Blest Sunday: Friends Are Forever

MeOW Hisssssss What is that noise?!! Me thinks it’s givin’ me mommy’s migraine.

Yeah sissy, after the furst couple of hours I’s gettin’ a little annoyed too. I’s think I’s saw steam comin’ outta mommy’s ears at one point last night. I’s know I’s did this meownin’. There we was watchin’ church and tryin’ to purray when all of a sudden, Boom, Boom, Boom, plopplopplop went the ball.

That sure does get on one’s nerves. Fur the furst few hours the kid bounced that ball up and down the sidewalk. But, once she moved to the pawrkin’ lot by the cars and started throwin’ the thing in the air and tryin’ to ketch it, me thought mommy was gonna lose it. You know mommy’s always sayin’, “Our car ain’t brand new, but it’s the only car we have, and nopawdy ‘round here has the money to fix it or replace it ifin their grandkids break it.”

Pawrently some of our newer neighbors feel the same way, sissy. I’s heard somepawdy holler at her last night. Anyways, it’s Blest Sunday and you know we’ve got purrlenty to give fanky fanks fur.

You’re so right Raena. Mr. Sunshine has made an appearance more than once this past week. It was still too cold to be goin’ fur a stroll, but, it sure was nice to see.

Yep sissy, and we didn’t have to wait another 6 months to get our new powerchair adjusted. Mr. Travis the wheelchair man came out Furiday and raised the seat so mommy can not only see the counter now, she can reach it too. I’s do believe she even got our brekky made faster than usual cuz of it.

It does seem that way, doesn’t it Raena?. Me’s not sure she got faster, we just got used to how slow she was when she had to crawl ‘round and try and balance herself up against the counter when we didn’t have a chair. It’s kind’a funny how you can get used to somethin’ ifin ya’ do it long enuff.

So true sissy, so true. Mommy says ifin ya’ do somethin’ long enuff and offen enuff, it becomes a habit. That’s what she bases her Trainin’ Methods on, Repetition and Rewards.

It’s the Rewards pawrt me likes bestest. Me luvs gettin’ hugs and kisses from mommy.

Me too, sissy. Me too. Hey, did you see the nice mail we got this week? Fanky fank ya’ awnty. The green papers you sent sure will come in handy. Blessings come in all shapes and sizes and even sometimes from where ya’ least x’spect ‘em.

God always looks out fur us Raena. We also got another blessin’. We’ve had mommy workin’ on those songs that were requested, unfurtunately, she’s been a little sick and has a sore throat. So, it’s gonna be a bit longer befur we get ‘em posted. Right now she sounds like a frog. MOL But, we did get some new camera batteries. Fanks to awnty Vonda and awnty Cindy, mommy’s gonna have to try to figure out how to take a video of herself.

Oh she can take a video of herself sissy, it just doesn’t happen to be of her face. MOL Ya’ know, we have a point and shoot camera, so mommy can’t actually see what she’s pointin’ at when she’s in front of the thing and not behind it.

You’re right Raena. Altho’ me doesn’t think anypawdy wants to sit and watch mommy’s chest.

Purrobably not sissy. Oh well, she’ll figger somethin’ out, she always does. We’re blest to have a clever mommy.

And, a nice warm home and all our things and all our amazin’ furiends. Just a few days ago, one of those furiends joined sis Lexi in heaven. We were so sad to hear Timmy’s brofur Mr. Buttons had to leave this world. Uncle Pete and furmily, ya’ll are in our purrayers. We know that Buttons was well luvved and had a pawsumly amazin’ life. He will be missed, but we will always be blest to have had him in our lives. Purrlease say a purrayer fur his furmily.

I’s sure don’t unnerstand why our furiends have to leave us sissy?. But, I’s sure glad that when they do, they get to be young and healthy again.

And, we’ll see ‘em again someday Raena, don’t worry. Even in death there is a blessing. Furiendship and luv lasts furever. We’d like to remind you all to take a minute today and every day to give thanks fur the blessings in your life.

Chatting Cats: Our Christmas Wish

Hey, Is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. It’s finally that time. The time when sissy and me get to write our letters askin’ the big guy to make our Christmas dreams and wishes come true. Sissy said I’s could go furst.

Yeah right. You were bein’ a pain and mommy said me should be the big girl and let the baby get her way.

Nuh Uh She did not sissy. (Raena starts to pout)

Oh Raena. Me’s sorry. Look’it, It’s Christmas. We shouldn’t be fightin’. Just look around you. See how Blest we are? Just ‘member that when you start makin’ wishes and plannin’ dreams. Besides, mommy said we could write our letters together.

Oh sissy, I’s could never furget how blest we are. In fact, I’s been thinkin’…You’ve been writin’ letters to the man in the red suit fur a few years now. And it seems the shelters ain’t any emptier today than when you started.

Well Raena, mommy says it’s not always easy to find homes fur kitties and doggies and that Santa’s job is really more ‘bout bringin’ toys and things. Ya’ know, he’s not really in the furever home findin’ business.

Exxxxxxxx-actly sissy. That’s why I’s thinkin’ we’re askin’ the wrong purrson. It seems, when you and mommy needed to find me ya’ll were askin’ God, not some man in a red suit or any other colored suit fur that matter. Mommy says it’s always bestest to go to the source of all when you have a need. So, I’s decided we need to write us a letter to God.

Dear God,

RaenaBelle here. And Dezi too. We’s just wanna say fank You so very much fur sendin’ mommy to save us. We were so scared, and even befur we knew how to purray, You were lookin’ out fur us.

Mommy says You do that. She says You know everythin’ cuz You created everythin’. She says when You finished creating the world and all that’s in it, You thought it was good. I’s know it must break Your heart to see Your creation in the state it’s in now. I’s know how it must hurt to see how peeps treat other peeps and how some of them treat the anipals You gave them to luvs. I’s also know that You know good peeps that really need the luvs of a furry cuz you know mine’s mommy and sent her mine’s way. You also sent her to sis Dezi and all those what came befur. So, Lord, I’s askin’, purrlease find luvvin’ peeps fur the anipals who need ‘em. It’s just not fair that they should have to live and die without knowin’ luvs. What a sad life that must be. I’s grateful fur all the rescue peeps out there, but there’s nuffin’ quite like a home of your own with your own mommy or daddy.

That’s the truth Lord. But, we do ask that You help purrvide fur all those that save lives every day. And Lord, fur all those soldiers off purrtectin’ our country and those that can’t purrtect themselves, we ask that You keep them safe and in Your luvvin’ arms and let them know You’re there. Me knows they must sometimes wonder when they’re surrounded by such horrors. And God, bring them back home safe and sound to their families. Lord give our President and the rest of our government leaders wisdom. Make them good stewards and to think furst of who they serve. And God, we have so many furiends who are sick in body and really need a healing touch. And so many who face turmoil each and every day. Lord, bring them comfurt and peace.

And Father God, there are so many who have basic needs every day that they can’t meet fur whatever reason. We ask that You purrvide according to Your riches in glory. God, I’s still young and don’t know how this world works, but mommy tells us every day that You can meet every need and that You have us all in the palm of Your hand. She says, all we need is a little faith. So I’s believe You can help to make this world a better place fur all Your creations.

And Lord, we ask that You keep Your hands on mommy. She luvs us so much that she’s tryin’ her bestest to make some green papers to take better care of us. Lord, we ask that You heal her leg. The one she cut up in that fall the furst day she was gettin’ ready to leave fur work. Make it stop bleedin’ and not get infected and heal up. Help her not to pass out anymore, it’s just not safe out there fur her to fall on the ground. Give her the strength to carry on and bring her home to us each day, safe and sound.

Lord, we really have all we could have ever asked fur. You gave us a luvvin’ mommy that guaranteed us furever. So it really is our purrayer that You would grant the dreams and wishes of our furiends. And purrlease take care of all those anipals who thru no fault of their own are now livin’ outside and not sociable enuff to live in a home. Send someone to take care of them while they’re here. Lord, we thank You fur all the blessings You bestow on us each and every day. We thank You fur all our furiends and their families and ask that You bless each of them. We thank You fur our lives and fur meeting every need. We ask and purray these things in Jesus name believing…Amen.

We really do purray each and every day fur all these things, and all of you. Today is the last day of our 12 Days of Blessings Blessing Train. So, the Blessin’ we’re celebratin’ today is…Freedom. We are so truly blest to live in a country where we are free to speak our minds and worship in our own way, just to name a few of those freedoms. We’re also fankful that Annie and Pierrot and Valentine hopped on the Blessing train too. Guess our train didn’t get as long as we would have liked, but that’s okay, we’re still really blest.

Blest Sunday: Hop Aboard the Blessing Train

MeOW Raena, quit sightseein’ and c’mon. It’s time fur Blest Sunday.

Well sissy, with all the cleanin’ mommy’s been doin’, there’s lots of stuffs to see. Why do ya’ reckon mommy’s doin’ all this?

Me thinks it has somethin’ to do with the box she got fur her review. She says the jury’s still out. Me’s not sure what that means, but me thinks we’re in fur more cleanin’. MOL

I’s think you’re right sissy. I’s hope she takes a few breaks and takes us fur some strolls. The sun’s been shinin’ really bright, and mommy says he’s s’posed to be here fur a few more days. I’s so luvs goin’ fur strolls with mommy.

Me does too Raena. We’re so blest to have a mommy who luvs us so much. Ya’ know Raena, me’s been thinkin’ a lot ‘bout what we could do to make this Christmas season special. A lot of our furiends are doin’ stuffs with these advent calendars, and others are sharin’ their traditions. We don’t know anythin’ ‘bout those advent thingys, and we don’t keep a lot of the traditional traditions. So, me thought we could do a 12 Days of Blessings. Anypawdy who knows us, knows we’re all ‘bout the blessings.

That’s true sissy. We’ll find the blessin’ in the middle of the storm. I’s think 12 Days of Blessings is a great idea. Ifin we start today and post a Blessing with each post, we’ll finish up on December 22nd. Just in time fur the Christmas holiday festivities. The only purroblem I’s can see with this, is only listin’ one blessin’. Bein’ such blest kitties, how are we gonna decide which blessin’ to list?

Well Raena, we don’t have to limit it to one blessing. After all, it’s our idea, so we can make or break the rules. Maybe all of our furiends will hop on the Blessin’ Train and post their 12 Days of Blessings too. We’re not startin’ a regular blog hop, but we think everypawdy would enjoy stoppin’ fur just a minute durin’ this busy time and seein’ a Blessing every day.

Chatting Cats: Christmas Time Is Coming and We’re Busy Busy

Hey, is anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. Sissy, did you see our purretty Christmas Balls?

Me did Raena. They even motivated mommy to add some Christmas cheer to out bloggy.

Ain’t we purretty sissy? I’s luvs our Christmas look. Fanky fanks to our handsum furiend Marv and awnty Barb, we’re on our way to deckin’ the halls.

Hmmmmm Who could it be?

Well Raena, me’s not so sure ‘bout the halls, but we are feelin’ that Christmas spirit. And, we’re gonna have a play date next Wednesday to celebrate. Mommy’s purromissed to put up the Christmas tree and all the lights so our guests can enjoy ‘em too. We know everypawdy’s gonna wanna stop by to see who’s comin’ over.

I’s better clean up. Did ya’ ever feel ya’ might have too much fur?

I’s really x’cited sissy. I’s hear one of our guests luvs to play. Since you can be an old fuddy duddy, it’ll be nice to have somekitty to romp with.

Me’s no fuddy duddy Raena. You just don’t have an off button. Ya’ know, sometimes me would just like to take a nap. Ya’ don’t have to play all the time.

Yes I’s do, sissy. Mommy’s always sayin’ life’s too short, we’ve gotta make the most of it. I’s don’t wanna miss a minute of play time.

Me thinks ya’ got it a little mixed up, Raena. Mommy always says that when she’s luvvin; on us. She says she doesn’t wanna miss the oppurr-tunity to hold us and let us know how much we’re luvved.

Like we could ever furget that, sissy. Mommy must luvs on us a hunnert million gazillion times a day. But, I’s wouldn’t want her to stop. I’s sure luvs getting’ luvvin’ from mommy. Did mommy tell ya’ we’re gonna have a Christmas Gift List next week? We’re gonna get to feature some our favorite purroducts that would make pawsum gifts fur all the furries and their peeps.

This is one strange box.

Me knows. It’s gonna be great. We’ll be showin’ stuffs in just ‘bout every purrice range. We even have a give away fur one of our favorites. And, Service Cat Monday, we’re gonna be meowin’ ‘bout one of a kitties basic needs. Anypawdy who has a kitty is gonna wanna stop by.

Hey sissy, even mommy’s gonna get in on the reviewin’ this month. She hardly ever gets to review anythin’, so we’re really x’cited ‘bout this.

You’re right Raena. Me can’t even ‘member the last time mommy got somethin’ to review. She says it’s okay tho’. She says it makes her happy to see us get new stuffs.

She does at that sissy. But, I’s think she says it cuz that’s what mommy’s are s’posed to say. I’s know she gets really x’cited when she gets new stuffs too. Anyways, it’s linin’ up to be a busy month fur us, that’s fur sure.

You’re right ‘bout that, Raena. We better get off here and help mommy get the Christmas tree outta the closet. Did you ever get inside the other day when mommy dragged out the leaf blower?

I’s not made it in there yet, sissy. But I’s ready to try again. I’s been purracticin’ my “sneak by ya’” moves and I’s think today just might be mine’s lucky day.
