Meowllo evewypawdy, and a happyTuesday to yous all. A while back meez posted ‘bout meez new hawness and showed yous all fotos of me wearin’ it and luvin’ it. And then a bit later me told yous all dat mommy had put it on me duwin’ a weally bad stowm we had and it seemed to help me. Specially since me hates da fundershirt and won’t keep it on so weez hav no idea ifin it wuld work. Well meez has sum new furiends since then and sum of them awe workin’ on leash and hawness twainin’ and sum awe workin’ on becomin’ Therapy animals, so me fawt me wuld make a little posty ‘bout me and meez hawness ifin nuffin’ else to giv their hoomans hope dat sumday their furbabies will be stwuttin’ their stuff too.

As yous know me and sis Lexi awe Service cats. Now dat’s not da same as a Therapy or Companion animal and we covered those distinctions early on, and yous can read dat posty here. Anyways, pawt of bein’ a workin’ animal wegardless of which one yous awe is dat yous will hav to go outside and twavel wiff yous hooman at sum point. And yous gunna hav to wear a leash. Well what dat leash is attached to can be numerous fings, but mommy purrfurs and so duz me, da harness. And weez purrfur da jacket style hawness ovew da fin stwappy ones. Ifin yous hav a badge it can be attached or sewn onto yous jacket hawness much easier. Mommy wuz gunna sew meez Service badge on meez hawness, but hers decided to attach it to da stwoller instead, cuz meez always in there when weez go out unless weez awe visitin’ sumpawdy. But meez job is to take cawe of mommy. And cuz she found out it works so well when weez hav stowms. Sumtimes da badges make them a little stiff. So meez badge is on da stwoller and meez can wear da hawness anytime fur any weason.
Yep yous read wight. It’s stormin’ and meez not hidin’. Meez luvvin’ me hawness mowe evewyday.
And guess what? Meez been wearin’ it a lot lately. Weez been havin sum pawful stowms here. Let me tell ya’ they’ve been so pawful even mommy’s been jumpin’ sum and not able to sleep fwu them. Mommy sez da funder and lightning has been so loud and stwikin’ so close to ow pawtment dat even hers has been a little worried. See weez hav nuffin’ but woods behind ow pawtment and lots and lots of twees. Mommy sez all those tall twees awe like a bunch of lightnin’ rods. It’s a fire waitin’ to happen. And hers been so excited ‘bout hers new chair dat yous all helped get hers, she hasn’t wanted to leav it. MOL But fur meez new and yous older furiends too we took a little video of me and meez hawness duwin’ a wecent stowm. Da idea bein’ don’t giv up. Even ifin yous kitty dwops like dead weight when yous first put da hawness on ‘em, keep da faiff. A foo minutes a day at first and work up fwum there. Once kitty is comfy wiff da hawness, attach da leash and leav it fur a foo minutes a day. Eventually add yous selff to da udder end and work up to goin’ outside. But purrlease member to tweat yous kitty fur fleas and all da dangers and hazards of outside life afur yous take them out into da big bad world. And make suwe yous kitty has tags, a micwoship or tattoo. Sum form of identification in da event of da worst. And when weez say tattoo, weez not mean “awt”. Lexi has an ID tattoo in hers ear, cuz when she wuz little dat wuz da pawpular method of id’in’ an animal. It wuz like da purrcursor to da micwochip. Which sis Lexi and me also hav. And a small update, all da boxes awe unpacked, and now mommy’s twyin’ to get evewyfin’ put back where it belongs. Mostly knick knacks and such, but cuz hers keeps twyin’ to be too many places at once and hers awfur-itis is actin’ up cuz of all da rain, she just hasn’t had enuff time yet to get it dun. But don’t worry, weez member yous all wanna tour da house and da new stuffs. 🙂

OMC Summew is here!!! Fank catness fur da air conditionew in da caw cuz t wus so hot meez furs curled. So meez and mommy had tu go tu hers specialist yesfurday and of course da only ‘pointment wus in da middle of da day. Dat be when is hottest out. So anyways wight afur wees left da mail lady came and ow neighbow mr. W came stwollin’ up da walk and sed hims wuld check ow mail fur us. Mommy gav hims da keys and put meez in da stwollew and gathered up hers fings so wees kuld leav when hims got back. Here hims came and hims had a package and an envelope. When mommy opened da doow hims sed, “Looks like Dezi got all the mail today.” Well it wus early and so mommy opened da stwollew and wees went and sat down tu open da package and da lettew.
OMC Meez had won da Furminator deshedding tool fwum Cinco and Manna ovew at da Playful Kitty. Fank yous fuw havin’ da givaway wees awe so happy tu hav won. But dis wus just a foo days ago so meez fawt fur suwe dat it wuld be a foo weeks afur wees got it. Wees got tu choose which one wees wanted and since sis Lexi luvs evew bwush and comb on da mawket (and purrawlly a foo dat haven’t even been invented yet) wees decided on da long haired deshedding tool fuw meez fur. Guess what?? Meez luvs it!!! 😀 Mommy wus so excited cuz meez not weally likes tu get bwushed. Hers has always been fankful dat meez bweed not mat or else meez kuld be a matted mess da way meez dusn’t sit sits fuw a bwushin’. MOL

So wees had a little bwush and then opened da lettew. It wus a bootyful cawd fwum ow furiend Maggie Meme, awnty Cindy and furmily. And inside da cawd wus many gween papews. Fank yous so much. Just wait’ll yous see what mommy bought fuw sis Lexi and me wiff sum of da gween papews. Mommy sez wees hav tu wait a foo days fur yous all tu see it weally well so wees not hav fotos yet, but mommy purromises it’s gunna be pawsum!!!

Okay packages opened and sum fotos taken wees wus off again. So out da doow and tu da caw. Wees had tu stop and get sum gas, and mommy tuwned off da caw. WTC Hers sed it wus cuz is a wule. Fuw sum weason da pawssibility exists fuw a blowup or fiwe ifin yous caw is wunnin’ while yous pumpin’ gas intu it. Da wind fwum da open windows wusn’t cool at all. Dat wus da hottest 3 minutes of da whole twip. And meez let mommy know dat me wus vewy dis-purrleased ’bout da whole situation. MOL Hers got back in da caw and a/c back on high meez cooled off again and wees wus on ow way. When wees got tu da doctow mommy wus able tu pawk undew a big twee so da caw wuld hopefully be a little cool when wees came back out. Mommy and da doctow talked a bit and den hims told mommy she needed mowe tests and pawssibly suwgewy. Hims sent us tu da fwunt tu schedule evewfin’.
So looks like Fursday mommys goin’ intu da hospital fuw mowe tests. Ifin they find anyfin’ while they’s in there, fankfully they can take it out while there. Well, not evewfin’ but hopefully whatevew be wong wiff mommy is sumfin’ they can take out then. Hims also sent us back ovew tu da hospital fuw mowe bloodwork. So tu da hospital wees went and bloodwork dun wees wus off again. Mommy decided since hers had sum gween papews wees wuld make a kupple stops and pick up sum noms fuw hers tu eat cuz hers can’t eat anyfin’ stawtin’ on Wednesday. Fankfully tho’ hers can hav all da coffee and coke hers wants. MOL Mommy’s gunna be flyin’ high on caffeine fuw suwe. MOL And meez can’t go wiff hers on Fursday so meez a little peeved ’bout dat, but mommy sez hers will be out on da good dwugs so it’s fuw da bestest.
Anyways wees went ovew tu da Walmawt and OMC da place wus like a zoo!!! Meez not seen dat many people there at one time accept maybe Christmas. Kids wus evew where scweamin’ and pointin’ at meez and wunnin’ up tu da stwollew and mommy wus gettin’ a headache. Dat wus da quickest twip wees evew made tu Walmawt. MOL MOL Then wees made one mowe stop where mommy bought ow goody (wees will tell yous in a kupple of days) and mommy sed meez kuld hav sum bacon fuw bein’ such a good kitty wiff all da comotion. So wees stopped at da golden awches and got a bacon buwgew and headed home. By da time wees got home, mommy wus wiped out. Meez?? Meez wus bouncin’ off da walls fwum all da ‘citement of da day. Well meez fawt dat since meez told yous all ’bout meez Therapy work Sunday, dat meez wuld tell yous ’bout a twip wees made yesfuwday where meez wus workin’ as a Service Cat. And as is nowmal fuw us, fiings did not go as planned. MOL First meez gunna giv yous a little backgwound cuz meez not membew what all meez told yous. Since wees stawted out on Facebook sumtimes wees fuwget what all wees shawed where. Meez wus always gunna be a Service Cat fuw mommy, so when hers bwought meez home hers wuld take me evew where. As meez has told yous wees liv in a vewy small town. Purretty much evewfin’ yous need is on Main Stweet in a block of each uddew. So mommy wuld take meez tu da Post Office tu be weighed and then fwu da dwiv fwu at da bank (fuw tweats); 🙂 and den tu da Fawmacy fuw sum socializin’ and a dwink of water. So da fawmacy folks like lookin’ meez ovew and visitin’ wiff meez.

Now tu yesfuwday. Mommy had sum medicine hers wus ‘posed tu pick up Furiday when wees got back, but hers completely fuwgot and wees just came home and shes cwashed. So Munday wus da fiwst day da Fawmacy wus open dat hers kuld get hers medicine. Mommy called da fawmacy and they told her dat hers medicine wus weady so hers got weady tu go and put meez hawness on and intu meez stwoller, and wees wus off. Now usually when meez on duty as a Service Cat meez stays in meez stwoller. But of course when wees go tu da fawmacy They always like tu hold meez and pet me and coo ovew meez. So, mommy put da camewa down tu take meez out of da stwoller, and let meez out. Sumhow while meez wus out sumpawdy stepped on meez leash and it caused meez hawness tu bweak. (it’s only 20 years old–mol) Well now meez havin’ a good time wandewin’ all ovew da stowe. Mommy’s fweakin’ out and twyin’ tu get me and meez finkin’ wees playin’ a game. Fwu da shelves and ovew da countew and undew da swingin’ doow. Evewpawdy but mommy’s laffin’ and hollewin’, “go Dezi go.” Mommy wus not amused, and hers sed, “Deztinee Izabella get over here right now!!” Ooooops, Play time’s ovew. MOL Meez went wunnin’ stwaight tu mommy and intu da stwoller. Nope there’s no fotos, mommy can’t chill out and enjoy da moment. MOL Now meez gunna hav tu wear dat old show lead til mommy can affowd tu get meez a new hawness. Meez hates dat fing. It gets meez fuws caught up in it. Bet mommy gets meez a new hawness soon. Cuz hers hates meez fuws bein’ caught up and pulled out tu. MOL
And now fuw meez big news. Meez got purrmoted dis weekend. Yous now lookin’ at da newest Bobcat membew of Cat Scouts. Meez wus so excited!!!! 🙂 Lots of desewvin’ Scouts wus purrmoted dis weekend, and meez just wanna say ConCatulations tu yous all. Ifin yous lookin’ fuw fun and adventuwe, yous might wanna join up. Wees gunna be havin’ a weal live old fashioned sock hop Furiday July da 11ff. And guess what?? Meez has a date. 😀 Hims a vewy sweet handsum fellow Cat Scout named Andy. Meez purretty excited. Dis will be meez first sock hop and meez vewy first evew date. 🙂
Well as meez told yous yesfurday meez gunna tell yous all ’bout Furiday and da fun mommy and me had. Meez gunna stawt wiff Fursday cuz dat’s when all da plans wus made. Wees had planned fuw mommy tu go tu sleep eawly in da day and wake up weally eawly cuz hers ‘pointment wus at 7 a.m.. Well of course dat didn’t happen. MOL So mommy didn’t make it tu bed. Nex time hers looked up it wus 5:30 a.m. and time fuw us tu get weady tu go. So wees got evewfin’ tugeddew and off wees went.
When wees got tu da hospital and checked in, mommy asked ’bout visitin’. They told hers which floows wus open tu visits and hoo tu talk tu on those floows, and wees went tu wait fuw mommys test. Mommy had been dwinkin’ coffee and coke all night long so hers wus a little high on caffeine. MOL Aftew ’bout 30 minutes a lady came ovew and sed, “didn’t they call you and tell you that we needed to change your appointment?” OMC Mommy got all hot undew da collaw. Meez knew what wus comin’ nex. Mommy laid intu da lady and told hers nopawdy had sed any such fing. Da only call hers got wus da one dat told hers tu be here at 7. So they took us back and got mommys test stawted. Meez had tu wait out in da big woom wiff da lady wunnin’ mommys test. Of course meez wus a good giwl and waited patiently fuw mommy tu get fwu. Finally mommy came back out and wees wus off.
As yous knows meez be a Service Cat, but mommy dus like tu take meez on visits sumtimes. Hers sez it dus meez good by keepin’ meez social and dus uddews good cuz meez helps make dem happy. So off tu see da floow nuwse wees went. Shes gav us a foo woom nummews dat wuold like us tu visit and wees wus off again. Wees got tu da fiwst woom and there wus a sweet lady there hoo told us tu come on in. Mommy took meez out of me stwoller and put meez on da bed wiff hers and meez commenced tu purrin’. Da lady wus so sweet hers petted meez and gav meez sum of da bacon fwum hers bwekky tway. OMC Dat bacon be so good. Wees found out latew it wus turkey bacon. Meez not suwe what da diffewence is cuz meez only had bacon one uddew time.
Anyways wees sed ow goodbyes and wees wus off tu da nex woom. There wees met a sweet little boy hoo had been vewy sick fuw a vewy long time. He got so excited when he saw meez. Mommy took me out of meez stwoller again and put me on da bed wiff hims. Hims asked mommy ifin meez wus gunna scwatch hims. Mommy assuwed hims meez wusn’t gunna and hims squeezed meez weally tight and stawted tu cwy. Meez used meez paw tu wipe hims teaws and gav hims a nose nudge, and wees wus off again. A foo mowe visits and wees wus headin’ home afur mommy cwashed. Fuw pwivacy weasons and hospital wules, wees don’t hav fotos of meez visits dis time. 😦
Meez also vewy excited tu say dat meez furiend Sophie fwum da Kitty Cat Chronicles is gunna be a Therapy Cat. And dat’s what meez wus duin’ on meez visits. Altho’ ifin mommy had’ve needed meez at any time meez wulda switched tu Service mode. Meez dus enjoy visitin’ and playin’. All in all it wus a gweat day. Wees got tu visit and make sum days bwighter fuw a foo uddew people. And isn’t dat what makes life bettew fuw us all??
