Blest Sunday: Passing The Blessings On

Meowllo everypawdy. It’s a furbulous Blest Sunday here. Altho’ we don’t have any sun puddles da weather has been a bit warmer. And you know we don’t like da winter colds so we’s sure enjoyin’ da warmth. Mommy’s been a little sickly and paw fur da course sis Lexi got da sicks late Furiday evenin’. But ya’ know what? Sissy still be eating and keepin’ most of it down, so all’s good there. She has developed a new habit dat mommy’s not real happy ‘bout tho’.

See it all started last Fursday meownin’. We all headed to da pawdee box room as we do every meownin’. Me hopped on da counter to get a drink, sis Lexi crawled into da pawdee box and mommy sat on da human pawdee box directly across from sis Lexi. Sissy pawed at da litter and mommy looked up just in time to see sis Lexi lift her tail and start streamin’. And what mommy saw caught her completely by surprise. Lexi was standin’ so close to da edge dat she was streamin’ right over da edge of da pawdee box onto da floor. And me isn’t talkin’ ‘bout just a few drops eever, it was a full on stream. Thankfully mommy had covered da floor round da pawdee box with piddle pads, but none da less, sissy was missin’ da pawdee box altogether. Of course mommy didn’t yell or say anything, but she sure was thinkin’ a lot. She sed da whole time sissy streamed all she kuld think was, “Really? Can’t you take one more step forward?” Well ‘parently not cuz she’s dun it a few more times since then. Mommy’s just thankful she put down da piddle pads and dat sissy’s still usin’ da pawdee box…sort of. MOL

As long as we head to da pawdee box to take care of business, mommy’s happy. Even ifin we miss every once in a while. MOL  We are very blest. And bein’ so blest we wanna share ‘bout sumpawdy who kuld use a few blessings. One of our fellow bloggers really needs your help. Awnty Katie Kat from Katiez Furry Mewz has quite a few kitties who need medical care, and furever homes. She also has a furiend who she’s tryin’ to help out so money be in short supply. Awnty Katie recently became a rescue. Even tho’ she’s been duin’ all she kuld to help da kitties there’s just never enuff green papers to go ‘round. We’s a little late to da party, but she set up an auction so she can continue to help out where needed. Ifin you have da means, you can donate directly to her PayPal via da Donate button on her bloggy. But let’s say you don’t have any green papers to donate. Take a look around your house, you might have sumfin’ you can donate to da auction. Or maybe there’s sumfin’ there you wuld like to buy. You know we told ‘bout how wunnerful and supportive da Blogosphere was last week on our Blogoversary; so let’s rally and do what we can to help awnty Katie Kat.

Till da next time……………………………………….Be Blest!!!

  1. Hi Dezi! I agree with Sammy that it could be that Lexi is finding it difficult to squat right down. At least she is still going in the litter box and the piddle pads are doing their job.

  2. I hope your Mom feels better soon and that Lexi doesn’t vomit.Lucy used to use the pee pads instead of the box and she would manage to go on the edge so it would leak on the floor- I swear she did it on purpose. I miss cleaning up her messed though. Nice selfies. I donated a book and some toys to the auction and they have a bid 🙂 XO

    1. Good Luck. Sissy has arthur-itis and da CKD has made her weaker than she used to be so squattin’ be hard these days and it’s just easier to lift da tail ad stream. Mommy unnerstands cuz there are days when she sez gettin’ to da human pawdee box is painful. We wish we kuld help her, but mommy sez she guesses da piddle pads are all we can do. We’ll be innerstead in hearin’ how da new box works fur y’all.

  3. Mom uses those pad around our boxes too, because a few of us have a very high aim even though Mom bought one of those high sided boxes.

  4. Our Tommie was a “high shooter” when he got old and wasn’t able to squat anymore. Yes, lots of pee pads were used. We got litter boxes with a low entry and very high walls on the other three sides. As you say, it doesn’t help if the kitty doesn’t walk in and turn around.
I always appreciated that our dear Tommie went to the litter box like a good boy even though his pee didn’t.
    Sigh.

  5. Hi Dezi! I’ve not talked about it before, but I do like Lexi sometimes – I forget to “squat” down a little bit when I’m in the potty and wind up missing the box all together! I’m IN the box but if I don’t squat a bit – well – over the side it goes! Mom doesn’t get upset at me though – she thinks I’m just forgetting OR sometimes my bones are too achy to let me squat comfortably. It’s just sometimes not a lot of fun being old – Lexi and I know about that for sure!!! Anyway, I’m glad to hear she’s eating…..I’ve been getting funny about that myself – some days nothing tastes good to me and Mom will try several things before I take a lick or two of something. Nobody said getting old would be EASY that’s for sure!
