Mommy, me thought spring was here. Why is it so cold and stormin’ out?
Spring is here Dezi. But April in Oklahoma is windy, chilly and stormy. And we may still get a freeze before it’s all over.
A FUREEZE? But mommy, me wants da sun to come out so we can go fur a stroll.

Okay mommy, thank you. Ya’ know a while back a couple of me’s new furiends asked why you needed Service kitties. Me told them we would write a posty ‘bout it and then lots of things happened dat we needed to write ‘bout and so we never got ‘round to ‘splainin’ anythin’ to them.
I know baby, maybe we can give them a little over view today.
Dat would be pawsum mommy. And then when me’s new sisfur and helper gets here they can read all ‘bout us trainin’ her. Me can’t wait to meet her.
Me either sweety. I sure hope she finds us soon.
Anyways, a long time ago now, you had car accident dat left you disabled, right?
That’s right.
You had lots of nerve and muscle damage; and cuz of it lots of times you don’t have any feelin’ in your extremities. And you have a blood clot on your brain dat makes you have migraines all da time.
Well sort of honey. The blood clot is just one of the reasons I have migraines.
Well, okay. Anyways, you have lots of pain and have to take medicines to control it. And when we go to sleep at night those medicines wear off and you get all stiff and stuck in pawsition; so you can’t move in da meownings. So dat’s why you need massages to get your body and muscles warmed up and movin’. And cuz you need to visit da pawdee box room when you wake up, you need me to drive your wheelchair so you can pull yourself onto da, well, you know. And ya’ never know when da pain or da pinched nerves or whatever is gonna cause you to pass out and go fallin’ to da ground. Me knows tho’ and you need me to tell ya’ so you don’t have to fall all da way to da floor.
I sure do baby. I really appreciate you letting me know. That floor sure is hard and an awful long way down. And for a migraine. there’s nothing in the world better than a purring kitty giving a massage. It’s so relaxing and helps so much.
Oh mommy me luvs givin’ you a massage. Me sometimes gets so happy me drools a little. But on with me’s duties. You also pass out in da shower a lot. Somethin’ to do with those nerve things, right? Anyways, a peep can drown in as little as 2 inches of water. So it’s really purrtant to keep your head outta da flow of da shower. And you’re not very graceful mommy. Lots of times you lose your balance and fall. Ifin you was to ever be hurt really bad and couldn’t get to da fone, you would need somepawdy to call da ambulance to help you. Even with a helper me can’t stop da bleedin’ or patch ya’ up.
Well baby you summed it up pretty good. Now why don’t we end with something positive today.

Dat’s a great idea mommy. Me knows everypawdy wants to know what me decided to call me’s fishy. There was a lot of great names suggested by ya’ll. And fur da record me had already tried to name him brekky, lunch or dinner, and mommy sed no. She sed dat was worse than callin’ him fishy. Anyways, me’s furiends over at J-Cats made a really cool suggestion. They live in Israel and sed da Hebrew word fur fish is “Dag” purrnounced Doug. So me’s gonna call him Dougie. Dat way me’s still callin’ him fishy, Dougie just sounds better. So there ya’ have it. Me knows me hit ya’ with several reviews in a row, but dat’s what happens when ya’ take time off. As me sed earlier, it’s stormin’ here, so we will be ‘round to visit as soon as we can.

Me told ya’ in me’s last posty dat we’s honored to be pawrt of da Chewy.com blogging family; and dat we receive some great purroducts every month to try out and tell you all ‘bout. And me also told ya’ dat mommy had chosen our items based on what she thought each of us would like. Me knows sis Lexi isn’t here anymore, but she did get to try a great food this month dat me needs to tell ya’ ‘bout. As ya’ know sissy had gotten really picky this last year and mommy was always tryin’ to find somethin’ she would eat and dat was good fur her. So mommy chose da Natural Balance Delectable Delights Catatouille Stew Wet Grain-Free cat food fur sissy in purrticular and me to try. Now let me tell ya’ a little ‘bout these noms.
‘Course they are wet and come in a 2.5 ounce plastic tub; 12 to a case. They also come in a multitude of flavors and either stew or pate. Ifin kitty likes gravy, then da stews are da way to go. Most of da formulas are fishy. Mommy chose da Catatouille cuz we’s don’t really eat much fish here. Fur health reasons mommy doesn’t like us to eat fish, so we never really developed a taste fur it. Here’s what’s in da Catatouille:
It doesn’t have any carrageenan, so dat’s a plus, and it’s grain free. Sissy luvved da Catatouille. She liked it so well, me never got to try it. At da end it was all mommy kuld get sissy to eat, so me gladly gave her me’s tubs. She wuld be givin’ these an all four paws up. They are full of gravy so fur those of ya’ dat add water to kitties meals fur medical reasons, it’s purrobably not needed here. These meals are complete and balanced fur an adult cat. So what did mommy think ‘bout them you ask?

Well Dezi, I like that they are grain free and full of gravy. The pieces are small but there was plenty of chicken in each tub. They did contain a lot of vegetables as well, but as we said in your last review, that’s pretty normal in most cat foods these days. I was thrilled that Lexi liked them so much and would eat everything on her plate. They don’t contain carrageenan, but they do have tuna oil and guar gum. All in all, I would give these a thumb up. Even the ever pickier Lexi ate them up and I didn’t have to add water to make more gravy.
Well there ya’ go, a fumm up from mommy and four paws up from sissy. Me did get a good whiff of them and they smelled delishus. Altho’ all of our tubs were well blended, there were some kitties who received other formulas dat sed da dried spinach was bunched on da top of da food. So just be aware dat you may get a tub with a green glob on top. It’s not mold, it’s spinach. Just mix it in with da rest of da food or as one kitty did, throw it in da trash. We kitties don’t really need spinach so either way is fine.

Meowllo everypawdy, and Monday too. Yep, it’s another miserable Monday but me has somethin’ yummy to tell ya’ ‘bout, so dat makes it a little better, right? As pawrt of da Chewy blogging family we get to try different purroducts each month and tell you all ‘bout them. And this month was no different. Mommy chose one purroduct with each of us in mind. Of course we both would eat either purroduct. Dat bein’ sed, mommy chose fur me da Nature’s Variety Instinct Raw Boost Duck Minis Cat Treats.
Me likes duck, so mommy thought this would be a good choice. They are freeze dried in little pellet shapes. Most are bite size fur da majority of kitties; but they are easily broken up into a smaller bite or crumbled to put over a meal. One thing to keep in mind with these purrticular treats is dat they contain other ingredients besides just Duck. Here’s da ingredient list:
Me is purretty picky ‘bout da size of me’s bite and shape too. Mommy offered me a couple of these as a treat, but me didn’t show any innerest. So she added them to me’s noms and after breaking each bite in two, me gobbled them down. They are purrlenty tasty. They also come in chicken fur those of ya’ dat like a less gamey bird. Well it’s time fur another Blest Sunday. And this ain’t just any blest Sunday either. Nope sure isn’t. It’s Resurrection Sunday, or as most call it, Easter. We like da resurrection Sunday cuz it reminds us what this day is all ‘bout. We don’t celebrate with eggs or bunnies and mommy doesn’t even get chocolates fur herself. Well normally dat is. She found a dollar bag of tootsie rolls at da store da other day and picked ‘em up fur her to eat while me enjoyed me’s purresent from uncle Garth, awnty Mary Beth, Gizmo and da gang.
We are so blest to have so many wunnerful furiends. With all dat be goin’ on in this world we give thanks to God each day fur keepin’ us safe. And we ask Him everyday to keep His hands on and bless our furiends and all their furmilies too. Me just doesn’t unnerstand why some peeps can be so mean and have so little respect fur life. Havin’ experienced furst hand da loss of a dear luvved one, me can tell you dat each moment is purrecious. Me doesn’t wish fur anypawdy to have to go thru what me and mommy are goin’ thru. Mommy sez dat death is a part of life and dat everypawdy will experience it at one time or another. Me just wishes dat these terrorists wasn’t in such a hurry to make their furiends and furmilies and all those furiends and furmilies of da innocents they take with them to go thru this. We’s sendin’ purrayers to all those affected by these senseless acts of violence.
Now, on to somethin’ more pleasant. Me told you dat awnty Mary Beth told mommy to get me somethin’ special from her and da furmily when she went to pick up da catputer. Mommy thought long and hard ‘bout what me needed. And she thought ‘bout how me keeps hangin’ out in da pawdee box room lookin’ fur sissy. Mommy wanted to get somethin’ dat would make me focus me’s attentions else where. So after lookin’ ‘round and purrice checkin’, she found what she thought would be da purrfect gift fur da situation at hand. Mommy decided to get me a pet of me’s very own. Dat’s right, she got me me’s very furst ever Betta fish. He’s a real cutey, but me isn’t quite sure what to make of him. Sis Lexi had several Betta fishes throughout her life and a couple froggies too. But mommy decided one Betta fish was enuff fur us right now. After all we are still lookin’ fur me a new sissy and helper. We sure hope da nice lady from Texas dat called us has some good news in dat depawtment. Me will tell ya’ all ‘bout dat in another posty.
Well, like me sed, fishies aren’t strangers to mommy, but you woulda thought so, cuz she set everythin’ up all backwards. She set up da aquarium and filled it with water and then added me’s fishy befur realizin’ she hadn’t put da rocks down or da plants. So there she was dippin’ out water and usin’ straws to try to place da plants. And using da straw to scoot me’s fishy outta da way so she could pour in some rocks. And Nope, she couldn’t just take da fishy out cuz she furgot to buy a net and he’s a quick little escape artist. Anyways, rocks, plants and fishy in place, mommy stepped back to check it all out. Me jumped up on da table fur a better look see. Oh me cats, he looks so cute. Me can’t wait to have a new sissy to share him with. Mommy sez me has to give him a name cuz we can’t just keep callin’ him “fishy”. So me thought it would be really cool to ask you all to help me name him.
He seems to really like me. Every time me goes over to visit with him he comes right over to where me’s at and flares his little gills. MOL And he really likes his plants. Altho’, he’s not so crazy ‘bout them bein’ planted in da rocks. Fur some reason every time mommy gets them anchored he goes and digs ‘em up again. MOL So mommy finally sed they can just float.
