Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. I’s gotta tell ya’, I’s never been so tired of a season in all mine’s 2 years. I’s so ready fur this Spring to show up. I’s beginnin’ to think she’s just a myth or somethin’. Have any of you seen her?

RaenaBelle, what in the world are you meowin’ ‘bout now? In all your 2 years huh? Do you even ‘member Spring from last year?

Well, not ‘zactly sissy, but I’s heard she brings warmer weather. You know, strollin’ weather. Not too hot, not too cold but just right.

Yeah, ‘bout that just right Raena, we live in the South where there’s really no such thing as just right. We may only see a couple of days of Spring befur Summer arrives with all her heat and humidity. (Dezi hears something besides the rain on the walk and runs to the door to look out. She sees the manager coming up the walk with a huge umbrella and hisses and runs for cover. Raena runs after her while looking back towards the door.)

Wait fur me sissy. Where are we goin’? (Mommy A goes to the door to be given a notice for a 2nd inspection of the month on next Monday. Raena turns around and crawls up into mommy A’s lap and begins a grooming session.) hmmmpht Another inspection mommy? I’s just don’t unnerstand why these peeps can’t just leave us alone. Who else in the world has intruders in their house every month, sometimes more than once?!! Guess you’ll have to do some cleanin’ mommy.

(Dezi returns to the living room to finish her breakfast. Raena jumps down and eats beside her) Me’s never unnerstood all these inspections either Raena. ‘Course, mommy did learn that they can’t legally intrude more than once a month, so we’ll have to see what happens next week. Anyways, how ‘bout a little birthday meow. Since we were outta town on your birthday and it rained so you didn’t get to do anythin’ special, mommy and me decided we’d have a little celebration fur ya’ this Sunday. It would’a been me’s sis Lexi’s birthday. Since she went to heaven, me’s sure she wouldn’t mind us celebratin’ your life on her special day. We’ll just have a small pawrty and then really throw a bash fur your Gotchaday in June.

That sounds pawsum sissy. I’s sure wish I’s could’a met your sis Lexi. She sounds really amazin’.

She was Raena. Mommy says God decided He needed her more than we did and took her back to heaven. Least she’s not sick or in pain anymore. Me really misses her sometimes, but me’s fankful fur the time me did have with her. So, we’ll plan a small pawrty fur Sunday. All of our furiends are invited and mommy says she’ll give us extra treats and playtime.

This is gonna be fun, sissy. I’s can’t hardly wait. Maybe even Spring will show up. Let’s finish brekky. All this rain makes me wanna take a nap.

Blest Sunday: Friends Are Such A Blessing

Dezi: MeOW C’mon Raena, it’s time fur Blest Sunday. And me’s feelin’ purrticularly Blest this week; how ‘bout you?

Raena: Me too sissy, me too. After all, mine’s 2nd birthday is comin’ up this Caturday the 21st. Are you gonna tell me what you and mommy are plannin’ to make it special?

Who says we’re plannin’ anythin’ Raena?

Uh, you did sissy and so did mommy. You both said there’d be no actual pawrty on mine’s big day, but ya’ll would make it up to me by doin’ somethin’ really special.

Oh that?! You’re right Raena. There’s no way we’d let your special day pass without doin’ somethin’ special fur ya’. Ya’ know, mommy said we’d throw you a huge bash on your Gotchaday this year ifin we toned down your birthday. But, that doesn’t mean we’re gonna totally furget ‘bout your birthday.

Well fanky fank the cats. I’s was startin’ to think some of that mud mommy put on her hair had seeped into ya’ll’s brains.

Well Raena, you know why mommy was puttin’ that mud on her hair, don’cha?

Uh…Not really sissy, no.

We’re gonna have fun, fun, Fun!!!

(Dezi thinks back to the sight of mommy A with all that henna mud on her hair last night and how Raena kept tryin’ to dip her paw into the bowl and laughs.) Oh Raena, you know how vain mommy is. She wanted to cover up all her gray hairs, courtesy of none other than some sisfur who shall remain nameless, befur we went to meet furiends. Mommy’s been makin’ big plans fur us to meet some very special kitties and awnty Nora. She’s even planned fur us to spend a day at BlogPaws. All in celebration of your big day. It’s gonna be your very furst big road trip.

Well sissy, I’s know lots of peeps are talkin’ ‘bout this BlogPaws thingy, will I’s like it?

As much as you like to go out and meet peeps Raena, me’s sure you’re gonna like it. And let me tell ya’, there’s some pawsum swag that goes along with it. There’s no tellin’ what we’ll come home with. The year sis Lexi and me went, we brought home so many treats and noms and toys that the whole bed was covered in goodies. So, mommy says since it’s your birthday weekend you get furst choice of whatever you want from the swag bag. And, mommy plans on chattin’ it up with some of the brands to see ifin we can’t work out some quid pro quo with ‘em.

Quid pro quo? I’s didn’t know you meowed in Latin sissy. What ‘zactly does that mean anyways?

Uh, well, it just means we hope they’ll give us somethin’ that we can use and share with our furiends. And they get the honor of us meowin’ ‘bout it. After all, who could say no to our bootyful faces?

Hmmmmm That does sound like fun, sissy. I’s gettin’ really x’cited. I’s also wanna fanky fank awnty Vonda fur sendin’ me some birthday green papers. I’s haven’t picked out mine’s actual purresent yet, but I’s can’t wait to go shoppin’. Maybe I’s can go shoppin’ while we’re on our trip.

Maybe Raena. There’ll be purrlenty of time fur you to choose your gift. Mommy says cuz we’re gonna be travelin’ and away from home most of this week, we’re gonna take the week off.

Not completely sissy. Mommy says that altho’ we won’t be writin’ blog posties till our next Blest Sunday, we will be keepin’ in touch every now and then thru our other social media sites. She also said ifin she can figger out how to work this smarty pants fone, we could actually do a couple of live videos from awnty Nora’s and the conference. That would mean we could actually meow with our furiends in real time.

Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. Ifin ya’ follow us on that facebook thingy then you already know, I’s been a little unner the weather lately. I’s a hungry girl to be sure, I’s just havin’ a little trouble keepin’ mine’s noms in mine’s tummy where they belong. Mommy fixes mine’s plate, I’s eat and then a few minutes later I’s horkin’ that stuff all over the place. Actually, mommy says I’s a really good girl cuz I’s only throw up a little on the tile wood floor. I’s save the biggest blah fur the litterbox. Altho’ it doesn’t seem to matter where I make mine’s depawsits, mommy still cries. Yesfurday I’s suddenly got the wheezy sneezies right alongside the horkin’. I’s really ‘purreciate all of ya’ fur sendin’ up some purrayers fur me. Since I’s just went to the V E T fur mine’s yearly visit, our credit is maxed out. I’s not know what that pawrt means, but the gist of it is that we can’t go see the doctor till mommy pays it off. So, purrayers it is. God’s better than that ole V E T anyways.

You’re right ‘bout that Raena, God’s better at everythin’. And, me and mommy are purrayin’ hard. Me heard mommy sayin’, she hoped it was just a stubborn ole hairball, and that that hairball paste she forced down you would help. Me doesn’t know why you don’t like the malty (hairball paste)?. It tastes so yummy.

Me luvs a good butter spoon (medicine).

It’s medicine, sissy?. We’re not s’posed to like medicine. Don’t you read how our furiends act when it’s medicine time? We make things way to easy fur mommy. I’s had to object to somethin’ just to keep her on her toes.

Just cuz everypawdy else does it doesn’t mean we’re s’posed too Raena. We’re s’posed to be good examples and happily take our medicine. Besides, malty ain’t medicine, it’s a nommy treat. Anyways, Me’s wanted to fank everypawdy fur the birthday wishes. Me’s birthday month has started off with a bang. Me got lots of extra luvvin’, a relaxin’ groomin’ session and some treats from the Chewy Goody Box and Birthday box. What more could a girly ask fur? The bestest gift me ever got is a luvvin’ home with mommy. Me’s even grateful fur you.
