Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. Guess what? There’s white stuff all over everything outside. I’s never seen anything like it. When we went to bed last night the ground was yellow and the tree leaves were all dead and brown and now everything’s white. Even the sidewalks we stroll on are white. I’s don’t know when or how it happened, but it seems to make it colder too. We fur sure purreciated that ‘lectric blanky last night.
All that white stuff is snow, Raena. And it definitely makes things colder. It’s pawful. Trust me, you don’t wanna go outside while it’s there.
That’s snow sissy? I’s thought only our Northern furiends got snow?.
Well Raena, they do, but we get some too. The difference is that they get lots and lots more than we do.
It’s still snowin’ and by the time we post, the whole ground will be covered.
But we needed a foto so we could post.
More? Oh Meow Maybe mommy will take us fur a stroll and I’s can check it out. Some of our furiends have meowed about goin’ out and playin’ in it.
Mommy ain’t takin’ us fur no snow strolls Raena. Ifin ya’ ask nicely, she might put your harness on and let you go out and touch it, but mommy hates snow as much as me. And besides, she took another really bad fall yesfurday tryin’ to get to the door fur our chewy box.
Oh sissy, that was a bad one. She cut her back on somethin’. Fankfully, she has us fur extra cuddles and luvvins.
Ya’ reckon mines harness will still fit? You know I’s gained a few pounds over the holidays?.
You sure did. Guess we’ll see soon enuff. Mommy has a doctors ‘pointment next week. Me’s sure it will still fit tho, you’re built a little different than me or even sis Lexi was. You have that long body that matches your tail and as humans would say, legs that go on furever.
Are you makin’ fun of me sissy?
No, me’s just tellin’ it like it is. You’re gonna be a long tall kitty girly. Y, Mommy was sayin’ just this meownin’ how when you stand on your back paws and reach up with your front ones, you can open da freezer. And we have da tallest fridge they make. Now lookit, we’ve babbled on ‘bout purractically nuffin’ today. Let’s wrap it up and go give mommy some more cuddles.

Fanky fanks. Mommy’s really sore. She can’t reach da cut on her back, so she can’t bandage it, but she did use a back scratcher with a rag to put some medicine on it. She says it hurts like a dickens, whatever dat means. And yes, I’s as big as sis Dezi and longer even. She’s just fatter than me. “What’s dat mommy?” Okay, um, Sis Dezi’s not fat, she’s just larger than me. MOL Sorry mommy.

I knew that in her photos, Raena was getting bigger, but had no idea how high she could reach!
How horrible that your mom had another bad fall – was this partially because the wheelchair is still in-op? Will this be corrected prior to that dr. apt.?!? If not, how in the world will you be able to get there.

Yeah, I’s a really long tall Sally mommy says. I’s not know why, cuz mines name is Raena not Sally, but mommy says it’s just an expression. (shakes head) There’s so much to learn. MOL
There’s no tellin’, mommy falls everyday, it just seems da bad ones are happenin’ more offen. And it’s purrobably partially due to da chair not workin’, but she’s also just clumsyu. And when da doctor cut her pain pills back cuz of da new laws, she’s in a lot more pain and havin’ more issues. Anyways, she’ll be okay, we can’t change any of da other stuffs. Big hugs

I know that gravity is a difficult thing to fight, but I meant that my worries were more general: lack of proper healthcare, due to governmental interference and/or lack of understanding of the situation; worry about icy roads and incompetent drivers (we see a lot of those in Florida), worry that you have friends who live close enough to check in on you and/or assist with things a kitty can’t do.
I have the same worries about my sister, who lives on the opposite corner of our country.

Fanky Fank ya’ awnty Jeanne. We don’t have any furiends, and so we hope mommy doesn’t lose her advantage purrogram and we can furinally find somepawdy who wants to work dat’ll help mommy out. Otherwise, it’s just us kittys and mommy. Mommy says she’s always been alone, but now dat she has us and all our furiends from da innernet, she’s not anymore. So we’ll just keep doin’ da bestest we can with what we have.

Bear is long like that too! You both are beautiful girls though. We hope your Mommy feels better soon … and you girls make sure she stays safe because we love her too. Snow is no fun, Raena … and here, it’s freezing too! Better to stay cuddled with Mommy and Dezi in the heated blankie 🙂

Hope your momma feels better after that fall! Most of the snow on the ground disappeared when the temps went up and the rains fell, but now we’ve got bitter cold. Makes me want to hug every kitty I see, especially my outdoor kitties. They have insulated shelter, and a warming pad too, but it still makes me sad to see them out there. Hopefully, one day, they’ll come up the stairs and come inside! Hope your snow goes away soon, Dezi and RaenaBelle!

Oh your poor mommy, we are sending some purrayers for her to fell better! Raena Bellw Trust me, You wouldn’t like to be out in the snow. My dad took me up to our vacation house in Maggie Valley NC , and during the night everything turned white. The trees had ice and snow on them. Our upstairs porches were all white and I wanted to go out and see it. Dad opened the door and I stepped out. That stuff was so cold it hurt my paws. I ran back in and that was enough for me. My doggie cousins went out in ’cause they don’t know about using litter boxes, but they only stayed out long enough to take care of “business”!

Oh, no, your poor mom! Sorry she had a bad fall. Jan isn’t big on falling. Flying is more her thing,but either way, a human can get badly hurt. Glad you are taking good care of her! Give her lots of cuddles and snuggles to keep her warm. It’s raining here. We’re expecting lots of ice. There were going to be several inches of snow but now that’s debatable. We hate the cold and wet. Take care.

Fanky fanks. Mommy doesn’t like fallin’ but hers just so clumsy sometimes. I’s don’t like da cold much and don’t really like da rain, but this snow and ice are all mew. I’s thinkin’ I’s should at least give ’em a try befur sayin’ I’s not like ’em fur sure. MOL Big hugs, Tell Jan to be careful with dat flyin’. It can be dangerous too.
