MeOW-llo Furiends, welcome to the Three Belles Ranch, as Raena would meow. Me knows you’re all here fur Service Cat Furidays, so let me start by offurin’ our ‘pawlogies. Mommy thought she’d be back to “normal” after a week; but no sooner did we get home from the funeral, we’ve had to deal with the ‘pawrtment manager and all of her nonsense. Needless to say, mommy’s brain is purretty fried. She says she feels a bit like a funnel cake, all twisted up with no rhyme or reason.

 

 

 

          Ain’t that the truth sissy. They were in an all fired hurry to omit all pawlicies and purrcedures and rush mommy to turn in all the necessary paperwork fur a new lease and then nuffin’. Everypawdy else ‘round here signed their new lease at the furst of this month, but not us. We didn’t hear a thing. The manager even took the week off last week without sayin’ anythin’ ‘bout our new lease. Mommy says it’s cuz our rent is actually gonna go back down cuz of the complaint she filed, so they were tryin’ to find loopholes to try and counter our legit expenses.

Yeah Raena, they weren’t able to find any, so now they’re tryin’ another route. Mommy’s lived here since 2004, and in that time, she’s made a few requests fur special accommodations. All have been approved, so on the new application where it asked ifin mommy was requesting any special accommodations, she just put, “a continuation of all previous accommodations.” Should be fine, right? Hmmmmpht  They’re sayin’ this is a whole new lease and file and that those requests aren’t in it and she’d need to request them again.

          Yeah, now ain’t really the time to be messin’ with mommy, huh sissy? She calmly told them, this new file doesn’t negate the last 15 years and they needed to pull all those requests and approvals and move them to the new file. She told ‘em that she wasn’t gonna be refilin’ ‘em just cuz they didn’t wanna do their jobs and go thru her old file.

You’re right Raena. Mommy’s so fed up, she ain’t takin’ nuffin’ from nopawdy. They also told her she needed to call Social Security and request a new award letter that states how much she makes cuz the one the government sent in January has expired. Is that not the most ridiculous thing you’ve ever heard? Me heard mommy askin’ just where she could find the pawlicy that said that letter expired. The manager said, “I don’t know, but it does.” To which mommy replied, “It’s not a rhetorical question and just cuz you say so doesn’t make it so”. So, mommy’s back to researchin’ and purrintin’ the correct pawlicies. Mommy said since we now have somewhere to go, it’s time to stop bein’ bullied and make these peeps do the right thing.

          Yep sissy, I’s so purroud of mommy fur standin’ her ground fur all those peeps who are too scared to stand up fur themselves. “Course you know it didn’t stop there. The manager put a notice on our door ‘bout the rent due date. It said “All rents must be paid on the 1st. The 4th a BMC 604 (warning to residents) will be served. This will go into your tenant file—Three Warnings a BMC 601a (notice of termination) will be served. Please arrange your finances so you can pay on the first or pay ahead.” Now this is harassment at it’s finest. Everypawdy who lives here receives some form of Social Security. Those on disability with Medicare like mnommy, get paid on the 3rd of every month. Ifin the 3rd falls on the weekend or a holiday, one’s bank may choose to adjust the balance to reflect that purrson’s expected Social Security payment, but they don’t have too. So, let’s say the 3rd falls on Saturday, the office is closed from Furiday to Monday so there’s no way fur mommy to even pay her rent until the 5th. And of course there’s always the fact that we haven’t seen the new lease yet, but the last lease we signed that doesn’t expire until August 1st, 2019, says the rent isn’t even late until the 10th of any month.   

 

 

 

 

Yep Raena, and mommy doesn’t intend to sign anythin’ that she knows she can’t do. It’s illegal to write a check ifin you don’t have the money to cover it. And peeps on Social Security are livin’ paycheck to paycheck. There’s no way any of them can rearrange their finances. That statement is just ludicrous.
