We’re Growing Fins

Meowllo everypawdy. Maybe me shuld make a fishy mouff and say hey. Yep it’s stowmin’ again. Course we knew we was in fur mow rain, we just didn’t know there wuld be stowms too. And when mommy and hers doctor was visitin’ at hers pointment him was sayin’ dat we be in a critical drought. Now meez just a kitty so me dusn’t unnerstand just how we can be in a drought wiff all da rain we be getting’, but pawently it’s so and we need all this rain. And truff is it’s always rainy here in May. Mommy sez there’s a human sayin’ dat April showers bwing May flowers. But we get April AND May showers and then sum burnt up June flowers. (it gets really hot). So yesfurday ‘bout 45 minutes afur meez Cat Scoout pawrty stawted there was a stweak of light dat lit up da dawkened sky and then da heavens opened and da angels tears fell. It didn’t let up but fur ‘bout 30 minutes last night so me missed da pawrty. Anyways, sissy wanted to tell y’all ‘bouut a pawsum fing dat happened this week, so me will turn it over to her now.

Lexi: Fanks Dezi. Hey y’all hope youz had a grayt day yesfurday. I’z need to give ya’ a bit ov background afur I’z tell ya’ da newz udderwize youz won’t git it. So az you all know I’z habz a facebook page called Alexandra and Furiends. Which by da way ifin youz not pawed dat like buttoon, purrlease click minez name and click like, or scroll down a bit here on our bloggy and click the like button on minez facebook feed. Anyways, the udder side of facebook is unner minez and Deziz name too. And it inkludez minez birffday so it showz me az da 16 year old I iz. Itz nebber binn a purrawblem till recently and mommy kuldn’t enter a contezt fur coffee cuz it used our facebook purrofile and youz had to be 18. So we asked a few furiendz to enter fur usm and they did. It waz no big deal and mommy didn’t give it anudder fawt.. And then while vizitin’ our furiend Truffles da udder day we found minez age an issue once again.

Truffles waz habbin’ a give away fur a new purroduct dat kuld help this old gal. We don’t alwayz enter give awayz, lessen it be sumfin’ we really want or wuld like to try. And this waz just one ov those timez when we really wanted to enter. So we entered our email address and clicked enter and we got a message weez nebber seen afur. It sd, “it appears you do not meet the age requirements.” Hmmmmmmm What you talkin’ ‘bout, we fawt. So we did it again. This time mommy looked at all da options and saw we kuld sign in wiff facebook, twitter or email. Well, we nebber sign into anyfin’ wiff facebook or twitter, so when we got da message da second time we kuld only assume da contest widget was hackin’ into our facebook and getting’ minez birffday and ov course I’z still not 18. So we kuldn’t eeben enter fur a chance to win da give away. We wished eberpawdy good luck and told Truffles and Miss Melissa why we kuldn’t enter in our comment and then went on wiff our day. Da next timme we checked our email Miss Melissa had sent us a note saying she was sorry we kuldn’t enter but dat she had a extwa bottle of da Regeneril and fawt dat it might be weally good fur me. And dat she had sum noms she wuld like to give us too. OMC We are so very blest. And I’z like da regeneril. Mommy sez it smells purretty strong to her, but I lick It up. Mommy puts it in minez baby food glob wiff minez udder medsinz. so I’z wanna say a meowsy big Fank ya’ to Truffles and Miss Melissa fur sharin’.

Fishy Furiday

Meowllo everypawdy, are you happy it’s Furiday? These weeks are just passin’ by so quickly. We wanna fank you all again fur comin’ to Lexi’s pawrty.  In just a few weeks weez’ll be celebratin’ anudder kind of pawrty when we go to BlogPaws. Mommy sez we have a lot to do to get ready. But in the meantime it’s gonna be life as usual round here. As you all know mommy’s been studyin’ CKD wiff a vengeance and it’s treatments. And Lexi just started some of her new meds and seems to be doin’ okay wiff ‘em.

As you know we celebrate birffdays all mumff long here and yesfurday the Fedex man hoo actually be a lady came by and dropped off a box. OMC What a box it was. It was fur sis Lexi’s birffday, but there was fings she could share wiff me too. And like the amazingly wonderful big sisfur she is, Lexi was happy to share. Fank you so much awnty Ann and the Highcats. Me just luvs everything.

Meowllo evewypawdy and fanks fur stoppin’ by today. We hope yous had a gweat weekend. OMC Wait’ll ya’ hear da news we have. We got mowe funnewstorms and wain as spected, but fank catness there wuz no hail. Dat wuld be ow furst blessin’ this week. Cuz at this point weez feelin’ a little waterlogged. MOL And it went and got cold again but at least we didn’t have snow. Ow poor furiend Foxy had snow da uddew day. Anyways, ‘nuff ‘bout da wedder wight? As always weez count ourselves among da blest cuz we have each udder. And we have all of you. We gotta tell ya’  this ole world can be hawsh. But it’s so much easier to bear when yous have furiends and furamily yous can lean on.

There’s been a lot of loss wound da blogosphre this mumff and lots of sick kitties, doggies, hoomans and mowe. So purrlease don’t furget to purray fur yous furiends. We fink purrayers be good whedder yous be sick or not, dat’s why weez purray fur all of ya’ evewyday.

Now as you all know we got a ticket to Blogpaws a while back. Wuz we sum kinda ‘cited or what? Ifin me has to answer dat yous be new. Welkum to Deziz World, and da answer is YES!!! Course mommy hadn’t weally taken into considewation any costs. So she stawted lookin’ at motels and we wuld have to went a caw cuz she dusn’t twust ow caw to go dat faw. Anyways, then mommy panicked. Not weally but it sounded good. Actually mommy did what any good mommy wuld do and stawted contactin’ companies to see ifin we kuld get a sponsor. She fawt ‘bout havin’ an auction, and then posted and asked ifin anypawdy wuz dwivin’ dat we kuld ride wiff. To which we got a email wiff a maybe. Yeah mommy saw da maybe but didn’t let dat deter her. She wuz believin’ fur a yes to follow. Weeks seemed like years waitin’ fur da yes, and still we had no idea how we wuld pay fur da hotel. By now mommy had signed up to do weviews fur pay so long as she appwoved of da purroduct and we kuld be honest. You know we won’t lie to ya’ just fur a foo gween papews. Turns out there wuz no weviews fur money to be had.

By this time mommy wuz finally stawtin’ to see weality and fink we might not get to go after all. And then last week mommy opened ow email and there it wuz…we had a ride to BlogPaws. OMC Mommy cwied as usual and then weality sunk in. There wuz only a mumff left and there wuz still no way we kuld afford a room. Any extwa munny mommy can find goes towards sis Lexi’s tweatments and ow cawe. And mommy findin’ extwa munny dusn’t happen. But we have been twuly blest to have sum of you help wiff doctows poinments and tweatments and noms and litter. We awe so vewy gwateful to you fur dat. So mommy made a last ditch effowt and made a posty askin’ fur a room mate. It’s not like we knew where da munny wuz gunna come fwum fur half da room, but it seemed easier to fink ‘bout than da whole amount. But still no weplies. Well it stawted stowmin’ again so mommy shut down da puter and we all sat wound just watchin’ sum teevee. Yep yous wead dat wight, me didn’t wun off.

Mommy wuz pettin’ us and we wuz purrin’ and hers sed, “We got a ticket and a ride and it just seems like it was meant to be. How could I be so wrong?” And mommy hugged us boff and told us she luvved us. Da stowm let up a bit and mommy wuz wunnewin’ ‘bout da dose of Vit. B-12 she wuz givin’ Lexi so we went to da suppowt gwoup and we found a post ‘bout a purrcedure we wusn’t sure ifin Brians furmily had heard ‘bout. You know Brian’s been weally fightin’ a battle wiff these UTI’s. And as you know mommy lost Lucky and Ransom to this pawful disease so we feel kinda close to Brian. We worry ‘bout all ow furiends and twy to help when we can. So we sent an email wiff da infurmation we found.

Following The Tomcat

Meowllo evewypawdy, hope yous had a gweat week. Weez so happy it’s da weekend. We wuz gunna write this posty yesfurday fur T day in da Bloggin’ A to Z challenge, but as soon as da bootyful sun went down Wednesday evenin’ da sky opened up and buckets, no oceans fell. And da wumblin’ wuz shakin’ da whole house. Of course we kuld see how black it wuz cuz lightnin’ kep lightin’ up da sky. Now they be tellin’ us weez in fur hail. Welkum spwing in da souff of tornado alley. It kinda turned cold too. Altho’ not so cold we wusn’t wunnin’ da fans. Anyways, nuff ‘bout da wedder, weez wanna talk today ‘bout a blessin’ or ten.  Now me knows yous wunnewin’ just what duz a blessin’ have to do wiff ow title wight? Well it all stawted last year wiff us followin’ a Tomcat.

Fur those of ya’ hoo have alweady heard da stowry of how we came to be bloggers, you might wanna skip to da nex pawagwaff. Fur evewypawdy else…pull up a chair and pour anudder cup of coffee/tea/or whatevew yous dwink. When we got ow puter mommy knew basically nuffin’. So she took a old purrsons class (needed it to go slow) on usin’ social media. She had to cweate a Facebook account as pawt of da class. Well mommy wuz weally leary ‘bout plastewin’ hers name and face all over da net cuz in hers day fings like dat be dangewous. (they still awe by da way) So stead of puttin’ hers name and face on it, she put ours out there. Aftew all what kinda perv wuld stalk a cat? MOL And it wusn’t long afur hers stawted findin’ all kinds of cat lovers. And we joined a gwoup of those cat lovers and met lots of kitties includin’ one named Timmy Tomcat. Shortly afur dat site closed Timmy posted a query askin’ ifin anypawdy wuld like to be guest writers on hims bwofur Buddy’s bloggy. Sissy had a purretty good Facebook page goin’ so mommy sed me kuld do this. So Timmy and hims daddy unkle Pete told us we needed to cweate an account. Well they just didn’t know how illiterate mommy is wiff puters; and afur she knew it we had ow own bloggy. We wusn’t guestin’ anyfin’. And so it began, Deziz World wuz made weal.

In those furst foo mumffs, Timmy wuz da only one we knew. We stawted followin’ udder blogs, but back then only a foo peeps evew came to visit us. It’s purrawlly a good fing cuz we had no idea what we wuz duin’. MOL Anyways, we followed Timmy wight into Cat Scouts too. We saw it on hims sidebaw and he sure looked like he wuz havin’ a good time. And we followed him to da Tabby Cat Club. And ya’ know what? Weez glad we did. We have been so blest to get to know so many wunnewful animals and their peeps. This be an adventure and evewyday we look furward to da next one. As most of you know Lexi wuz wecently diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease, and wequires ongoing tweatments. She also quit eatin’ and lost a lot of weight. And as you also know weez not have much munny so buyin’ sissy’s medicines and payin’ VET bills be sumfin’ weez not be ale to do vewy well. And then wiff hers not eatin’ weez had to buy lots of diffewent noms to find sumfin’ hers wuld eat.

Well da udder day unkle Pete and Timmy and furmily sent Lexi da cutest little get well cawd and a gift cawd to amazon. So mommy purromptly went on ovew and placed an order. She got a mumffs worff of da Renavast and B-12. She also got sum slippewy elm fur sissies upset tummies and sum noms. It’s been wecommended dat she get sum dwy noms to help her gain sum weight back. And since we luvved those Canidae tweats so well mommy got a bag of da food. Looks like da same fing to us. And cuz sissy likes da Friskies baconated noms and da baby food ham so well mommy bought sum Precise Holistic Flaked Pork cans.

And OMC sissy has licked da plate clean evewy meal since they got here. Mommy has cwied and scweamed and shouted and danced and jumped up and down ovew da empty plates evewy time. Dusn’t take much to make a mommy happy let me tell ya’. Fing is evewyday wiff this disease counts and evewy day dat sissy dusn’t get hers meds or eat is a day dat she kuld get worse. So weez weally purreciate y’all sendin’ us dat gift cawd so we kuld get sissy goin’. We knew she needed these fings da day after we got da wesults fwum hers blood test, we just didn’t have da gween papers fur them, so a meowsy big FANK YOU unkle Pete, Timmy, Miss Fitz, Buddy, Rumpy, Einstein, Toby and Buttons. Y’all awe da bestest.
