Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. Kittens Are we ever gettin’ a late start today.

When ya’ think ‘bout it Raena, it’s not all that late. Ya’ know it is fur peeps who go to bed befur midnight, but fur those of us who don’t see bedtime till 5 or 6 in the meownin’, we’re actually gettin’ ‘round early.

Hmmmm Ya’ might be right sissy. I’s’ll have to think on that one a bit. Did you see mommy jump when I’s came back to bed after goin’ to the pawtty this meownin’? The floor was soooooo cold, and mine’s paw toesies were fureezin’. I’s could feel the heat radiatin’ off mommy, so I’s wriggled unner the covers and stuck mine’s paw toesies right up against mommy’s warm skin. I’s don’t know why she jumped like that. Ifin I’s hadn’t been so cold, it might’ve scared me.

Me thinks your cold paw toesies are zactly why she jumped, Raena. Anyways,, did you see where the weather guessers are sayin’ it’s gonna warm up tomorrow? Yesfurday was 11°, today’s 20° and they’re sayin’ it might well be a whole 70° tomorrow. That’d be purrime strollin’ weather. And on Valentine’s day no less.

Valentine’s day? What does that have to do with the weather and strollin’ sissy?

Well, nuffin’ me guesses, but Valentine’s day is the day of luv. What better way fur mommy to show us she luvs us that to take us fur a stroll.?

You better not step on me Raena.

I’s could sure go fur a stroll sissy. I’s so tired of bein’ cooped up. But, I’s thought mommy showed us she luvved us all the time. I’s know I’s sure feel luvved when she pets me, and holds me, and sings to me, and brushes mine’s fur, and cleans mine’s eyes, and tells me so. I’s even felt her luvs this meownin’ when she warmed up mine’s paw toesies.

Well of course mommy shows us she luvs us all the time Raena, but still, a nice stroll out in the furesh air would just be one more way she can show us.

I’s all fur that sissy. Are we gonna do anythin’ special fur her?

Well Raena, that was always sis Lexi’s depawrtment. She was good at knowin’ the right thing to do at the right time to make mommy feel special. Me sure wishes she was here now.

Well sissy, you know how much mommy luvs us purrin’ and givin’ her massages. Maybe we could do a few extra. And, maybe we can play nice all day tomorrow. I’s know fur sure she’d luv that. She always smiles so big when we play together nicely. She says it’s good to see you havin’ fun again.

Yeah, mommy does seem pawfully happy when me runs ‘round and plays. And, there’s a couple of shows comin’ on that mommy’s been wantin’ to watch. Maybe we can let her actually watch the whole show without buggin’ her. Yep, it’s settled Raena, that’s what we’ll do fur mommy fur Valentine’s day. You’re purretty good at comin’ up with plans.

Y, Fanky fanks sissy, that’s one of the nicest things you’ve said ‘bout me. We better go get ready fur all those extra massages and purrs we’re gonna give mommy. Maybe we oughtta have a short nap furst.

MeOW Raena, me’s not sure we oughtta go eat yet. Don’t you sense something’s up?

I’s do sissy, but I’s hungry. I’s know mommy was tryin’ to do some hurried cleanin’ last night. I’s don’t know why she’d hurry like that. Doesn’t she know by now she passes out more when she hurries than when she takes her time? And, she’s in the middle of some of that de-clutterin’ and has stuffs every where.

That’s what me’s meowin’ ‘bout Raena. She only does things like that when she doesn’t get purropurr notice fur inspections, but can’t be sure that it’s not the government that’s comin’ ‘stead of the ‘pawrtment manager.

I’s don’t know why she bothers. Doesn’t she always say the law says they have to give her at least 24 hours notice befur such things? Surely she won’t let ‘em in ifn we’re eatin’ our brekky?.

Ya’ never know what mommy’s gonna do Raena. Me thinks we oughtta wait and see befur stickin’ our faces in our plates and chowin’ down. Hey, did you see that show mommy watched last night ‘bout those peeps marryin’ total strangers?

Hmmmpht That’s nuffin’. Did you see that she was gonna apply to be on the show and marry her own stranger? ‘Pawrently they’re gonna be filmin’ in Dallas soon. Ifin she hadn’t been too old, we could’a had one of those daddy’s some of our furiends have.

He would’a been a stranger, Raena. What ifin he didn’t like kitties? It’s not like mommy would’a been able to purr-screen him and find out ahead of time.

Thought you might enjoy seein’ mine’s belly stretch.

Mommy said there was a spot fur deal breakers on the application, sissy. I’s sure she would’a said he had to luvs us and purrvide fur us in the manner befittin’ queens and empresses.

Hmmmmm You’re right ‘bout that. Are you sure mommy’s too old? What’s that she’s always sayin’ ‘bout it bein’ rude to ask a woman’s age? Did you get the address of that website. Maybe we can still get mommy approved. On a good day with her make up on and her hair fixed mommy can still pass fur someone in her late 30’s, early 40’s.

Mommy says I’s have the cutest belly ever. What do you think?

Yeah, but that’s still too old sissy.

Y, That’s discrimination, Raena. Me’s sure there’s lots of old folks out there that would like to have their own stranger to marry. Me’s sure mommy isn’t the only one. We’ll just fudge her age a bit. One she’s married, it’ll be too late to back out. (Dezi snickers deviously) And, we’d get to move. That’d mean no more surpurrise inspections.

I’s not so sure that’s a good idea, sissy. You know mommy hates lyin’. While she might not wanna admit to how old she is, I’s purretty sure anythin’ that starts with a lie can’t end up good.

Whatever. Me’s gettin’ hungry. Ya’ think we oughtta go try to sneak a few bites?

Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. Ya’ll ain’t never gonna believe what we got yesfurday.

Raena, we were gonna save that fur Blest Sunday. You know, that’s when we post our thank yous and blessings.

I’s know, but since I’s usin’ it, I’s thought it would be nice to mention it today, at least.

You’re right, it is pawfully comfurtable. But hurry, we need to get to that meme thing we were gonna do today.

Okay, sissy. So, as I’s was meowin’ befur I’s was so rudely innerrupted…

Raena, be nice.

Anyways, Ya’ll ‘member the cool cat shelf we reviewed and gave away from Art of Paws? Well, we also gave away a couple of heated pet mats from the same company. Based on all the comments, it seemed really pawpular. We hadn’t actually gotten to try the mat cuz when we met Maya and her cats, they didn’t ship it to the U.S.. But, as mommy always says, patience is a virtue and good things come to those who wait.

Me doesn’t think it goes like that Raena. Me thinks you’ve got a couple meowin’s mixed up.

Just who’s meowin’ the story here, sissy? Anyways, as time went on, Maya started bein’ more like our awnty than some big ole company. ‘Course, maybe that’s cuz she ain’t no big ole company. After all, it is just her and her four kitties runnin’ the company from their home across the pond. Anyways, after wrappin’ up our give aways and passin’ winner’s infurmation along, we fanky fanked Maya and the kitties fur their generosity. And then, yesfurday the fedex man arrived with a box just fur us. Can ya’ guess what was in it? Sure ‘nuff, awnty Maya and the Art of Paws kitties sent us our very own heated mat. It’s even more furtabulous than we had ‘magined it would be. Fanky fank ya’ awnty Maya, Paisley, Smudge, Agyle and Bailey. With all the colds, it sure is comin’ in handy. Even mommy’s a bit jealous at how comfy it looks.

We are very fankful awnty Maya, and we luv our new heated mat. Me reckons ya’ll will be seein’ lots more of our mat as the colds get colder. Now, our stunnin’ furiend CK has been doin’ this thing she calls memes. We’re not so good at those, but we do luv meowin’ ‘bout ourselves. So, CK has posted 20 questions fur us to answer. Ifin enuff of us play along, she’ll make this a regular thing. You can purrticipate by postin’ it on your bloggy and linkin’ back to CK or you can post your answers here in the comments. 1. What was the last thing you put in your mouth? Raena. Nah, me’s just kitten ya’, really it was me’s brekky.

3. Worst pain you ever felt? That has to be when me was spayed. Me hurt so bad, me actually bit right thru mommy’s thumb, nail and all.

4. Favorite place you’ve traveled? BlogPaws in Nashville Tennessee. What a trip. Just me and sis Lexi and mommy in a furiegn land. MOL

5. How late did you stay up last night? 5 a.m. as usual.

6. If you could move, where to? Anywhere, so long as mommy and Raena are there. And, we’d luv to move. Just meowin’.

7. What do you collect? Hugs and kisses

8. Which of your blogging friends lives the closest? Hmmmmm Well, we’re really not sure. We’re purrobably ‘bout the same distance from our furiends Travis in Texas as we are our furiends from Prancer Pie here in Oklahoma. Ifin anypawdy’s closer, give us a shout out.

9. Amusement park or concert? Amusement Pawrk of course. We luv goin’ fur rides.

10. When was the last time you cried? Last night. Me was missin’ sis Lexi.

11. Who took your header photo? Mommy of course. She’s the only one with thumbs.

12. Who’s the last person you took a picture with? Mommy, of course. It’s just the three of us.

13. What’s your favorite season? Anytime I’s can go fur a stroll or get purresents.

14. If you could have any career, what would it be? I’s already have several. I’s a Service Cat that helps mommy. I’s a blogger/writer. And I’s the Princess of our manor. Really I’s the Queen, but let’s not upset sissy, k?.

15. Do you think relationships are ever worth it? I’s not sure what kind’a relationship you be meowin’ ‘bout. The one I’s have with mommy is fur sure worth it, as is the one I’s have with sis Dezi. Seems the boycats ain’t all that innerested in me, so I’s can’t meow ‘bout that.

16. If you could talk to anyone right now who would it be? I’s hear our furiend Nellie was quite good at ketchin’ the mencats hearts. Maybe ifin I’s could meow with her, I’s could break a few hearts mine’s self.

17. Are you a good influence? Most definitely, I’s a true Southern Belle. Pawlite, sweet, good natured, and (looks around and whispers) gawjus.

18. Does pineapple belong on pizza? Does that come from a cow? I’s an obligate carnivore, so I’s think only meats and some cheese, I’s do like cheese. Anyways, no pineapples fur me.

19. You have the remote, what are you watching? Oh Kittens!!! There’s so many good shows to watch. I’s think I’s would purrobably watch mine’s cousins the lions.

20. Whom do you think will play along? This has been really fun. I’s hope everypawdy plays along.

MeOW RaenaBelle, you sure are spoilt rotten. It’s me’s turn to lay in mommy’s lap. You’re always hoggin’ it, like it’s your own.

Like, it’s mines? There ain’t no like ‘bout it sissy, mommy’s lap is all mine’s. Haven’t you ever heard of furst come furst served? Or finders keepers, losers weepers?. I’s was here furst, so mommy’s lap belongs to me by default.

That’s the most ridiculous thing me’s ever heard, Raena. Haven’t you ever heard of share and share again? Or, sharin’ is carin’? Me does believe that’s mommy’s meowntra. After all, me had to share me’s cat tree, me’s nip nanner and everythin’ else with you when you came to live here. Ifin we we’re goin’ by your rules, you’d have nuffin’. And me does mean a big ole fat nuffin’. Me was here furst and mommy was me’s mommy furst.

Fine sissy, just a few more minutes, okay? Can’t you see mommy’s takin’ fotos of me?

Me wants to take fotos too, Raena. Just hurry up.

(Raena stretches her paw towards mommy’s face and quietly mews as she gets down and heads for the new powerchair) I’s sure do luvs you mommy.

(Dezi stand sideways in front of mommy’s chair so she can be picked up to lay in mommy’s lap.) Me luvs you, mommy. Lots more than Raena does. You know, me’s luvved you longer. Purrlease, cover the red flash befur ya’ take the next foto, mommy. There now, that’s better. (After a few photos, the wind blows the leaves around outside and something hits the door. Dezi jumps up and heads for the cat tree to look out.) That’s enuff fotos mommy, me has to check out what’s goin’ on outside. It’s turned cold again, so ya’ never know what might be tryin’ to get inside. Besides, we’ve got purrlenty of visitin’ to ketch up on. We can’t spend every day lazin’ ‘round.
