Well Caturday’s finally here and it’s time fur anudder epawsode of Flat Scouts. Ifin yous missed our furst posty just click here and a new window will open so yous won’t lose yous place. And member weez takin’ a few liberties wiff these posties and twyin’ our hand at sum cweative writin’. We had a house full of pawsum scouts. Shoko, bwofurs Timmy and Einstein and Mango was all here. We spent a lot of time hangin’ out on da cat twee, and playin’. They all luvved our new FroliCat toys we had gotten fwum PetSafe. And of course all da nip. Mommy’s weally furee wiff da nip wound here and they all fawt dat was pawsum. Seems most of them didn’t have fountains fur dwinkin’ at their house so dat took a bit of getting’ used too. A little tip fur anypawdy innerducin’ a fountain to yous bowl dwinkin’ kitty is to leave a bowl of water beside da fountain. It may take up to a mumff fur yous kitty to get used to dwinkin’ fwum da fountain. Me didn’t take to da fountain dwinkin; wight away. Mommy sez it took me a whole mumff afur me wuld go near da fing. But Oh me kittens and cats me can’t magine dwinkin’ fwum a plain ole bowl ever again.

Anyways, We had a time wiff mommy goin’ to da doctor and on hers errands. And everypawdy got to take a spin in da wheelchair. It was a little scary fur ‘em but they did purretty good. Mommy held each one tight and spoke to them in hers soft luvvin’ voice dat always calms kitties. And we all went fur a stwoll wound da pawrtments on da weekend. Everypawdy had fun and luvved ridin’ in da stwoller. We meowed ‘bout Lexi and meez duties as Service Cats and we even showed them a few fings. Like how to open da cabinets and give mommy massages. They all weally excelled at these tasks and had a gweat time purrfurmin’ ‘em. We hated to say goodbye, but Shoko, Timmy and Einstein had to be off fur da next leg of their twip. So this last Monday we sed our goodbyes and sent them on to have more fun at Timmy’s house. We sent a little furesh nip wiff Shoko to take home fur her and Kali, and sum wiff Timmy and Einstein to share wiff their furmily.

Mango got to stay and we had a gweat week duin’ lots of girly fings. We meowed ‘bout all kinds of fings and painted our claws and played in mommys makeup. We went fur more stwoller rides and hung out in da twee a lot more. We had a gweat visit and hate to see hers go too. But mommy sez all good fings must come to an end. So Mango will be off furst fing Monday. And we know we will have lots more flat scout stowries to tell cuz there be lots more scouts dat haven’t visited us yet. To join Cat Scouts, click here. Sayin’ Goodbye is always a little sad.

Da stowrm we had yesfurday kept us off da puter most of da day. But it’s over now, and we will twy to get caught up wiff our visits. But…Mr. W came to da door yesfurday and asked mommy ifin she wuld go to da Pet Store wiff hims and show him what to buy fur Buddy. Mommy sed she wuld ifin hims wuld buy hers wecommendations. So it might be tomowwo afur we make it by.

Need For Speed

OMC We woke up today to da dawkest sky in a while. And there was lots of funder boomers and rain. We was so happy to see da sun peekin’ fwu da clouds, cuz we fur sure don’t wanna flood anymore. They just opened da stweet by our house on Wednesday, dat had been closed since May. We did get a few questions ‘bout our last posty, so we wanted to twy to answer those dat don’t weally fit into da stowry afur we go on. All our postys awe public so we hope lots of peeps be readin’ them. Purrlease SHARE any of them you want, specially our twainin’ postys. We have share buttons at da bottom of every posty fur almost all furms of social media to make it easier fur ya’. We will never make a diffewence ifin more peeps don’t see them; bloggers and no bloggers. Altho’ we do want you to member they awe not meant to be a twainin’ manual. There awe lots of minutes and hours and weeks of purrep and twainin’ dat we can’t and don’t include. (sum fur lack of memowy and sum cuz fur a reader they wuld be boring.) Anyways, yous here fur anudder twainin’ stowry so let’s get on wiff it. Me knows yous all wunnewin’ just what da Need fur Speed’s all ‘bout.

We left off wiff me havin’ inched da movin’ chair a whole foot and sum. (Mommy sez wepetition, wepetition, wepetition.) So as we did everyday at da time, mommy called me over too her after bwekky fur anudder lesson. Me gladly jumped up in hers lap and stawrted to purr. We had dun this enuff times dat me knew zactly what she wanted me to do so me stood up on da awrm and pushed da button. Meez paw slipped a little and me pushed da button again a few more times. Da wainbow of lights was shinin’ so me took pawsition to bite da joystick. Mommy put one of hers hands unner me to give me support and da udder on meez neck wight behind meez head. Da chair was pointed in da diwection of da livin’ room again and sissy had taken up hers post watchin’. Mommy sed, “Okay Dezi, gently push the stick.” So me bit down and pushed da stick furward.

 

 

OMC We jerked furward and backward and jutted toward da livin’ room at top speeds. Sissy ‘bout jumped outta hers fur and took off down da hall and mommy gwipped me fwum unner neaff and held on tight. We got to da edge of da livin’ room afur me kuld even fink. We had always abwuptly stopped there many times afur. But not this day. We just kept on goin’. And when we jumped da hump leadin’ to da cawrpet, me jerked meez head to da left and well…mouff still on joystick, da whole chair turned and headed fur mommys sittin’ chair. Still zoomin’ at top speeds, mommy quickly took da hand dat had been on meez neck and pushed da button, and da wainbow of lights went out and da chair jerked to a full stop. Meez eyes was big as saucers when me turned to look at mommy, and hers eyes was hooman dinner plate size. Sis Lexi was peekin’ down da hall fwum da bedroom and she had saucer eyes too. Yous kulda cut whatever was in da air wiff a knife it was so fick. Finally mommy bwoke da silence wiff a giggle and sed, “You’ve been talkin’ with your sister about the other buttons haven’t you Dezi?”

Seems da button me pushed when meez paw slipped was da speed adjuster and me had turned da chair all da way up. All da way up is generally not a ‘in da house’ speed; specially fur a pawrtment our size. We had come to a stop right at mommys sittin’ chair, so me purromptly jumped outta mommys lap and into da sittin’ chair and stawrted meowin’. Mommy patted her leg which was a sign fur me to get in hers lap. But twuff be told, dat ride was a little scary and me wasn’t sure me wanted to get anywhere near da movin’ chair again so me just sat there lookin’ at her. Mommy reached out a hand toward me and me back up a little and stuck meez nose out to give her a sniff. Mommy giggled and sed, “It’s okay sweety, that’s why I put these foam pads all over the chair. Just in case we bump into anything the chair won’t cause any damage.” Yep, mommy talks to us just like dat. She knew me had no idea what she was talkin’ ‘bout, but da sweetness in da way she sed it, made me feel safe and so me walked back onto hers lap fwum da sittin’ chair.

Lexi came back up da hall and jumped up in mommys lap too. Mommy stawrted pettin’ us boff and da purr fest began. Mommy told us how much she luvved us and how purrfect we boff was. Dat’s wight, mommy finks weez purrfect and there ain’t anyfin’ you can say dat’ll make her change hers mind. She also told us how smawrt we was and how purroud of us she was. And then she reached into da bag on da side of da movin’ chair and pulled out a bag of tweats. By this time hers legs was soakin’ wet fwum all da happiness dwool dat sis Lexi and me had depawsited. She opened da bag while Lexi and me sat impatiently patiently waitin’. She pulled out a kupple pieces of fureeze dwied chicken bweasts and da dwoolin’ stopped and da munchin’ commenced.

Well da weekend’s almost here again. And weez hopin’ sumtime this mumff to meet anudder of our awnties. Weez so ‘cited we can hawrdly wait. Weez’ll tell ya’ all ‘bout it whan it happens. Fur now weez got a yummy nummy tweat to tell ya’ ‘bout today.

We was so ‘cited to get our Chewy.com weview box this mumff cuz inside was sum fureeze dwied tweats fwum nun udder than Weruva. Yous al know how much we like da fureeze dwied tweats and dat we wecently learned all ‘bout da yumminess of da Weruva noms; so we fawt fur sure these tweats was gunna be pawsum. They be called Paw Lickin’ Chicken. And yep, they leave off da “g” just like we do, so we felt a kindwed spiwit. (MOL) And they have a canned nom called Paw Lickin’ Chicken dat we luv, luv luv. So we kuldn’t wait to sink our teefies into them. OKay maybe me kuldn’t wait to sink meez teefies into ’em, and sis Lexi was hopin’ to gum ’em. They came in a tall cylindwical cawrd board tube dat contained 1.91 ounces of fureeze dwied chicken bites. It took mommy a few minutes to figger out how and which end to open, but she got it open no purrawllem. And me was standin’ by to twy whatever she bwought outta dat tube.

Me likes a teeny tiny bite so mommy had to bweak a few apawrt fur me. They easily bwoke wiffout fallin apawrt and makin’ chicken dust. Altho’ mommy sez they wuld be easy enuff to cwumble over noms fur a little topper ifin yous wanted too. Da only ingwedient in ‘em is…..Chicken, and not just any pawrt of da chicken, but boneless, skinless, white chicken bweast. Oh yummy, our favowit. Da whole tube be 200 kcal so each tweat be less than dat and a gweat source of purrotein. And sis Lexi needs da high quality purrotein wiffout all da junk. Dezi Inches Forward

OMC We had spections and exterminations today, so mommy was awake half da night repawsitionin’ our water fountains, toys and nip mats and cleanin’ da litter dust and twacked wheat. And then da manager wrote hers up fur da windin’ wisteria bein’ wound round 6 inches of our outside rail. It’s always sumfin’ wiff this woman. Anyways, on wiff da twainin’ posty. Dat’s what yous came here to read isn’t it? Weez got severwal emails tellin’ us they enjoyed these stowries and dat they had a few laffs over our last few posties. Our wespawnse was a meowsy big fank you, and ifin they fawt those was funny they haven’t read anyfin’ yet, cuz meez twainin’ was comical to say da least. At least dat’s what mommy sez. She sez no udder kitty has had tawinin’ sessions as innewestin’ as me. Meez not sure ifin dat’s a compliment or not, but me luvs mommy so me dusn’t mind.

We left off Monday wiff me havin’ moved da chair a few inches. Let me tell ya’ ifin yous not steady and holdin’ on dat initial jerk will fwo ya’ fur a loop. It might even fwo ya’ outta da chair. Fankfully mommy had a hold of me so me didn’t go anywhere. Anyways, da next day (member, wepitition, wepitition, wepitition) after bwekky mommy called me over to da movin’ chair again and up into her lap. Well as you know me luvs mommy and lap time, so me ran wight over and up me went. Mommy gave me a little luvvin’ and told me what a good girly me was and then she sed da magic words, “Push the button baby.” Me just luvs hearin’ dat chair beep. So me stood up on da awrm and weached over and pushed da button till me heard a beep and saw da lights make a rainbow. Mommy put one of hers hands wound meez middle and da udder on meez head and gently pushed meez head toward da joystick. Me membered da day afur and bit down on it afur mommy kuld telll me too. Mommy sed, “Okay, honey, we’re gonna take a little ride, so hold on.” Me bit down a little hawrder and mommy gently pushed meez head furward.

 

Weez jerked furward and then back a bit but me stood meez ground and we inched furward. And when me sez we inched, me means we inched. Me didn’t quite unnewstand it. Da chair moves a lot faster when sis Lexi’s dwivin’ so what’s goin’ on me wunnewed?. Me was gunna have to meow at sissy ‘bout da speed fing, but fur now we kep inchin’ furward. It took like a billion gazillion minutes but we finally made it to da edge of anudder room. We stawrted in da dinin’ room and stopped at da edge of da livin’ room. Member now our pawrtment is very small and da dinin’ room, kitchen and livin’ room awe all togevver, so we only went ‘bout a distance of 1 1/2 feet. And dat’s hooman feet mind ya’. Sis Lexi had been sittin’ in da livin’ room watchin’ us, but as we got closer to da livin’ room she jumped up and dashed down da hall a bit to watch. Me weally didn’t know why, but me wuld soon figger it out.

When we got to da edge of da room da chair just stopped. Me was still pushin’ on da joystick but nuffin’ was happenin’. Me wasn’t sure what was goin’ on, but mommy stawrted luvvin’ on me so me soon furgot and stawrted purrin’ and enjoyin’ meez luv fest. Sis Lexi came back to da livin’ room and took her place back in da sittin’ chair and stawrted a baff. Mommy told me how purroud of me she was and what a gweat job me did and me got down and stuck meez tail up high and stwutted wound meowin’ a bit and showin’ off. Me had dwove da movin’ chair and didn’t get scared. WooHoo Chair twainin’ session was over fur da day and mommy pawrked da chair to chawrge and joined Lexi and me in da livin’ room. Sissy and me had sum mutual gwoomin’ time and mommy gave us boff luvvin’ and told us how special we boff were and how much she luvved us. Stay tuned fur meez next stowry.
