“Class, today me wants to tell you ‘bout a little ole sayin’ dat shuld rule your life.”
Sorry furiends, me knows you didn’t come by here fur a lecture. So let me ‘splain meself here. We were given da 3 day quote challenge by our dear furiends over at da 4 legged furballs aka The Menagerie Mom. Ifin ya’ haven’t met ‘em yet you shuld head on over when ya’ finish here and check ‘em out. Now don’t you be leavin’ just yet tho’, me hasn’t finished ‘splainin’ meself. As sissy, mommy and me discussed what our quote fur today wuld be, it started soundin’ more like a lecture than a discussion. Mommy feels very strongly ‘bout quite a few things, and how to treat others is one of ‘em.
Now da rules of da challenge are as follows:
1. Post fur 3 consecutive days
2. Choose and share one or 3 quotes everyday
3. Challenge 3 additional bloggers each day
So me’s quote fur today is:
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
You may know it as Da Golden Rule. This little quote goes all da way back to Bible times and can be found in Matthew 7:12. Dat dusn’t guarantee dat others are always gunna be nice to you, but it also dusn’t mean you shuld stoop to their level. Da bestest thing you can do in a situation where you can’t be nice to sumpawdy is to just say and do nuffin’. Remove youself from their purresence and avoid them when pawssible. Me is gunna leave this challenge open to all of ya’. Me knows quite a few of ya’ have already taken da challenge, so ifin you haven’t yet and want to, consider yourself challenged. Ifin yous already dun it and wuld like to again, purrlease do.
Me wuld like to give you all a little sis Lexi update cuz a lot of ya’ have been askin’. She has kept down her noms fur a kupple of days now. We are so very happy fur dat. She seems to be feelin’ a bit better as well. Mommy started feedin’ her less food at a time, but more frequent meals. Weez not sure ifin she ate too much at one time or ifin she got a bad can of noms. Eever is pawssible, and at this point we just purray da throw ups are over. Of course we wuld purreciate yous continued purrayers. Me wuld also like to ask you to purray fur a furiend of ours. Timmy tomcat’s brofur Buddy Budd isn’t eatin’ like he shuld. Uncle Pete’s been tryin’ all da normal tips and tricks and has even added an appetite stimulant. Buddy just turned 16, so he needs to eat to keep his muscles and body goin’. So ifin you can spare a few purrayers fur Buddy Budd and his furmily we know they wuld purreciate it.
Well dat’s all me has fur today, so “Class Dismissed.” MOL
Do you strive to treat others the way you want to be treated?
Till da next time………………………………………..Be Blest!!!

That’s a great quotation, and one we should all live by, Dezi! We’re purring and praying for Buddy Budd, and Lexi, too!

That’s a good one. The Biblical quote I doesn’t like it “turn the other cheek” cos sure as I’m CK, they will slap that one too. Hope Lexi continues to feel better.

We do try to treat others as we would wish to be treated, even if it’s hard sometimes. (I’m thinking of my sister Raven’s treats. When we all get treats, the rest of our eat ours right away, but Raven likes to eat or two and then leave them, to come back later and get some more. It’s awfully tempting to see those treats just sitting there. Every now and then I can’t resist the temptation and I’ll eat them for her. (Hey, I don’t want them to get stale sitting out like that) I always feel bad when Raven comes back to get a treat and they’re all gone. Most of the time I’m good and leave them alone, but everynow and then……

You’re right – if you don’t feel you can be kind to someone, the best thing to do is just walk away. We always try to be kind to others, even when they are not kind to us, but sometimes that is a challenge, MOL!
