It’s time fur anuvver Blest Sunday. Our favowit posty of the week. Weez a little behind today cuz Worpress didn’t publish like it was posed to. But dat’s okay, it just reminds us dat technology is not wiffout it’s faults.

It’s been an innerestin’ week wound here fur sure. As you know mommy took off a lot of da early pawrt of da week to get weady fur da inspection and learn more ‘bout Sterile Cystitis. Weez’ll be tellin’ ya what she learned later this week. Yous’ll wanna tune in fur dat cuz our furst report based on musings fwum da VET wasn’t completely accurate. Dat dusn’t surpwise us, cuz as you know weez not have da bestest VETs in da world here. They awe unfurtunately in it fur da money. Weez know there’s gotta be a good one wound here sumwhere tho’ so our search is still on.

However based on da VETs musings da war over meez noms began. Mommy won da furst battle and meez no longer eatin’ Blue Buffalo at all. No wet, no kibble, no BB in meez plate. Me weally likes catnip tea and so mommy’s been makin’ it fur me to incwease meez fluid intake. Da result has been sum larger clumps in da pawdee box which seems to make mommy happy. Who wulda known she wuld be happy ‘bout seein’ bigger pee clumps. After all sis Lexi has boulder size clumps and dat dusn’t make mommy happy. MOL  Course it’s cuz of da CKD dat hers clumps be so big. Anyways, da war wages on but mommy has sum fings comin’ dat she hopes will be hers secwet weapon and put an end to da war once and fur all. We shall see. We shall see. MOL  Me is fur sure feelin’ better, mommy can see it now.

And in udder news, sis Lexi be duin’ weally good wight now too. She’s eatin’ purretty good and in weally good spirits. She’s been purrlayin’  and weez been havin’ fun purrlayin’ chase up and down da kitty steps. And she’s been havin’ fun dwinkin’ fwum da pawdee box room faucet. Every meownin’ she hangs out on da vanity waitin’ fur mommy to finish bwushin’ hers teeff and washin hers face so she can play in da sink wiff da water. Since mommy always furgets to take a camera to bed wiff us we don’t have fotos, but mommy’s workin’ on it. She’s put up a few sticky notes to remind her to put a camera in da pawdee box room afur weez go to bed one night.

So, dat’s an update on how weez be duin’ and how our week went. We awe so blest to be feelin’ good and havin’ fun. We have sum gweat fings comin’ up fur yous all. Yous not wanna miss tomorrow, weez havin’ a pawsum give away just in time fur da season of fallin’ leaves and punkins. And fur those of ya’ out there what likes to watch movies, mommy found an app in da app store fur furee what allowed her to watch all da latest and even da oldie movies. It’s called Free Film-Free Movies. She even lissened to watched Jurassic World yesfurday. She sed hopefully she’ll have enuff time to actually watch it all da way fwu today. MOL  Weez didn’t get paid nuffin’ fur tellin’ ya’ ’bout dat, matter of fact, they don’t even know us fwum Adam. MOL  We just fawt yous might like to know.

The Holidays Are Rollin’ In

Well we wanna pawlogize fur makin’ sum of yous sad yesfurday. Unfurtunately da stowry we made up happens far to offen. And will continue to happen till da day society as a whole stawrts to value life, all life and learns dat pets not be fwo aways. Anyways we wanna talk a little today ‘bout halloween. We don’t celebwate this purrticular holiday but a lot of peeps do, and as wiff any holiday it comes wiff fun and dangers fur yous furry furmily member.

Lots of ya’ like to dwess up yous pets in da latest costumes fur foto shoots and competitions. There’s nuffin’ wrong wiff dat ifin yous pet likes dat sort of fing and is comfurtable. Da doggies weally luv this one but most cats not so much. Altho’ sum of us kitties do like getting’ dwessed up, me be one of them. So go ahead and give it a twy. Ifin yous furry stwuggles too much, then STOP. Yous addin’ undue stwess and da fotos won’t look good anyways.

Then there’s da pawrties. Lots of fun fur you but not so much fur yous furry. Lots of peeps and loud noises. Food and dwink and minglin’. Fur da “pawrty animals” Candy Is Not a food gwoup yous furry pal shuld be eatin’. Chocolate be bad fur all pets, but so awe all da udder sugary sweet substances. As well as most of da spices and ingwedients in human food. And booze…when was da last time you saw da Lion King havin’ a beer or margarita? Use sum common sense ifin nuffin’ else. And ifin yous furry wuldn’t eat it or dwink it in da wild, they purrobably shuldn’t be havin’ it at a pawrty.

Now fur all da “wallflowers,” those animals who don’t like da pawrties; like us kitties. Purrvide us a safe haven away fwum all da hustle and bustle of da festivities. Put us in a room of our own wiff a closed door. Turn on sum soft music or da teevee to help drown out da pawrty goers. Don’t furget to give us sum food and water and a few toys. Maybe a bed; whatever makes us feel comfurtable and secure. Put a note on da closed door to alert yous guests dat we be in there and shuldn’t be disturbed. Remind yous guests regardless of whether yous pet be da center of attention or unseen and unheard, dat they shuldn’t be feedin’ us.

Then there’s those pesky twick or tweaters. Make sure yous furry can’t escape everytime da door opens. It wuld be bestest to put us in our safe place fur all concerned, even yous furiendly, luv everypawdy doggy. Da ‘citement of da night can make any well twained furry furget their manners. And yous not wanna be sued cuz yous furry jumped on, bit or scwatched a twick or tweater.

And ifin yous got little ones dat you be takin’ out, use yous good judgement. Ifin da house don’t look furiendly, don’t send yous kids to da door. Check all da loot they bwing home to make sure nuffin’ has been tampurred wiff. Make sure yous kids don’t enter anypawdy’s house dat yous not know weally well, an it’s still bestest ifin yous accompany them. Fwo out all handmade tweats lessen yous purrsonally know where they came fwum. Better safe than sowry. Da world we live in isn’t always very nice. And purrlease keep yous solid black and solid white furry furiends inside. People awe cwuel at this time of year and those colors awe sought out by unscwupulous peeps. Yous’ll be able to relax an have more fun when yous not worryin’ ‘bout yous furry furmily.

Inspection Over, We’re Marching On

Well weez back fur now. Mommy spent Monday and Tuesday cleanin’ fur da inspection and then yesfurday she spent scourin’ da web and hers books fur infurmation ‘bout this Sterile Cystitis me has. Mommy used to be this cleanin’ machine. You know dat purrson what vacuums twice a day cleans da baffroom top to bottom everyday? Well she furgets she can’t do dat anymore and cleanin’ takes a weal toll on hers.

We has two rooms wiff carpet and now-a-days it takes 4-5 hours jut to vacuum them cuz she keeps passin’ out. It’s kind of a long explanation, but to keep it short me will just say there’s sumfin’ ‘bout a nerve in hers neck what gets pinched and innerferes wiff da blood flow to da bwain wiff da back and furff motions, and…down she goes. MOL  It’s not weally all dat funny, but since sis Lexi be fwaid of da carpet monster and it must be turned off while mommy be chillin’ in da ether sphere, then it sorta kinda is. Me dusn’t know what she did afur me was born, cuz now me turns it off. But sumkitty had to do it afur me, and sis Lexi ain’t tellin’ who it was.

Anyways, da ‘spection be over fur anuvver mummff and mommy got fwu a lot of infurmation  and feels better equipped too deal wiff meez cystitis now. Weez’ll be writin’ ‘bout dat anuvver time cuz we wanna dedicate da whole post to it. Fur now weez’ll just say weez feelin’ pawsitive and workin’ on a fix. Now me wuld still like yous purrayers, and of course we wuld still like them fur sis Lexi as CKD can’t be cured, only managed.

Sis Lexi be duin’ good wight now. She be eatin’ weally well and playin’ and she looks good too. So weez weally happy ‘bout dat. Mommy sez dat she can now see dat me be feelin’ better too and she hates dat she didn’t see dat me was feelin’ poorly afur. But weez on a pawsitive note now and fings be goin’ better. So weez’ll be visitin’ and getting’ caught up today wiff all yous antics and adventures.

Me wanted to update you on da war tween mommy and me over meez noms. Mommy has won da battle and me no longer gets any Blue Beffalo kibble bits. BUT, she hasn’t won da war. MOL  Me still insists on getting’ sum dwy kibble or me won’t eat da good fur me wet noms. Weez have quite a few diffewent bags of dwy kibble in da house cuz it be more fattenin’ than da wet noms and mommy bought several kinds when she was twyin’ to put weight back on sis Lexi. So da current score in da war be: Mommy – 1 and Dezi – 1. Stay tuned as da war wages on. MOL

TruFood With Punkin’

Well weez took most of yesfurday off to take care of sum business wound da house. We have a mumfflly ‘spection comin’ up on Wednesday and mommy wanted to do sum research on meez condition. Mommy still has to run da vacuum but most of da house got finished. She didn’t however get much research dun. So weez purrobly gunna be a little scarce this week while she twies to figger out more ‘bout this Sterile Cystitis. Da battle is on wound meez food plate while she be twyin’ to make hers changes. Da RX food samples da VET sent home wiff us went over like a lead bwick. Me didn’ get any closer than 2 feet fwum da plate and me knew it wasn’t wight. Me wuldn’t even eat da wet noms cuz they was in a plate beside ‘em. So finally on Monday meownin’ mommy finally gave in and gave me sum of meez BB kibble. But she snuck sum of da Nutrish she bought fur sis Lexi when we was twyin’ to get her to gain weight. Yous know, dwy noms be way more fattenin’ than canned. Mommy sez hers next play will be a doozy. Me dusn’t know what she plans on twyin’, but meez sure we awe in fur anuvver battle. MOL

Speakin’ of food, weez got to twy sum weally pawsum food fur Chewy this mumff. Lots of our furiends have been talkin’ ‘bout da new Wellness TruFood Tasty Pairings and now we got to try them out. We got da Chicken, Pumpkin and Turkey Tasty Pairings to try. You know it be punkin’ season so it’s only wight we twy out da punkin’ flavor. These TruFood Tasty Pairings come in 3 ounce tubs and six different flavors. They be wheat and grain free and layered. Protein on da top and da pumpkin fwuit on da bottom. Course when mommy turns it out on da plate they be da udder way wound. MOL They have no fillers, no artificial purrservatives, colors or flavors.

They seem a little spongy when turned out of the container, but once broken up you can clearly see da shwedded meat. Of course mommy added a little water to them and made it a bit bwothier/soupier fur us. So, what did we fink of da Wellness Tru Food Tasty Pairings? Well sis Lexi gobbled it down. She loved every last bite and even asked fur seconds. WooHoo 4 paws up fwum sissy. Me, well me luvved da punkin’, but me only picked wound da meat. It was still a little spongy fur me. But mommy keeps offerin’ it to me specially since meez needs to change up meez diet. So me gives ‘em 2 paws up cuz da punkin’ be gweat. Purrlenty yummy.
