Hey, is there anypawdy out there? It’s me, RaenaBelle. Sis Dezi has been meowin’ at me lately ‘bout all kinds of things. She says it’s December, da last month of da year. I’s didn’t know what dat meant, but she said it’s da way humans measure time. I’s asked her what all this Christmas talk was ‘bout, and this Santa Paws and why everypawdy’s postin’ gift guides?. I’s know what a gift is. I’s got a pawsum nip nanner fur Dezi’s birthday. But I’s didn’t understand what a gift guide was. I’s didn’t ask fur da nanner, but I’s sure was glad to receive it. Anyways, sissy says dat gift guides are each purrson/doggy/kittys’ ideas of things dat would make purrfect gifts fur others; and even themselves.
What else did me tell ya’ ‘bout those guides Raena?
Well sissy, you said there’s a lot of great guides out there but dat we couldn’t afford da things on them. And dat it’s fun to look at them, but dat we won’t be buyin’ any of them. So, I’s asked you ifin we could make a gift guide fur peeps and furries like us.
And me thought dat was a great idea Raena. Me thinks we should call our list, Da Mostest Affurdable Gift Guide on da Innernets.
What ‘bout Da Mostest Purreciated Gift Guide on da Innernet???
Well sis, me thinks dat’s a great title, but there are some peeps dat might want items dat would be outta our purrice range. In which case they wouldn’t really purreciate our gift guide. A long time ago, way befur you and me, mommy used to buy gifts fur kids whose name was on angel trees. She can’t afford to do those kinds of things anymore, but she still looks at da items they want and they fur sure wouldn’t ‘purreciate getting’ da gifts from our guide. So, you had a good idea, but let’s stick with mes suggestion fur a name, k?.
(Raena drops her head and shuffles her back paws) Okay sissy, you know bestest.
Me didn’t mean to hurt your feelins Raena. You can list da furst gift on our gift guide, okay?.
Fanks sissy. When are we gonna put up our gift guide. I’s wanna really think ‘bout da bestest things ever to put on our guide.
Well Raena, what ‘bout this Sunday? Me thinks dat would be da purrfect time.
Oh sissy, I’s think dat’s a pawsum idea. I’s already know what da furst thing should be.
Don’t say it yet Raena. We want our guide to be a surprise and fur everypawdy to want to come back Sunday to read it.
(Raena giggles with excitement) Me can’t wait sissy. This is gonna be so much fun.
Me agrees Raena. We’ve never posted a gift guide befur. We must let everypawdy know, there’ll be purrlenty of time to order your gifts from our guide and still receive them by Christmas. We also wanna give everypawdy an update on mommy. She’s doin’ much better, and really purreciates all your purrayers and support.
There’s one last thing we wanna do today. Our furiend Sammy, is visitin’ all over Blogville via his magic balloon. Altho’ sissy and me were born here in Oklahoma, mommy wasn’t. And since we don’t have many green papers, we haven’t really been anywhere and don’t know what there is to see here. But of course we wanted to visit with Sammy, so…
We just joined him fur a balloon ride across our state. It is with heavy hearts dat as Sammy travels this world, he will end his journey today in heaven. When sis Lexi and me arrived in Blogville, it was Sammy and his mommy dat helped us and our mommy learn how to navigate da world of blogging. We ‘member our furst Caturday art and how we had no idea how to “link up”. Quite furankly, we didn’t even know what dat meant. Mommy had miraculously entered us in da blog hop, but had no idea how to put da bootyful Athena’s link in our posty and certainly not how to put da badge on our sidebar. Sammy and awnty Pam to da rescue, and look at us today. Now we try to help other bloggers when we can. Dat’s da way of Sammy. His kindness and luv are what make up this sub culture we call Blogville. We do hope you will go by today and leave some luv fur awnty Pam and Sammys daddy. We’re sendin’ big hugs and lots of purrayers.

So sad about Sammy going to the Bridge. We bet he loved flying over Oklahoma, and that he is remembering it with fondness at the Bridge.

Dezi, I’m sorry to say this to you but Raena is right in that everybody should benefit and be grateful to receive a reasonably priced or inexpensive gift. If all those kids or furry kids want is things that cost lots of green papers then they are spoiled and should be able to appreciate a gift from the heart no matter what it costs! Raena, you have a great heart, little girlie cat! I have relatives who have lots of money and look down their noses at thoughtful gifts because all they want is bling and status, not caring about love from their friends or relatives. It’s the thought that counts and if it’s a homemade gift – even better. Don’t worry so much about what “those types” of ritzy people think they need. Love and friendship is all that matters in this life – not the expensiveness of the gift. Keep it real girls!

Me knows Raena be right, but me also knows there are “those” kinda peeps in da world. Mommy tells me what some of those kids dat are ‘posed to be as poor as us are wantin’ and we can’t believe they have da nerve to ask peeps fur those kinds of things. But what’s worse is dat we can’t believe peeps actually buy it fur them. But dat’s just da way of da world sometimes. Dat’s okay, we think we have da purrfect list of goodies fur everypawdy. We know we want everything on our list. MOL Mommy says da best way to pick a gift is to get somethin’ you would want. So dat’s just ‘zactly what we did. And we ‘magined us as doggies, and bunnies and peeps and everythin’ and picked da bestest fur each. Big hugs to ya’ll. See ya’ Sunday. 🙂
