Meowllo evewypawdy and a happy and Blest Sunday to you all. Yep dat’s wight. It’s time fur ow weekly blest Sunday posty. And OMC Hav fings been on a woller coaster fur us this week. As you know it stawted out wiff Sissy goin’ to da office of torture on Monday and they made us wait all week fur da wesults. Mommy be tweatin’ sissy’s infection wiff sumfin’ naturwal till da Vet calls us back and purrscwibes sumfin’ else. A culture wuz posed to be dun on hers uwine but wiff all da incompetence weez sperienced fwum dat udder Vets office weez guessin’ they didn’t do it. So it’s pawsible dat we may hav to hav Lexi go in fur anudder uwinalysis. Mommy sure hopes not. And it’’s not just cuz of da gween papers, it’s cuz  sissy’s been poked enuff fur a bit mommy sez. So even tho’ this whole sperience wiff this udder Vet wuz pawful, weez coountin’ it as a blessin’ cuz we wuz able to finally get sissy’s wesults. And they be much better than we kuld have hoped fur.

Sis Lexi can purretty much eat whatever hers wants cuz hers nummews awe so good. Dat means dat maybe we can put sum weight back on her. So mommy’s actually lookin’ fur sum fattenin’ foods wight now. And weez also blest cuz da suppowt gwoup we joined is full of such pawsumly nice and helpful peeps and kitties goin fwu a lot of da same fings we awe. And we awe blest to have so many pawsum furiends and fwamily dat be purrayin’ fur sissy and mommy and me. Mommy sez dat’s why she finks sis Lexi be duin’ so good. Altho’ Lexi is complainin’ dat hers neck itches. Mommy told her dat wuz purrfectly nowmal wiff da fur gwoin’ back. And Lexi be pawfully glad it’s gwoin’ back cuz she sed they did a pawful shave job on her. It’s completely uneven and jagged. Well anyways, we sure do wanna fank all of ya’ fur yous continued purrayers and suppowt.

All of you inspire us in so many different ways. And all of you we didn’t list inspire us too. Now weez post to list 3 things dat inspired us in da last week.

Da furst, mommy and me hav to say sis Lexi. She wuz put fwu da winger at da Vets office. Weez not exaggeratin’ when we say it wua a torture chamber. But fwu it all she wemained calm and mostly docile. She nevew attempted to bite or smacky paw or nuffin. Ifin dat ain’t awe inspiwin’ me don’t know what is.

Da Results Are Here

Meowllo evewypawdy and happy Caturday. Well weez didn’t get any visitin’ dun yesfurday, and may not get much dun today eevew. And nope it wusn’t cuz we wuz out stwollin’ eevew. We finally got sis Lexi’s test wesults in da mail. And yous know what? They purrppussly sent them to da wrong addwess. Oh yes they did. And yep yous guessed it, mommy’s livid. Then on top of dat when she opened them da furst page had sissy’s urinalysis on it and It clearly shows an infection. Dat’s wight, there’s an infection. And da VET sed in da email she sent us as well as on da fone when she talked wiff mommy dat there wuz no infection whatsoevew. So sissy be havin an infection and maybe even pain and not getting’ any tweatment whatsoevew. Mommy feels just pawful dat all this be happenin’ to Lexi. Well mommy spent most of da day pourin’ ovew those wesults twyin’ to figger it all out, and postin’ ‘em to Tanya’s site so we kuld get sum help figgewin’ all this out. Weez not postin’ da wesults here as we don’t know how many of ya’ wuld care to see them or unnewstand what yous be lookin’ at.

Weez hav this new foto ap dat mommy found and well, weez kuldn’t even begin to tell ya’ what she did. Da only fing weez member is addin’ watercolor flter to a weally blurry foto.

 

 

 

Da one fing we did learn fur sure is dat sissy’s phosphorous levels dat we wuz so worried ‘bout actually be low, too low in fact. You know what dat means? She can hav any food she wants and as much of it as she wants. Well gotta tell ya’ dat makes sissy happy. Or at least it will when she figgers it out. She just tried a food dat she luvs, luvs, luvs. It’s callled Soulistic Tri-Fusion Tuna wiff Salmon, beef and duck in gravy. Moommy set da plate down and walked into da livin’ room and set meez plate down and walked back to da kitchen to get hers cup of coffee, and sissy’s plate wuz licked clean. Yep, empty, evewyfin’ wuz gone and sissy wuz smackin’ hers lips. And this is a food dat wuz borderline fur her ifin she needed to lower hers phosphorous levels, but now dat she dusn’t have to worry ‘bout dat she kuld have this all day long.

Well anyways, we hope to get back to visitin’ soon but mommy duz need to work on makin’ a plan fur sissy’s care furst. Hers got to check on sum supplements dat be wecommended fur all CRF/CKD kitties like B-12, and figger out what to do ‘bout sissy’s infection. So it may be a busy day on da fone/puter/road fur mommy. Meowllo evewypawdy, awe ya’ weady fur da weekend? Cuz It’s Here!!! WooHoo And weez posed to get sum purretty wedder wiff sum sunshine. Dat means…weez gunna go fur a stwoll. Me can’t wait to get out in da sunshine and smell da outside. Okay meez purrawlly gunna stawt sneezin’ a bit but it’ll be fun afur dat happens. MOL Now afur me goes any furder me wants to wemind you alll dat evewy week we join up wiff Rascal and Rocco’s Pet Pawade Blog Hop. Anyways, wecently sissy posted da horror dat wuz hers VET visit and we actually got a foo comments dat took mommy way back. So we fawt we wuld quickly give you ow take on dat subject. As you know mommy went back wiff Lexi to have hers blood work and uwinalysis. And as you know it didn’t go well. Altho’ da techs didn’t want mommy to come, they allowed it. Now we know why they didn’t want her there. But twuff is, VETs used to tell peeps to let da tech hold their animal or take the animal out of da room fur all shots and tweatments and tests. They wuld telll peeps dat it wuz to keep yous pet fwum associatin’ bad fings wiff you, their hooman. How many of you have heard dat? Purrawlly most of ya’.

Da one we like is, “your pet does so much better without you there.” Ya’ wanna know why? It’s cuz ifin yous not there to speak up and purrtect yous pet, they can do whatever they want or feel they need to in order to make yous pet comply. Da only time dat sayin’ be twu is ifin yous one to fweak out at da sight of blood, needles, or da sound or sight of yous pet squirmin, fightin’ or yelpin’/mewin’. As fur yous pet associatin’ you wiff da bad ifin yous purresent, dat’s just not twu. And ifin these fotos of Lexi don’t purrove It to ya’, well then keep sendin’ yous baby off wiff da tech. Dat’s okay and nopawdy be judgin’ ya’ least of all us. It took evewyfin’ mommy had to maintain her cool and not lose it or jump all ovew those girlies at sissy’s pointment. And twust us, they haven’t heard da last fwum mommy. We just wanted you to know dat yous not have to believe dat myth anymore. We also say no matter how well you like and twust yous VET it nevew hurts to be purresent at least once in a while. Ifin fur no udder weason than to keep them on their toes. We also wanna fank all of ya’ dat be wecommendin’ Tanya’s CRF site to us. Weez awe alweady aware of da site and dat’s da suppowt gwoup we wuz talkin’ ‘bout.

Now today be shoppin’ wound da world wiff Bacon and Fozziemum. Twuff is mommy hasn’t bought gwocewies in quite sum time, so weez gunna give ya’ da purrices we found in da local stowre here. Which by da way now has a new owner. They purrawmissed lower purrices, but most peeps be complainin’ dat they waised da purrices. We didn’t find dat to be da case, but it’s not owned by a local anymowe and in a town this size, dat be enuff to cause peeps not to like anyfin’ ‘bout it. Anyways, on wiff da shoppin’ list.

Da furst item up is Milk. A gallon of da off/stowre bwand at da Dollaw Genewal be $4.65 and .10 cents mowe at Fwamily Dollaw and da gwocewy.

Da next item is tomatoes. Romas wuz on sale this week and da only ones da stowre had in stock. They wuz .79 cents a pound We don’t know how many dat wuld get ya’ as there’s no scale at da gwocewy store. So yous kinda take yous chances on by da pound stuffs.  

Da next item…a canned purroduct. Da stowre bwand of corn, gween beans, peas, etc. be $1.29.  

Then Bacon asked fur a Random item and a homemade dish. Mommy dusn’t make much these days, but she checked da purrices fur a one of hers favowit meals fwum her yunger days when she worked and had munny. She luvved a good ole steak dinner. So, da NY stwip(small) wuz: $11.69, da Filet wuz: $12.58. A nice size bakin’ potato wuz: $2.00. Butter be $4.25 fur a pound and mommy weally likes da butter so fur a nice big tater she wuld need at least a 1/2 stick so ‘bout .60 cents fur butter and she likes cheese on hers tater. Hers favowit cheese is Cabot Sharp cheddar at $9.75 fur 2 lbs. so it wuld cost ‘bout $1.21 fur cheese. And she ‘cided a package of dinner rolls wuld be cheaper than makin’ ‘em herselff, so they wuld cost $1.89 fur da stowre bwand. This be way too much munny so mommy didn’t add in a salad or any udder sides. So a homemade dinner wuld cost $17.39 to $18.28.  OMC dat’s one meal. No wunnew mommy dusn’t buy gwocewies.

Anyways, ow random item wuz low phosphorous cat food. Da Solistic bwand 3 ounce packet wuz $1.29. Well so there it is, anudder wound of Shoppin’ wound da world wiff Bacon and Fozziemum. We can’t wait to see what evewypawdy else is payin’.

No News…=No News??

Meowllo evewypawdy. Can you believe it weez alweady half way fwu this week. Mommy sez weez gunna get sum visitin’ dun today. We do hav a pointment wiff yet anudder new case manager. Da last one got fired fur sleepin’ on da job. hers fell asleep here duwin’ hers last visit wiff us. She had asked moommy a question and while mommy wuz answerin’ she just fell asleep. So mommyh wuz assigned anudder new case manager and she’s posed to come out and meet wiff mommy tomowwo. Da pointment wuz schedulled 2 weeks ago and she’s not called since then or even weconfurmed da pointment so mommy sez shez will be supwised ifin da lady shows up. But hey, anyfin’s pawssible, wight?

Well hope yous all wead sis Lexi’s account of da “new” vet visit yesfurday. Weez waited and OMC mommy got madder than a wet hen. Not know why a hen gets mad when wet, but mommy wusn’t even wet and hers wuz sum kinda angwy. Mommy sez dat ifin those tests hadn’t been so purrtant and weez kulda found anudder VET to do da blood work she wuldn’t put upp wiff any of it. She’s mad at hers sellff fur makin’ sissy go fwu dat specially since weez bein’ tweated like dirt by da overpurriced VET. She opened a email fwum da VET’s office dat shulda contained all da test wesults. Stead, here’s what it sed:

We have reviewed the lab report and urinalysis for Alexandra. All are consistent with kidney disease, and not likely due to an infection. Dr Dunn recommends continue all current therapy, and suggests Hills Science Diet Prescription K/D. We have this available at our clinic. Keep track of appetite. Alexandra could have an increase in BUN/creatinine levels at any time. Please do not hesitate to call the clinic and schedule an exam if Alexandra’s condition changes. Return to the clinic in 1 month for bloodwork. You may call 226-1818 to get this scheduled. Alexandra may also have  her blood pressure checked at this time.

Yep dat’s a copy and paste. No fone call fwum da VET as wuz purrawmissed and no test wesults of any kind. Just those foo lines, dat in ow email wuz a total of 6 lines. So mommy called da office and OMC dat didn’t turn out well eevew. Finally da VET called and sed they kuldn’t email da test wesults cuz their scanner wusn’t connected to da internet. Yous all know how unsmawt we awe ‘bout all this tech stuffs. Well even we know dat’s nuffin’ but an excuse. So da doctow tells mommy they will snail mail her a hawd copy and send them out tomowwo. (which at this point is today). All da VET kuld talk ‘bout wuz Lexi comin’ back in fur a wepeat of tests and dat blood purressure check. Gotta tell ya’ weez just got chawged and paid $160.00 fur sumfin’ we haven’t even seen yet. Weez not be in any hurry to put sis Lexi  fwu all that again wiffout seein’ sumfin’ to show fur dat munny. VET’s wound here ain’t hurtiin’ fur business so they pawently don’t hav to tweat their patients wiff any kind of wespect or kindness. Quite fwankly ifin sissy wusn’t actually sick not sure we wuld see a VET fur a while mommy’s so fed upp wiff ‘em. Anyways, all dat too say weez still weally got nuffin’ to tell ya. Once we get da wesults weez’ll let ya’ know. Sumtimes no news isn’t good news, it’s just No News.

Now onto sumfin’ ‘bout me. Me wuz hangin’ out on da top of oow twee yesfurday and weally enjoyin’ da sunshine. It wuz actually warm enuff dat da a/c kept comin’ on. Anyways, me was loungin’ when me heard a buzz. And then sumfin’ flew by me. It wuz goin’ fast. me jumped up and down da twee me came. Me wuz gunna get it. Mommy kep sayin’ she sure hoped it wusn’t a wasp. You know she be dat deadly lergic to those and no epi pen in da house. Guess what? Dat’s zactly what it wuz. Me chased him into da curtains and mommy captured him wiff a empty coffee can. Now me knows why she saves all those cans. But mommy kuldn’t hav caught him ifin me hadn’t skeered him into da curains. Me purrtected mommy and kep her safe. She wuz so purroud of me. She told me so. Mommy not be as gentle natured as Fozziemum is wiff fings dat can kill her, so weez not hav any fotos. Mommy smuddered himand squished him. So hims didn’t show up in da foto. MOL Anyways,
