Meowllo everypawdy and happy Wednesday to ya’. We got some great questions from me’s Service Animal posty, and we’ll be answerin’ them and so much more in our next installment on Monday. In da meantime, me has some noms to tell ya’ ‘bout. As ya’ know we be pawrt of da Chewy blogging family and get to try out new things every month. This month we knew we were gonna have a kitten in da house so mommy looked at da offerings really careful like and chose a couple foods dat are good fur all life stages. Dat means both Raena and me can eat it and it will be nutritionally balanced.
So, dat bein’ said mommy chose da Solid Gold Holistic Delights in Creamy Bisque with chicken and coconut milk. Now these come in 3 ounce packets, 12 to a case for $14.28. They are all grain free and da chicken bisque we received also says it’s gluten free. And as me said befur, it’s appropriate fur all life stages. Here’s what’s in it:
Ingredients
Water sufficient for processing, chicken, tuna, pea protein, coconut milk, carrot, potato, dried egg, tricalcium phosphate, salt, sunflower oil, xanthan gum, magnesium sulfate, tapioca starch, taurine, zinc glycine complex, choline chloride, potassium chloride, ferronyl iron, vitamin e supplement, niacin supplement, manganese glycine complex, selenium proteinate, thiamine mononitrate, vitamin a supplement, vitamin b12 supplement, copper glycine complex, pyridoxine hydrochloride, calcium pantothenate, riboflavin supplement, biotin supplement, vitamin d3 supplement, folic acid, potassium iodide, menadione sodium bisulfite complex (source of vitamin k)
Solid Gold claims dat da rich coconut milk provides much needed calcium that’s easily digested and gentle on kittys’ tummy. Da Holistic Delights pouches come in 6 flavors. Altho’ da name of our choice says chicken, it includes quite a bit more tuna than chicken. Mommy’s basing dat on smell alone. Da chicken doesn’t contain carageenan, so those of you who look fur dat can rest easy. Anyways, we know you wanna know what it looks like and ifin we liked it.

I’s a natural, don’t ya’ think?

OMC! We loved seeing Raena posing by the food box! And she sure was digging in to the noms:)
Sorry you didn’t care for it, Dezi. But thats OK, we know there is lots of other noms you delight in!
Meowmy sometimes has issues with pea protein if there is too much in the protein powder she uses…ahem…TMI…MOL!
We here do not like coconut milk, though dog-guy does…he eats almost anything like a billy goat, MOL!

That was a great review girls. Dezi always does a great job and now Raena does too.
Oscar is so picky about what he eats. He never cleans his plate and is hungry again a few hours later. I just don’t know what to do with him. I don’t give him fish very much at all though. I was wondering though about the coconut milk and if coconut oil is ok for cats.
Love you all so very much. Hugs and kisses.

Fanks awnty Mary, coconut milk and oil are safe fur kitties. But ‘tween da peas makin’ her gassy and da cocnut milk makin’ her poop stink, we won’t be repeatin’ this meal anytime soon.

Hmmm… Mr. M likes chicken, but Purrseidon likes fish – seeing which one would eat such a blend would be interesting.

Sure would. But then again, wouldn’t it be great ifin they both ate it?

That would be amazing! Generally, one of them prefers something, so they thoughtfully polish the other one’s plate.
That said, Purrseidon & Saphera both LOVED freeze-dried salmon treats… Purr had her whiskers in a twirl because Saphera got more than she did … Saphera weighs about 10 x as much, too. Sometimes being fair is very difficult.

Yeah. Mommy tries to be sneaky when she can’t be fair. Like right now, me knows Raena’s gettin’ at least one more meal than me, but mommy’s really good at hidin’ it so me doesn’t see it. MOL

Well, Raena is growing, so she can afford an extra meal – that won’t last forever. I bet you got extra meals and snacks when you were growing, too.

We like tuna a lot! sometimes dad will put a teaspoon on human tuna on our plate with our healthy dinner just for a treat. That sounds like something we would like, but if it gives us gas dad wouldn’t like that. We’ll have to see.

Ya’ll would purrobably luv it. As fur da gas, we think it might be peas. Raena ate somethin’ else da other day dat had peas and she got gas. Fur now we’s tryin’ to avoid peas to see. MOL
