Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. WoooooooWhee You should’a seen the winds we had yesfurday, they whipped us all over the road. Mine’s furs was blowin’ in the wind so much that by the time we got home, I’s looked like a scraggly stray. Mommy didn’t look much better. She had knots on top of knots in her head furs.

          Yeah Raena, ya’ll were quite a sight. Me was worried ‘bout ya’ll. The wind here was whippin’ things ‘round outside and me could hear all kinds of noises and bangs on the house and windows. Me was so happy to see ya’ll and fur us to be all together and safe. But what happened? Ya’ll came home without mommy’s new denture, yet again?.

Well sissy, you know mommy’s been tellin’ ‘em all along that the wax mold they’ve been givin’ her to try in didn’t fit and sure ‘nuff, when they made that denture based on the wax model it didn’t fit. Y, when mommy put it in, it just fell right back out. So, they’re havin’ to remake it yet again. Hopefully, it’ll be right next week. There was yet another new dentist there yesfurday. Mommy didn’t like him at all. ‘Course, it doesn’t really matter; the dentists don’t have anythin’ to do with the denture pawrt. That’s all on these untrained assistants. Anyways, our assistant, Patrick, told mommy all ‘bout this new smarty pants fone he got fur the cheap. Ya’ know, mommy’s been thinkin’ ‘bout movin’ us into this century and gettin’ us a smarty pants fone. 

 

          Well, did ya’ll get one Raena?

Not yet, sissy. We did go by the place and check ‘em out. Seems they could give mommy one of those smarty pants fones fur furee and get us all set up fur the same price she pays fur our non smarty pants fone. And, the fureebie is even big enuff that mommy can see it. Y, she could even learn to text. All she’d have to do is talk to it and it could type all by itself.

 

          MeOW  That does sound like a purretty smart fone, Raena. Ya’ reckon it could unnerstand our meows and help us write our own blogs? Ya’ know, on the days when mommy feels bad?

I’s bet it could sissy. We tried it out in the store and mommy and the clerk got a big o’l laff when I’s meowed and it typed somethin’. Since I’s can’t read, I’s don’t know ifin it translated mine’s meow as good as mommy does tho’. Besides, I’s like writin’ our postys with mommy. The smarty pants fones are purretty cool, but I’s wouldn’t trade mommy in fur one. 

 

          Me either Raena. But, it would be nice to have one. Me hopes mommy decides to go back and get it. What else did ya’ll do yesfurday? 

 

Nuffin’, sissy, After meowin’ ‘bout smarty pants fones, we came straight home. We missed you. And hopefully, we can get some visits in today. I’s miss what’s goin’ on with all our furiends too. And, all the x’citement that’s goin’ on outside. All the birdies are out and I’s even saw a squirrel this meownin’.

Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. Sissy, what happened to Spring? I’s thought everypawdy said it was furinally here? It’s all yucky and cold and stormy out there. I’s want Mr. Sunshine to come back.

          We all do, Raena. Unfurtunately, we’re still in fur some cold weather. Y, Did you see that the weather guessers said that we were in fur a fureeze this week? 

 

Yep sissy, I’s saw that. And, ya’ know mommy’s done took the ‘lectric blanky off the bed. Guess we’ll just have to do some extra close cuddlin’ till it warms up. Mommy said she wasn’t puttin’ the ‘lectric blanky back on the bed, no matter what. 

 

          Yeah Raena…me luvs the ‘lectric blanky. But, me luvs cuddlin’ with mommy even more. Surely Spring’s gonna be here soon. Till then it’s cuddles a’purrlenty fur us. We’re also in fur high winds, so when you and mommy go out to the doctor and dentist this week, ya’ll better be careful.

Fanky fanks sissy. You know mommy’s always careful when we’re in the car. Meowin’ of goin’, I’s gotta get ready to go with mommy today. But, did you see what we got in the mail yesfurday? 

 

          Me did Raena. Did you call Alberto and invite ‘em over fur a play date yet? 

 

Well, no sissy, I’s thought you would do that. You’re the oldest after all. And we all know how much you luvs the fone.

          Okay Raena, me will ask them. We had great fun the last time they were here, this time’s gonna be really somethin’, me just knows it.

 

Me too, sissy. I’s can’t wait. Guess I’s better go finish mine’s brekky and get ready to go with mommy. We’ve been gettin’ really late starts these past couple of weeks. We’ve gotta work on gettin’ mommy to go to bed befur 5 a.m.. Us kitties ain’t s’posed to be awake that many hours a day.

Blest Resurrection Sunday: The Greatest Blessing Ever

RaenaBelle, hurry up!!! Do you know what today is? It’s Resurrection Sunday!!! Today’s the most Blest Sunday there is. We celebrate the fact that Jesus rose from the dead all those years ago so that all could be saved from their sins and spend eternity in heaven ‘stead of hell. No greater Blessing has ever been given.

          You’re right sissy. It’s purretty amazin’ that God could luvs this world so much that He would send Jesus to die fur us. A world so full of turmoil and evil. Even so, He saw the good and wanted to make sure that everypawdy had the oppurrtunity to turn away from their evil ways and be what He created them to be; children of God.

Yep Raena, that’s some kind of luv alright. You know, we’re always meowin’ that Blessings come in many forms, all ya’ have to do is take a minute to see ‘em. Each day is a Blessing that no one is guaranteed. The very air that we breathe, even the storms we don’t like are Blessings. As most everpawdy knows, we’ve been really goin’ thru it lately. But, no matter how bad things may look, there’s always a Blessing to give fanks fur.

          Fur sure sissy. We’ve got a pawsum luvvin’ mommy, a roof over our heads, good food in our bellehs, the greatest furiends in the universe and a new day to meow ‘bout how much we luvs everypawdy. Ya’ know sissy, I’s was kind’a wonderin’ just what this Easter bunny and huntin’ colored eggs have to do with anythin’?.

Well Raena, they don’t really have anythin’ to do with the resurrection of Jesus; but, the bunny and those colored eggs symbolize furtility and new beginnings. These were symbols used by the pagans of old and just got incor-purrated into Resurrection Sunday a long long time ago. We don’t actually celebrate that way, but lots of peeps do. Mommy says when she was younger, Easter also meant that she got a new dress fur church and peeps in general could put away their old dark wintry clothes and start wearin’ pastels and whites. Did you know there was a time when nopaawdy wore white till Easter time each year?

          Humans sure have some strange customs, sissy. Guess we would’a been outta fashion what with all our white furs. Anyways, it doesn’t really matter how one celebrates today, we purray that you all have a Blest Resurrection Sunday/Easter.

 

We sure do Raena. And meowin’ of Blessings, we received a few material ones this past week that we need to give fanks fur. Fank you awnty Susan fur the green papers. They are always purreciated.

          Yep sissy, and fanky fank ya’ to awnty Cindy and angel Maggie Meme fur the pawsum boxes. They were full of yummy goodies. The foto doesn’t show everythin’. There was 2 full boxes of goodies. Mommy even shared a string cheese with me. I’s do luvs me some cheese. MOL Not as much as I’s luvs rabbit, but it’s fur sure in mine’s top ten fave foods.

 

And did you see those cutesy little socklettes they sent to mommy, Raena? She luvved ‘em.

 

          And don’t furget the green papers, sissy. They wanna help us get to BlogPaws almost as much as we wanna go.

We’ve got our paws crossed that’s fur sure. Anyways, we need to wrap this up. It’s the last day of Campmeetin’ at our church. We are fur sure the most Blest kitties in the universe. Fank you all fur bein’ our furiends and pawrt of our family. We luv you all and purray that God will meet your every need. As always, we wanna remind you to take a minute today and every day to give Thanks fur the Blessings in your lives.

Raena: Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. Storms, storms go away and don’t come back any day.

          Dezi: Uh Raena, me doesn’t think you’ve got that sayin’ right?. Not that it matters, just meowin’ somethin’ isn’t gonna make it happen.

Are you sure sissy? Mommy says the Bible says “ask and you shall receive.” (Mt. 7:7) 

 

          Oh Raena, (Dezi shakes her head) furst, you’re paraphrasin’ that scripture. But, more ‘purrtantly, that’s not what it means. And, since ya’ paraphrased it, you missed the most ‘purrtant pawrt, ‘bout askin’ in Jesus name. But really it means spiritual things and really ‘purrtant stuffs, like healin’ and things. While me might not care fur the storms any more than you do, they’re typical in the area we live. And, while it might mean we don’t get to go fur strolls, the ground and farmers who farm the land, really need the rain. Summer’s comin’ and you’ll be complainin’ ‘bout the heat in no time. Besides, you got to get out yesfurday with mommy and go to the dentist.

I’s did sissy, but that wasn’t any fun. Mommy furgot to put a towel down in the new stroller and I’s got all wet. Fanky fankfully, she had some paper towels in the car so she was able to dry us both off. And as usual, the nasty peeps at Aspen Dental did mommy dirty again. It’s a real shame, cuz we had just met a new dental assistant that mommy really liked. He’s ex military and really nice. Mommy says she really ‘purreciated how nice and respectful he is.

          Wish me could have met him. Did ya’ll make sure to fank him fur his service Raena? 

 

Of course we did, sissy. We never miss an oppurrtunity to fanky fank those who serve our Country and fight to keep us safe. I’s thought he might cry when he told mommy the office manager said they didn’t want mommy to come back and they weren’t gonna make her lower denture. He said they were tired of mommy wantin’ them to do things right and to make mommy’s denture look good and fit propurrly.

          So, after upsettin’ mommy and tellin’ her that she still owed $800.00 and makin’ her sign a new contract; due to their incompetence, they’re voidin’ their own contract? These peeps just don’t know when to stop. (Dezi shakes her head)

Yep sissy, I’s thinkin’ the same thing. ‘Specially since in all this time mommy hasn’t lost her tempurr not once. No screamin’, callin’ peeps names or cursin’. They have no idea how lucky they are to have never known mommy’s wrath. We’ve gotta go back next week to hopefully pick up mommy’s upper denture. We’re sure purrayin’ hard that it fits this time. And hopefully, mommy can find somewhere else to go to finish all this up. It sure has been an ordeal and quite furankly, we’re all tired of it. Anyways, let’s finish brekky and see ifin mommy will let us play with our hexbugs. Since they run off batteries and not ‘lectricity, mommy has no reason to keep ‘em from us. And hopefully these storms will pass soon and we can visit all our furiends.
