Meowllo evewypawdy weez wishin’ you all a wunnewful Monday and west of da week. Pendin’ on what time yous weadin’ this, sissy may be getting’ hers blood stolen, and maybe hers tinkle too. Sum how weez messed up ow time settin’ here on WordPress and we never seem to know when ow posties awe goin’ out. Call us da “D” word and you wuld be hitin’ da nail on da head. Weez not furmilar wiff this UTC time. You know weez fwum da Souff and call it CST (central standawd time). Actually afur we entered social media and stawted visitin’ wiff peeps fwum all ovew da place we just called it time fur bwekky, lunch (tweat) or dinner time. And evewy night, bed time. MOL Anyways, sumhow when time changed we musta been on da wrong time, cuz ow posties have been goin’ out at da stwangest hours. So sissy’s pointment is at 3 p.m. CST today.

Weez weally hopin’ and purrayin’ dat maybe ow cuwwent Vet wuz wrong and even misdiagnosed her. We know a lot of ya’ awe finkin’ we oughtta gwo up, but mommy sez she weally can’t magin’ life wiffout sissy and me. Dat bein’ sed, we gotta figger out how to make her a survivor. She wuz diagnosed wiff only a urinalysis and quite a foo of ow furiends wanted to know why no blood test wuz dun. On da second visit, again mommy asked fur blood work and again wuz ignored and so her went on da search to find a Vet to run those tests. And now weez got a foo emails tellin’ us weez spendin’ too much munny, and askin’ fur too much help. So mommy sed we need to pawlogize, but mommy will do what her can fur us and dat includes ask fur help. And to answer da accusations made by sum, there’s nuffin’ else mommy can cut fwum hers spenses ‘cept toilet paper. But they don’t send out da catalogs fur furee anymore. And mommy sez whedder you eat or not, yous gunna hav need of toilet paper. We do purreciate yous handlin’ yous gwipes wiff us fwu email stead of makin’ nasty comments, but wight now we weally don’t need those eevew.

Anyways weez will let you all know what we find out when we find out. Weez not sure whedder da vet duz all tests in house or sends them out. And da place where mommy has been getting’ sum help on unnewstandin’ what we need to do fur sissy, like what noms she can hav and such wecommend havin’ da tests sent to an outside lab. Dat wuld mean we wuldn’t know anyfin’ fur at least a foo days. And they wecommend da uwine be kept fur a week and exposed to bactewia to see ifin it grows anyfin’. Meez tellin’ ya’ these peeps awe weally knowledgeable ‘bout all this stuff. So weez in good hands and we know God be lookin’ out fur us too. So we ask ya’ to send good fawts and purrayers to mommy and Lexi today and weez’ll let ya’ know what we know when we know it.   We also wanna fank awnty Kathie, Miss Ellen and meez pawsum Cat Scout furiend Cat. Blest Sunday

Meowllo evewypawdy and a meowsy Blest Sunday to you all. Oh me cat wuz we busy yesfurday. As me told ya’ me wuz hostin’ a pawty at Cat Scouts. And OMC It wuz pawsum!!! Me actually joined Cat Scouts last year on St. Patwicks day, so meez only been a scout fur ‘bout a year now. And meez never hosted anyfin’ online like dat afur. me wuz so nervous dat no scout wuld come. And da foo hoo did wuldn’t have fun. Me shulda known better, cuz all da scouts be pawsum. They awe all so furiendly and helpful and kind and genewous. Well they embody what a scout is. And so it turned out to be a pawsum day. We wrapped it up a littlle after 9 last night, and mommy wuz exhausted. Hers hineybo wuz numb fwum sittin’ so long and hers back and neck had muscles spasmin’ so stwong yous kuld actually see them movin’.

So stead of a long wordy posty, weez gunna show you how much fun we had. And again tell you dat we be extwemely blest to have so many wunnewful furiends.  Fanks to all da scouts dat made meez furst event so pawsum. Who’s Got The Peppermint Oil

Meollo evewypawdy and happy Caturday to ya’. As you know, cuz me told ya’, meez at Cat Scouts hostin’ a day of fun, games and dancin’ and of course eatin’. We scouts do know how to have a good time. Anyways, mommy wuz asked to do a weview, so it works out purrfectly. And cuz this purroduct be sumfin’ wiff many uses includin’ sum all you pet luvvers wuld be innewested in, mommy’s gunna tell ya’ all ‘bout it. Me will see you all fur blest Sunday. I’m going to talk to you all today about peppermint oil. I mean the essential oil and not the flavoring. As with any essential oil DO NOT apply on your pets skin or allow them to drink it. An if they get into by accident, see you vet immediately. Now I know what you’re asking yourself. If it’s so dangerous for our furries why then are we writing about it and suggesting it’s use? The answer is, because it’s natural and has a lot of beneficial uses. And if you know to keep it away from your pets you can do so and still benefit. So when we were asked to review Peppermint Oil for Go Pure Naturals skin care, we jumped at the chance. I’ve been using essential oils since my accident. They can be very beneficial.

We received a 4 ounce bottle of 100% Pure, Therapeutic Grade A cold-pressed Mentha Piperita/essentail Peppermint Oil. It arrived in only a few days in an amber glass bottle with a dropper attachment included. And it smelled divine. I personally love the crisp fresh scent of peppermint oil. I first learned of peppermint oil when I was 12 years old and singing in a competition. I had lost my voice right before the finals and thought I was going to have to drop out. I was also entered in the duet category and my duet partner knew a trick that would deaden my throat and give me back my voice. That little trick included a few drops of peppermint oil in the back of my throat. I gotta tell ya’, it burned like the dickens, but I got my voice back and was able to compete and won. It was then that I went on a research spree for all the uses of peppermint oil. And OMC I found a ton of them.

Peppermint oil is one of the most used essential oils with a history dating back almost 3000 years. It has been used both externally and internally to treat a variety of physical and mental ailments as well as it’s common household uses. It has a high concentration of essential minerals like magnesium, potassium and calcium. A few drops in a glass of water can help with digestive disorders. It can also be rubbed on the chest or inhaled through a vaporizer to help with respiratory issues. It can be rubbed into the scalp to assist with getting rid of dandruff and lice. And used on the face to encourage cell regeneration and aid in getting rid of acne.

Now I’m going to tell on Lexi a little bit. Remember I raised her from 10 minutes old, so she didn’t really learn how to be an average cat so to speak. One time when she was much younger we had a little visitor from outside come into our apartment. Yes, we had a mouse. I’ll tell ya’ I hate mice. They terrify me. I know you think I’m silly, but that’s okay I don’t mind standing in the chair and screaming. MOL The thing is, Lexi joined me on that chair and she was meowing like crazy. Luckily for us her brother Lucky wasn’t afraid and he took care of that problem for us, but Lexi is not, nor has she ever been a mouser. So, peppermint oil to the rescue. Did you know that a little peppermint oil on a cotton ball placed in cabinets or closets will keep those little rodents away. You can also place it outside your home, especially if you live near a field. It also works on wasps, ants, spiders and more.

Blood Stealin’…No Thieves Here

Meowllo evewypawdy, da weekend’s finally here! Woohoo Yous askin’ yousselff why me be so ‘cited it’s da weekend since meez a cat and meez mommy be disabled and home wiff us all da time anyways, wight? You wuld be wight ‘bout boff those fings, but it seems eeven tho’ mommy dusn’t work anymowe hers still kinda wuns like she duz. She twies to put in hers 12 hours on da puter evewyday workin’ on meez bloggy and visitin’ wiff ow furiends, and facebook and all da udder stuffs we do. And now hers puttin’ in extwa time wesearchin’ fings ‘bout sis Lexi’s CKD/CRF. So when da weekend comes, she usually spends mowe time wiff us and less on da puter. It keeps us behind in ow visitin’, but she sez all this wuz stawted fur us, and ifin she dusn’t spend time wiff us, then all this wuz fur naught. So dat’s why meez so happy ‘bout it bein’ da weekend. And meez hostin’ a dance at Cat Scouts tomowwo. Yeah me be a little nervous cuz meez never dun this afur, but meez still ‘cited cuz it’s gunna be so much fun. As you all know weez now 7 weeks into sis Lexi’s diagnosis of early stage Renal Failure. Hers diagnosis wuz made wiff a simple urinalysis and altho’ mommy asked fur bloodwork to be dun, ow Vet found dat unnecessary. Dat did bodder mommy a bit, but she wuz so shocked by da diagnosis she kuldn’t weally fink very clearly and let it go. She came home and dug in and stawted wesearchin’. Evewy where she looked, blood work seemed very purrtant. Has sumfin’ to do wiff da nummews and all. So when mommy took Lexi in fur hers 6 week check up, she again asked fur a blood work up. Da Vet completely ignored mommy and sed she wuz duin’ what she needed to be duin’ and dat sissy looked gweat. Now mommy wuz fwustwated. We like ow Vet and we get a small discount which weally helps, but mommy feels she weally needs mowe infurmation to manage sissy’s illness. Specially when we heard fwum ow sweet furiend Brian dat Zoe had beat this pawful fing based on hers nummews. So mommy set out to learn how to make Lexi da next one to beat this pawfull disease. Turns out dat wuz easier sed then dun.

Don’t know what’s up wiff da Vets wound here, but getting’ one to do a CBC/Sr. Blood Panel wuz hawder than we evew spected. Evewy time we turn wound one of ow furiends is havin’ their blood stolen, but dat’s not sumfin’ kitties wound here have to deal wiff pawently. But yesfurday we finally found a vet dat wuld do just dat. Now we need to find da munny to pay fur it afur ow pointment on Monday. Da cost is gunna be $132.00. Dat wuld include da office visit, Full CBC and a new urinalysis. We kuld get by wiff $100.00 and skip da urinalysis, but mommy wuld like to get furesh tests as ifin it wuz da furst time so she wuld have a complete picture of where sissy be at. Mommy found dat there awe noms out there dat sissy will eat dat not be outwageously purriced. They awen’t purrscwiption, but mommy hasn’t had any kitty dat wuld eat those purrscwiption diets. As weez sed afur, it be da phosphowous content dat needs to be low, not da purrotien. Altho’ da purrotien needs to be fwum a “good” source.
