          As you can see, chicken is not only the furst ingredient, it’s purretty much the only ingredient. Now, ya’ need to ‘member the Core Simply Shreds are NOT a balanced meal. They are great fur addin’ to your pets normal meal as a topper or even a special treat. Ya’ know, maybe ya’ wanna give kitty a midnight snack, but ya’ want somethin’ a little healthier than a handful of treats. These toppers would be a great option. They come in a case of 12) 1.75 ounce packets, 4 flavors and cost $13.99 a case. They also have these fur the doggies. I’s should also tell ya’ the packets are full of water. That’s good fur helpin’ to keep kitty hydrated, but mommy says ya’ better be careful and open ‘em over the sink. She didn’t do that the furst time and had to mop befur we could eat.           You sure did sissy. I’s waited ever so patiently fur mine’s turn to test it out. By the time you furinally let me try it, all that was left was shreds of chicken. You didn’t leave me, not one frop of that chicken flavored water. Fanky fankfully, mommy saw that and added some fur me. It was all purretty tasty ifin ya’ ask me. I’s would fur sure give the Wellness Core Simply Shreds 3 paws up. What ‘bout you sissy?

Me thought the water was quite tasty. And, me did come back later and eat a few shreds. They weren’t too bad, so me would give ‘em 3 paws up as well. Me meowed with mommy a bit and she says, she’d give ‘em a thumb up cuz we both ate them and they’re a one ingredient treat. But only 1 thumb, cuz of the mess while opening them, and she said those little shreds are kind’a hard fur us kitties to actually eat. Seems we made a bit of a mess outside the plate. So, mommy not only had to mop, but she also had to run the sweeper over the area around our plates. And, mommy thinks they’re a little on the costly side fur what ya’ get. All in all, 6 paws and a thumb is purretty good.

          Sure ‘nuff sissy. And of course, there’s also the box. You know we luvs us a Chewy box. And, we luvs Chewy. Meowllo everypawdy and happy Wednesday to ya’. We got some great questions from me’s Service Animal posty, and we’ll be answerin’ them and so much more in our next installment on Monday. In da meantime, me has some noms to tell ya’ ‘bout. As ya’ know we be pawrt of da Chewy blogging family and get to try out new things every month. This month we knew we were gonna have a kitten in da house so mommy looked at da offerings really careful like and chose a couple foods dat are good fur all life stages. Dat means both Raena and me can eat it and it will be nutritionally balanced.

So, dat bein’ said mommy chose da Solid Gold Holistic Delights in Creamy Bisque with chicken and coconut milk. Now these come in 3 ounce packets, 12 to a case for $14.28. They are all grain free and da chicken bisque we received also says it’s gluten free. And as me said befur, it’s appropriate fur all life stages. Here’s what’s in it:

Solid Gold claims dat da rich coconut milk provides much needed calcium that’s easily digested and gentle on kittys’ tummy. Da Holistic Delights pouches come in 6 flavors. Altho’ da name of our choice says chicken, it includes quite a bit more tuna than chicken. Mommy’s basing dat on smell alone. Da chicken doesn’t contain carageenan, so those of you who look fur dat can rest easy. Anyways, we know you wanna know what it looks like and ifin we liked it.

I’s a natural, don’t ya’ think?

 

Well me didn’t even wanna try it. As we’ve told you many times, mommy doesn’t feed us much fish, so me’s just not used to it. And da smell emanatin’ from me’s plate was just too much and me wouldn’t even go near it. Mommy tried spoonin’ a little of da broth to me. Me does like a little milk and mommy won’t let me have it. You know us kitties be lactose intolerant, and mommy purr-furs not to have to clean me’s bloomers ifin she doesn’t have to. Anyways, me didn’t want da broth either. Of course me has to give it a paw up fur bein’ grain free, gluten free and not containin’ so many of da questionable ingredients. So mommy moved on to Raena. Raena, do you wanna tell everypawdy what you thought ‘bout da Holistic Delights Creamy Bisque with Chicken and coconut milk?

Fanks Dezi, I would luvs too. I’s had some good eatin’ since comin’ here to live with mommy and sis Dezi. When mommy furst put mines plate down I went in whole head furst. It looked kinda milky cuz mommy adds a lot of water to mines meals. Me started lappin’ it up, and then me discovered there was bites in da milk; really small pieces of meat and veggies. I’s ate ‘bout half da plate befur turnin’ mines nose up, tryin’ to cover it up and walkin’ away. Mommy left it down fur ‘bout 35 minutes and I did return and eat more. Unlike mines usual meal plate; it didn’t get licked clean. I have eaten da Holistic Delights Creamy Bisque a few more times since then, but it’s always da same; I eat a little and walk away. So I would give it 2 paws up.

Fanks Raena, glad you liked it. Mommy says she would have to give it a thumb up cuz of da grain and gluten free nature. She likes dat da proteins are second and third on da list. However, she said it should be called chicken and tuna cuz of da amount of tuna included. And a side note somethin’ in it ‘pawrently gives Raena gas. OMC Dat’s not somethin’ ya’ wanna smell.

Me told ya’ in me’s last posty dat we’s honored to be pawrt of da Chewy.com blogging family; and dat we receive some great purroducts every month to try out and tell you all ‘bout. And me also told ya’ dat mommy had chosen our items based on what she thought each of us would like. Me knows sis Lexi isn’t here anymore, but she did get to try a great food this month dat me needs to tell ya’ ‘bout. As ya’ know sissy had gotten really picky this last year and mommy was always tryin’ to find somethin’ she would eat and dat was good fur her. So mommy chose da Natural Balance Delectable Delights Catatouille Stew Wet Grain-Free cat food fur sissy in purrticular and me to try. Now let me tell ya’ a little ‘bout these noms.

‘Course they are wet and come in a 2.5 ounce plastic tub; 12 to a case. They also come in a multitude of flavors and either stew or pate. Ifin kitty likes gravy, then da stews are da way to go. Most of da formulas are fishy. Mommy chose da Catatouille cuz we’s don’t really eat much fish here. Fur health reasons mommy doesn’t like us to eat fish, so we never really developed a taste fur it. Here’s what’s in da Catatouille:

Case of Natural Balance Catatouille

It doesn’t have any carrageenan, so dat’s a plus, and it’s grain free. Sissy luvved da Catatouille. She liked it so well, me never got to try it. At da end it was all mommy kuld get sissy to eat, so me gladly gave her me’s tubs. She wuld be givin’ these an all four paws up. They are full of gravy so fur those of ya’ dat add water to kitties meals fur medical reasons, it’s purrobably not needed here. These meals are complete and balanced fur an adult cat. So what did mommy think ‘bout them you ask?

Well Dezi, I like that they are grain free and full of gravy. The pieces are small but there was plenty of chicken in each tub. They did contain a lot of vegetables as well, but as we said in your last review, that’s pretty normal in most cat foods these days. I was thrilled that Lexi liked them so much and would eat everything on her plate. They don’t contain carrageenan, but they do have tuna oil and guar gum. All in all, I would give these a thumb up. Even the ever pickier Lexi ate them up and I didn’t have to add water to make more gravy.

Well there ya’ go, a fumm up from mommy and four paws up from sissy. Me did get a good whiff of them and they smelled delishus. Altho’ all of our tubs were well blended, there were some kitties who received other formulas dat sed da dried spinach was bunched on da top of da food. So just be aware dat you may get a tub with a green glob on top. It’s not mold, it’s spinach. Just mix it in with da rest of da food or as one kitty did, throw it in da trash. We kitties don’t really need spinach so either way is fine.

Can You Tell What’s In The Can

Well it’s another miserable Monday and we’re all still here. We kinda went AWOL this weekend cuz sis Lexi wasn’t duin’ so good. Late last night she finally pulled out of it a bit and wanted to eat. We was so happy. Me dusn’t really unnerstand what’s goin’ on when sissy be havin’ a bad time so mommy not only has to take care of sissy, she also has to comfurt me. She duz a gweat job but it leaves her totally exhausted. Anyways back to sis Lexi’s eatin’.

As #ChewyInfluencer’s we received a gweat variety pack of Tiki Cat Gourmet Carnivore canned cat food this month free of charge in exchange fur our honest opinion. As ya’ know, free or not, we always tell it like it is. We’s only ever tried da chicken and duck so we were excited to get to try more flavors. We got a 12 pack of 2.8 ounce cans. Da chicken and duck we like so much was included along with beef, turkey and fishies includin’ tuna. Furst let me tell ya’ dat when you open a can of Tiki Cat, you wuld never know you be lookin’ at cat food. Inside each can is shredded, cut and/or sliced pieces of real meat in juices or a consommé and no stinky smell. Meat is da furst ingredient in every can and there’s no carrageenan. So since sissy hadn’t really eaten all weekend, mommy gave her a can of da Tiki Cat fur dinner last night. Me was purrpared to let her have me’s can too cuz me wanted her to get full and me had a can at breakfast.
