Mommy A Tries Lucas’ PawPaw Ointment

Hey all, mommy A here. I’ve hijacked the girls blog today to tell you about something I recently found that I think every household needs. As you all know, the girls do most of our reviews. And, I’m thrilled they get to try so many amazing things. But, as you also know, there’s a human behind all the pet blogs including ours. A lot of times the things we humans get to review have to do with cleaning or enriching the lives of our furry babies in some way. Don’t get me wrong, I love my girls and can’t imagine not picking up after them or trying to make their lives better; but, every once in a while I’d like something that didn’t have anything to do with cleaning. lol

As most of you know, I recently had all but 2 teeth removed. And, NO, this isn’t a Denture or Denture Cream Review. lol Everybody can use the item we’ll be talking about today. After years of broken teeth and infections, I’m now living happily without that pain. I’ll get my permanent dentures in February thanks to so many wonderful angels who helped me through this. In the meantime, I’m wearing what they call temporary dentures while my gums heal and shrink. These temporaries are much like the final product and have to be taken care of and worn the same way. Anyone who has ever walked down the dental aisle in a store has seen boxes of denture adhesives. For the most part, they’re all the same. The purpose of these adhesives is to act like a glue to keep the dentures in so one can eat without losing their “teeth”.

At first, everything was going along fine. My gums were and have healed properly and I’m getting used to the feel of “fake teeth”. But, shortly after I began using the denture adhesives, I started getting sores in the corners of my mouth. The corners of my mouth were cracking open and my lips were constantly chapped. Due to medications, weather, age and probably other factors, I have a problem with dry skin, and my lips are no different. So, I use several products to help keep my skin and lips moisturized. When my lips began to crack, I started using everything that’s worked in the past and even tried a few new items. Nothing seemed to give me relief and certainly didn’t heal the cracks. Naturally I spoke to my doctor about it and he suggested the old triple antibiotic ointment. I don’t know about ya’ll, but that stuff tastes nasty. Cats and dogs may like it, but I sure didn’t. And, it didn’t even make anything better. So, I did what I always do, research and more research.

 Lucas' PawPaw Ointment

I came across a product called Lucas’ PawPaw Ointment. The PawPaw Ointment is touted as a cure fur a myriad of issues, not the least is my dry skin and chapped cracked lips. Naturally I had to try this miracle ointment. It’s all natural and can be used on the girls as well.

The backstory: An Australian botanist named T.P. Lucas came across the PawPaw tree (Carica Papaya) and discovered the antiseptic properties of the ointment accelerated the cleaning of wounds and was extremely nourishing/moisturizing. He devoted years of special study to the PawPaw tree and creating products. Lucas’ PawPaw Ointment has been a proven remedy for over 100 years.

As you can see, the PawPaw ointment can be used for almost anything that ails the skin. And since it’s all natural, you don’t have to worry about side effects. You also don’t have to worry about who or what touches you after the application. Anyone who has ever used prescription creams for these ailments knows, some of the ingredients can be dangerous to small children and animals. The Lucas’ PawPaw Ointment can safely be used on your pets. Maybe your dog gets hot spots in the summer, or now that it’s winter, you’re looking for something to put on their paws to relieve ice burns. What about those scratches received during a cat fight or even left behind after kitty got scared and accidentally scratched you? Maybe you or a pet is nursing and needs a little relief to the chapped nipples left behind from suckling young’uns. Or, like me, you’re not that graceful anymore and take a few tumbles now and then that result in bruising or cuts and scrapes. It doesn’t matter what the issue is, you might want to give Lucas’ PawPaw Ointment a try. You can choose a tube or tub on amazon. Prices start at about $8.00. Be sure to purchase from Lucas to be sure you’re getting the Original PawPaw Ointment and not some knock off. A little goes a long way, so it should last a while.

As for my cracked chapped lips, they started healing within a couple of days. I’m thrilled with the results and since I’ll be needing that denture adhesive for the rest of my life, it’s nice to know I don’t have to worry about the side effects and pain of cracked lips. I’ve also used the Lucas’ PawPaw Ointment on my feet, elbows and hands with great results. Although they list a perfume in the ingredient list, there’s no smell or taste I or the girls can detect. Well, that’s it for me today. I have a few more reviews coming up fur ya’ll and look forward to many more this year. Thank you all for reading and for being our friends.

Till the next time……………………………………..Be Blest!!!

Love ya’
