Blest Sunday: A Gift Storm

Oh sissy can you hear dat big ole storm outside?

 

 Yez Dezi, I hearz it. I know mommyz really glad dat youz not hidin’ out unner da bed cuz of it. Altho’ da livin’ room floor kinda lookz like storm Dezi hit in here yesfurday what wiff all da boxez and wrappin’ paperz and scattered toyz. MOL

Well me has to tell ya’, me gave dat a lot of thought and unner da bed sounded purretty good; but me wanted to be wiff mommy and play wiff all da pawsum things we got fur Christmas from our furiends. And since you wasn’t up to openin’ da purresents me had to do it all meez self. Mommy will clean up da mess. Dat’s what mommys do, right?

We shur did get a lot of gret toys and treatz didn’t we Dezi. I know I wazn’t in much of a Christmas mood on Christmas day, but I shur do purreshayte all da scoutz dat included giftz fur me. And da great stockin’ we got from awnty Sylvie, Cleo, Mika and Patteron waz full of toyz. And da great nomz awnty Jennifer sent us shur are tazty. Thank yawl so much.

 Sure ‘nuff Lexi. We are so blest. We wanna say a meowsy big Thank you to scout Cat, her brofur Nugget and awnty Lisa, scouts Gracie and Anya and their mommy, scouts Timmy and Einstein and their furmily, scout Sammy Pilch, awnty Ellen and their furmily, scouts Dora and Tiger and their fursibs Trouble and Spooky and their furmily, scouts Charles and Foxy and their furmily, and even mr. W who brought us a little gift bag with a mousey and can of noms each.

Yep sissyfur they are awl such pawsum furiendz. And maybe mommy iz getting’ fru to mr. W after awl. He got hiz kitty Buddy sum great Christmas giftz too.   

 

Girls I would like to thank your friends too. A lot of them included gifts and/or gift cards for me in their packages. Yes I had the leaky eyes, but they were tears of joy and humility. To see my girls have so much fun enjoying their new toys makes my heart swell with happiness. We appreciate all of you and are so grateful for your friendship and love. And I’m so thankful to have had another amazing year with you girls. I pray we have many, many more.

Yep mommy we are so thankful to all those who stop by fur a visit and read our blog, facebook posts, tweets, instagram posts and comment, share and like. And we are thankful fur all those who have shared their love, furiendship, money, and purrayers with us. We wouldn’t be here without all of you. So from da bottom of our hearts we thank you. Me has to go now so we can schedule this posty afur da storm knocks us off da catputer. And me wants to play wiff meez new toys. Weez ‘spectin’ da white stuff and more rain and sleet, so we’ll be by to visit as we can.

Our Christmas Story

Meownin’ sissy. Is it time to wake up mommy yet? (Dezi stretches and yawns)

   It’z Christmas Dezi. It’z fur shur time to wake up mommy.  (Lexi stretches out her arm    and pats mommy on the leg with her dainty paw) 

Christmas? Oh sissy me luvs Christmas. (Dezi stands totally awake and walks onto mommy’s chest and starts massaging and purring. Then she starts swooshing her fluffy tail back and forth over mommys face)

    (Mommy slowly opens her eyes and speaks) Good morning girls. Merry Christmas.      I love you both sooooooo much. I’m the blestest mommy in the universe. (Dez continues    to swoosh her fluffy tail)  Dezi, please stop swooshin’ I’d rather not have a mouth full     of fur this morning. (Dezi stops swooshing and crawls off mommy’s checst and settles   in to massage her arms and legs while Lexi gets the wheelchair positioned)

Oh meowllo everypawdy and Merry Christmas to you all. By now most of you have started celebrating with your own traditions. We thought today we would share our Christmas traditions with you. And afur me furgets, weez joinin da Pet Parade as we do every weekend. Our meownin’ starts out just like any other day, but soon da traditions will begin. After we all get around and sissy and me have our breakfast and mommy has a cup of coffee or two we settle in to start our celebrations. Mommy usually tells da story but today she sed I kuld. So pull up a chair and grab you sum coffee or your drink of choice.

Open da Bible to da story mommy, you know da one ‘bout God luvvin’ us so much dat He gave His only Son so dat whoever believed in Him kuld have eternal life. John 3:16 (paraphrased) And then da one ‘bout how Jesus got here.

So, a long time ago in a place very far away, lived a girl and her betrothed. Dat’s a fiance` in case you was wunnerin’. Well peeps had kind of lost site of God and doin’ right. But God knew all was not lost and decided to send His only Son to earth to save us all from sin and hell. The very furst Christmas purresent was born, literally. Happy Birffday Jesus. But Jesus isn’t just fur Christmas, He’s fur da whole year fru. Jesus was born in a lowly stable full of anipals. Da furmily didn’t have much, but they had lots and lots of luv. And so long as you have luv and God in your life, you can make it fru anyfin’. We are so blest cuz we have each other and now all our furiends from all round da world cuz of da innernets. 

 

So after mommy tells us da story, we sing lots of carols and songs together. And then we settle in to purray and thank God fur all da blessings in our lives and His gift to da world. And then we’ll be openin’ up all those pawsum purresents we got. And as we open each one we’ll say a little purrayer askin’ God to bless them fur includin’ us. And then we’ll all snuggle together and take a little nap. Da day will be over afur we know it, but next year when it comes around again, you’ll find us doin’ da very same thing. There’s nuffin’ wrong with a little tradition.

Heavenly Father, we come to You in the Name of Jesus and we wanna thank you for all da many blessings in our lives. Thank You fur sendin’ Your Son, dat we might have life abundantly. Thank you dat we have today together and that we can share Your love with others. Thank you soooooo much fur all our wunnerful furiends and furmily Lord, and purrlease send your angels to watch over them and pour out Your blessings on them. Many are sick in body. Father, we ask dat You wuld send them healing or give da doctors da knowledge to help them. Many are lonely and/or depressed. We thank You fur wrapping them in Your arms of comfurt and rest and giving them peace. And Lord too many are meeting today suffering from sadness due to a recent loss. Father we know dat You know best, but da hurt can’t be reasoned with so we ask You to give comfort where none is found. Lord we thank You fur caring fur all Your cweations and keeping us all safe from harm. Lord me and mommy sure do thank You fur givin’ us another year with sis Lexi and ask dat you continue to keep her and give her strength to continue on. We thank you so much fur all those who have helped us this past year with money, purrayers, gifts and luv. We thank you fur returning da blessing ten fold fur them. Thank you fur helping me get and stay well. Dat Cystitis was no fun. Lord we thank you fur usin’ us to bless others and givin’ us da ability to bless. We thank You fur purrvidin’ peace where there’s war, healin’ among da sick, comfurt to da lonely, guidance to da lost, and thank you fur keeping Your hands on each and every one of us. God, You know da needs whether they be big or small and we thank you fur meeting them. We ask Your blessings and wisdom go with us in da coming New Year so dat we can grow and spread more luv to more people. We ask and purray these things in Jesus Name believing, and we give You all da purraise and all da glory furever, Amen

It’s Christmas Eve 2015

It’s finally here. It’s Christmas Eve!!! Like you didn’t already know dat. MOL  Anyways, as purromissed, mommy helped us make a purretty wiff all our pawsum Christmas cards dat we received and a few fotos of sum of da gifts we purreviewed. We do hope you enjoy it and are havin’ da happiest of days.

Sissy is restin’ and has kept down last nights dinner and this meownin’s breakfast. We’re still purrayin’ she comppletely bounces back, and will keep you updated. We Need Your Prayers

Well here we are just 2 more days till Christmas. Can you believe it? It’s been a crazy year here and has gone by so fast. Too fast really. As most of you know sis Lexi was diagnosed with CKD last January and it has been a roller coaster ride since then. Furst there was da trying to find foods she kuld eat dat she wuld eat. And not just once, but again and again. Overnight sissy went from da kitty who ate anyfin’ what didn’t eat her furst to bein’ as finicky as me. Talk ‘bout furustratin’ fur mommy. It sure is. And ifin CKD isn’t bad enuff, those same kitties are prone to other issues as well. So you never know what kind of day you’re gunna have from minute to minute.

You know since goin’ to BlogPaws sissy’s been duin’ purretty good. She’s had a few bad days, but mostly good. Mommy was hopin’ to ride dat high fur at least another year. But yesfurday sissy didn’t eat much bweakfastt afur she was off to have a meownin’ nap. Mommy didn’t worry too much cuz she had eaten a really big dinner da night afur. But later yesfurday afternoon, Lexi suddenly started pacin’ da floor and meowin’ her dispurrleased low yeowl. And then she threw up what little she did eat fur bwekky. Oh but it didn’t stop there. She then climbed in da litter box and only sprinkled a little. And what she sprinkled was nuffin’ more than blood drops. Yep, weez on da roller coaster and zoomin’ downhill. Yep UTI’s are commonplace in CKD kitties and sissy has another one. And yep, again da VET was out of reach. Yes we know we need a new VET but it’s not dat easy. Since we don’t have any where we live and have to dwive a good distance, we have to make sure we kuld get there ifin there was a real mergency. We have now twied all da VETs in da town wiff our current VET so now weez gotta start checkin’ a few other towns round us which of course takes time, money and gas. Sumfin’ we don’t have at da moment.

Mommy sez she dusn’t know which is worse, da kidney disease or all da illnesses and issues dat occur because of it. And of course everytime sissy takes a down turn, mommy gets terrified dat she won’t bounce back this time. So yesfurday she was hollerin’ at God and tellin’ Him dat He kuldn’t have Lexi yet, and dat she kuldn’t go thru another Christmas loss.  10 years ago sissy and mommy lost Lucky on Christmas and Ransom 5 years ago a little afur Thanksgivin’. Sissy posted an update on da fundraiser and we wuld purreciate any help you can give. We wanna say a meowsy big Thank you to all who have helped so far. We’ll fur sure keep you posted as to how sissy be duin’. We wuld also purreciate your purrayers.

You know this disease is pawful and altho it’s more common in older kitties, it can affect younger ones as well. While mommy was cleanin’ all da mess and dealin’ wiff sis Lexi one of meez fellow scouts made a purrayer request post at scouts. Meez furiend Mau from da Kitties Blue, you know da Sunday Selfie’s kitties; well hims sisfur Fiona was just diagnosed with CKD. At only 5 years old, this news has devastated da furmily. Purrlease send sum purrayers Fiona’s way too. They are tryin’ to stabilize her so they can come up wiff a treatment plan. Purrlease go by and share sum luv wiff them.

Neever of us awe ready to lose our sisfurs. Mommy sez we will enjoy Christmas and won’t accept sissy not bein’ here to share it wiff us.
