Meowllo everypawdy. Not only is it Blest Sunday, our mostest favowit day; it’s Mudders Day!!! Yes it still be stormin’ here and so we still can’t be on da puter too much, but there’s no way we was gunna let this day go by wiffout makin’ a posty. Now we know dat our UK furiends alweady had their Mudders day, and sum of our furiends only have Pawsum daddy’s. But we missed da UK day and as fur daddy only houses…well weez a mommy only house so we celebwate mommy on Mudders day and fawders day cuz she has to be boff. So all you daddy only houses today be yous special day too. Now let me tell ya’ Lexi and me have dun sum nice fings fur mommy in da past and who knows, we just might this year too. But we furst wanna say dat wiff da help of sumpawdy out there we alweady did. Mommy got a cawd in da mail wiff no weturn addwess. Actually our addwess was da weturn. Wanna know why? Cuz one of you sent mommy a Mudders day cawd and bootyful pin fwum Lexi and me. Of course mommy cwied. Hers musta held and hugged on us fur hours, cwyin’ da whole time and lookin” at dat cawd. Yep, they was da happy tears. Dat be da sweetest fing. So a Meowsy big Fank you whoever you awe. Weez postin’ at da Tabby Cat Club and Cat Scouts today too along wiff our fellow tabbies and scouts. Meowllo everypawdy. We hadn’t planned on writin’ a posty today as da wedder be just pawful. Da wind is howlin’ and da skies be wumblin’ and lightin’ up wiff stweaks of blue and white. But alas, da blogosphere has lost a dear soul and we have lost a dear furiend. We’ve only been here fur a little ovew a year now, so we don’t offen write these posties. Mostly cuz there’s a lot of you we didn’t or don’t know well enuff to do you justice in da passin’ of a dearly luvved furry one. But in this case, Nerissa, aka Nissy is one we met shortly after coming to blogville. We even wemember all da details. We wuz visitin’ our then new furiend Sammy from One Spoiled Cat and he was posting an award. We still didn’t unnewstand awards and such, but Sammy sed hims gweat pal Nissy had passed it along to him. He mentioned Nissy had been round da blogosphere fur a very long time and was a special kind of kitty. We fawt dat was a weally cool name and just had to go and find out hoo this Nissy was.
So we clicked on hims name and went stwaight over. At da time Nissy and Seville was takin’ a twip wiff their egg beaters. Mouses As Nissy wuld say. We had no idea what this was all about. See da blogs we had stawted followin’ was mostly like ours, they told ‘bout events round their house and such. So a twip wiff egg beaters? You can tell we don’t read much fiction here. Our maginnations kuldn’t hawdly wrap our bwain round it. But we wuz drawn in and kept goin’ back to read more. Nissy was always nice to us when he came by to visit. He didn’t tweat us like newbies and we don’t fink he evew spoke a cwoss word to anypawdy. He had a heart of gold and was always welkumin’.
Nissy’s gone afur his time. Cuz he was let down by da VETs and da dwug manufactuwers as so many of our kitty furiends awe. So little is known ‘bout feline healff and tweatments. Fur years everyfin’ has been based on canine tweatments. Scientists awe just beginnin’ to learn dat da feline body be diffewent and wesponds diffewently than canines. Our physiology and psychology awe completely diffewent and we need science to catch up wiff feline medicine. We hate dat Nissy be gone but hims will never be furgotten. He will live on in da hearts of all he touched and in da bits and bytes of da innernet furever. We send our purrayers to hims furmily. We will miss you Nerissa, but you awe no longer in pain and fur dat we awe furever gwateful. Mommy sez dat Nissy be back in heaven now wiff God and playin’ in fields of nip wiff our very own Ransom, Lucky Devon and Shad. And dat wez’ll see him again sumday. Purrlease go by and let da furmily know yous finkin’ ‘bout them.
Meowllo everypawdy hope you’re having a gweat week so far. Yesfurday was one of ouur busy days as it was mommy’s regular monthly doctors pointment. Mommy used to be one of those peeps that was early to everyfin’ by at least 15 minutes. But since the accident and her getting older, she has become one of those peeps dat be late to everyfin’ by at least 5 minutes. So as she rushed round da house trying to get ready yesfurday me settled into a short nap at da top of da cat tree. Mommy had already passed out a few times and so she sed she was fine, and looked it too. Lexi ate a great dinner last night but wouldn’t touch her bwekky so in tween mommy’s rushhin’ to get ready she was tryin’ to coax sissy into eating. No luck there.
Me knows what you’re finkin’, what about all of dat wuld have me sorry? Well as it happens, mommy was indeed already runnin’ late fur hers pointment. So she was hurriedly trying to gather up everyfin’ we was gunna need and she stawted havin’ hers own purrsonal summer and getting dizzy. And dat’s when it happened…mommy stated whirlin’ and reaching and grabbin’ at anyfin’ and everyfin’ to hold onto so she kuld avoid falling. Well let me tell ya a little sumfin’ ‘bout lots of da furniture here in our house. Mommy has intentionally got lots of fings wiff wheels or dat be light weight so dat she can easily move fings round. So as mommy was grabbing at fings stead of supporting her, they was moving right along wiff her. Till finally everyfin’ including mommy bumped into the immoveable freezer against da wall and down mommy went. BOOM…CRASH…BANG!!! Da horror of da noise jolted me frum meez sleep at da top of da cat tree and me jumped and scurried right into da window wiff da mini blinds and onto da floor. Me kuldn’t get away get to mommy fast enuff.
Really as soon as me hit da floor, me ran to mommy to see what me kuld do to help her. Sis Lexi was hot on meez paw heels and there we was standin’ on top of mommy hoo was sprawled out on da floor. We helped mommy get up and put da house back together and we boff followed her to da chair to sit down. She cleaned da blood off her legs and arms frum da cuts and we purred while she looked in da mirror to make sure hers eye wasn’t cut up. And then mommy slowly got up frum da chair and got da stroller and we was off. Doc sed mommy’s sure gunna hurt tomorrow. She told him she sure hurt today. MOL So dat’s what me be sorry ‘bout. Me really didn’t mean to break da mini blinds. Now mommy has to go and buy sum new ones. And me sure didn’t want dat. Mommy sez she dusn’t blame me, she just didn’t have the extra money fur buying fings fur da pawtment. But there be no salvagin’ those fings. You know they have to be cheap to begin wiff, so dat’s zactly what mommy’s gunna replace ‘em wiff. But pawently even cheap mini blinds ain’t so cheap. Looks like they’re gunna cost us sumwhere round $10.00. Again, me knows you understand and don’t blame me, but meez really sorry mommy, me fur sure never meant fur them to break.
Weez also spendin’ today wiff da Cat Scouts and da Tabby Cat Club celebratin’ Cinco de Mayo. Hope you’re enjoyin’ your day as much as us. Happy 5ff of May.

Smells good mommy, awe ya’ gunna open it?

Well after weadin’ ‘bout ‘em and takin’ a kupple fotos, mommy opened da package to give us sum. She took out a kupple pieces fur boff of us as it wuz close to dinner time and mommy didn’t wanna wuin’ ow appetite. So mommy offewed ‘em to us in hers hands. We boff sniffed and then backed away and looked at da floor. So mommy laid them on da floor fur us. And she picked up da camewa hopin’ to get a foto of us chowin’ down. But dat didn’t happen. We boff sniffed and then looked up at mommy. Finkin’ we might not want a flash in ow faces while we ate, mommy put da camewa down. Nuffin’. Lexi walked off to da kitchen and me went and jumped on da cat twee. Hmmmmm Mommy fawt maybe it wuz too close to dinnew time and so she gave us ow dinnew and sed we kuld have sum tweats afur bed time. So wight afur bed time mommy took out a tweat fur each of us, and put them down and again, nuffin’. So mommy put them in ow leave out plates and off to bed we went. Da next meownin’ mommy checked and boff tweats wuz still there. While fixin’ ow bwekky she watched to see ifin us 2 hungwy kitties wuld eat ow tweat…Nope, nuffin’. So guess weez gotta conclude these wuz a weal miss fur us. All paws down. But hey, yous can’t purrlease evewy kitty evewy time.
