Meowllo everypawdy, it’s already Wednesday. Y, Just da other day somepawdy was talkin’ ‘bout Christmas decorations. Dat could be very interestin’ ‘round here this year. Mommy’s never had a kitty play with da tree or da baubles on da tree. But she has a feelin’ Raena just might be dat kitty. Let me tell ya’ da girl’s into everything.
Sissy? What’s a tree bauble?
Well Raena, they’re balls, or other purretty glass knick knacks dat hang from da branches of a Christmas tree.
A whole tree of danglin’ toys? Really? I’s can’t wait till Christmas Dezi. (continues her morning bath while thinking about tree baubles)
No Raena, they’re not toys any more than mommy’s other knick knacks are toys.
Well ifin they’re not toys, then what’s da point of ‘em danglin’ there and temptin’ us?
Me doesn’t know Raena, we’ll have to ask mommy ‘bout dat. Me just knows dat we’re not ‘posed to play with them. Anyways, we’ve gotta wrap it up. It’s almost time fur da inspection. Da exterminator’s also ‘posed to be here and mommy doesn’t want us anywhere near da kitchen till she can clean up da mess he leaves behind. Mommy said it’s a good thing we don’t have bugs and dat she sprays fur herself cuz da exterminators soakin’ of da walls, fridge, oven, cabinet doors and middle of da floor doesn’t kill anythin’ but us and mommy. And while we may like water, there’s nuffin’ worse than bein’ snatched up and thrown into a bath cuz you happened to walk thru all dat poison. Mommys’ arms are wavin’ ’round in da air and she’s hollerin’ “danger danger, poison, poison,” and purrayin’ we didn’t get it in our mouth or dat it hasn’t soaked into our skin. Me knows all ‘bout dat from furst hand experience. We hope you all have a pawsum day.

Since Claire is born with cats, she has never had any breakable decoration. And we have a lot of fun un-decorating the tree and playing soccer with the ornaments ! Purrs

A small tree is wonderful for the girls. We have a few breakable baubles on the top of the tree or around the middle. The rest are bows and unbreakables. The bottom branches have stuffed baubles that are easy to bite and pull off. It is the girls Christmas too!

Yes, mommy says da only reason we even have a tree is cuz me and sis Lexi luvved to watch da lights. Hopefully Raena will be da same way, and all will be good.

Maybe your Mommy could get some unbreakable ornaments for the bottom of the tree. Or does Raena climb too? We had a cat who was good all day, then knock the balls down and play with them after we went to bed. Surprisingly, she never broke any.

MOL Well dat would be a good idea, but we have a small table top tree so it really wouldn’t matter. By Christmas it’s likely dat Raena will be bigger than our tree is, so she won’t be climbin’ it, but…we’ll see. All me really cares ’bout is da lights, so we can always not put any baubles on it.

Ooh, inspections and bug peoples! We understand about them! Sending prayers as usual! Mommy hasn’t had a Christmas tree since we moved here. She says we really don’t have room for one (now how’s that for “decluttering”). We do have a metal tree with metal leaves and sometimes we put stuff on the leaves, but right now it is holding up her necklace stuff.

Oh what an image of you finding out if Raena is “that kitty”. We are BOL/LOL We can’t have things hanging around here as they will land in mouths. Been a very long time since we’ve been able to have a tree and the last one we had was murdered by our full balls, accidentally of course in trying to get at all the baubles. 🙂 ❤

MOL Yeah mommy says she’s actually dreading it. Me luvs da Christmas tree lights so much tho’, so mommy purromissed she would take a chance. Sorry ya’ll don’t get to have a tree, maybe you can check out da ones outside.

Morris da cat of mom’s aunt was a christmas tree shredder. As soon as the tree was up, Morris was the furst christmas decoration on the tree . I’m sure in case Raena is “that” cat your mama will solve that problem with love and patience :o)

MOL Oh Easy dat was sooooo funny. Morris bein’ da furst decoration. MOL Me will be seein’ dat all season long. Me sure hopes mommy figgers somethin’ out cuz ifin sis Raena makes me miss out on me’s Christmas tree lights, me will give her da whacky paw of instruction and disappointment.

I gave up on glass ornaments halfway through Rom’s first Christmas … one year, I stuck silk poinsettias into the boughs, another I tied on ribbons… anything, as long as it wasn’t breakable or tinsel (he ate that — talk about a festive litter box!)

I had a whole box of antique glass ornaments from my grandparents…. the operative word is HAD. And you’re right, Raena looks like she could be like Rom.

Oh Meow how pawful. All of our Christmas stuffs was stolen years ago, so all we have are cheap dollar store decorations. But Raena is into everything and pushes all da boundaries like no other kitty befur. Altho’ she has calmed a bit in da last couple of days. We’re not sure ifin it’s gonna last (paws crossed it does) or ifin it’ll go away once she’s healed.

Yeah, us Ragdolls stay kittenish fur a lot of years. Mommy would just like to know dat Raena isn’t gonna hurt herself cuz she’s so spastic.
