Chatting Cats: Pooters Problems And Plans

Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. I’s gotta tell ya’, these catputers sure are sensitive. Since the last round of storms, ours just ain’t been actin’ right. We take all the purrcautions. Kittens!!! Mommy won’t even let us on it ifin she even suspects storms are rollin’ in. A few little gray clouds come rollin’ in and mommy shuts us down; so there’s no way we should be havin’ ‘pooter issues. And yet, every meownin’ it’s the same thing. We try to wake up the beast and the beast keeps snoozin’ till mommy does a whole reboot.

          Meowin’ of boots Raena, me had no idea our catputer even wore the things. Did mommy ever say where the catputer’s feet are, cuz me doesn’t see ‘em. 

 

Me neither sissy. I’s guessin’ with mommy’s techy skills, she doesn’t really know either.I’s thinkin’ she’s just tellin’ us what it says on the screen. She said it keeps tellin’ her to mention somethin’ ‘bout memory management. We have no idea what that even means. The last time the catputer crashed mommy got one of those detachable memory devices cuz ‘pawrently she takes too many fotos to actually store on the catputer alone.

          Yeah Raena, me heard her sayin’ the other day that we were gonna need another one of those soon, cuz we’ve already used up most of the 2 TB on the one we have. 

 

Well, I’s sure hope she figgers it out soon sissy, cuz it’s makin’ us be even later than we already are. Anyways, on another note, didn’t we have fun yesfurday with Prancie? I’s luvs havin’ furiends over fur play dates. 

 

          Me too Raena. Me’s thinkin’ you should invite all our furiends over fur me’s Birthday pawrty. You are plannin’ to throw me a pawrty right?

Uh, Sure sissy. (Raena meows quietly)  Kittens, I’s got sidetracked and totally furgot ‘bout sissy’s Birthday. I’s gotta get with mommy and figger somethin’ out. (Raena walks over and nose bumps Dezi)  So, you want a big pawrty? I’s thought you might purrfur to just have a small get together with me and mommy. You know, you’d get lots of extra lap luvvin’ time and lots of nip and vine. 

 

          Don’t you dare try to pull a fast one over on me RaenaBelle. Me wants a pawrty and you meowed that you’d plan it.

I’s did sissy, and I’s will. Just you wait and see. Mommy and me have big plans, yep, big plans. Meowin’ of, I’s better go check on a few things and make some calls. Tell All Tuesday: Play Dates And Prayers #PranciesPrayer

Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. Hurry, gather ‘round, our playdate guest will be here any minute now. (Raena frantically surveys her kingdom to make sure everything’s picked up and clean.  She wants her playdate to feel welcome)  Sissy, are you ready, Prancie’s gonna be here soon?. Why don’t you ask mommy ifin we can put some silvervine down on the scratchers. I’s bet Prancie would luvs that.

          Raena, calm down. Me’s sure Prancie will have fun. Besides, we’re gonna have a story time with her new book. You know, the one awnty Ellen sent us to review. There’ll be purrlenty of time to play later. Now, help me set up our tunnel pawtal so she doesn’t smack into the door. (Dezi and Raena get the tunnel set up and have a quick bath before Prancie arrives. Suddenly they hear the swoosh of the portal) Hurry Raena, she’s here!!! 

 

Hey Prancie, good to see ya’ girl. How was your trip? Wanna lay down on the scratcher and rest a minute? We’ve been lookin’ furward… 

 

          RaenaBelle!!! Calm down, let her ketch her breath fur kittens sake. Sorry ‘bout her Prancie, she only has one speed and it’s full on all the time.

     No problem Dezi, there’s a few of those at my house too. With so many siblings, you can always count on mayhem. And in the 13 years I’ve lived at my house, I’ve seen it all. Thanks for inviting me over girls, I’m happy to be here. This scratcher is pretty comfy. 

 

It is, isn’t it Prancie. Besides mommy’s lap, it’s purrobably our next favorite seat. So, do have any besties at your house? 

 

     Well Raena, Phoebe and I hit it off right from the start. I pretty much get along with everybody, but yeah, I’d say Phoebe was my bestie. She is missed. (Prancie drifts off in memory for a minute)

          Let’s meow ‘bout your book fur a minute Prancie. We luvved readin’ your story. Altho’ me has to admit, it made us very sad that somepawdy could kick you out into the cold mean streets. We’re such pam-purred pusses, we can’t even ‘magine what you must’ve went thru.

 

     It was quite a shock to me too Dezi. It got so cold, and I was so hungry, I almost gave up. My ears were so cold and then they weren’t. Part of them died and fell off. It sure was a rough life. When I saw that manger with fresh hay part of me wanted to just curl up in it and die. But, when I saw the people who would become my forever family, a little spark of hope welled up inside me and gave me the strength to ask God and them for help.

Ooh Ooh, that’s mine’s second favorite pawrt, Prancie. Mine’s favoritest pawrt is when awnty Ellen and uncle David adopted you and let you stay with them.

     Well Raena, my dad wasn’t my biggest cheerleader at first. But, I finally wrapped him around my paws. I’m a big daddy’s girl for sure. One of my favorite things is the chicken he feeds me off his plate. As you all would say, I’m one blest kitty, that’s for sure.

You sure are Prancie. I’s know sissy and me are so Blest to have you and your whole family as furiends. We think your ears give you character. We know ya’ll didn’t include the story of your ears in your book, but we’re glad you meowed ‘bout ‘em here. Peeps need to unnerstand, that just cuz we kitties have furs doesn’t mean we don’t get cold and suffer from weather the same as they would. We think your book would make a purrfect gift fur any occasion. And, with Christmas comin’ soon, we hope it makes it unner the tree fur lots of little humans.

Dezi:  MeOW  C’mon Raena, it’s Blest Sunday. It’s time to get outta the window and count our Blessings.

          Raena: What are you meowin’ ‘bout sissy? I’s not in the window. Last time I’s checked, this was a door. And technically, I’s not in it.  MOL

Dezi:  Okay miss smarty pantaloons, get away from the door and let’s get to work. 

 

          Raena:  Work? I’s didn’t hear mommy ask fur anythin’. What do we need to do?

Dezi:  Not that work silly. Me meant it’s time to write our posty. (Dezi shakes her head)  Sometimes, you’re not the crispest cracker in the box. Guess it’s a good thing you got the purretty gene. We can’t all be purretty and smart like me.

 

          Raena:  Huh?  Somehow sissy, I’s thinkin’ you’re not actually payin’ me a compliment. But, it’s Blest Sunday, so I’s not gonna fight with ya’ today. I’s am purretty. Mommy even says I’s gawjus. When God started passin’ out the purretties, I’s got in line twice. 

 

Dezi:  RaenaBelle Mayce…Girl, you’ve gotta stop watchin’ so much tv. You’re startin’ to sound as silly as some of the peeps on those shows you like.

          Raena:  But sissy, you can learn so much from tv. Altho’ ya’ have to be careful what ya’ watch. Mommy says even regular tv is usin’ a lot of HBO words these days. Anyways, did you see that cool runnin’ wheel fur kitties the other day? I’s want one. I’s think it would be so much fun. 

 

Dezi:  You would Raena. Me thinks it would be lots of fun to watch you runnin’ in place. Maybe it would tire you out a bit so you’d pester me less. Hmmmmmm  Me needs to mention this to mommy. A kitty wheel fur sure needs to be on our Christmas wish list. Anyways, me wanted to meow ‘bout how the weather started to cool off some this past week. Cooler weather means me has more energy. (Dezi stops and thinks for a minute) ‘Course, it also means you have more energy too. Yep, we fur sure need one of those wheels. 

 

          Raena:  I’s enjoyin’ the cooler weather too sissy. Ifin it would stop rainin’ so much we could go fur some nice strolls with mommy. I’s luvs mommy and me time soooooo much. I’s count mommy as mine’s biggest Blessing every single day. You’re mine’s second Blessing and our furiends are mine’s third. Every Blessing after that is just the bonito flakes over rabbit.

Dezi:  You’re right Raena, we are indeed very Blest kitty girls. We actually received one of those other Blessings this week. We wanna say a meowsy big Fank you to awnty Susan fur the green papers and her furiendship. We fank God fur bringin’ us and mommy together and makin’ it pawssible fur us to meet so many amazin’ peeps and anipals. And, while me may not like thunderstorms and rain, me’s fankful fur it cuz it makes the purretty flowers bloom and the air smell furesh. Blessings are all ‘round us, we just have to open our eyes and see ‘em.

          Raena:  That’s so true sissy. Every meownin’ when we wake up mommy smiles. She can’t even move yet, but she looks over at us and smiles and says fanky fank you to God. Mommy says just wakin’ up to a new day is a Blessing. It makes me so happy that I’s turn on mine’s motor boat full blast. MOmmy says it’s like she has a vibrating bed. I’s don’t know zactly what that means, but I’s do know it makes mommy happy and that’s all I’s care ‘bout.

          Raena:  Don’t furget ‘bout our selfies with the Kitties Blue, sissy.

Chatting Cats: Raena’s New Plan 2 #PurrsWithAPurr-Puss

Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. I’s gotta tell ya’, I’s got big plans. Seems mine’s latest business idea Purrs With A Purr-Puss is a big hit. Sissy, did you hear? Everypawdy thinks mine’s idea is great. We even had several kitties say they’d gladly purrvide the purrs. And, purrlenty of peeps said they’d pay fur those purrs. But, I’s thinkin’ we should add things to our menu; you know, like a la carte’ things they can ask fur. ‘Course there would be an additional charge fur these things. We’d have to be really careful who we sent on each job tho’. You know, some kitties get so x’cited, they’d give away the extras fur free, like drools and makin’ biskits and stuffs.

          Well Raena, while me certainly agrees that your idea is a good one, just how do you think you’re gonna run a business, hire kitties, collect green papers and pay your employees? 

 

So maybe there’s still a few kinks to work out sissy. But I’s think this is gonna be the bestest thing since sliced bonito flakes. Y, We might even be bigger than catnip!!! I’s can see it now, we’ll be rollin’ in dough. Our names will be in lights. We’ll be known as the Purr-Puss Queens. Can you see it? We’ll have billboards and branches all over the world!!! I’s meowed with Shoko and Tyebe ‘bout bein’ heads of our Canadian branch. And Erin, the Cat Princess is on board to head our across the pond branch in her region. So, we just need to get more kitties across the world to get on board. We’ll all be rich, rich, rich!!! Imagine the treats and nip and vine we can buy. (Raena rubs her paws together as she envisions piles of nip and silvervine) 

 

          Sure Raena. (Dezi shakes her head) You still haven’t addressed any of the things me brought up befur. So, are you takin’ applications? And what ‘bout all the purrs we give away every day? Do you expect mommy to start payin’? Cuz me’s purretty sure that ain’t gonna happen. Me’s also purretty sure awnty Jean ain’t gonna be payin’ Shoko and Tyebe either.

Really sissy? Are you sure, cuz I’s know mommy would want us to succeed. How would it look ifin we gave away our services to mommy fur free? 

 

          Well Raena, lots of businesses give furiends and families discounts. And lots of time those discounts mean free fur family. 

 

Maybe sissy, but I’s saw a show on tv that said you can’t give away your product, even ifin it’s family. Otherwise, you’ll never make a profit.

          You’ve got lots of things you really need to work out Raena. In the meantime, we’ve got other things we need to be workin’ on too. Do you realize the holidays are almost here? Me’s Birthday is just right ‘round the corner. Me wants to have a big celebration. Do you wanna help me plan it? 

 

‘Course I’s wanna help sissy. But what ifin mommy was plannin’ on throwin’ you a surpurrise pawrty? 

 

          That’s okay, Raena. Me could have 2 pawrties. You know, one can never have too many pawrties. Anytime we spend with furiends is a good time.

Meowin’ of furiends sissy, I’s invited Prancie over fur a play date next week. She’s gonna bring a copy of her new book so we can host a give away. Isn’t that gonna be pawsum? I’s told mommy she needed to get herself together and get your sis Lexi’s book written, so we can write a book of our own. Maybe we could even write a book ‘bout mine’s new business venture.

          RaenaBelle!!!  ‘Nuff with the business stuffs. (Dezi shakes her head) Girl, you’re like a dog with a bone. You never let anythin’ go. Push, push, push, that’s all you do. Anyways, we do have lots to do, so we better wrap it up and finish our brekky. Me has plans fur a nice relaxin’ afternoon nip nap. Me just has to convince mommy to give me some nip furst.
