Meowllo everypawdy, and Monday too. Yep, it’s another miserable Monday but me has somethin’ yummy to tell ya’ ‘bout, so dat makes it a little better, right? As pawrt of da Chewy blogging family we get to try different purroducts each month and tell you all ‘bout them. And this month was no different. Mommy chose one purroduct with each of us in mind. Of course we both would eat either purroduct. Dat bein’ sed, mommy chose fur me da Nature’s Variety Instinct Raw Boost Duck Minis Cat Treats.
Me likes duck, so mommy thought this would be a good choice. They are freeze dried in little pellet shapes. Most are bite size fur da majority of kitties; but they are easily broken up into a smaller bite or crumbled to put over a meal. One thing to keep in mind with these purrticular treats is dat they contain other ingredients besides just Duck. Here’s da ingredient list:
Duck (including ground duck bone), turkey, turkey liver, turkey heart, pumpkinseeds, carrots, apples, butternut squash, ground flaxseed, montmorillonite clay, dried kelp, broccoli, apple cider vinegar, salmon oil, mixed tocopherols, rosemary extract, blueberries, dried chicory root
Me is purretty picky ‘bout da size of me’s bite and shape too. Mommy offered me a couple of these as a treat, but me didn’t show any innerest. So she added them to me’s noms and after breaking each bite in two, me gobbled them down. They are purrlenty tasty. They also come in chicken fur those of ya’ dat like a less gamey bird. Here’s some key benefits taken from da Chewy.com site:
Key Benefits
- 100% freeze dried raw ingredients including real duck, turkey, carrots and apples
- Great taste and health benefits
- All-natural with no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives
- Grain-free and gluten-free
- No corn, wheat, soy or fillers
- Only two calories per piece
- Made in the USA
So me gives these all 4 paws up. They taste good and be filling. Now me will say dat you purrobly don’t wanna be addin’ water to these, they don’t reconstitute very well. They be a little spongy, and dat’s after a few hours. Yep, takes dat long. So what did mommy think ‘bout these treats? Let’s ask her.
Thank you baby. I’m really glad you like them. Since changing your diet, I’m trying to keep a variety of proteins in your plate. I like that there are no preservatives, corn, or grains inside them. And I really like that they are made here in the U.S.. As with most cat foods these days they do include a multitude of veggies that you don’t need, but that’s in almost every food these days. So all in all I give the Instinct Raw Boost Minis Duck treats 2 thumbs up.

Fank you mommy. Dat’s rare fur you to give somethin’ both fumms up; so me guesses me will be havin’ more of these in da future. You can get your own at Chewy.com. They be on sale right now. They come in a 2.25 oz bag, and da duck be $7.19 and da chicken is $7.99. Course ifin you add them to your auto ship you can save a little more. They also make these fur da doggies. As always, Chewy offers speedy free shipping fur all orders over $49.00 and a low flat rate fur all orders less than $49.00. And Chewy has da bestest Customer Service reps ‘round. You’re never stuck with a purroduct your anipal won’t eat or use, so you can shop with confidence. You can also edit your auto ship at any time. Me’s joinin’ up with da Golden Woofs fur da Chewy blog hop where you can find all da Chewy bloggers monthly reviews.

Well me will wrap it up now, me’s gotta go eat. Da Instinct Raw Boost minis were a big hit. Ifin you’re tryin’ to switch your kitty from kibble to somethin’ more healthy, these would make a great transitional offering. Course they would also make a great treat.
Do you (or your anipal) like freeze dried treats and food?
Do you (or your anipal) like game birds like duck?
Till da next time……………………………..Be Blest!!!
Sounds like you and Mommy were pleased with this one. Glad you liked it. My Grandcat is so picky. He doesn’t like much in the way of treats. I’ve tried the freezed dried ones and he wouldn’t even look at it.
Love you and Mommy so very much. Hugs and kisses.
