Hey everypawdy, I’s so glad you came back fur part 2 of mine’s story. I’s can’t wait to tell you what happened next. But first, I’s need to tell you that it’s been a really bad week around here. I’s hurled every meal fur days. Mommy was so worried and scared. She purrayed and cried and purrayed and cried some more. She dipped into our car fund and ordered some new foods hoping that would help me. Some of you have donated and said “Use it for whatever you might need”, so she felt she could take that dip without making anypawdy angry.
So Raena, did it help?
Yep sissy, it certainly seems to have helped. She bought a couple different kinds, but so far I’s only able to eat the Nulo freeze dried turkey and duck. But, thanky thankfully, I’s been able to keep mine’s food down fur days now. Mommy was so grateful to have the green papers available to place those orders. And, meowing of gratitude, we wanna Thanky thank our bestest princess pal Erin fur sending green papers fur our car/care fund.
Glad you’re feeling better Raena. We’re still trying to raise the money to get reliable transpurrtation. Donations can be made thru paypal to: lexi.dezi@yahoo.com.
Now, on with the story. Ifin you missed part 1, check it out here. let’s see, where did I’s leave off…Oh yeah, I’s RaenaBelle the Mighty Huntress had jumped in to save mommy from the unknown devil that had sent her into a panicked screaming frenzy. After all, it was 3:30 in the am and she was sure to wake up the entire town ifin she kept screaming like that. Anyways, that’s when I’s saw it.
Saw what Raena?
(Perturbed, Raena continues her story) Mommy was standing at the door frantically jabbing her cane behind the filing cabinet while still screaming and doing some sort of jig with her feet. Behind the file cabinet was the biggest most gigantic angry spider I’s have ever seen. (real spider not shown in fotos) It seemed no matter where mommy’s cane landed, it missed said spider each time. I’s’ll be honest, I’s wasn’t sure which was more dangerous, the spider or mommy with her cane. So, I’s stood back a bit until mommy screeched, “NO!!! Where’d he go?”
Not actual spider.
Seems she lost sight of said huge spider and decided to retrieve always faithful spider killing spray. She began to spray the spider killing poison in huge doses behind everything she could reach. While doing so, she began to feel the effects of said poison and t’ween screams began to cough uncontrollably. Each time she had a coughing spasm, she would do another little dance I’s call the leg crossing dance. It’s the one she often does as she runs walks speedily towards the bathroom to use the facilities.
That’s cause she peed her pants Raena. Something women of a purrticular age seem to be more prone too. Especially those who’ve had certain baby making equipment removed.
Sissy!!! I’s sure mommy would rather not tell the world she peed her pants. Anyways, as she sprayed spider killing spray, screamed and coughed and leg cross danced, I’s finally saw an opening to give mine’s hunting skills a go. Alas, mommy’s screaming then turned from the devilish intruder to me. “RaenaBelle, NO!!! Danger, Danger!!! Poison, Stay Back!!!” She railed. All the while Dezi had barely even turned over.
Hmmmmpht Seemed like ya’ll had things well taken care of Raena. No reason to miss me’s beauty sleep over a little hysterics.
Well, at least mommy has me to take care of her sissy. After about an hour of coughing and leg cross dancing, mommy finally saw a fur ball on the floor moving. Seems the rubbery end of her cane can find fur even on the cleanest of spots. Anyways, mommy stomped down and something went splat beneath her shoes. We’re hoping, believing and purraying, said splat was the gigantic angry spider, however, we can’t be pawsitive. We can be purretty sure however, that the spider killing poison that nearly claimed mommy’s life did in fact kill any remaining intruders that happened to cross it’s path.
I’s’ll take care of you mommy.
Needless to say, mommy hasn’t been keen on any late night chores since this episode. She also suspects that might be partially responsible fur mine’s hurling of meals, but can’t be sure, and since the new foods seem to have fixed it, she’s letting it go. However, we would like to offer a bit of advice.
Purrlease, only use sprays and poisons in well ventilated areas. Keep pets out of the area until the poisons have dried and continue to keep an eye on them fur any signs of poisoning. And, use natural non toxic products when possible.
Another reason me slept thru the whole thing Raena. This wasn’t me’s first rodeo with mommy and spiders. Anyways, the Blessing here is that mommy didn’t kill all of us in her panicked attempts to kill the spider. We’re linking up with the Kitties Blue fur Sunday Selfies.
Thanky thank you sissy. You’re right, we are indeed Blest to be alive. Each day is a Blessing just waiting to be counted. As we do each week, we’d like t remind you all to take a minute today and every day to Give Thanks fur the Blessings in your lives. Thanky thank you for being Blessings in ours. We luvs you all very much.
(Facts of story: Actual spider was likely a wolf spider and was approximately 2-2 1/2 inches of body and leg span to about 6 to 8 inches. Since mommy A is terrified of spiders, it could have been any size and she would’ve had the same reaction.)
Till the next time………………………………………………Be Blest!!!
Raena: Navy blue
Dezi: vibrant Blue
Mommy A, humans: Black

OMC! That spider was huge. Up here wolf spider only get about 2 inches. Including legs. I would have been terrified too

Shivers are running up and down petcretary’s spine…as she too is terribly freaked out at any spider, even the teeniest ones…ages ago when she was still a schoolgirl, there were spiders in her bed…YIKES!
She knows in her head they are mostly useful creatures, but…well you Mommy knows what she means…
Glad you nixed that scary arachnid.
Raena I, Pipo, do hope you are feeling better, and that you are not hurling anymore.
Greetings and hugs to all.

Eesh! That’s scary! We live in a basement apartment so we get some really nasty looking and juicy spiders down here. Bear used to tear the legs off spiders and I was afraid that one day, he was going to come across a brown recluse. He doesn’t do that anymore – but I still do what I did back then – catch the spider in a plastic glass with lid and dump it outside. No reason to tempt fate just in case it is venomous. I know that might seem crazy – but I don’t like taking any lives – except mosquitoes (and spiders EAT mosquitoes, so there’s that). It’s easy for ME to say that because I’m not completely terrified of mice or snakes or spiders – but I remember what it was like when I WAS terrified of mice!
