Chatting Cats: A Meowsy Feline Friday

Dezi: MeOW Hey Raena, did you enjoy that turkey tom lurkey last night? Me sure did. Me even stole a bite of mommy’s hawaiian roll. It was so tasty.

Raena: Oh sissy, I’s luvs, luvs, luvved mine’s turkey tom lurkey. And I’s stole the whole roll when mommy zoned out. I’s hate that she doesn’t feel good, but I’s just couldn’t pass up more of that tasty fanky Fanksgivin’ dinner. I’s sure hope mommy gets better soon.

Dezi: Me too Raena. Whatever she’s got sure came on fast. She said she felt fine yesfuday meownin’, but by the early afternoon she couldn’t even function. She had a really bad migraine and her throat was sore and she was runnin’ a fever and had the chills. (Dezi whispers to Raena) Me even thinks she might’ve peed her pants a time or two. But don’t tell anypawdy, she would be so embarrassed. When she furinally came ‘round and saw her empty plate, fanks to you, she just assumed she’d already had dinner and put the leftover turkey in the fridge. So, we had to lissen to her tummy growl all night long.

That was mommy’s tummy? I’s just thought you were in a bad mood sissy. I’s don’t think I’s got mine’s full sleep, I’s so tired today.

A bad mood? Why would me be in a bad mood? Me’s gotchaday fell on Fanksgivin’ and me got real turkey tom lurkey as a treat. And even tho’ mommy wasn’t feelin’ good, she gave me lots of extra luvvin’ and cuddles. Me’s day couldn’t have been more purrfect. Well, a stroll might have been the cream on top. But, me knew mommy wasn’t up to it, so me didn’t even ask.

A stroll would’a been great sissy, but that was very thoughtful of you to consider how mommy was feelin’. Maybe we can go fur strolls when she’s all better.

Me hopes so Raena. Do you realize Christmas is only a month away? Me can’t wait to go out lookin’ at Christmas lights.

And I’s can‘t wait fur our annual trip to the old folks home sissy. I’s had so much fun last year. The peeps luvved me. Oh Christmas, I’s can’t wait fur you to get here.

Hey everypawdy, are ya’ there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. Are ya’ll ready fur Fanky Fanksgivin’? I’s sure is. (Dezi walks up to Raena and nose bumps her) Hey sissy, are you ready fur tomorrow? You know we’re gettin’ a special treat cuz not only is it Fanky Fanksgivin’ but it’s also your gotchaday. By the way, do you know why mommy keeps snatchin’ me up and cryin’? She gets all mushy and soaks mine’s furs to mine’s skin. I’s swear, I’s had more baths the last couple of days than I’s had mine’s whole life.

She’s happy Raena. Don’t you ‘member her squealin’ like a banshee the other day? You know, when you slow blinked to her. You’re whole life she’s played the slow blink game and nuffin’. When you furinally slow blinked back mommy was beside herself with happiness.

Check out mine’s eyes. Aren’t they lookin’ pawsum?!!

Really? Mine’s slow blinkin’ makes mommy that happy? I’s didn’t do it befur cuz it hurt too bad. Ya’ know, always scratchin’. Scratch, scratch, scratchin’ mine’s eyes. Now that it doesn’t hurt anymore I’s just wanted mommy to know how much I’s luvs her. I’s never ‘magined she was gonna lose her marbles and get all mushy gushy fur days.

Purrlease Raena, you know how emotional mommy can be. Kittens, She can cry over a commercial.

Yeah that’s true sissy, I’s just didn’t know how ‘purrtant slow blinkin’ was to mommy. I’s always let her know how much I’s luvs her in other ways without her openin’ up the flood gates, so I’s just didn’t x’pect this. Guess it’s a good thing I’s like hugs and cuddles. How long do ya’ think this might last?

Who knows Raena. T’ween the guilt she feels fur not figgerin’ out what was wrong with your eyes sooner and the way you’ve been checkin’ everythin’ out like you’re seein’ it fur the very furst time, she could be gushin’ fur years.

Well sissy, I’s don’t blame mommy, she tried to help me and the minute she knew what was wrong and how to fix it, she did. I’s have so much to be fanky fankful fur. I’s one Blest kitty girl fur sure. And meowin’ of Blessings, tomorrow, we’ll be Giving Thanks fur the many Blessings we have.

We will Raena. Thanksgiving here in the U.S. is a day celebrated cuz of the fortune our ancestors found when they came across this amazing and fertile new world, America. And while we’re certainly grateful fur all of that and the fact that we were born here and are citizens of this great nation, we actually celebrate by Giving Thanks fur those Blessings we receive each day, like our home, our family and furiends, our health and so much more. Me purrsonally is very Fankful, cuz had mommy not saved me that Fanksgivin’ so long ago, me surely would have died.

Blest Sunday: So Many Blessings And Plans

MeOW Hisssssss RaenaBelle!!! Stop jumpin’ on me!!! Mommy said you were gonna be nicer and less of a pain now that you aren’t in pain all the time. So what’s up with you?

I’s am nice sissy, I’s always nice. And, I’s not jumpin’ on you, I’s jumpin’ over you. Altho’ at the moment I’s not jumpin’ anywhere, I’s just sittin’ here. You’re the one with your bloomers in a twist.

We played around in the foto apps this weekend. This

is somethin’ called a squared pencil filter.

Me’s bloomers aren’t in a twist Raena. It’s Blest Sunday and time fur us to count our Blessings. Me will go furst. Pest or no, me’s glad that you’re feelin’ better and that your eyes are healin’ up well. Me’s also fankful fur your plans, you threw me a really great pawrty. Me’s fankful fur all our furiends; me’s pawrty wouldn’t have been the same without ‘em. And me got the cutest card in the snail mail from Valentine…fank you. Me also wants to say a meowsy big Fank you to Princess Erin fur me’s Birthday/Gotchaday gift. And of course, me’s always fankful fur mommy. Me’s one Blest kitty girl fur sure.

We both are sissy. I’s fanky fankfull fur all the luvs, suppurrt and purrayers I’s received durin’ mine’s surgery and now fur mine’s healin’. Mine’s eyes have never felt better; and, mommy says I’s more luvvin’ than ever . I’s can see clearly now and I’s luvvin’ it. I’s enjoyed the pawrty too. And, I’s so grateful fur you and mommy, ya’ll are just the bestest family any kitty could ever want. (Something catches Raena’s eyes outside and she runs to the small perch to see what it is.) Look’it sissy, a squirrel. He keeps runnin’ back and forth from tree to tree.

He’s purrparin’ fur winter Raena. He’s purrobably tryin’ to collect enuff nuts to keep himself fed when it gets really cold outside. Fank goodness we don’t have to do that. Did you see the bunny that hopped past earlier?

I’s got in on the foto editin’ too. This is somethin’ called a recursion filter.

I’s missed him sissy. Why didn’t you call me? Ya’ know, ifin mommy would just let us outside, we could’a had fresh rabbit fur Fanksgivin’.

Sure we could Raena…like you know the furst thing ‘bout huntin’ bunny rabbits.

Well at least we could’a tried sissy. Ya’ never know when ya’ just might get lucky. MOL Anyways, you know Fanksgivin’ is Fursday, right? That means Christmas is only a few short weeks from now. While visitin’ one of our furiends the other day, we learned of this cool app that will let us gather our furiends info so we can send them Christmas cards. So, we’d like to ask all of you to click here and fill in your info. It’s totally free and private. We’ll be the only ones who can see your infurmation. And of course, we’ll never share your purrsonal info with anyone or use it to annoy you.

Another of Raena’s plans, huh? Well, me guesses far as plans go, this one’s purretty good. You just might be purretty good at makin’ plans after all Raena. Me can’t wait fur Christmas. You need to put on that thinkin’ cap of yours and help me come up with a great gift to give mommy.

Now that’s a great plan sissy. Furst tho’, I’s thinkin’ we should post our Gift Guide next week. You know, just in case peeps wanna shop those Black Furiday or Cyber Monday sales to get gifts fur their luvved ones and favorite furries.

Chatting Cats: More Plans Ahead

MeOW RaenaBelle, you really did a great job with me’s carnival pawrty. Me wasn’t sure at furst, but you really do have some good ideas after all. The ice cream truck was a great hit. And everypawdy looked so pawsum in their masks. Me knows you worked really hard purrin’ it all together. ‘Specially since our innernets went out and you had to do it all over the weekend. (Dezi walks over to Raena and head bumps her) Fanks, me will plan you a great pawrty next year.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw Fanky fanks sissy. I’s glad you had a good time and liked your pawrty. It was a lotta work and put us way behind in visitin’ our furiends, but ifin you’re happy, it was worth it. Meowin’ of visitin’ our furiends, we’re slowly but surely gettin’ caught up. However, our comments seem to disappear on some of your bloggy’s includin’ the wordpress ones. Now that might be cuz you’re monitorin’ ‘em, but ifin you’re not and don’t see a comment from us in the next few days, purrlease let us know, so we can try to figger out what’s happenin’. You might wanna check your spam folder furst tho’, we have ended up there in the past.

Yeah Raena, me hates it when we get behind. Fankfully most of our furiends unnerstand. On another note, me’s joinin’ the choir at cat scouts, so mommy’s tryin’ to help me record me’s audition track. And me told her she owed our furiends her rendition of Amazing Grace and at least a couple of country songs that they asked fur last year. Now that she has teeth again, she can form words and sing. So it’s gonna be a little busy ‘round here fur the next couple of weeks.

I’s just luvs it when mommy sings sissy. ‘Specially when she sings ‘bout us. She makes up the bestest songs ever.

Me likes it too Raena. But sometimes, the songs she makes up could use a little work. Ya’ know like when she sings, Dezi, sweet as apple pie? Like, is apple pie even sweet? We don’t even like apples.

Yeah well, ya’ might have a point there sissy. I’s not sure ‘bout bein’ her punkin’ pie either; but I’s do luvs it when she says we’re purrfect and her purrecious baby girls.

Me kind’a likes those pawrts too Raena. We really are Blest. Ya’ know, the holidays are here and peeps are startin’ to get really busy.

Sure ‘nuff sissy. I’s had mine’s thinkin’ cap on lately and I’s thinkin’ we should post a gift guide with our top picks. Mommy even received this cool new notebook fur furee, to keep track of all our plans and picks. And, ifin you’re like mommy and still like to use paper notebooks, we think you’d luvs it or one like it. Ya’ oughtta check out TeePublic, they’ve got some really cool things that would make great gifts.

Me thinks that’s a great idea Raena. Guess we better get to work on that befur Christmas sneaks up on us.
