Hey dearest furiends, it’s soooooooo good to see ya’ll. I’s gotta tell ya’, I’s wan’t so sure we’d actually be here today. Why you ask? Well, as most of ya’ know, Thursday was mommy’s birthday. It’s not like she had big plans or anything; but, she does like to spend it just enjoying us and watching movies on the tube. Well, things were going purretty well fur the most pawrt. We were under a tornado watch, it was storming outside a bit and hurricane Zebby was raging inside, but it wasn’t really a big deal. Till that is about 8:30 that evening. Mommy was just about to fix her something fur dinner. It was a balmy 90° when suddenly the power went out. A bolt of lightning sparked past that penetrated our blackout curtains and what followed was pure horror.

I’s fixing to tell Zebby. Quit interrupting me. (Raena shakes her head) The power flashed back on a minute later and then the loudest pop we’ve ever heard resulted in it going pitch black everywhere. Sure nuff, mommy tried to look outside, but there wasn’t any lights anywhere. She called the electric company and got a machine. Of course it was after hours, so she expected that, but what happened next, she didn’t expect. They said power would be back on some time the next day. What?!! Don’t they know it’s hot and humid right now? And, what about her dinner? I’s don’t think they cared on either account, but still…. By 2 a.m. mommy was naked as a newborn and sweating like a cat on a hot tin roof. Happy birthday mommy A. MOL

Yes Zebby it is. And, it couldn’t have happened at a worse time. Mommy couldn’t see a thing and was terrified you’d take a flying leap off the top in the dark. Thanky thankfully that didn’t happen. The power’s back now, but has been spotty fur the last couple of days. We think they patched it till they could do a real fix. We’re just glad to have a/c again. Anyways, tomorrow is Memorial day and we fur sure wanna recognize all those soldiers who died to keep so many safe and free. I’s think ifin those soldiers could see what’s going on right now, they’d not even recognize our great country. However, we are so grateful fur their service. We recognize the sacrifice they made. There isn’t another country on this planet as great as the U.S.A.. I’s with mommy and don’t understand what’s so happy about it, so, we wish everyone a Blest Memorial day.

          I’s thankful to be safe and free too Raena. We’re so Blest. Is it time fur Sunday Selfies with the Kitties Blue?
