Are you ready? Thanksgiving is here and that means there’s less than 30 days till Christmas. Can you believe it? Seems just like yesfurday we were celebratin’ da summer holidays. But summer has come and gone and winter is on it’s way. Some of ya’ awe already getting’ snow and cold. Weez sendin’ y’all and all da ferals in your area our purrayers. It did turn cold here fur a few days but it’s warmed up a bit again. Weez kinda glad mommy hadn’t taken out da lectric blanket, cuz today weez sweatin’. MOL  It was so warm this meownin’ me took a break from brekky to lay in da bath tub a bit. But just as quick as it warmed up it’ll turn cold again. We don’t like da cold but we do like da extra cuddles and snugglin’ dat come with it.

We got da cutest Thanksgivin’ card yesfurday from one of me fellow scouts, Pete and hims furmily. Cat Scouts go to work at this time of year spreadin’ holiday cheer to those who might not otherwise have any. Now dat’s not to say dat scouts aren’t busy all year round cuz they are. Those of us scouts dat blog usually post all our fun virtual trips and parties. And cuz of dat a lot of ya’ may be thinkin’ dat scouts is just a big party. But you wuld be wrong. Scouts is a learnin’ adventure and a community helper. There are projects all year round dat scouts can purrticipate in and bring joy to those less furtunate. Weez there fur each other and try to help each other durin’ times of sads and trubble. We have a quiet room where we post all our purrayer requests and other scouts rally to purray. Meez recently been named da Scout Chaplain. Me is so honored and hopes dat me can be da Chaplain dat every scout needs. So yes, we do have a lot of fun, but ifin you’re lookin’ to grow and be da best kitty you can be, think about joinin’ up. Just click da link in red to be transported to scouts.

We have a lot of gweat things comin’ up fur ya’ in our future postys. Even mommy is gunna be bringin’ ya’ sumfin’ special. She’s really ‘cited ‘bout it and sis Lexi and me are excited fur her. Weez not plannin’ much fur Thanksgiving, but we will be takin’ da day off to enjoy spendin’ time together. We are so thankful dat we have each other and a home filled with luv.  We wrote a little poem about the things weez thankful fur.

 

Giving Thanks 

 

We’re thankful for the air we breathe,

   The wind that blows thru the leaves.

The sun that shines in the sky up high,

   The darkness that covers the world at night.

The freedoms granted by God above,

   And for His mercy, grace and love.

We’re thankful for our loving home,

   our mommy, each other, that we’re not alone.

We’re thankful for you and you,

   all our friends and family too.

Today and everyday we’ll share with you

   All our love and gratitude.

It’s Fanksgivin’!!!  Well it’s finally here.  Yous know what dat means? Dat Christmas is wight wound da corner. OMC  Me just luvs Christmas.  All da lights and……well, meez gettin’ way ahead of meez selff, so let’s come back to today. As you know weez been makin’ fankfullness postys all week cuz we ran acwoss a hop (dat we then lost and didn’t join or copy da badge) ‘bout shawin’ a fankfullness posty everyday till Fanksgivin’.  Me wants to say to all of you dat me weally purreciates yous twyin’ to help me find it again, but alas, we didn’t. But dat’s okay, cuz me found da one fur Fankin’ Blogville on Fanksgivin’ over at Madi’s home, and a Share yous Gwatitude dat runs fwu da 30ff and calls fur 1 posty over at da Kitty Cat Chronicles.  Well knowin’ mommy might likely furget again, and dat we wuz alweady postin’ those gwatefull postys, we gwabbed da badge and joined da hop. We wuz gunna post da badge on meez nex posty which wuz yesfurday. Did ya’ see a hop badge? Nope yous suwe didn’t. Cuz as usual mommy furgot again. In hers defense tho’ we wuz sum kinda ‘cited ‘bout da whole Chewy fing. So at this point meez hopin’ dat da blogosphere is not only gwatefull this time of year but also furgivin’.

Anyways, todays hop is fur Fankin’ Blogville. There awe so many fur us to fank dat we kuldn’t pawssibly list you all. And knowin’ mommy she wuld furget sumpawdy. So we wuld very much like to giv a collective Fank you to all of you. Those of you hoo helped us figger out which way wuz up when we first stawted bloggin’.  And those of you hoo befuriended us in da beginnin’.  We literally only knew 2 bloggers when we got stawted. But here in blogville newcomers awen’t kept at a distance, they’re accepted like a long lost child. You all wrapped your virtual awms wound us and supported us and helped us and showed us such amazin’ kindness and luv. Fur dat we will always be fankful.

As it is Fanksgivin’ we also wanna say a meowsy big Fank you too all ow Facebook furiends too. We wuz there afur here, and there awe so many wunnewful peeps hoo we luv sooo much. We wuz all set fur Fanksgivin’ as usual. A little poorer this year as mommy’s dwivin’ license had spired this year and hers didn’t know fur a kupple mumffs. So, almost $40.00 later, hers legal to dwive again. But ow car tags awe also due. Well weez not weally hav da munny wight now, so mommy’s waitin’ fur nex mumff and hope to get it wiffin da gwace pewiod.

Anyways, me wuz sayin’  dat we wuz all weady fur  ow nowmal Fanksgivin’ and today we got sum very sweet Fanksgivin’ cawds. A foo of meez fellow Cat Scouts sent us cawds and one of ow Facebook awnties sent us a cawd. Well in dat cawd there wuz a gift cawd fur us. Since awnty Ann just sent Lexi and me so many pawsum noms and mommy knew it wuld be okay, hers decided to spend a foo of da dollaws and get sumfin’ fur hers to eat and make ow Fanksgivin’ even better.  So mommy and me closed da puter and took off to da store and got da very last turkey tom lurkey da store had.  WooHoo weez eatin’ tommy turkey today.  Fank you so very much awnty Jennifer, gwand awnty Peggy, Moochie, Callie, smokey and Skittles.  Mommy’s always happy when weez got all we need, but yous made Lexi and meez day. Cuz weez happy mommy’s got sumfin’ too. And of course hers gunna share wiff us.

OMC OMC OMC Can you tell weez be weally ‘cited? Well we awe. Weez been duin’ da happy kitty dance since yesfurday. It kinda stawted out like any udder day. Well it did get cold on us again. (Yucky) Anyways back to da happy. So you all know we got a whole house full of Chewy boxes da udder day. Four to be exact. You know it cuz we posted ‘bout it. One of ow pawsum Facebook awnty’s sent them, and so we also posted on Facebook ‘bout it. And… well wait me needs to back up just a little. See we luv Chewy.com. Weez been shoppin’ there since afur we had a blog or even wuz on Facebook. We only got a “local” (45 minutes away) pet store a kupple years ago. So shoppin’ fwu da mail wuz sumfin’ mommy wuz used too. Da puter just makes it so much easier. (sumtimes too easy-MOL) Ow local store has purrawlems wiff bugs. You know, worms and weevils and moths and so many more. They get in da food and litter and tweats and everyfin’. OMC Well you can bet mommy wusn’t gunna feed us dat kinda stuffs, nor wuz she puttin’ dat in ow pawdee boxes. So she went in search of a place to get our supplies dat had a good purrice, good shippin; rates and a good reputation.

And……there wuz Chewy. They carried all ow noms, and ow litter, and of course ow tweats and so much more. And what do you know, their purrices wuz better than da “local” store. And shipping? Well let me tell you. They hav a very weasonable flat rate shippin’ charge and it’s furee ifin yous order is $49.00 or more, and they offered autoship. Well dat wuz it. Chewy wuz ow new supplies/pet store. And mommy just luvs ‘autoship’. Dat means she can set up an order of da fings we use constantly and hav them ship out wight afur we run out so we never run out. And anytime she needs to add sumfin’ to it or take sumfin’ away she can wiff da click of a button or a fone call. Or in da case of like now when awnty Ann sent us all dat pawsum food and litter, mommy can even delay a shipment wiff just anudder click of da button or fone call. And you all know meez mommy’s a night owl, but dat dusn’t matter, Chewy reps awe always there. And they awe just da nicest peeps. You can tell they all hav furries at home. So yous all wunnewin’ why in da world awe we writin’ a posty on Chewy wight? After all, lots of you alweady know ‘bout them. Well dat’s where ow todays Fankfull comes in. See since comin’ to da blogosphere and seein’ all da weview postys and such, weez wanted to do just dat owselves. After all, we luv twyin’ new stuffs. But just how duz one get in on dat? Well this is where ow wecent posty comes in. There wuz a comment fwum Chewy on ow Facebook posty and they wuz so sweet and also sed, ifin we needed anyfin’ let ‘em know. Hmmmmmm Mommy fawt.

Well, meez mommy’s one of those dat finks and then acts. So mommy calls up customer service and talks to a very nice young lady hoo gives hers an email addwess. Knowin’ me wuz alweady behind in meez visitin’ mommy sed she wuld help me visit a little afur hers got down to business. And yous know what happened? Outta da first 5 blogs we visited 2 of them wuz reviewin’ sum yummy noms fur Chewy. Sum of da noms weez been wantin’ to twy by da way. MOL So me told mommy to tell ‘em weez need to learn how to get hooked up like they awe. And do yous know what happened then? Miss Jan fwum da Funny Farm sent us an email addwess wiff a name attached. OMC Awe yous kiddin’ me? Fank yous so much Miss Jan. so of course mommy halted everyfin’ and shot over an email. Wiffin 5 minutes we heard back fwum ‘em. They checked us out and looked at ow pages and stuff and sed we wuz a gweat match. Well emails back and forff and yous now readin’ da blog of da newest Chewy.com weviewer. WooHoo We wuz so ‘cited weez been duin’ da happy kitty dance ever since.

What a Fanksgivin’ weez havin’, and what a Meow/Gotchaday mumff meez havin’. You know me kulda made fank ya’ postys all mumff and still not hav covered all da blessings we hav.

We had plans a while back to hav an adopt a kitty posty, and work wiff a rescue or shelter in ow awea. And by awea we meant sumwhere wiffin da 6 states dat surround us (Oklahoma). But fings didn’t quite go as planned, so after mullin’ it over a while we decided to ask ifin there wuz any rescues dat wanted to work wiff us. We don’t hav a huge blog followin’, at least not yet, but we do luv to help udders. After all just cuz we be purebreds dusn’t mean we didn’t need rescuin’. Weez told ow rescue stories afur and so you know dat boff sis Lexi and me wuz bound fur certain death ifin not fur mommy. And in meez case a pawsum rescue gwoup. Now we read sumwhere on one of yous bloggys last night (when mommy wuz half asleep) ‘bout a week of givin’ fanks, and a blog hop fur it. Altho’ at da moment mommys’ bwains awe still fwied and she can’t member where we came acwoss it. But you all know how much we like givin’ fanks. So even tho’ we awent’t joinin’ up wiff da blog hop we fawt we wuld give fanks anyways. And da first Fanks weez gunna list is of course ow mommy.
