We Need Your Prayers

Well here we are just 2 more days till Christmas. Can you believe it? It’s been a crazy year here and has gone by so fast. Too fast really. As most of you know sis Lexi was diagnosed with CKD last January and it has been a roller coaster ride since then. Furst there was da trying to find foods she kuld eat dat she wuld eat. And not just once, but again and again. Overnight sissy went from da kitty who ate anyfin’ what didn’t eat her furst to bein’ as finicky as me. Talk ‘bout furustratin’ fur mommy. It sure is. And ifin CKD isn’t bad enuff, those same kitties are prone to other issues as well. So you never know what kind of day you’re gunna have from minute to minute.

You know since goin’ to BlogPaws sissy’s been duin’ purretty good. She’s had a few bad days, but mostly good. Mommy was hopin’ to ride dat high fur at least another year. But yesfurday sissy didn’t eat much bweakfastt afur she was off to have a meownin’ nap. Mommy didn’t worry too much cuz she had eaten a really big dinner da night afur. But later yesfurday afternoon, Lexi suddenly started pacin’ da floor and meowin’ her dispurrleased low yeowl. And then she threw up what little she did eat fur bwekky. Oh but it didn’t stop there. She then climbed in da litter box and only sprinkled a little. And what she sprinkled was nuffin’ more than blood drops. Yep, weez on da roller coaster and zoomin’ downhill. Yep UTI’s are commonplace in CKD kitties and sissy has another one. And yep, again da VET was out of reach. Yes we know we need a new VET but it’s not dat easy. Since we don’t have any where we live and have to dwive a good distance, we have to make sure we kuld get there ifin there was a real mergency. We have now twied all da VETs in da town wiff our current VET so now weez gotta start checkin’ a few other towns round us which of course takes time, money and gas. Sumfin’ we don’t have at da moment.

Mommy sez she dusn’t know which is worse, da kidney disease or all da illnesses and issues dat occur because of it. And of course everytime sissy takes a down turn, mommy gets terrified dat she won’t bounce back this time. So yesfurday she was hollerin’ at God and tellin’ Him dat He kuldn’t have Lexi yet, and dat she kuldn’t go thru another Christmas loss.  10 years ago sissy and mommy lost Lucky on Christmas and Ransom 5 years ago a little afur Thanksgivin’. Sissy posted an update on da fundraiser and we wuld purreciate any help you can give. We wanna say a meowsy big Thank you to all who have helped so far. We’ll fur sure keep you posted as to how sissy be duin’. We wuld also purreciate your purrayers.

You know this disease is pawful and altho it’s more common in older kitties, it can affect younger ones as well. While mommy was cleanin’ all da mess and dealin’ wiff sis Lexi one of meez fellow scouts made a purrayer request post at scouts. Meez furiend Mau from da Kitties Blue, you know da Sunday Selfie’s kitties; well hims sisfur Fiona was just diagnosed with CKD. At only 5 years old, this news has devastated da furmily. Purrlease send sum purrayers Fiona’s way too. They are tryin’ to stabilize her so they can come up wiff a treatment plan. Purrlease go by and share sum luv wiff them.

Neever of us awe ready to lose our sisfurs. Mommy sez we will enjoy Christmas and won’t accept sissy not bein’ here to share it wiff us. Welkum Sunday, we’ve had so many blessings this week. We have received so many beautiful Christmas cards thru da mail and e-mail. Mommy’s twyin’ to help me make a purretty with them so we can post ‘em all on Christmas Eve. Each one came with da most wunnerful wishes fur da holiday season and da New Year. Weez a little behind ad haven’t got all our Christmas wishes out yet, but will be wrappin’ dat up this week.

Now You all member me tellin’ ya’ ‘bout dat hot rod scratcher mommy finagled fur me? She went back over da email to see what was said and altho’ me can’t use it in da derby at Cat Scouts, me will be postin’ it there purr our purromise to receive it. But meez also gunna be showin’ it to you all today. Mommy finally took off da wrapper and let me have it. OMC it’s sooooo cool. Da racin’ stripes make me feel like a Mario Andretticat.

Me also wants to send out a meowsy big Thank you to awnty and cousins Anonymous who sent us a gift card. Mommy’s gunna be getting’ a paw purrint kit to make paw purrints of sis Lexi and me. She’s so ‘cited ‘bout bein’ able to do dat. Me also wants to Thank awnty Sylvie, Cleo, Mika and Patteron. They sent us a little package dat mommy sez is fur Christmas, so we can’t see it or have it yet. And a meowsy big Thank you to awnty Belinda fur donatin’ to sis Lexi’s care fund. Weez both doin’ good right now. We be eatin’ well and playin’ and workin’ and luvvin’ mommy, each other and life and all of you. Blest Sunday Thank Yous

Meowllo and welkum to another issue of Blest Sunday, where we have da oppurrtunity to list a few of our many blessings. We luv our blest Sunday postys so much. As most of you know, last week was a tuff one. We entered da month of November wiff sum unexpected expenses and sum extra expenses dat we just didn’t have da money to cover. We hated to have to ask you our wonderful furiends fur help, ‘specially since it’s right here at da holidays. We know times are tuff fur everyone but we just didn’t know what else to do. Mommy had thought, figgered and re-figgered and just kuldn’t find da money anywhere. She’s already cut any and all extras and quite a few necessities just to manage our normal expenses. So after much thought, purrayer and tears, we came to you. And you all came fru fur us.

We got our Chewy box wiff our noms and litter and pH testers just in time. Mommy called round ‘bout da tire, but of course nopawdy round here had any in stock. We figgered this wuld be da case, as we had to order da last one we had replaced. While chattin’ wiff one of da cheapest places mommy was told dat ifin she bought 3 tires (which we need cuz they are all rotting) we kuld get a deal and they wuld only cost $60.00 each or we kuld buy da 1 tire dat must be replaced immediately fur $105.00 plus da $22.00 state taxes and fees. Mommy went out on a limb, took a leap of fath, and told them to order da 3. She sed it seemed kinda foolish to pay fur 1 tire what 2 kuld cost.

Me knows you’re all on da edge of you’re seats wonderin’ how me be duin’ now dat we have da testers fur meez urine, right? Da furst thing mommy did after openin’ da box, and me usin’ da pawdee box of course, was test meez urine. And da results are in. Meez urine is……………At a Normal pH range!!! WooHoo It’s working!!! Meez new diet, increased hydration and all da purrayers are working. You can read part 1 of our series on Sterile Cystitis here, and this week we’ll be talkin’ ‘bout meez new food and supplements and da steps we are takin’ to relieve any stress me may be havin’ so stay tuned.

We also wanted to tell you all ‘bout da Winnie’s Wish auction. As you know weez not have money to donate and therefur usually have nuffin’ to donate. But a while back we became reviewers fur The Natural Pet Company at amazon.com. Occasionally they send us a product fur free to review on amazon fur them. They make sum gweat stuffs, you might wanna check ‘em out. anyways, they recently sent us a pawsum box of toys. We took fotos fur da review and have donated it to da auction to help raise money fur da kitties in need.

It’s time fur anuvver Blest Sunday. Our favowit posty of the week. Weez a little behind today cuz Worpress didn’t publish like it was posed to. But dat’s okay, it just reminds us dat technology is not wiffout it’s faults.

It’s been an innerestin’ week wound here fur sure. As you know mommy took off a lot of da early pawrt of da week to get weady fur da inspection and learn more ‘bout Sterile Cystitis. Weez’ll be tellin’ ya what she learned later this week. Yous’ll wanna tune in fur dat cuz our furst report based on musings fwum da VET wasn’t completely accurate. Dat dusn’t surpwise us, cuz as you know weez not have da bestest VETs in da world here. They awe unfurtunately in it fur da money. Weez know there’s gotta be a good one wound here sumwhere tho’ so our search is still on.

However based on da VETs musings da war over meez noms began. Mommy won da furst battle and meez no longer eatin’ Blue Buffalo at all. No wet, no kibble, no BB in meez plate. Me weally likes catnip tea and so mommy’s been makin’ it fur me to incwease meez fluid intake. Da result has been sum larger clumps in da pawdee box which seems to make mommy happy. Who wulda known she wuld be happy ‘bout seein’ bigger pee clumps. After all sis Lexi has boulder size clumps and dat dusn’t make mommy happy. MOL  Course it’s cuz of da CKD dat hers clumps be so big. Anyways, da war wages on but mommy has sum fings comin’ dat she hopes will be hers secwet weapon and put an end to da war once and fur all. We shall see. We shall see. MOL  Me is fur sure feelin’ better, mommy can see it now.

And in udder news, sis Lexi be duin’ weally good wight now too. She’s eatin’ purretty good and in weally good spirits. She’s been purrlayin’  and weez been havin’ fun purrlayin’ chase up and down da kitty steps. And she’s been havin’ fun dwinkin’ fwum da pawdee box room faucet. Every meownin’ she hangs out on da vanity waitin’ fur mommy to finish bwushin’ hers teeff and washin hers face so she can play in da sink wiff da water. Since mommy always furgets to take a camera to bed wiff us we don’t have fotos, but mommy’s workin’ on it. She’s put up a few sticky notes to remind her to put a camera in da pawdee box room afur weez go to bed one night.

So, dat’s an update on how weez be duin’ and how our week went. We awe so blest to be feelin’ good and havin’ fun. We have sum gweat fings comin’ up fur yous all. Yous not wanna miss tomorrow, weez havin’ a pawsum give away just in time fur da season of fallin’ leaves and punkins. And fur those of ya’ out there what likes to watch movies, mommy found an app in da app store fur furee what allowed her to watch all da latest and even da oldie movies. It’s called Free Film-Free Movies. She even lissened to watched Jurassic World yesfurday. She sed hopefully she’ll have enuff time to actually watch it all da way fwu today. MOL  Weez didn’t get paid nuffin’ fur tellin’ ya’ ’bout dat, matter of fact, they don’t even know us fwum Adam. MOL  We just fawt yous might like to know.
