That’s just not true Raena. Anyways, you gotta tell everypawdy what you’re talkin’ ‘bout. And dat as Chewy Influencers we get to try great products each month dat we might not otherwise get to try. 

Okay sis Dezi, looks like you just did. I’s not completely sure what dat influencer stuffs means just yet, but we got this amazinly pawsum box from Chewy.com and inside was…kitty heaven on earth.

Okay sissy. Treats!!! We got these things called Treats. OMC They are da cat’s meow, da bees knees, da…well anyways, we got Treats. They’re called Pure Bites Freeze Dried Chicken Breast. They’re little pieces of divine white chicky meat and nuffin’ else. Mommy and sis Dezi say they come in other flavors too, and let me tell ya’ ifin they’re anythin’ like these, they gotta be good. I’s couldn’t get enuff. But mommy says they’re “specials” and dat we don’t get them all da time, and dat we only get a few each time. What’s up with dat? I want more and I’s want ‘em now. After all, there’s only 1 calorie in each piece and mommy breaks da pieces up. And besides, she keeps sayin’ I’s need more meat on mines bones. Come on mommy, just give me da whole bag.

(whispers) Is this da pawrt ‘bout da paws up or down? (Dezi nods) Oh Dezi I’s give da Pure Bites freeze dried chicken breasts 4 paws up fur sure. Ifin I’s had more paws, they’d be up too.

Thanks Raena. As you all know me luvs freeze dried chicken breasts and these Pure Bites hit da spot. Me gives ‘em 4 paws up too. Me asked mommy and she said she was thrilled we both like them and readily ate them. No mumblin’ or grumblin’ at treat time. She luvs dat there’s only 1 ingredient and it’s da protein, and dat they be low calorie. They’re $3.49 fur 0.60 oz, so mommy thinks they’re a bit expensive ‘specially since a lot of da bag is already crumbled up and not whole pieces. But she says she can use da crumbles as a topping fur our meals, so it’ll still get used. We mentioned these come in different flavors and they also make bigger bags fur da doggies. Since there’s just one ingredient, these treats can be fed to both kitty and doggy or any other meat eater you may have. Mommy used to buy da doggy bags fur sis Lexi and me cuz they’re much bigger.

Well meowllo everypawdy. This month has just gotten away from us here. Me has one more Chewy review fur ya’ befur da month of June is officially over. As ya’ know, cuz we tell ya’ all da time, we luv Chewy.com. We was shoppin’ there long befur we became Chewy Influencers. Mommy likes their purrices and havin’ all our supplies delivered right to da door. Anyways, let me tell ya’ ‘bout this food we got to try.

As me told you befur, when we got da list of offurings this month, mommy checked them all out and picked a food dat was good fur all life stages. With me bein’ an adult and Raena bein’ a kitten, mommy wanted to be sure da noms we tried would be appropriate fur both of us. So we got a case of Whole Earth Farms Grain Free real chicken recipe canned food. This food and da name were new to us, so we checked ‘round and found dat Whole Earth Farms are a pawrt of da Merrick Pet Food company dat was recently bought by Nestle Purina Pet Care.

There are 8 different choices in da Whole Earth Farms grain free cat food. Most of da flavors are pate. Since we don’t like pate, mommy chose da morsels in gravy fur us. Da morsels are small bite sized chunks in a thick gravy. We received a case of 24) 2.75 ounce cans. They also come in da 5 ounce cans. Da price runs ‘tween $18.00 and $26.00. No carageenan included and meat is da furst ingredient. Those are always a plus. Now let’s get on to testin’. Mommy halved a can ‘tween Raena and me. Mommy also added quite a bit of water to ours and thinned out da gravy. Me sniffed and licked da gravy but me wouldn’t eat da bits. Da gravy was purretty tasty, but me can’t say ‘bout those morsels. So mommy went to check on Raena and see what she thought.

Y Fank you Dezi. As I was sayin’, I’s didn’t like da gravy much less da morsels. Mommy even put some bonito flakes on top of it to entice me to try it. But I just wasn’t havin’ any of it. So no paws from me.

Fanks Raena, but we don’t give anythin’ no paws. Just cuz you didn’t like it doesn’t mean other kitties won’t. And da ingredient deck is a good one, so based on dat Raena, we each give it a paw up. And cuz me liked da gravy, me would give it another paw up. Let’s ask mommy what she thought.

Thank you girls. The ingredient list does appear to be good. And the morsels are very small bites, and the cans are packed. For those reasons I would give it a thumb up.

Meowllo everypawdy and happy Wednesday to ya’. We got some great questions from me’s Service Animal posty, and we’ll be answerin’ them and so much more in our next installment on Monday. In da meantime, me has some noms to tell ya’ ‘bout. As ya’ know we be pawrt of da Chewy blogging family and get to try out new things every month. This month we knew we were gonna have a kitten in da house so mommy looked at da offerings really careful like and chose a couple foods dat are good fur all life stages. Dat means both Raena and me can eat it and it will be nutritionally balanced.

So, dat bein’ said mommy chose da Solid Gold Holistic Delights in Creamy Bisque with chicken and coconut milk. Now these come in 3 ounce packets, 12 to a case for $14.28. They are all grain free and da chicken bisque we received also says it’s gluten free. And as me said befur, it’s appropriate fur all life stages. Here’s what’s in it:

Solid Gold claims dat da rich coconut milk provides much needed calcium that’s easily digested and gentle on kittys’ tummy. Da Holistic Delights pouches come in 6 flavors. Altho’ da name of our choice says chicken, it includes quite a bit more tuna than chicken. Mommy’s basing dat on smell alone. Da chicken doesn’t contain carageenan, so those of you who look fur dat can rest easy. Anyways, we know you wanna know what it looks like and ifin we liked it.

I’s a natural, don’t ya’ think?

 

Well me didn’t even wanna try it. As we’ve told you many times, mommy doesn’t feed us much fish, so me’s just not used to it. And da smell emanatin’ from me’s plate was just too much and me wouldn’t even go near it. Mommy tried spoonin’ a little of da broth to me. Me does like a little milk and mommy won’t let me have it. You know us kitties be lactose intolerant, and mommy purr-furs not to have to clean me’s bloomers ifin she doesn’t have to. Anyways, me didn’t want da broth either. Of course me has to give it a paw up fur bein’ grain free, gluten free and not containin’ so many of da questionable ingredients. So mommy moved on to Raena. Raena, do you wanna tell everypawdy what you thought ‘bout da Holistic Delights Creamy Bisque with Chicken and coconut milk?

Fanks Dezi, I would luvs too. I’s had some good eatin’ since comin’ here to live with mommy and sis Dezi. When mommy furst put mines plate down I went in whole head furst. It looked kinda milky cuz mommy adds a lot of water to mines meals. Me started lappin’ it up, and then me discovered there was bites in da milk; really small pieces of meat and veggies. I’s ate ‘bout half da plate befur turnin’ mines nose up, tryin’ to cover it up and walkin’ away. Mommy left it down fur ‘bout 35 minutes and I did return and eat more. Unlike mines usual meal plate; it didn’t get licked clean. I have eaten da Holistic Delights Creamy Bisque a few more times since then, but it’s always da same; I eat a little and walk away. So I would give it 2 paws up.

Fanks Raena, glad you liked it. Mommy says she would have to give it a thumb up cuz of da grain and gluten free nature. She likes dat da proteins are second and third on da list. However, she said it should be called chicken and tuna cuz of da amount of tuna included. And a side note somethin’ in it ‘pawrently gives Raena gas. OMC Dat’s not somethin’ ya’ wanna smell.

Meowllo everypawdy and happy Caturday. Me knows you expected a Straight From Your Kitchen recipe today since me didn’t post one this week, but me has a Chewy review me needs to tell ya’ ‘bout instead. Recently one of me’s furiends made mention of all da reviews/ads goin’ on in da bloggin’ community; so me thought we would explain a bit ‘bout why we do it. Furstly, as you know we don’t have much money and so getting noms, treats, toys or other products really helps us out each month. It also allows us to try some things dat we might not otherwise get to try. And we get to tell you all ‘bout it. More than once mommy has seen somethin’ dat by it’s description sounded like it would be purrfect fur us only to find once she’s bought it, da description wasn’t truthful. Fur instance, pate type foods don’t go over very well in our house, and more often than not descriptions aren’t clear ‘bout what’s actually inside da can. Therefur it’s really helpful when we can actually see da noms in a plate so we can determine ourselves ifin it’s worth spendin’ money on or ifin we would eat it. And sometimes we get to offer give aways so dat at least one of our readers will get da chance to try it too. So we see it as a win win. Now let’s get on with da review.

This month we got to try Wellness Core Hearty Cuts in gravy chicken and turkey canned cat food. See da name of these noms? Hearty cuts in gravy? Well we think you would expect what we did, little chunks of chicken and turkey in a nice gravy. Well let me tell ya’ dat’s not what it is at all. There was some fine print dat mommy couldn’t read dat woulda caused her not to order these in da furst place, cuz they aren’t chunks, they’re shreds. And they’re not even shreds like pulled meat. They be little tube shreds, dat look like meat and other ingredients have been puréed together and then passed through a pasta maker or large hole grater. Da gravy is really thick and a little oily so mommy added a little water to thin it out and make it more appealing fur me.

Befur we get to da taste test, let’s take a look at da ingredients and claims.

Alright, let’s get to tastin’. Mommy, bring me a plate of dat Wellness Core Hearty Cuts in gravy and let me try ‘em out. (Dezi looks intently at the plate containing the shredded bits of chicken and turkey and then puts her nose down to smell it) Hmmmmmm smells okay, let me lick a little of dat gravy. Okay, me’s backin’ up now. Mommy, you can share this with Buddy cuz me doesn’t wanna eat it. Yep, dat’s right, me doesn’t like this at all. Mommy even tried cuttin’ da little shreds up and me still wouldn’t eat it. Buddy on da other hand couldn’t eat it up fast enuff. So Buddy gives it 4 paws up. Me hates da addition of da “Super Foods” since they’re not super foods fur us kitties at all, but everypawdy’s doin’ it. So all in all, this is a good quality food. Fur dat reason me gives it a paw up. Mommy said fur da same reasons she would give it a thumb up as well.
