used to it and so it works fur her. Here lately she’s been hurtin’ so bad dat she’s not weally getting’ those. And every magazine, email and website on da subject sez dat an adult needs at minimum 6 hours and ideally 8-10 hours of sleep fur da body to feel wejuvinated and da bwain to work. Well weez not seen a full 6 hours in a while and me dusn’t fink meez ever seen 10. But mommy’s been so tired lately dat she keeps fallin’ asleep at da puter. Ifin me had fumms yous kuld see dat this is neever comfurtable or restful sleep. So there’s no rejuvinatin’ fwum it.

Mommy and me sat down last night to write meez posty and me began to massage mommy and purr and afur me knew it, mommy was sittin’ there sawin’ logs. Hers fingers wasn’t typin’ nor was she editin’ fotos. She was just sittin’ there eyes closed, mouff open, head down, slumped over sawin’ logs. In fwunt of us was a blank black scween. Me meowed and mommy jolted awake and looked at me all hazy and stuffs and sed “lets go to bed baby.” So we shut everyfin’ down and and gathered sis Lexi and headed fur bed. We purrayed fur all our furiends and each udder and then mommy laid there fur da longest afur finally dwiftin’ off. A kupple hours later…here we sit.

Now weez been finkin’…actually mommy’s been finkin’. And dat can be dangerwous on a good day. But anyways, mommy’s been finkin’, and altho’ sum of ya’ weally enjoy our twainin’ stowries, our visits and comments have been way down. So weez finkin’ dat a lot of ya’ don’t like them. So weez workin’ on anudder plan to twy to bweeve new life into meez bloggy. We will still tell twainin’ stowries, just not all da time. And dat’ll work out better anyways, cuz me has sum udder fings comin’ up. Like dat pawsum give away me was tellin’ ya’ ‘bout da udder day.

And meez handsum mancat Andy be visitin’ wiff me wight now. Okay it’s hims flat, but it’s da closest me will purrobly ever get to seein’ him up close and purrsonal. And as luck wuld have it, meez flat be visitin’ him wight now. Meez been teasin’ ya’ ‘bout a surpwise stowry ‘bout dat visit and so tomowwo da surpwise will be wevealed. We Make a Difference…

It’s anudder Monday and da mumff is goin’ by fast. Christmas will be here afur yous know it and so will da cooler wevver. Our weekend was purretty busy here. It stawrted on Furiday night when me planned to earn meez Campfire tails badge at Cat Scouts by tellin’ da stowry of flat scouts’ Izzy and Tristy;’s travels. Me had been wantin’ to earn this badge fur a while but since mommy’s bwain dusn’t work so good at tellin’ tales me was just too nervous to twy. When we ‘cided to do these stowries me fawt it was da purrfect time. And when Scout Charles suggested it; dat just confurmed it was time. Me didn’t make a big fuss and da wesult was dat not many scouts turned out fur meez stowry tellin’ time. Meez sweet Andy showed up to support me and scout Pete H came by too. Foxy’s daddy, unkle Edward dwopped by cuz hims was missin’ Foxy. Member we wrote dat they was bein’ displaced. Foxy has gone to stay wiff scout Charles fur a bit till unkle Edward can find them a place to live.

Cat Scouts awe so pawsum. You offen read posts all over Blogville ‘bout da fun and games we have. And we sure do have a lot of them. Us scouts know how to have a good time. But there’s anudder side of Cat Scouts dat we don’t talk ‘bout offen, and dat’s da serious side. Mommy’s been a little unner da wevver since late Caturday so me told her she kuld take a bweak fwum da finkin’ posties today and let me tell y’all a little more ‘bout Cat Scouts. Weez wecently had quite a few new scouts join up. And dat’s pawsum. Lots of us scouts invite kitties when we write ‘bout our fun activities. And there’s not a fing wrong wiff joinin’ up to have fun. But dat’s not all Cat Scouts is about and Den Master has had to add sum new rules fur new members so they’ll unnewstand dat there’s a lot more to scouts than pawrties.

Cat Scouts take helpin’ udders very serious. Every mumff scouts send birffday cawds and holiday cawds to peeps in hospitals and homes. And member last Christmas when sissy and me got purresents fwum Angel Scouts? Wiffout those pawsum scouts sis Lexi and me wuldn’t have had much in da way of purresents. Now meez not sayin’ we have to have purresents, cuz we got da bestest purresent ever when we got a home wiff mommy. But me will also tell ya’ dat it sure was nice. We also have a chapel where we list purrayer wequests. And we all take dat seriously. And it’s not just udder scouts dat get purrayed fur. Weez all post da needs of all our furmily and furiends. We have quests a few times a year. We do have fun, but quests also teaches us fings. We learn fings like how to work togevver, and how to take care of our planet. We learn fings ‘bout udder kuntwies flags and ideals. We learn ‘bout what flowers and plants be okay fur us kitties and what be dangerwous in our botany tests.

We awe there fur each udder and twy to help one anudder any way we can. Sumtimes dat means a purrayer or word of encouragement. Several of meez fellow scouts have helped wiff sis Lexi’s meds and VET visits and foods. And sumtimes it’s more. Like scout Charles openin’ hims home to Foxy so she wuldn’t have to go to da shelter and kuld be weunited wiff hers daddy. These awe real fings. Altho’ most of da fings we do at scouts is virtual, we do make a diffewence in da real world too. Ifin yous just joinin’ Cat Scouts yous’ll need to get a unifurm wiffin’ da furst week. Dat’s no purroblem; our Sewmaster scout Gracie can whip you up a customized unifurm complete wiff badges in no time. Speakin’ of badges, yous’ll need to earn a few shortly after joinin’ up. But hey, dat’s easy. Most of ya’ have fotos alweady in yous awrsenal. Da furst badge me earned was da Meatloaf. Most kitties have at least one meatloaf foto hangin’ wound.

And lastly, new scouts must pick a patwol. We all have fun hangin’ wound da campfire but a patwol is a smaller gwoup compwised of a leader and udder members. These patwols work togevver on fings like da quests and makin’ floats and booffs fur cawrnivals and such. They help to keep all of da scouts infurmed when one of their members has a need. So Cat Scouts is a fun place fur kitties, but it’s also a pawsum place to gwo and learn to be better cats and cat peeps. It’s da “be all you can be” place fur cats. It’s anudder Blest Sunday and we awe feelin’ very blest. Sis Lexi be getting’ better by da day. Dat nasty UTI is almost completely gone and she’s eatin’ weally good again too. What else kuld we ask fur?. We also wanna send out a meowsy big Fank you to awnty Debra fur donatin’ to sis Lexi’s medical care fundwaiser. It’s still open and acceptin’ donations ifin yous wuld like to give. Mommy be usin’ dat money fur sis Lexi’s care only. Even when she was climbin’ da walls wiff caffeine wiffdrawel mommy wuldn’t touch sissy’s gween papers. Mommy and me be so happy dat sissy be feelin’ better and dat so many peeps luv her and awe willin’ to help her out. We also wanna fank da anonymous whoever dat sent mommy a can of coffee. Hers feelin’ much better too. She’s got da caffeine flowin’ fwu hers blood again and can focus a little better now. MOL Hoomans and their caffeine. Do yous hoomans need a caffeine fix of sum sort?

Weez wanna let you all know dat weez gunna be tellin’ more Service animal twainin’ stowries comin’ up this week and we will be havin’ anudder give away. And twust me, yous don’t wanna miss this one. We say yous not wanna miss any of them, but this one is way to much fun to miss. Weez won a give away dat Travis had wecently and we got 2 bags of da Bravo tweats. One bag was chicken and chicken liver and da udder was salmon. Yous know how much we luv da fureeze dwied tweets, and these awe no diffewent. OMC awe they ever yummy. Da wevver be hot and dwy. Summer is finally here and weez enjoyin’ it. Me won’t lie and tell ya’ it’s purrfect like Sammy’s had, cuz sum days just be a little too hot. But at least there’s no snow on da gwound and da rains and floodin’ has stopped. Da road outside our pawrtments is still closed off cuz of all da floods, so we have to take da long way wound to get anywhere, but at least it’s dwyin’ up now. So all in all, weez blest.

 

Me told you yesfurday dat da (Flat Scouts) Cat Scouts awe makin’ visits to all da udder scouts and earnin’ more points towards purrmotion. Me had mommy and sis Lexi help me make a little invite so da Scouts who visit us will feel more welkum. We just can’t wait fur our furst visitor. It’s gunna be so much fun. We be blest and blest again.
