Hey everypawdy, it’s me, RaenaBelle. I’s comin’ to ya’ live from the Three Belles Ranch…at least fur now. Altho’ mommy did say, we’ll always be the Three Belles Ranch, no matter where we are. I’s not sure I’s unnerstand that, but mommy’s never lied to me yet, so it must be true.   

 

 

 

          It’s true Raena, since we don’t actually live on a ranch, we’re the ranch. And as long as we’re together, our ranch goes with us. It’s not like the Rockin’ J ranch down the road; that’s a physical ranch with lots of land and horses and cows and purrobably a few pigs.     

 

Well sissy, I’s guess that makes sense. I’s do still think we should have a horse or two and I’s wouldn’t mind havin’ a few pigs either. Maybe then we could have more bacon or even a ham every once in a while.    

 

          Me’s not so sure ‘bout that Raena. Ifin mommy got a pig, she might decide it should be a pet. And we all know ya’ don’t eat pets. Altho’ me wouldn’t mind more bacon and ham either. But you know we don’t have room fur any of those animals, and we fur sure can’t affurd to feed ‘em. Can you ‘magine how many groceries they could pack away? Kittens, And we thought you had a bottomless pit fur a tummy…cows have 4!!!  

 

 

 

 

Four stomachs? 

 

          Not literally Raena, they technically only have one tummy, it’s just divided into 4 pawrts so they can store up lots of food.   

 

Why sissy? It’s not like they hibernate or anythin’. Every cow I’s ever seen has been eatin’. I’s think they eat more than pigs, so I’s don’t know why peeps call those who have a few extra pounds pigs? They should be called cows. 

 

 

 

 

          RaenaBelle!!! They shouldn’t be called anythin’ but their name. It’s mean to call others names. You know that. 

 

‘Course I’s do sissy, I’s was just makin’ a point. I’s would never call anypawdy names. Anyways, I’s guess you’re right, we’re not likely to ever get any horses, cows or pigs fur our ranch. On the bright side, at least we won’t have to share our food, toys or bed with anypawdy else.   

 

          (Dezi shakes her head as she thinks about a cow trying to climb on the bed.) Raena, Raena, Raena….  

 

 

 

 

What? Hey, did you notice mommy seems a lot less stressed out today? Even tho’ the manager was nasty to her yesfurday and has already called us twice this meownin’?.   

 

          Yep Raena, me’s purretty sure it has somethin’ to do with that fone call last night. Me thinks things may be changin’ ‘round here more than we know. Meowin’ of yesfurday, did you hear mommy talkin’ with that contractor who said they weren’t takin’ out the current walls in these ‘pawrtments, they were gonna put up new ones over the existing ones. As ifin these ‘pawrtments weren’t already small enuff; now they’re gonna make ‘em even smaller. The walls will literally be closin’ in on us. MOL  

 

I’s heard it sissy. Are they gonna do the same thing with the ceilin’? I’s can already touch it from the top of the cat tree, now it’s gonna be even closer. Did you hear the man say he drove all the way up here from New Mexico just to change out the sprinkler heads in these ‘pawrtments? He told mommy that contrary to what everypawdy’s said over the years, they are attached to a pipe full of water. Y, He even said that the water comin’ out of ‘em when he removed the old head was black and moldy. He said they were s’posed to be replaced every 5 years. Now that’s funny. Ours have never been changed in all the years mommy’s lived here. Fanky fankfully, he decided to change ours once the ‘pawrtment was empty. He said once he removes that head, buckets of that black moldy water will gush out all over the place.   

 

 

 

 

          Yep, mommy went and talked to the neighbor yesfurday and when she came home she stunk. She said the whole ‘pawrtment smelled like that. (Suddenly the house shakes with a clap of thunder outside) Well Raena, sounds like we need to finish our brekky, we’re fixin’ to get hit by storms. 

 

 

 

 

Yeah sissy, and mommy has to go see what the manager wants. Hopefully the storms won’t last too long and we can visit our furiends soon. And hopefully, we’ll have some good mews to update everypawdy with.
