Blest Sunday: Homebound Is Our Norm

Meow-llo Dear Furiends. Another week has come and gone, and we purray all of you are staying safe and healthy. We’re fine here. We didn’t get out much befur this “pandemic”, so we don’t really notice much of a change. Y, ifin the store shelves weren’t purractically bare, we’d never know anythin’ was goin’ on.

What do you mean sissy? What’s goin’ on?

You know Raena, that whole pandemic thing that has peeps out of work and school. The reason there’s no bread or toilet paper in town. You know, why peeps are s’posed to be practicing “social distancing”.

Oh, that. Yeah, I’s seen a few of those meme things online the other day with kitties complaining cuz their humans were home all the time now. I’s can’t ‘magine what it would be like to have mommy anywhere but home with us. Can you ‘magine wantin’ a lap to lay in or wantin’ some chin scritches and not havin’ mommy around to give them to ya’? These kitties are missin’ the Blessing.

Yeah Raena, that they are. Anyways, we’re purrayin’ fur all our furiends and their families to be safe and stay healthy, ‘specially right now. We do think this whole thing has been blown way out of purrpurrtion, but we certainly don’t want anypawdy to get sick or die.

Of course not sissy. We luvs our furiends so much. Meowin’ of furiends, we wanna fanky fank awnty Susan fur sendin’ us some green papers. And, our furiends Seshat and Kephri sent mommy some cheese and crackers yesfurday. We really purreciate it. Mommy purromissed she’d share the cheese with us. We do luvs cheese.

Yeah Raena, we are so very Blest.

That we are sissy. I’s sure hope that “social distancing” doesn’t mean we can’t send our furiends hugs. I’s gonna link us up with the Kitties Blue fur Sunday Selfies. Then I’s thinkin’ I’s might grab mommy’s lap fur a mid day nap. No social distancing welcome in our house.

Not ifin me gets there furst Raena. As we do each week, we’d like to remind you to take a minute today and every day to Give Thanks fur the Blessings in your lives. Thank you fur bein’ Blessings in ours.

  1. Keep safe girls……………we are homebodies anyway so nothing is really different other than empty grocery store shelves. I think we all find a way to get what we need though. Safe Hugs…….

  3. Peaches and Paprika – Those cat loungers are a good investment. Virtually all cats love, love, love them, so if you have more than one cat, I advise you to have more than one of these loungers because they will be territorial about them! My two Persian kitty brothers fought over one for weeks before I moved a second one from a less desirable place to closer to where the three of us spend time together. While the kitty wars were good for material for my blog posts, I did get tired of the brothers squabbling all the time over the one lounger! The first thing I did when I saw the same lounger I have in this post was verify that both kitties had one – they do!

  4. It’s business as usual here because we work from home anyway so this isn’t as dramatic as it might be. We just have to work a bit differently!

    Stay safe.

  5. we hope you stay healthy and safe. I am much like you….I am pretty much home ALL of the time anyway so this isn’t a hard change for me……..other than not being able to see the people I may want to see and having difficulty with groceries.
