Hey dearest furiends are ya’ keeping cool? We’re still having a heat wave, but that’s normal this time of year. We’ve got burn bans all over, so no bar-b-queing allowed. Not that we would anyways, cuz mommy’s not so good at that sort of stuff. Rumor has it, she almost caught her house on fire years ago trying to start up a grill. Anyways, have ya’ seen the price of human food lately? Not that our foods are any cheaper. I’s heard mommy placing the order fur our foods just the other day. She was almost in tears, and not the good kind.

 

          What are you meowing about RaenaBelle? I’s heard her say the duck was on sale. And, they had just got rabbit back in stock the day she ordered. I’s think it’s the shipping charges she doesn’t like.

 

You’re right about the shipping charges Zebby, but I’s still think she thinks they overcharge. We live in a world where it seems everypawdy is out to get theirs and then some. Mommy says everypawdy’s got their hands in her pawckets, and there isn’t anything there to be had. Even the lint is gone. I’s glad we don’t have pawckets. You know she’d been saving up fur her glasses, and almost had enough to get ‘em, when lo and behold, she had to renew her drivers license.

 

          Yeah, that wasn’t fun. She didn’t even know they’d expired until she went to the pharmacy to get her medicine and they asked fur her new one. She was like, “What new license? What do you mean it’s expired?” And apparently, there are now “real” licenses and “regular” licenses. It’s funny how the regular one has been sufficient proof all these years of who she is and now suddenly, it’s no longer valid. Mommy chose not to get the “real” one and settled fur just the plain one. And, instead of paying $50.00 fur 4 years, she chose to bite the bullet and pay $80.00 fur 8 years. So, she’s all good fur a while now. At least we hope so.

 

Yeah Zeb, real and regular. What is this world coming too? Anyways, we wanted to thanky thank awnty Brenda and awnty Anonymous fur the green papers. Mommy says we’re gonna try to save fur her glasses again. We haven’t given up hope on a car either. After all, miracles do happen.

 

          Hey RaenaBelle, the lady in the box (alexa) announced that tomorrow is World Cat Day. What exactly does that mean?

 

It’s a reminder to celebrate us kitties Zebby. You know some people have to be reminded. Thanky thankfully, mommy celebrates us all the time. As do all of our furiends and their peeps. We’re all so Blest. Can you imagine what it would be like to have a human who needs to be reminded how special you are?

 

          Yeah Raena, I’s can. It wasn’t that long ago I’s was trapped in a cage waiting to see if I’s had a future or not thanks to one of those kinds of humans. So I’s really know how Blest we are.
