Hey dearest furiends, I’s sure hope you’ve all had a wonderful week. It’s storm season here in the South and the patch job they did on the power lines hasn’t held up very well. Yep, the power’s been off almost as much as it’s been on around here lately. I’s sure hope they get it fixed befur real summer hits, otherwise, we’re gonna burn up.

          Burn up? What does that mean sis? It doesn’t sound good that’s fur sure.

Not literally Zebby. At least I’s hope not. It just means that when summer gets here and the temps rise to over 100°, we’re fur sure gonna need power fur the air conditioner. Mommy gets a little crabby when she over heats. Trust me, ya’ don’t wanna see that. It’s worse than when she hasn’t had her morning coffee or when you jump on the kitchen counter. (Raena giggles as Zebby’s eyes get big as saucers thinking about a crabby mommy)

          Oh Kittens!!! Mommy’s pretty serious about that not getting on the counter thing isn’t she? I’s don’t see what the big deal is.

Well Zeb, nopawdy asked your opinion. It’s one of mommy’s rules and that’s good enough fur me. And, you better get with the program. I’s heard mommy telling her therapist that she was fixing to start your training.

          Really Raena? Is that what the ferret harness is fur? I’s heard mommy telling someone that I’s needed a ferret harness. I’s not sure what that is or why I’s would need one.

Yeah Zeb, that’s exactly what that’s fur. You’re too small to fit into even the smallest harness we have around here, so we have to get something you can fit into too. You can’t leave the house even fur a little stroll until you can be harnessed and safely latched into the stroller. Mommy doesn’t want to take any chances. And, while you may be annoying every once in a while, I’s do like having you around most of the time. It’s really nice to have a play mate. It’ll be even better once you can actually help me help mommy too.

Sure Zebby (Raena says while crossing her paws behind her back), who doesn’t luvs a harness?. Now, let’s talk about mine’s Gotchaday. June is mine’s gotcha month. Just like mommy adopted you, she adopted me. Five years ago, on the 8th of June, mommy saved me and brought me to live with her furever. Just like you, I was terrified at furst. But, as soon as mommy held me close, I’s knew everything was gonna be okay. Now, we had a big celebration fur mine’s birthday that you missed out on. So, fur mine’s gotchaday gift, I’s want you to promise not to jump on me fur the whole day. Instead of jumping on me, we can play with our toys and lay on our kitty mats and climb the cat trees. I’s bet mommy will even give us some treats. Deal?

         

          Uh, We already do all that sis. What’s in it fur me? And why didn’t we celebrate my gotchaday?

We will celebrate your gotchaday Zeb, next year. As fur what’s in it fur you? How about I’s don’t splat you flat. And, I’s’ll be nice to you tomorrow when you get home from Dr. Stabby and Grabby’s place.

          What? Dr. Stabby and Grabby? Why do I’s have go? I’s feeling fine. I’s don’t need to see no doctor.

They’re called kitten shots Zebby. You have to get ‘em every few weeks till your spa day.

          Spa day? What’s a spa day? Is it some kind of pawrty? Will I’s get presents? Do you have to give me a gift?

(Raena snickers) That’s a topic fur another time Zeb. Let’s wrap this up.
