Lexi: Hey y’all Lexi heer hopin’ youz awl duin’ grayt. Yesfurday Dezi poezdid dat it had gawdid relee kold heer. And it did. Well when it gitz relee kold Dezi gitz in a funk of sortz. Not a down and owt kind but a relee playfull wun. Soz yesfurday she had bin duin’ her normull fing of hawllerin’ at mommy and mommy gittin’ up and chekin’ on herz and da pawdee boxiz ownlee too find nuffin’ in ‘em. Korz mommy nu dat afur herz gawdid up cuz weez had bowff awlredee gawn. But Dezi wuz skweekin’ nun da lezz and mommy duzn’t wanna miss anyfin’ jiz in kayz. Finelee mommy gawdid soz tired dat herz told Dezi she wuzn’t gittin’ up agin. She wuz gunna habz herz kup of kawffee and dat ibin Dezi wandid too tawlk too herz she kuld kumm too da libbin’ room too doo it. Soz in Deziz biggezt big girly voyz herz annownzt herz purrowtezt. Youz shulda herd it, it wuz hill-air-reeuz. Mommy and me bowff laft. Din in anudder big girl voyz, da wun dat skeerz any mommy, Dezi hawllerd owt. And of korz mommy reezpawndid bi jumpin’ strayt up and heddin’ fur da hawl. Mommy looked down da hawlway and der wuz Dezi starin’ rite at herz frum da bedroom. And din she jumped strayt up and ran away and din strayt fur mommy. See day play diz gaym of: gunna git me. Dezi sort of hidez and mommy purrtendz to nawt see herz and sez, “Where’s Dezi? Where’s my Dezi girl? Oh Dezi, where are you?” And then Dezi wigglez herz hinee and mommy startz to “run” away and sez, “You gunna get me? You gunna get me?” And Dezi chases behind her and then ends by jumpin’ on whateber herz kin find and din zoomz fru da howz and day start awl ober agin. Let me tell ya’ I’z git tired jiz watchin’ ‘em.

Dezi: Me just luvs playin’ wiff mommy. So yesfurday weez asked ifin yous all wuld be innewested in weadin’ ‘bout UTI’s, and da answer wuz mostly yes. So those wuld be educational posties and be written in hooman so dat anypawdy and evewypawdy will be able to read ‘em. Me has a jamboree to attend wiff da Cat Scouts stawtin’ today and runnin’ fwu da week. So we fawt since sis Lexi wuz da one dat wuz here wiff hers bwofurs when this howwible illness occured and took Lucky’s life, meez gunna leave meez blog in hers capable hands. Sis Lexi wuz writin’ on Facebook long afur me stawted da blog, so hers is purrfectly capable of takin’ cawe of meez blog. Purrlease be nice to hers and weez hope to bwing sum insight into this pawful silent killer of cats known as da UTI.

By da way, mommy did get a vewy showt video of Lexi goin’ down da steps, but it’s purretty blurry, so weez’ll be postin’ all ‘bout da steps wiff videos and fotos this weekend. Dat’ll giv mommy a chance to get better videos and paws cwossed, boff of us. MOL Weez will be includin’ da where they came fwum, etc.. After all, weez vewy impurressed wiff ‘em.

Blest Sunday

Well here it is Blest Sunday again. This year has just gotten away fwum us and is almost ovew. While dat might not mean vewy much to yous, it’s vewy impurrtant fur us. It mawks a weal milestone in ow lives. See just a little ovew a year ago now we got ow vewy first catputer. Mommy knew nuffin’ ‘bout ‘em but most of ow bills and bankin’ had swiched ovew and wuz gunna stawt chawgin’ us a mumffly fee ifin weez didn’t jump on da ‘puter bandwagon. Well of course weez didn’t hav da munny fur no [uter, but mommy continued to look wound. Hers finally found a puter weez kuld buy and ordered it. It wusn’t long afur weez had it in ow house, and mommy began to twy to figger out what to do wiff it.

Da local community college has a bwanch here in ow town and they offer clases fur da seniors here fur furee. Well mommy purromptly signed up fur a Facebook class. Alwight even livin’ off da gwid and under a rock weez had heard of Facebook. Da first class mommy learned hers wuz gunna hav to cweate a Facebook account. WTC (what the cat) Mommy bein’ a purrivate purrsun and a single lady livin’ alone hers ‘cided wight away hers didn’t want hers foto and name all ovew da net, so hers cweated sed Facebook account under Lexi and meez name. And then hers went about liking a foo sites and so on. Da nex fing hers knew she wuz bein’ asked ifin weez, sis Lexi and me; had a page. It took ‘bout 3 weeks, afur hers figgered out what to do to cweate us a page, but soon nuff hers got it up and began to tell ow stowwy. And what followed wuz beyond ow wildest dweams or expectations.

Peeps stawted followin’ ow stowwy and commentin’ and messagin’ us and weez made furiends. Now meez knows yous all know dat’s what Facebook calls da peeps dat follow yous, but weez mean “Weal Furiends.” Peeps dat weally cawed ‘bout us and dat luvved us as much as we luvved them. Weez kuldn’t wait evewyday to connect wiff ‘em, and shawe in their joys and sowwows and hav them do da same. Afur long those same furiends became pawt of ow framly. And weez don’t know what we wuld do wiffout ‘em. And then a foo mowe mumffs down da road and weez had a blog and even mowe furiends. And yous know what? Y’all hav become pawt of ow framly too. Weez awe so blest.

Weez hav come so faw in a year it’s kinda skeery. We can’t magine ow lives now wiff out yous all in it. And weez not want too. Yous know when we stawted out mommy didn’t know nuffin’ bout editing fotos much less usin’ foto apps or online photoshoppin’. And now weez pawticipate in a Caturday Art Blog Hop. When weez stawted mommy didn’t know nuffin’ ‘bout makin’ videos, and now weez hav ow own YouTube channel. When meez stawted bloggin’ mommy didn’t even know how to let me leave a comment fur meez oldest and dearest bloggin’ furiend Timmy Tomcat (hims blog wuz on a diffewent furmat). It wuz Timmy dat got us into bloggin’ in da first place and now weez kuldn’t even comment on hims posties.

Well dat’s all behind us now and weez can comment on any blog anywhere. And weez hav accounts wiff Twitter, Pinterest, Flickr, Tumblr (All under da name Deziz World), of course Facebook and ow newest and most undeveloped, Instagram. Can yous believ it? A year ago weez didn’t even know what these fings wuz. Meez a Cat Scout and sis Lexi and me awe boff members of da Tabby Cat Club. Weez also membews of a foo cat specific sites like da Cat Channel. And nun of this wulda evew happened ifin weez hadn’t got a catputer. Weez learn new fings evewyday, and just last night mommy learned how to use a fumm dwive. Can yous believ it? Afur yous go gettin’ all ‘cited ‘bout mommy gettin’ smawt, hers kuldn’t hav dun it wiff out help fwum Mr. Pete, Timmy’s daddy. Hims walked mommy fwu what to do and now hers a fumm dwive natuwal. (It’s okay Miss Tricia hav yous a good laff just don’t spit out da coffee). Fur those of yous wunnewin’ dat’s Miss Tricia of da Katnip Lounge. She’s way cool and gets a weal kick outta me sayin’ fumms. Most of yous know hers and da lounge but ifin any of yous not know ‘em yet, head on ovew, those cats got a gweat set up there in da desert.

Anyways, me sed all dat to show yous just how blest weez weally awe. Blest Sunday is ow favowit posty to make. We know it has vewy little to do wiff us bein’ service cats or ow work or play, but it’s a time to weflect on da good in ow lives. And all of these fings awe gweat, but da bestest and gweatest blessing is ALL of YOU!!!

OMC Weez kuldn’t hav hand picked a better Blest sunday fur this posty. Do yous all know what today is? This be da Canadian Thanksgiving day. Now me knows dat cuz one of me furiends and fellow Cat Scouts Shoko is Canadian and weez havin’ a little get togedder to celebwate ovew at CAt Scouts today. Me betcha’ she’s havin’ a little celebwation on hers bloggy today too. Yous might wanna prowl on ovew there and check it out. Anyways, it’s gunna be a gweat day.

Now just a kupple weeks ago me told yous weez had a foo secwets to tell, and mommy let us stawt wiff da smaller ones last week. Today weez spillin’ da purrverbeal beans on a big one. I’ts been a lot of fun weadin’ yous comments and hearin’ what yous all fink it might be. Weez haven’ had time yet to weply, but will vewy soon. Sevewal of yous fawt it kuld be a new “housemate”. Now weez not suwe whedder yous meant a little furry (oh what fun) or mommy finally got dat coffee date and Lexi and me wuz in fur a daddy. MOL

Anyways, as most of yous know by now ow pawtement wuz flooded not once but twice in less than a mumff. And in dat flood sum of ow fings got destwoyed. Sum of ow pawsum Facebook framly (furiends) wanted to help get mommy a new chair cuz hers old one fell all to pieces and left hers sittin’ on da floor. So ow paypal account stawted growin’. And weez awe so gwateful to all of yous hoo gave to us so unselfishly. Weez not know where we wuld be or what weez wuld do wiffout yous. And then Savannah and hers mommy Ms. Linda sed they wanted to sponsor a fundwaiser fur us so weez kuld get mommy a weally good wecliner dat wuld also help hers stand. And also to get sum steps to help sis Lexi get up and down easier; as she’s no spwing chicken anymowe. And also to weplace ow mattwess dat got wet. There awe a foo udder minor fings dat got destwoyed but ‘tween those 3 items we wuz lookin’ at a lot of gween papers. Gween papers weez not hav, or wuld evew hav. But yous all stepped forward to help.

Some wiff yous purrayers and luv and sum wiff gween papers. And weez twuly purreciate them all. Bein’ a furmily dat purrays weez know how purrtant those can twuly be. And ifin yous followed da mess wiff da management company, know dat yous words of encouragement kept mommy goin’ even when hers wuz sick and tired and exhausted. So purrlease, no matter what yous did, just know dat it is and wuz gweatly purreciated. Now da Fundwaiser still be goin’ on as da goal hasn’t been met yet. Weez awe so twuly blest to hav yous all in ow lives. Weez awe used to stwugglin’ and tryin’ to do duin’ fur owselves. But yous all showed us dat we awe not alone anymowe. Yous all will nevew weally know what dat means to us. Youz awe all da bestest. But weez know yous all came here today to learn what Big Secwet weez been a keepin’ fwum ya’. So wiffout further adieu me will tell ya’ and then show ya’. Mommy’s been sittin’ on da floor since July, but NOT anymowe.

Fanks to yous generosity hers wuz able to go ahead and order a chair (payment: 1/2 on order and da udder 1/2 afur delivewy). And now let me tell ya’, this is no ordinary chair. It weclines all da way to slepin’ comfurt, called zewo gwavity. Or it can stop anywhere fwum sittin’ to layin’ down. And then it’ll lift hers wight on up to a standin’ position. This here chair wuz da first fing fwum da fundwaiser mommy ordered when hers wuz able to cover da cost. Cuz this chair wuz also made special fur mommy. Hers told them how wide to make da seat and how tall to make da back and how faw up or down hers wanted it to go. In udder words, this chair isn’t sumfin’ hers kulda just went online to amazon.com and order. Hers ordered it a while back, but cuz it wuz bein’ special made, weez kuldn’t say anyfin’. And then on Furiday da semi pulled into da complex and da dwiver came up to ow pawtment and sed hims had a chair to deliver. So dat special made chair IS HERE!!! WooHoo!!! Weez luv it, and mommy’s fwilled wiff it too. Da wemote contwol is all lit up so dat even wiff out hers glasses mommy can see what hers duin’.

It is so gawjus and mommy sez weally comfurtable. Ifin not fur yous all hers wuld still be sittin’ on da floor. FANK YOUS SOOOOOOO VEWY MUCH!!!!! Mommy’s not quite fwu puttin’ da house togedder, but sez dat hers will get it all dun in showt order. Now dat da boxes be emptied da battle’s almost won. Enjoy lookin’ at da fotos and Be purroud. Well meowllo evewypawdy. It’s anudder Blest Sunday wound here. Hope yous is just as good. As yous all know mommy’s been unpackin’ ow house this past week and she sez she’s makin’ headway. Not suwe zackly what dat means but me can tell ya’ there be a lot less boxes wound here. Hers stawted in da back and is movin’ furward so da livin’ room still looks kinda all packed up, but me reckons hers will get dat today. Hers did find sum mowe messes left by da movers and wuz suwe gwipin’ ‘bout dat, but all in all hers just glad to be seein’ evewyfin’ goin’ back in place.

Well as yous know lots has been goin’ on here lately. Course mommy sez weez keep her on hers toes all da time. Dat be pawt of da weason they be unpadicuwed. Nevew a dull moment in udder words. But weez of course gone fwu a little mowe than usual. And Lexi and me didn’t even hav anyfin’ to do wiff it. Not a fing. But fwu it all mommy has twied to let us keep up wiff ow activities as bestest hers kuld. And wecently we had a quest ovew at da Cat Scouts. And meez patwol led by Wally actually did vewy good. Ifin yous membew weez won da Cat Scout knowledge Bowl. Well at da end weez had a drawin’ and me won this weally cool emergency whistle. And guess what? Little secwet nummew one. It came in da mail this week. It is sooooo cool. Me finks it’s weally gunna come in handy on da nex quest. It’s also got a flashlight, magnifyin’ lens, compass, thermostat and a mirror so me can check to make suwe meez lookin’ good afur seein’ Andy. And then there be secwet nummew two. Do yous know what Den Master sent mommy? Mommy just cwied and cwied. Oh don’t worry, member this be Blest Sunday, so only tears of joy today. Mommy got a certificate of Appweciation fur extwaordinawy efforts in da service of Cat Scouts. Fank yous Den Master fur boff ow gifts. Weez luv ‘em. Well let me just tell yous this, ifin me and sis Lexi kuld type……well there wuld be no secwets at all. But since mommy duz da typin’ fur me then me can tell hers what to type all day and hers not gunna do it. But weez can tell ya’ anudder one. Well sort of. Weez got a package fwum ow sweet furiends ovew at da Katnip Lounge, and weez puttin’ tugedder a video to show ya’ this week. And weez even won a foo contests wound da blogosphere. One dat excited mommy so much weez kuldn’t even leave a comment. Mommy had to leave and go back. And then hers still kuld bawely type. And then there be one dat got me and Lexi all ‘cited and duin’ da happy dance. But weez’ll tell ya’ mowe ‘bout those when da purrizes get here. Awe weez blest or what?

Then to top it off last night mommy and me wuz twyin’ to catch up on sum of ow reading and hers eyes wusn’t coopurratin’ weal good. Well they kep closin’ and hers head kep bobbin’. Anyways da puter dinged lettin’ mommy know weez had an email, and so weez went to check it out, and mommy read it to herselff at first and then started gigglin’. Me stawted pawin’ at mommys awm to tell me what wuz goin’ on, and then me saw little dwops of salty water wellin’ up in hers eyes and wollin’ down hers cheek. And then hers told me weez got an email fwum Nellie’s mommy dat sed hers wuz sendin’ us a gift cawd fwum amazon and weez wuz to use it to buy sumfin’ fwivolous. First of all mommy had to splain fwivolous to me and then me knew why, cuz anypawdy dat knows meez mommy knows dat weez not weally get to do dat. So a meowsy big fank yous Miss Barb and Nellie. Fanks fur makin’ meez mommy smile and fur yous wunnewful gift. This be a warity so mommy has to fink long and hawd ’bout what to get. MOL
