Meowllo everypawdy hope your weekend was great. With all da excitement dat went on last week we didn’t get to post a new treat recipe. It’s still stormin’ here and mommy has her regular monthly doctor’s appointment today so looks like we won’t get much catputer time.
Mommy had called to check on mr. W and he started orderin’ her around. Yep he sure did. He’s very gruff and told her to get under his bed and find his phone and bring it over to da hospital to him (45 miles away). Now let me tell ya’ mommy’s gotten on to him fur this very thing befur, and so of course she lit into him with da force of da lightnin’ from da skies and backed him down to purrleases and thank yous. Of course mommy ain’t gonna go crawlin’ round on his dirty floor lookin’ fur no fone. But she can take a broom and swoosh under there. As fur da goin’ over there? Well she told him da only way dat was happenin’ was ifin she was drivin’ his car, usin’ his gas and puttin’ da wear and tear on his vehicle, and then and only then, at her convenience. He’s got kids ’round here dat he could have do these things, but nopawdy likes to be ordered around. Well anyways, dat’s kinda what’s been goin’ on here.
Now let’s get back to da recipe. Purrlease remember these are treats and not nutritionally complete. You may substitute any meat for the protein ingredient, and they can be eaten by all the meat eaters in your house. So today we’s gonna give ya’ a recipe fur some moist treats.
Moist Bites
1/2 Pound ground beef/chicken/turkey (or whatever protein you want)
1 Tbsp. Grated Cheese
1/4 Cup Dried Catnip
1/4 Cup Bread Crumbs
1 Egg (beaten)
1 Tbsp Tomato Paste
Preheat oven to 350° Makes about 2 dozen
1. In medium bowl mix ingredients in order of listing
2. Using your hands, Roll mixture into walnut sized balls
3. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet
4. Bake for 15 minutes till balls are lightly browned and firm
5. Cool before serving or storing in an airtight container. May also be frozen

Well this isn’t just another Blest Sunday. Today is Mother’s day in da U.S.. Today is da day we celebrate those mommy’s dat luv us and take care of us. What is a mommy tho’? Dat’s a loaded question, and me’s mommy says it’s a lot of things. So me thought me would take a minute today to remind you all who a mother really is.
Fur some, mommy’s the one dat gave birth to them, and raised them up. Fur some it’s a grandmother or aunt. Fur others tho’, like me, we celebrate da purrson in our lives who luvs us unconditionally. Who takes care of us through good times and bad. Da one who sees all our faults but thinks we’re purrfect in spite of them. Da one who’s there when we need to talk or when we just don’t want to be alone. Not all mommy’s look like mommy’s. In this day when single pawrent homes exist, sometimes da mommy has to also be da daddy and da daddy also has to be da mommy. So today is da day to celebrate dat purrson in your life dat you consider to be your mommy.
Me’s givin’ mommy lots of extra luv and snuggles today. And fanks to an anonymous somepawdy mommy received a Mother’s day card from me and angel Lexi. And me’s Trout Town furiends helped a girly out and sent mommy an ecard from me. Me has da bestest furiends in da universe. Me hopes you all have sunshine today fur your special mommys. It’s rainin’ and cold here, but dat just means more cuddles fur mommy.

WooHoo It’s finally Furiday!!! It’s still a little chilly but da sun was out when we got up this meownin’ and da temps are supposed to rise. Looks like summer may be here. You know what dat means? Me’s hopin’ fur lots of stroller rides with mommy.
Course, me’s havin’ to share her right now.
Yep, we got a knock on da door yesfurday and mr. W’s home health nurse said he told her to come tell mommy to take care of Buddy. Mommy just luvs how he thinks he can order her around…NOT!!! But of course mommy won’t let Buddy go hungry, so she trodded off to mr. W’s ‘pawrtment to feed Buddy. Da place was a mess (messier than normal), so mommy called ‘round to da hospital when she got back home. Sure ‘nuff he was there. He said Buddy tripped him and he broke his hip and had to have pins put in it. He’s been hopin’ fur a new hip fur a few years now. He’s been purr-pussly fallin’ tryin’ to break dat thing to no avail.
Now we’s not bein’ mean here, mr. W told mommy dat himself when she caught him out on da ice a couple winters ago tryin’ to slip and fall. Ever few months he goes to da hospital cuz of a fall, but he’s never broken dat hip. Well this time he did. Da only thing is, we don’t like him blamin’ Buddy. Trust me, Buddy’s no leg winder. And he’s used to givin’ a wide berth cuz mr. W be large and clumsy and uses a wheelchair. Anyways, me’s getting’ off track here, mommy be takin’ care of Buddy right now, so dat’s gonna cut into me’s strolls a bit; and everythin’ else fur dat matter. She’s tellin’ me to hurry now in fact cuz she needs to go feed and play with Buddy.
Hmmmpht How dare she, he, they, whoever.
