Hey dearest furiends, it’s really good to see you. I’s gotta tell ya’, I’s wasn’t sure ifin the winds and storms were ever gonna let up. But alas, they have…at least fur the moment. Mommy says that’s just pawrt of living in the South and Tornado alley.

          Alley? I’s thought you said we lived in an apartment Raena?

We do Zebby. Tornado alley is what the humans call the states that are prone to tornados. Anyways, it’s not like you need to worry about these things. Mommy will always take care of us. Now, where was I? Oh yeah. We keep getting pm’s and emails asking about whether or not we’re getting along, and how things are going. Mommy said she’ll be writing a posty about it soon fur our Service Cat Fridays. In the meantime, she wanted us to assure everypawdy that we really are getting along well. There’s no hissing or growling and not much in the way of whacky paws. At least not on mine’s pawrt. The boy, is still too small to truly be put in his place. But, rest assured, I’s will be letting him know just who is in charge shortly.

Sure Zebby…fur today. (Raena snickers slyly) Now, let’s get to our Blessings befur the storms start up again and mommy makes us turn off the computer. And stop jumping on me, it’s annoying.

          But Raena, it’s so much fun.

Well Zebby, we have plenty of toys fur you to play with and jump on.

          I’s know. I’s found this great bag and a fluffy bitey that’s bigger than me. And, I’s found this climby thing. Kittens, do all our furiends have these kinds of things where they live?

The climby thing is a tree Zebby. And, yeah, most of our furiends have trees and toys too.

          A tree? It doesn’t look much like the trees outside Raena.

Yeah Zebby, it’s not that kind of tree. It’s a tree fur us indoor kitties. It allows us to enjoy climbing and scratching all from the safety of our living room. Meowing of scratchers. It’s a good thing you finally figured out where you were supposed to be scratching. I’s don’t think mommy’s legs could take much more.

          Well, they sure are fun. And yes, who knew I’s could find so many places to scratch and stretch my muscles.

Well, just remember, mommy’s legs and her chair aren’t among them. She allows a lot of things, but those 2 things are not on the list. It’s kind’a like the bitey thing. We’re really Blest kitties, but we do have a few rules.

          Rules? I’s not sure I’s want to have rules Raena.

Yeah Well, nopawdy asked you Zebby. And, trust me, the life you’ll have here is worth having a few rules. In exchange fur those rules, you’ll know Blessings like a roof over your head, a full belly, a luvving mommy, luvving and caring furiends, awnties and uncles, and, toys galore. Now, remember what I’s taught you last week?
